Excellent room and general facilities. Good location and excellent car parking Breakfast was expensive
Good room service. Ecellent location. Good parking Booked early morning call for 2 rooms...did not get it.
Asstated above, the check in, room service and bar service was excellent. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the food was excellent. The only bad point during our stay was that there was no hot water on our first morning. This was immediately rectified that same morning.
We had theat tickets for a show in Southport and it was right next door so that was great. They were still cleaning rooms on our floor at 5pm and making a bit of a racket, also the TV reception was awful but they said they had been having problems since some gales 2 weeks before!.
We have stayed many times before and always enjoy our stay. It is conveniently and pleasantly located near both the seaside and the town centre. As always, the lifts seem are very slow to come
New clean nice design friendly
friendly staff, good choice of breakfast, lovely comfortable room confusion over price of evening meal - swimming pool not on site
stunning panoramic views from marine suite take your windowlene
the room was very good although there were problems with the TV,the dining room and the food were very good nothing
Everything about it was top class. Loved it. Needs some 'grab' rails in the bathroom. Very scared of slipping when getting in and out of the bath.
The room was a good size and very comfortable. The hotel staff were all pleasant, welcoming and very helpful The bar was very expensive and only very small.
I have never stayed at any hotel that has had such helpful and friendly staff
comfort and relaxing parking charges
Modern luxurious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff especially the doormen. The bar on Saturday night was great fun and food excellent. I asked in advance for soya milk and they had it ready for me. The bar was quite loud on Saturday night and could be heard from our room on the 2nd floor.
The comfort and design of the room and hotel. The constant sound of emergency sirens due to the proximity with the a&e dept.
facilities customer service was poor
The rooms were extremely clean and a good size, staff were very friendly and polite. Excellent location on Lord Street ideal for shops and restaurants. Everything was fantastic! No complaints what so ever!
What a Beautiful Hotel, the staff were very friendly and professional. Good value for money.
Excellent staff superb hotel . Rooms are immaculate and exceptionally clean . Will definetly book again and would recommend to anyone nothing
very friendly staff. very clean hotel parking arrangement isnt too good
It was friendly, the restaurant in particular was very good My room was a bit cramped but livable
Excellent service from the staff at the hotel, great to have car parking and a lovely warm atmosphere throughout the hotel The bathroom was a bit small
the proximity to the sea front, pier, shops and numerous restaurants. The bed was a fold down one and although comfy the springs squeaked when ever you moved!
everything was really lovely
The owner was very polite and the staff very helpful. The room was well equipped and offered everything for a nights stay. The restaurant was reasonably priced with an early bird special 2 courses for £14.95. The hotel had it's own car park which is free and it's on the promenarde and very close to the theater. The room was a little small and was good for 1 nights stay but to stay longer may have been a problem, no storage space!
The hotel served excellent food, with meals including breakfast being individually prepared. The free live music on Saturday night was a welcome addition.
Friendliness of the staff The single room was very tiny with little space to walk around the bed or put my belongings.
room small but comfortable and clean restaurant value for money
The location, the quality of the food. Overpriced and the fact that no offer was made to compensate for a flooded bathroom when the shower in the room above overflowed. It was irritating to have such a huge bed dominating the room at the expense of wardrobe or drawers. Altogether the room and bathroom were ridiculously cramped and better use could have been made of the space. There was hardly room to move around the room and this prevented our being able to fully relax when we were in it.
Good location Service was poor
Our breakfast was one of the nicest I have had.The staff very friendly and helpful. It was very noisy as our room was on the stairwell and their was a wedding on with children running outside our door.
The staff were friendly the location was very central. There was a good choice of food available at breakfast. The decor in the rooms was very dated, and there was little or no hot water available in our bathroom. A sign up said that the boiler was located a long distance away so to run the taps for 10 minutes! This isn't acceptable, and even when we did this hot water did not arrive.
The food was lovely. Enjoyed the pianist and the relaxing atmosphere of the cocktail lounge. Also enjoyed the pool and jazzuzi. Fantastic hotel.
The fact that there was a really good pub on the premises and we didnt have to leave the hotel
Our room overlooked Lord St.and the 4 Poster bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and all staff were pleasant and very helpful. We didn't have to worry about parking as the staff took it to park and returned it to us on our departure. Great! There was a long delay in getting Hot water through which meant a lot of water was wasted before being able to use the shower or jacuzzi. The room decor was dated which was our only disappointment.
friendly atmosphere and helpful staff
location very central the quality of the food was excellent
Always feel very welcome, its a little like visiting your favourite elderly relative. The old lady is looking a little world weary in places but we still love it. Some of the areas, like bathrooms, need a refurbishment however this will not deter us from looking forward to our nexr visit.
Location Bed was small, the hotel was very noisy, swimming pool was only 1.2M deep, not for swimming!
full english breakfast very good. easy parking liked everything about our stay.
I thought that the Bold Hotel was well decorated, Rooms where clean and comfortable and had everything that you would want for a good nights sleep. They had a Carvery on when we went and it was excellent with a good choice of Meats. The restaurant room was light and airy The tables in the restaurant where well spaced out. with room to move between then. Which added to the comfort of having a meal there. In the evening there was music entertainment in the bar with a singer and we enjoyed the whole evening. In the morning we both ebjoyed a full English breakfast. Both me and my husband are looking forward to staying again.. Our stay was to short.
It was in our groups required location. Room size was ok. It was well priced.
The room was spotlessly clean, really well maintained. Massive room, big comfy beds and plenty of extra bedding if needed. The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were really friendly. Decor was a bit dated and lots of stairs but everything else was just superb, which made up for it.
The amount of facility's that was available. The bed was like trying to sleep on a slab of concrete.
The mattress was a combination of being extremely poor quality & extremely old resulting in uncomfortable nights sleep.
not to busy and in a good spot
Cosy & excellent value on special promotions. None
The staff were excellent This hotel is in dire need of modernisation and, in particular. the bedrooms. £80 per night for this standard of hotel is too much. The website is misleading.
The price The best was extremely hard!
friendly, polite, entertainment, clean comfortable rooms
excellent amenities and good food beds not very comfortable
Comfortable bed and very nice sitting room. Good choice at breakfast. Would have liked a broader choice of newspapers but that's a minor quible.
Faultless, the staff, proprietors, and even other guests, made this lovely hotel an even better place to stay. n/A
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.
good breakfast ,good location nice pleasant stay
The staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble
Wifi number one when you are there on business, the room excellent, enough to get your head down and make a cuppa and surf the net, and the breakfast( me being a veggie) thought I was going to be a pain but John and his staff came up trumps..Delicious and too much and loads of tea!! Well not in my book!
The hotel was close to the town centre and not far from the railway station. Very welcoming staff, excellent breakfast and comfortable room. Nothing
Excellent value for money would go back again None
Staff great, breakfast great Shower was dreadful - unable to regulate the temperature in one room and totally freezing in another. Pressure of the shower was an issue too.
Moved when asked rooms were just acceptable in cleanliness terms, lots of dust and hairs in corners and on top of cupboards original room very stuffy with poor ventilation
Bed was small, there was plenty of space in the room for a bigger bed
The location The hotel is badly in need of complete renovation - very poor decor especially corridors. Room was very "tired". Upholstered furniture everywhere was not fit to even send to a charity shop.
Very little actually ! The breakfast bar is the only thing that I can say was the best thing during my stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel. I did not like: The "double room" there was just enough room to move around the bed. The staff seemed unable to speak to guests. We had to ask to be served tea with breakfast instead of being asked if we wanted tea.
Price of room was a bargain Generally quite dated - could do with redecorating the rooms.
very run down hotel
The hotel is excellent value for money with wonderful staff. It is an old hotel and as such it has its creaking points but all these add to the charm. Slightly disappointed at the quality of the mattresses but the hotel cannot be beat for value for money.
The hotel staff were very welcoming, room was lovley and warm, breakfast great the next day. The only item that I would pick up on is that the hotel could do with modernising to bring the interior a little upto date.
We loved the fact you had kept the character of the Hotel Found the rooms rather cold
nothing it was very run down nothing was nice breakfast was cold staff not helpful all foreign jaccuzi not working carpet was threadbear cobwebs in room ,
hotel very good only stayed 1 night bar closed too early
location breakfast too early, no air conditioning
A really good location fantastic views which we had paid for. English breakfast in the mornings were very good and staff were pleasant and well mannered. The noise level on the last night. People were singing at 2am
room was very nice
During the fire alarm at 5.00am there was a lack of staff - in fact no staff down stairs for at least 5 minutes
The location was excellent, room was very large. The jacuzzi did not work.
High ceilings, fairly elegant, good view, good breakfast and service, easy access to room. Cobwebs on the lampshade. Room quite small for price.
Staff are very helpful - bedroom was clean and spacious, great view. Restaurant has been refurbished since my last stay - excellent leisure facilities. Will stay again.
Great central location, close to shops and restaurants - friendly staff - breakfast was enjoyable - The pool is a big plus for this hotel. Good value for money.
nothing very dirty carpetin room bathroom disgusting as above plus food very poor
