We have been staying here for years to visit family, usually is good but not this time. Air conditioner vent started dripping and went all night- we had to put a bucket and listen to it drip. Locks were broken at pool and back entry doors. Carpet was in pretty bad shape
Everything but my one issue Both days the hotel cleaning staff DID NOT leave us coffee cups for the following morning. If you take used cups - PLEASE LEAVE CLEAN CUPS. Otherwise, no problems.
Loved the roominess of the suite. King mattress was excellent. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Standard scrambled eggs with sausage patties and make-your-own waffles. Kind of what you would expect.
My sister and I stayed for a week. The room was very comfortable and the entire facility was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ian made us feel as though we were coming home in the evening and was so welcoming. The breakfast was always good with a nice variety. The iced lemon water was so refreshing on hot days and was always available. There is a nice restaurant across the street where we had lunch-- good food and convenient! We will definitely stay here again!
I was visiting a friend of mine in the area .It was clean and got an excellent price!
Clean room & linens. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed having the suite layout. 2 sinks a major plus. Would go with 4 1/2 stars, but not available in this format. Staff was excellent. Will definitely use on next visit. Free breakfast was so so. Coffee machine was down, and consequently limited some of the food options that require hot water such as oatmeal or tea. Eating area was cleaner than many we've experienced.
My bed was one of the most comfortable motel beds I've slept on in over 20 years of being a business road warrior. This is an older facility, but well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.
I liked the service, it was outstanding! I had to leave, I would have liked to stay a couple more days.
Fast check-in on a game day! Business center / store was not open at 4am.
Great hotel at an excellent location near shops, restaurants and the Jobing.com arena. The pool was very nice and food by the pool was excellent! We stayed there to attend the Coyotes Vs. Minnesota Wild hockey game. The Wild hockey players stayed at the hotel and my son was thrilled to meet and take photos after the game at the hotel. nothing - everything was great!
A/C worked flawlessly while it was 116 outside Didn't have USB charging station at any outlet
There was a nice lounge on property! Very nice staff but slow service! It was a busy wknd! The valet staff were amazingly helpful in checking us in during a rare AZ rainstorm! Great historical features to this place! The bathroom wasn't clean enough for me! This place asks for too much money not to have a spotless bathroom! Brown splatter over the lower half of bathroom door and a shower head with calcification from 1970s! I was able to receive a great rate for my time there so I went with it. But if i had paid the listed price, I would be irate! I hope my experience was a one off wknd!
We liked the restaurants, the pool, the grounds, the bar area, the staff. Very nice resort. Didn't like the fact that some of our team mates were granted $89/ night by the hotel( 3-4 nights) and because we booked thru booking.com in advance our 7 nights were at approx 160/night.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Resort overall was all you could ask. Awesome pools with waterslide. Three golf courses, with amazing rates for guests. great activity area with bochee ball/table tennis/corn hole, tennis courts. Day spa was well apportioned though I did not make it there. The buffet brunch near the golf shop is a must and a GREAT value (red's grill..I think), all of the restaurants ave dining had great food. The entire resort is in a residential area which is strange but nice that it wasn't a busy area. Great stay, highly recommended. Nothing negative comes to mind. Great place to stay with couple or family.
Clean room. Rooms were very small. Breakfast was poor..
I liked the room, the bed, and the complimentary snack bar
The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The added extras like the drink on arrival and the 'help yourself food' in the kitchen was awesome! Nothing!
Location, beautiful room for the cost, nice bathroom and shower. Private entry, very pleasant outdoor areas. Parking is a little inconvenient, and no visitor parking meant visitor had to park across the street at the strip mall.
Service was good and the rate was fair. The shower had mold and I wore my flip flops to shower.
The thing that impressed me the most was that they had a refrigerator in the common area stocked with name brand pop, bottled water, ice tea, milk, juice, etc... available for free 24 hours a day. There were also name brand snack items - chips, granola bars, breakfast bars, etc... The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet for storing stuff, as well as a vanity under the sink. Towels were big and fluffy. The parking was limited. There was plenty of parking, but it was laid out in an odd fashion, that might require a bit of walking if you didn't get one of the close in spots. The shower was a corner unit that might be tight if you a larger person.
The price was ok. The place was located in a maze of parking lots and was so hard to find at night. The room was tiny and smelled like old cigarettes. The bed was horrible and you could feel the springs in your back. The shower was the worst! Little tiles on the floor of the shower that when wet and soapy became an ice rink .
Staff is fantastic and super helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. Great proximity to Banner Medical Center (closest hotel to the hospital). Thankfully great air conditioning considering the super hot Arizona weather! Plus complimentary snack room always well stocked.
Room appeared clean, although it was small, old and small details like scuff marks and older paint made it seem run down. Shower only in small bathroom, entrance to tiny rooms is more like a motel, pool is not heated and you had to go pick up and drop off the key and towels at the desk when you wanted to use it. It reminded me more of a YMCA that an Executive Center. I was expecting a hotel.
The room was reasonably comfortable, although the heat/cooling was tricky to figure out (I'm not sure we ever did, really). The wifi was great. I liked the all-day availability of free snacks and drinks -- actually, that was really great. Kind of like home. The staff was very, very friendly - kudos on that! Well done, all! This is a little nitpicky, but the breakfast options were a little light. Fortunately, I like cereal, but my wife doesn't really. The heating system was just kind of weird. I couldn't figure out the chart that was supposed to explain how to use it - and when I sent a picture of it to two VERY smart friends, they couldn't agree on what the chart meant. Also, the trash cans in the room were pretty tiny. We moved the big one from the bathroom into the main room, and that was better.
Comfy beds. Nice grounds. In the middle of Glendale and near Thunderbird hospital. Like the campus atmosphere! Five bucks to park. Very hard to find a parking spot near the front.
Overall a clean and utilitarian type of room. Nothing fancy for sure and if you're looking for a low price without worries this would be a great selection. Paper thin walls - I was in a separate building off of the main hotel so can't say whether all buildings are this bad, but I was wakened by the neighbor's alarm clock and overheard complete phone conversations - it was to the point I went outside to make calls.
When my husband and I stayed at Springhill, I couldn't have been more pleased. We went down there for a concert which ended up getting canceled. The ladies at the front desk helped us find things to do for the night and were just overall very friendly. The breakfast was good along with the unbeatable price. We are already planning to stay there again next month.
Staff was helpful even late at night. Breakfast bar included Right next to a lot of shopping Breakfast wasn't great
Staff is friendly, the mall is right there, clean rooms, awesome breakfast, clean hotel, id definitely stay here again.
The breakfast buffet was especially nice compared to the usual sort of "continental breakfast" hotels offer. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The suite had a living room area with a couch and its own TV.
Nice staff and located near shopping and restaurants. The pool and hot tub is outside. This is fine except for the days when the temp is 100+.
Very friendly/helpful staff, they have been trained well polite, know the area and offer good advice. They went out of their way to help us, the morning of checkout we had a flat tire and could not change it. We called mobile service and the staff allowed us to stay and offered cold water and other liquids as it was 107 degrees outside. The rooms only had a single TV, while it is big I do think two TVs would be better.
We liked the size of the room, the comfy bed and the kitchenette. The size of the trash cans, to small.
Pool was large and slide very good for kids and adults. Rooms were quite good and the price was very good. Balcony was also very nice. Appreciated the computer and printer availability. USC students were there during our stay. Got a little noisy and a lot drunk.
The friendliness of the staff and the roominess of the condos.
That you could cook in your room and cut expenses by bringing your own groceries. Not a whole lot, they had poor customer service, Their planning for the july 4th holiday was horrible. There entertainment for karaokee was distgusting. I was not satisified at all with this resort for how many rooms we booked.
The room was very clean - staff friendly and helpful. It looked like it hadn't been kept up. We stayed here 2 years ago and the grounds upkeep was excellent but this time around it looked like they cut costs and the upkeep was one of them. We needed a extra blanket for my kids and there were none, asked for extra shampoo/conditioner as we only received 1 of each in our room with a tub plus shower and was told we had to pay extra. Last time we stayed we had 4 in the room plus Tide laundry soap which is now not included in the rooms. The sofa bed was horrible with springs popping out - no cushion on the thin mattress - very uncomfortable for my kids.
I loved the comfortable and spacious rooms. Rented a 2 bedroom suite but probably would have been fine with a large 1 bedroom suite. Very clean. came to spend weekend with family and friends felt the hotel accomodated all of us from ages 2 years to 46 years. cant bring an ice chest to the pool area. Could not find an ice machine anywhere.
The rooms were very nice. The pool was great. Terrific location, close to our daughter. no
It was surrounded by food locations Their breakfast
Very nice staff, great location for what I needed, and comfortable room.
Traveling alone it was nice to see families gather in the lobby and enjoy a good time; they recapped their experiences while sharing a nice free breakfast. There was something for everyone. I liked the waffles. They were easy to make and yummy! The purpose for my visit. The price for the room made it affordable.
The location was convenient and the price was good. The people on staff were friendly, professional and responsive. I was there for 8 nights and got to know them a little bit... good people. It was very noisy, probably due to the location. It seems to be old and tired. Many things were not working properly. They weren't important enough to me to complain, but I did give a list to the front desk when I checked out so obey could fix things for the next patrons.
Good restaurants near by so you can stay away from your room. Room was a dump! Filthy, no sheets on bed, toilet paper sink was dirty. I saw plenty of " girls of the night" pretty sure it's a rent by the hour type place. I travel 270 days per year and stay in a lot of hotels I'm used to seeing some bad stuff but this is the only time I've reviewed one. It's so bad I never slept there I got another hotel in Scottsdale for a bit more but soooo worth it.
this place hasn't much positive to say about -- the location was ok but not easy to find at 11pm at night. Back parking area has hotel furniture and mattresses laying around --the whole place needs serious capital investment to bring it in to standards of 2016.
I don't know what the other reviews are complaining about this place was amazing! The bed was even more comfortable than my bed back home I had the best sleep I have had in a long time thanks to this hotel. The room came with a couch, coffee table, flat screen tv, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and a coffee maker with enough coffee to make four cups. The lady at the front desk was very courteous and sweet to us. Our room was very clean except for a stain on the floor you can tell they tried to get out but the carpet was bright and cushy so I am guessing a guest spilled something when it first was installed. The shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion are made from a very good brand that I would get if I could find here in phoenix. If I ever need a hotel again I will definitely be staying here it is cheaper and has more amenities than the others around the area. Plus that bed was just amazing. The only thing I didn't like was they accidentally double charged me but I talked to the lady at the front desk when I checked out and she quicky fixed the problem without any fuss.
Proximity to many bars and restaurants. Also next to Tanger Outlet. Great free breakfast. Very friendly staff at front desk.
Verified my reservations day before arrival. Reserved and paid for double beds. At chech in I was told they didn't have any doubles left but I could drive 15-20 miles from where I was at the get the rooms. Not an option since the concert started in 20 minutes. Then they offered me a roll away. Desk informed that she would give me my room at no cost because of the 100% guarantee. That of course made the uncomfortable roll away worth it. Until the next morning when we spoke to the day manager who informed us that since we booked it through a 3rd party the 100% guarantee didn't apply. We informed him about what we had been told by the front desk the night before. He finally agreed, refused to provide any documentation for the credit which may or may not show up as a credit in a week or so. Not happy or convinced it will happen!
The staff was exceptional here and everything exceeded our expectations. We visited when the area was quiet- nothing at the stadium or the arena- and loved it.
Clean. Comfy beds. Pet friendly
Good location for us. Very reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff. Their cookies are awesome.... Nice and clean. The bedding is older at this facility than what we are used to with Hampton. The breakfast only had instant eggs and the fruit was not as good as you would expect for that part of the country.
The facilities were nice and modern. All equipment was working and functional. No one ever wanted to clean the breakfast tables at the hotel breakfast. We sat at a dirty table every day. The hotel will not change sheets the entire stay, yet they expect you to tip the housekeeper.
The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. My key would not work in the reader to come in from outside. I was locked out for a while and had to call my boyfriend on the phone to come let me in. The curtains would not shut all the way so the sunlight came in early in the morning.
Close to many different areas, venues Did not like that the air conditioning comes on only when you enter the room. It was 115 outside and the room was 84. Took quite a while to get to 74
Staff was very friendly & concerned, rooms were clean & great We had issues with self check out on the TV & couldn't reach the front desk if you hit the button on the phone, the girl in the front said sometimes it does not work and sometimes had to hit 0. but she did say she would get it looked at.
Employees were very helpful and friendly. Great value AND free breakfast. No fridge - I thought that was standard in rooms.
The breakfast was terrific. Lots of selection and tasty. Having the breakfast open at 6:00am was important because we had to be over at the tennis center at 6:30am. Also, having coffee available early was really nice. The people working the breakfast were all very nice and very accommodating. The lobby was a great space for our group to congregate and socialize and there was room for others to do the same.
Breakfast was a little skimpy.
Fairly close to the spring training baseball fields that we visited. I thought the price was way over priced for the hotel. The hotel was loud, dirty and I would never stay there again. Dogs were allowed in rooms and were barking all the time.
It was at a good location and good price bed was comfortable. We were only really there to sleep as we were out in the city most of the time Some of the smoking rooms are located next to or in between non-smoking rooms I could smell the smoke smell in the bathroom
They have bar, microwave, fridge and cable....... The bar closes at 9 always, the floors had the same burger splattered across 2 different hallways over a three day stay, the shower would go freezing every minute or so and the towels are only big enough for a smurf. You definetly get what you pay for. Wasn't gonna write a review, but was asked by Kayak 3 different times.
Rooms were just fine, not dirty but not above standard. Breakfast was awful. Facilities are heavily outdated. Location was in the boonies.
very nice hotel I can't think of anything
Bar was ok Room was dirty. Mold in bathroom, damaged furniture in the room, old food and trash on the floor under the bed.
Room was clean and stay was comfortable. My newborn slept longer through the night so that was a plus! No elevator.
Great and convenient location clean rooms and friendly staff. Great pool area and sports bar. Close to freeway and shopping.
the sports bar the carpet
Staff was very accommodating. Although not requested, an upgrade was offered at no extra charge. The furnishings were old and not in good condition. Housekeeping needed improvement.
The hotel was as described. The suite we stayed in was adequate for our needs. The staff was really nice and answered all of my questions. The pool was great during the 90 degree weather. The location was on a major road so access to Peoria and nearby restaurants was relatively quick. The breakfast both days was pretty good. The only issue I had were the dirty carpets. There was no trash and it appeared they had been vacuumed, but the carpets definitely need to be deep cleaned. Our baby crawled on the floor and her hands and knees became very dirty. Same goes with our bare feet.
The front desk and maintenance people were very responsive.
The night manager was helpful. The first room we were given turned out to have someone in it. The second on had been used by someone before we got there. The third was big but smelled like smoke and was musty. The tub still had water in it. The TV had to be reprogrammed every time it was turned on and the volume would come on at max. We have stayed at this hotel before but it is going down hill. We won't be staying there again.
There was no jacuzzi as advertised and the lobby was filthy!
Designated smoking area, friendly and accommodating staff, clean room Bed was firm, breakfast was small
Spent 4 nights in July 2009 and loved everything about the Residence Inn by Mariott Phoenix Glendale. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Front desk and other staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was very nice and we were even able to grab something before the 6am start when we left for the day at 5:30. Evening reception is also a great touch. Location is wonderful...close to the freeways and many fun restaurants at Westgate Center. Loved the convenience of printing out boarding passes using the computer in the hotel's business area. And my boyfriend loved that it was walking distance from Cabelas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
My family and I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite for three nights. We loved it! It was spacious and had everything. We needed for the kitchen. It was only 2mins from the university of Phoenix stadium where my sisters graduation ceremony was being held. I wish we had stayed longer. Overall for the price, it was a good deal. Next graduation we're going to book the same suite.
this hotel is in walking distance to the stadium. its very clean and roomy for the money. we got a suit where the kids stayed in one room and my husband and i stayed in another.i will go back again.
If you are looking for a very nice place to relax with peace and quiet. Please visit the Glendale Residence Inn. Also, the customer service is great and they have a wonderful staff, My husband and I stayed here for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and the hotel is very clean and everything is upgraded. Tip - Walking distance from the Westgate with nice restaurants and shop and the dancing water just like Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Beautiful, fantastic wonderful, beautiful suites with full kitchens and granite counters. it was nicer than my house. this is an amazing place to stay. great breakfast every morning, this place is a 10
Very accommodating staff - I booked a great flight/hotel package and they matched the discounted hotel rate when I requested an additional room. The suites are moderately sized and have no partition between bed and living space, so I booked a second room for my pre-teen boys next to our room. Our room overlooked the pool and we did have a bit of noise in the evening from other families using the pool - nothing over the top. Exercise faciliites were great. Morning breakfast included hot foods like scrambled eggs, french toast, waffles, sausage, potatoes - more than the traditional cold cereal and pastries served by other hotels promoting 'free continental breakfast'. My boys were happy - so was I. VERY close to movies, sports venues, restaurants and shopping.
THis was a great weekend getaway spot. My wife and I travel a lot and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The free buffet breakfast and evening drinks were great too. The best part of our stay was the fact that we could go across the street to a place called West Gate. They have some many things to do. Restaurants and bars galore!!!
I stayed at the Residence Inn in Glendale AZ (right across from the Univeristy of Phoenix Stadium) and had such a great time. We were there for a tournament in town that had the area filled, and after hearing the stories about the other near by hotels, I have to say I am so grateful that I satyed at the Residence Inn. From the minute we got there, to the minute we left, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great one! Breakfast was delicious (and free). The pool was absolutely wonderful....it almost had a resort feel to it!!! I highly reccomend staying at this hotel, I will definately come back!
Great location to stay for a NFL or NHL game,. Very welcoming and knowledgable staff. I will stay again.
Good location near highway, big twin queen room. Nice breakfast buffet with fruit.
I appreciated the attention from the staff. There were a couple issues that may have become uncomfortable if not handled correctly. But they've obviously been developed into a quality culture judging by the way they approach and handle situations. I did not like the payment issues that kicked off my stay. It's easy to believe the issue could have been with my financial provider rather than the hotel. But nonetheless, My wife was charged an additional $200 and yet have seen that refunded. I may be wrong, but I believe that's somethjng Hampton Inn should and couple take steps to correct. I'm trusting this issue will be resolved in the next couple days before any further action is taken.
Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast with some cut up fruit, and hot foods. Good start to our day.
Front counter staff was excellent. Breakfast area was pretty small.
It was wonderful to return to our room at the end of the day and settle in to such comfortable beds with lots of pillows. The towels were the softest towels I've ever used in a hotel, for some reason. We had three breakfasts there and the hotel varied the main courses each time, though we didn't expect this. Even though the dining room was busy, people got through the line quickly, even if they were making waffles (which were delicious). There was a lot to choose from. I just wish that somebody had known for sure how to walk to the mall. Nobody agreed, and so we got lost. This is not a bad reflection on the hotel. We loved our choice of hotel & I will look for Hampton Inns in my travels; in fact, have stayed in another one before this.
