Friendliness of staff and cleanliness services- there was no internet connection or phone signal in my room and this is a major problem for me on a bisiness trip
Nothing The fact that they had not processed by booking and had no rooms for us ,this was sorted out only by letting down other guests who had booked.also friends had asked for links with my booking so that our rooms would be together in fact we were at opposite ends of the hotel.
Room was comfortable. Only room service for breakfast, could do with a breakfast room downstairs with self service for customers
The staff were very friendly and hospitable, and took time to help with any requests. And the rooms were of a good standard. It was quiet without any motorway noise, and it was very useful to have a garage which sold lpg easily accessible. The hotel was fine and the setting attractive, but it difficult to find by car coming from the north without using the footbridge from the southbound carriageway, and it is a shortcoming that there is no adjacent pub where meals are available. I don't recall seeing the guest reviews, so cannot answer that question.
The receptionist was on the ball we did not arrive until approx 0115hours. The room was very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable and warm. I have only one adverse comment which was the lack of sugar and only one biscuit between 2. But definately not a complaint. We had a very comfortable stay
The tv Didn't enjoy the stay at all. Receptionist was rude and did not want to sort the problem of our smelly overbearingly hot room and only did so on our insistance with a lot of huffing and puffing. our complimentary biscuits had also been opened and one eaten we did not want them replaced but thought it not good form she did not see this. We moved room but I had to return the original room key to reception even though I was in my pyjamas! I made a complaint the next morning and was told I would recieve a call but I never did. I will never return.
Assistance of the staff was excellent Although the name of the person travelling was included in the booking, the room was reserved in the name of the credit card holder. There was also, not enought milk cartons for the tea and coffee.
Friendliness of people
Convenient location for travelling southbound on M3. Good stopover whilst travelling on business. Location not good if travelling north on M3
Easy access. Plain, simple accomodation if you stay for one or two nights. High priced for the facilities offered. They offer breakfast but couldn't get the order right, after three attempts I cancelled breakfast. The manager did make a suitable adjustment to my account. I stayed for nine long days - Would I stay there again? Only for one night if passing through!
The location was great - away from the city and staff were so helpful and friendly. The road was quite busy.
The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. I didn't think that the room was worth the amount of money we paid.Quite small and no sofa/ seating at all.
Homely atmosphere, good food, good beer.
The staff was so excellent all of them very friendly, the food was absolutely delicisious, breakfest to die for and the rooms were very nicely decorated. I did love my stay and would definitely recommend it to anybody. Thank you for pleasant stay. :-) Everything was perfect
Good food, good sized room with bath
On arrival the staff greeting was exceptionally friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We ate a bar snack later in the evening which was of a very high standard.. We slept well in the lovely bedroom. At breakfast there was a first class menu with numerable choices, ours was cooked to perfection and served well. No there was not one thing we could fault about the Hotel
Matthew, the manager, was an excellent host. He was businesslike, friendly and very helpful. He gave us perfect directions to Stonehenge, and packed a picnic breakfast for us when we had to leave early to go to Heathrow for a flight. The food in the restaurant was outstandingly good, excellent lamb, mashed potatoes, and bar-b-q wings! The beer was local and delicious. The staff were all very gracious. The rooms were handsome and bright, very clean, with a complete tea service and waters, both plain and carbonated, for the guests in each room. None. Except for some loud traffic on the road at night. Very minor.
We had a very lous neighbour that kept us awake for most of the night and the bed in our room was tilted at an angle which made it difficult for us to get comfortable
The room was extremely comfortable- we stayed in the Wilton room and it has a wonderful deep bath, fab comfy bed , nice and warm but fan in cuboard if u need it cool. Amazing choice of brekfast from full English to scrambled eggs and salmon. It was top class Nothing
Beautiful location, lovely building. Staff extremely helpful. Comfortable bed. Riverside views.
good value for money no
Location, quiet and the facilities The waiting staff at breakfast got the order wrong. The Irish coffee was not to a standard we would expect from a MacDonald Hotel.
Quiet location, clean. Cleaner was extremly helpful when I was struggling to carry my bags up the stairs, genuinely concerned and on hand to assist me. The food in the restarant was not of a good standard. I had belly of pork and left the whole thing, overcooked. When appraoching the bar for drinks I was faced with an abrupt bar man who did not even look up and instructed me to sitdown to be served. I would stay again, but would be cautious about eating there.
We had a very good break here, staff were friendly, room was a little small but was clean, food was really good and the staff in the restaurant were really lovely. Bit overpriced but we had a nice time so we were happy.
Very comfortable, quiet and excellent dinner and breakfast. Nothing
Pleasant surroundings. Free broadband in room internet - remeber to take Ethernet cable Dining facilities are limited to A la carte at one end, and sports bar at the other with nothing in between
This was our fourth visit to Botley Park. We stay there because we enjoy the comfort of the bedroom and the food in the dining room The Bar prices. I can buy a ltr of whisky for what I paid for two singles at Botley Park!
Friendly atmosphere and overall service provided by members of staff
Mold in shower, no phone in room, poor heating, poor wifi
The central location in the city The noise from the beer garden on Saturday evening
The owner was very helpful in helping me figure out how to get around London as there was an Underground strike. Certainly not something she had to do given I was staying in Salisbury. The breakfast was good. Free wi-fi is a good thing. Location was convenient for the cathedral and not too far from the train station either. Not the hotel's fault I suppose, but if I'm able to reserve the room with Amex, I ought to be able to pay with Amex. The windows are old and so its like the people on the street are in your room, which probably isn't an issue in non-street facing rooms. The knobs on the doors are impossible to operate, which I mentioned to the owner and its on their list to replace. Would like to have been able to get the wi-fi in the room and not just in the downstairs common area.
Great position inn the city centre - good food in the bar and a good breakfast. Rooms are redecorated and mave a modern cosy feel. There can be a bit of late night noise are people leave the bar at the weekend .
Its actually a pub with bedrooms really, with a disco that goes on til 2am on a Saturday night! However, if you get a room at the back its quiet enough to sleep Disco til 2am
Excellent receptionist Breakfast service too slow - no time for full breakfast as had train to catch. Breakfast late to start at 7-30 for business guests. Room door rattled.
The convenience, food and size of Room 302 with bath was excellent
Being very central
Friendly helpful staff .clean comfortable room.Tea and coffee provided in room. Good Location Little noisy in the early hours,
Good location nice gym and small pool a good hotel for business or leisure.I was however charged twice on my credit card and this was resolved by the management Food was expensive considering the local restaurants that were available in the area. GBP13.50 for breakfast seems on the high side when the IBIS Hotel was half of that price
Friendly informative staff, excellent breakfast, unique design of bedroom, bathroom and lighting Bedroom was too warm at night. difficult to open windows and would have been noisy
Convenient for cruise Paying for car park
ony the above, rudeness of a member of staff
adam was very helpful breakfast price too high
food in the restraunt was fantastic, staf were very friendly
the rooms were a good size and warm. there were no hand towels or wash cloths in room.
The exercise room is fantastic and so are the people. The breakfast was amazing, clean, and hot. Need to replace the carpeting on floor 4. The bathrooms are new. the furniture in good shape, but the carpeting is horrible.
Good breakfast Uncomfortable beds. No decent tv. Swimming pool out of use. Small rooms.
Friendly and helpful staff Soiled clothing items from a previous guest left in the room.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable bedroom. Pleasant dining room and lounge, food good excellent breakfast. As stairs to bedrooms very steep need to fix the bannister as it wobbles. Serviettes on the table would be nice without having to ask for them at each meal time.
Really fabulous stay. Would definitely go again.
Nice room. Nice rural location. None really. T.V. could have been a bit bigger. ( If I was being super critical )
The staff were extremely friendly and said to treat the hotel as my own home. Breakfast was great Bar was only open between 7pm and 9pm. It would have been nice if it was open for longer as there was no where to sit and relax with a drink after dinner other than your own room.
Friendly staff, historic building, quiet surroundings
Foog and service Excellant and comfortable relaxing room Tea and coffee facilities in the room were a little odd.
Great Room and amenities, scenic location Restaurant closes early
We had a fantastic time & the staff were all very helpful for a young family
The room was very good. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful No
We were upgraded to an excellent room, when the staff found out, that there were not the requested bed for a child.
The bed was very comfortable, the room large and nicely equipped with a small settee and coffee table and a modern television. We were served in a friendly and efficient manner at dinner. Breakfast was delivered to our room on time. Centrally located. The room was shabby with ill-fitting carpets, bed hangings falling down and light bulbs not working. Although other rooms had air-conditioning, ours didn't. The shower didn't work properly. The quality of the food at dinner and breakfast was disappointing.
The room was very clean. The breakfast was very poor as was the service at reception.
bed was comfortable. nice building. breakfast was nice the service at dinner was poor and the restaurant manager was defensive as to why the meal was not up to scratch. they did not have what we wanted, the service was slow, quality of meat poor, with the excuse that the head chef was not working that evening and they had lots of room service to attend to. Also the bedroom was extremely noisy and the decor was very tired
friendly reception staff, great open fires in reception/bar. Room too hot with no way of cooling other than opening windows
Efficient service in the dining room
The room service food was good. The hotel is rather stuck in a timewarp and needs updating. The staff were not particularly friendly and the atmosphere is not welcoming.
The location of this hotel is excellent with reasonably priced carparking. Our room was surprisingly large and the decor was very pleasant. The pull out sofa bed provided for our daughter was very uncomfortable. It was very hard and every spring could be felt! The bathroom was a bit too small, especially when compared to the spacious room.
Breakfast buffet, hotel peaceful during our visit
Fabulously comfortable and huge bed, everything you need without having to ask for. It's an absolute pain having to ask for extra pillows/towels when it's late and your room is the furthest away from reception but in this instance that wasn't necessary, for which we were very grateful! The shower gel is also a welcome added extra. The only blot was the highway maintenance guys staying there whose vehicles were parked outside our window. Diesel vans left running whilst the men chatted about the day ahead and rolling fags was certainly a rude awakening. No consideration there. However, on the 2nd night we closed the windows and had the fan on (also supplied!) all night and the noise outside did not bother us. Thankyou Premier Inn.
convenient situation. inefficient. could not find my reservation, then billed me for non-arrival! still owe me £58. wont be using premier inns again.
There was nothing wrong with the accommodation, it worked as expected. The attached restaurant worked well despite being very busy.
Warm, clean, confortable, friendly, welcoming. Huge free car-park. Good food, excellent service. Nice breakfast.
The room was clean and food was very good and well priced The bad point with the food was the vegatables were cold
we went in the new forest which was lovely we came up there for our 22nd wedding anniversary no
The receptionist was fantastic, all the staff were lovely. The bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing! The breakfast buffet was not very well laid out, there were no trays which makes it tricky with two small children and not all the crockery and cutlery was clean
Usual big comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast inferior to Scottish Premier Inns standard. Poorly cleaned cutlery and glasses in restaurant. Reception often not manned albeit for short periods.
It is very easy to find and the parking etc was good and safe. The bed was most uncomfortable and I had to sleep in a chair.
Helpfulness of staff considering that I am disabled Lack of a walk in shower in the disabled bedroom
The location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful at both the reception and lounge/bar area
efficient, clean, comfortable very few shopping facilities particularly since it was not near local shops
The food, the bar seating and the room. The swimming pool was small but made smaller by half being sectioned off for swimming lessons.
Very nice room. Good breakfast. Staff not very welcoming. I was charged for a newspaper I did not receive or order. This was however resolved. A couple next to us in the queue had also been cahrged for a paper they ahd not ordered. They ahd had it left by their door. they were asked to return it at the desk when they requested a refund, which I did not think was reasonable. I did not like having to pay to park, when it was the hotel's carpark and not in a particularly busy area.
Friendly staff in bar area After ordering pancakes for breakfast, asking 3 different staff members to check for them and waiting 1 hour still not to receive them, total shambles
The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The waiting staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was lovely. The room was quite dark and there was no minibar. The television had a terrible reception and there was no guide as to what channels were what. At breakfast, the glass I was given was dirty, and I did not have a full set of cutlery, I had to request this. The waiting staff were very friendly although the receptionist was verging on rude. There was persistant banging throughout the night which kept me awake. Also, the food in the restaurant was overpriced and not of brilliant quality.
It is well placed, the staff were welcoming and the facilities were good. The rooms were well equipped There is a fair amount of noise thruogh the night from the motorways but if you want easy access to the motorways, that is the price you pay. It was unpleasantly noisy but more a good excuse for an insomniac
The location of the hotel was perfect. Just off the motorway, but set in lovely wooded gardens so therefore not much noise. In fact, no noise, with window closed! Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and something for everyone. Would def recommend this hotel, and would use it again myself.
Very clean, well laid out hotel, near to southampton for our cruise departure. Would stay again with no hesitation. Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Hotel entrance can be tricky to spot on roundabout. No issues at all
Excellent reception, good food, nice room, nice pool and fitness. Materass awful, bathroom not ventilated, WC flushes poorly, WiFi internet cost 15 GBP
Location, courtyard nice except..., price not unreasonable. Feel duped. Booked a "historical" room based on a picture of a charming room offered when booking. Got to room and it was a B minus take on modern. Asked at desk and was told all the rooms had been renovated, they were updating the website. Too late. False advertising. Internet horrible to the point of being useless, rooms very hot in summer. Kegs and chairs stacked/stored in the courtyard ruin the charm and ambiance. Shocked at the five star rating. Would hate to see an even four star property...
Room and service was excellent. Food was delightful. Close to everything we would need, ie bus/train station and shopping. Bed was hard and the pillows felt like they had got mixed up with sand bags.
Enthusiasm of young staff Some of the young staff needed training in finesse at waiting at tables, also sometimes their facility in English was not the best
Attractive building and courtyard; helpful staff. None
Very friendly staff, made to feel welcome, highly recommended hotel. Key cards for access to room, technology that doesnt work!! Twice had a wasted trip to room only to return to reception to have the card replaced. Get rid of this system it is infuriating & spoils a superb hote.
Cozy and charming hotel with ancient roots in local history. Attentive staff. Great location. Had no noise problems. Dinner was a little hit-or-miss; chicken dish was excellent, fish dish very ho-hum.
excellent location, very romantic room, charming staff + excellent food in the restaurant
Help from staff, location of hotel, the fact that it was 800 years old. Room was a bit small.
Close to the Town Centre, very clean hotel with attentive staff. Food was reasonably good. Brakfast was great. Hotel is on a cross roads and it would appear near Bars and clubs, so at around 2pm it can be quite noisy. Room 84 either has the main water or sewage down pipe and was very noisy at times.
Location is marvelous. The atmosphere is also nice. When we took a bath, hot water didn't come out quite enough. It took ages to fill the tab. It's a bit annoying to unlock the door of the entrance to the accomodation area every time.
Breakfast fire alarm going off in the early hours
Reception staff were charming & helpful-excellent service. Reception on t v was terrible-we were unable to watch as the picture was so poor. Hotel was very rambling, and difficult to fnd our way around.
Quiet location. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast - from heated containers, and with hot plates. Other hotels take note! Hotel confirmed wifi was £15 for 24 hours. I told them this was excessive - especially as many people just want to download/send some e-mails. Checked available networks on my netbook & logged on to 'ibahn' - which has an option for 1 hour free!! Ditto next day.
Hotel was clean and staff was nice. It is in nice grounds. Breakfast was ok. Did not agree with the fact men had to wear shirts with a collar for dinner in the restaurant. That seemed to be a bit old fashioned. So my husband and I went to restaurants close by. Also thought the dinner menu was a bit over priced.
Efficiency, Cleanliness and Comfort were all good.
We were not allocated the room we had booked - only a double rather dbl dbl. The initial room was also allocated up stairs, when we had a pushchair. There was no lift access. It took an hour to fix up a new room, as I had to requeue to complain. It then took 6 hrs to get a cot in the correct room. Evening food quality debatable. Breakfast very good
Comfort, cleanlinness and welcoming staff.
The spa & jacuzzi Limited menu in both restaurants. Would have liked more pasta dishes & vegetarian.
Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The receptionist altered our booking on request and assisted us with our luggage . The room was lovely, no compalints at all. Everything we needed was there, even a fan to cool us down!! We used room service for dinner and it was delivered very fast, even though they were very busy in the dining room. Next morning the buffet breakfast was the best I have experienced anywhere. A great choice and something to suit anyone. All in all a great stay at a great hotel. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would use it again if holidaying or travelling in the area. Nothing to dislkike.
We are from the US and spent 17 days in Europe. We chose this hotel because we were a little tired of big cities (although this was a bit of the beaten path) and the rooms/beds were larger then others (we have three kids). The pillows are the best! And breakfast was divine (read - huge!). Jacuzzi was tiny (fit three people only) and freezing (maybe around 93 degrees F) ... Sauna and steam room were nice though.
The pool facilities were very good and open late into the evening. We stayed in a standard room which was actually relatively large with a very comfortable bed.
very slow service in restaurant & booking in
Could not get drink after 11pm as being residents we thought that this would have been avaible. Disappointed at the bar service as we were in a private room for about 50 guest and the bar in the room was not in operation
Room clean, plenty of hot water and tea making facilities. Room very noisy from traffic outside, couldn't open a window when the room because of the traffic noise. Should be a choice of duvet or blankets because some people don't like duvets.
The Hotel was ok, room was nice and big. There was a large tear in the Curtains, a minor point but you did ask!!!!
Friendly welcome and comfortable room.
It was acceptably clean and the room was a nice size for a family room. Yes, they had closed the restaurant for refurbishment, and pne of the main reasons we booked this particular hotel was because it had a restaurant next door where we could have dinner and breakfast as we were arriving late and leaving early.
The adjoining pub/restaurant served a great breakfast and evening meals were good. Service was excellent ! Some road noise and door banging late at night. Double bed was comfy but the single beds were not.
Cosy and beautiful place to stay.
Inclusion of Full English Breakfast in the price Poor Signage outside Hotel
Unfortunately I did not dine at the hotel but hope to do so on my next visit.
Change to name to Ellington Lodge a the Concorde Club - then people can find it!
Friendly, comfortable and good location
Staff very helpful. Room good size & clean. Tea / Coffee making facilities, trouser press & good bathroom facilities. Very pleasant restaurant & bar, evening meals very good & not overpriced. Breakfast was excellent, either buffet or Full English. me & my wife stayed in a ground flor room for one night after dropping my daughter at Uni. Will definately stay there again on future visits.
modern, clean and comfortable.Quiet location away from the road.Food was of reasonalble quality and price. Car park area was scruffy, having to walk past the bins to the restaurant wasn't pleasant.
close to airport without being able to hear the planes. Staff were friendly and helpful
Fantastic None that become apparant during stay
friendly reception staff. In room facilities re hot drinks and biscuits. there was a little bit of an odd smell - maybe a little bit musty - not terrible, but just noticable when you first went in.
Lovely room. Very friendly staff. Excellent service and breakfast We booked very last minute and they didn't seem to be expecting us. Bar menu fairly plain. Evening food ok but not brilliant.
Staff were over streached on the Friday evening but sill managed to provied a professional service and a smile. Room was clean and well presented.
Excellent stay in a well apponted room. Very good food. Ideal for a quiet relaxing stay.
Very friendly staff, rooms are individual and to a very high standard. No bad points.
It was very good value for money. The room was clean, nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'd stay there again. No complaints at all
very good food is fab
Smart rural dining pub with food above normal pub standards The rooms are up a narrow twisting stair which is awkward with large/heavy cases.
extremely friendly and warm staff not applicable
Excellent breakfast included, nice bar First room had (147) some intermittent mechanical noise but I requested move and they complied
The whole experience - staff - accommodation - food N o
Location, leisure facilities Being woken by cleaners moaning about other cleaners not doing there job very loud
Room was large, well appointed and clean. More than I needed for the night, but recommended to me and with a late arrival I preferred a traditional hotel. No breakfast or coffee.
Staff were charming and very helpful. Location fantastic and bar extensive Hotel is a bit dated and not worthy of 5 star
very pleased with all areas of the hotel ,i have no complaints at all.
Really good location for West Quay shopping Only grip was that the pillows were really hard and uncomfortable
Noisy bar area with leaking roof
the view from our window the breakfast wasnt as good as i expected, no pancakes!
No Air Con in room only a broken floor standing fan.
The high standard of service
We have now stayed twice at hotel and have found staff helpful and atmosphere very relaxing n/a
Comfortable, clean & homely. Helpful staff with good ideas of things to do & places to go. Ideally situated for many interesting areas.
Very comfortable and friendly welcome. All small details thought about for the room and the breakfast was amazing.
The friendly and helpful nature of the staff to ensure you had a wonderful stay.
The fabulously warm welcome. I instantly felt at home. Would strongly recommend it as a place to stay.
Lizzie and David have been the friendliest B&B people on our trip. Breakfast excellent, room equipped with an eye fro the detail. Swimming pool and terrace in the garden were a surprise.
Friendliness of staff No
We were made to feel so welcome, really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return.
relaxed atmosphere and v pleasant and helpful hosts.
everything. the place was beautiful.(centrally located to Salisbury and the New Forest and only 30 mins away from the sea!) The owners David & Lizzie were very welcoming and extremely helpful, The food was fantastic. Rooms gorgeously decorated and well sized. n/a
The relaxed friendliness of our hosts. Excellent breakfast . Overall 100% satisfaction. Coming home at the end of it !
