Bank Hotel - Stockholm - Stairs
1
9.4 Excellent (564 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Bank Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Stockholm, steps from Berzelii Park and within a 5-minute walk of King's Garden. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Bank Hotel provided us with an experience which was in every way superb. From the extremely charming and super-efficient welcome from receptionist Anton, to the excellent breakfast in an uber-glamorous dining room, the experience was faultless. We loved the facilities the hotel provided, including a very stylish cocktail bar on the roof, and we were absolutely in love with the design, comfort and location of the room. The bathroom, with its huge bath, gold taps and underfloor heating was a particular highlight. However, best of all things at this hotel were the staff. I have already mentioned the absolute professionalism and charm of Anton, but his colleagues were also wonderful in every way, helping us with practical tips, and offering to hold our luggage a few days after our departure when we had a few hours to spare after our return from the archipelago. They ensured we had an amazing view from our room because it was my birthday, and also provided balloons and gifts to celebrate the event. I have never been treated so well before in a hotel and can honestly say that they made my birthday experience the best ever.
Cons: Nothing, this hotel is faultless.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in Stockholm (but street was closed for works during our stay). Nice historical hotel. Exceptional rooftop with view on Stockholm
Cons: Very poor breakfast for this category of hotels. No spa nor swimming pool
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is magnificent and the architecture has an interesting history. The dining room is equally beautiful and it is worth to spend some time there. The doorman and the people at check-in make you welcome. Rooms are spacious, the bathroom is modern and we like the luxury of the bathroom. Location of the hotel is perfect. Too bad that there are so many pitfalls in the service with the staff whether with the valet parking, the cleaning or the service at the restaurant. Would be worth a 10 if not for all this.
Cons: Do not even consider using the valet parking service. Pricey and extremely long (over 45 mn) to get your car at the door. Toiletries and hand towel not replaced. Erratic wifi connection in the rooms. Service way too long in the restaurant area for breakfast a la carte. Isolation of the rooms not perfect when it comes to the noise in the street. The experience might have been otherwise the best.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect to explore Stockholm. Could not be better. Beautifully decorated hotel. Great shower, room, etc... Staff was super helpful.
Cons: Bathroom smelled like there was a plumbing issue.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of hotel is great, most of the needs can be fulfilled within walking distance. The suite was spacious and nicely decorated.
Cons: I think there has been a misunderstanding at the time of booking. I searched hotels with requirements for 2 adults and one 10 year old child. The search result showed us this suite was available for booking, which I would assume1 child can stay with us for free if he's not occupying additional space in this suite. And that's why I chose a much more expensive and spacious suite instead of 2 standard rooms. By the time we arrived, I was shocked that we were being asked to pay for additional rolled away bed because my child counted as a 3rd adult in the room. It's kind of ridiculous to look at this rolled-away bed being set up next to a gigantic leather sofa, which my 10 year-old can comfortably settled himself in. Also, the breakfast selections were not up to the standard of this 5 star hotel, and the fusion-style dishes were quite disappointing. The construction outside the hotel was inconvenient and dirty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bell boys very polite and friendly. Nice roof bar. Brand new carpet in rooms. Well decorated.
Cons: No sea view. Terrible noise from road works in front of the hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location for city tour on foot
Cons: Small room, not good value for money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Service Clean
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant helpful staff; clean smart room; excellent central location; lots of umbrellas for the quite common dull inclement weather; elegant breakfast room with excellent (for a small hotel) selection and standard of food
Cons: As is not unusual in Europe, the room was a tight 25m2. Great style but impossible to have 2 suitcases open in our attempt to repack after 2 weeks away. And at $500/n the tight space and intrusive sound of staff chatting outside in the corridor were disappointing. I’m at a loss to see where the site rating of 9.4 came from unless Stockholm generally has a lower comparative hotel standard than comparable cities. A pleasant but in no way”unforgettable” stay

Grand Hôtel Stockholm - Stockholm - Bedroom
3
9.1 Excellent (3,282 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The historic Grand Hotel is one of Stockholm's grand dames, built in 1874, and complete with gilded accents and a high-profile clientele. A glamorous ambiance paired with a prime location, stately rooms, and a Michelin-starred restaurant attracts mostly couple and high-heeled business travelers and tourists. Grand Hotel Stockholm is located in Norrmalm, the heart of Stockholm, and situated right on the water. Norrmalm boasts Sweden's largest shopping area, complete with an underground mall. Norrmalm is located next to Ostermalm, where Sweden's rich and famous live, and is also a large business center. Leisure tourists enjoy being within multiple tourist attractions, like the National Museum of Art and Skansen. There are also plenty of museums and sites within a short walking distance from the hotel. One on-site restaurant, Mathias Dahlgren, with one Michelin star is already legendary, but the other on-site venues are nonetheless amazing. The Veranda restaurant is perfect for celebrating all types of occasions offering classic Swedish traditions. The Cadier Bar is a favorite of Champagne-loving locals and guests’ searching for the perfect cocktail, the Terrace offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and the Grand Café offers light fare. There is also a stellar wine cellar. In addition to many dining options, the hotel offers several spa treatments and a fitness club. There are multiple accommodation options when staying at the Grand Hotel. Single rooms are perfect for one person or a business trip with just enough room to sleep and leave, Superior Rooms contain comfortable amenities and bed, as well as a modern workplace, and Deluxe Rooms offer a king-sized bed or lounge with a little more space. Suites range from Junior Suite to suites with Parlors. All rooms contain luxurious amenities and convenient necessities.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, with professional and helpful staff.
Cons: Long waits to check-in and get settled.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Amazing spa. Decent location.
Cons: NOT AS ADVERTIZED. Beware. The amenities listed did not happen and this may be a language issue. Still very disappointing to think there will be welcome drink and treats when that is untrue. Breakfast menu was never picked up at door so I took it down, got wrong order anyway. Frustrating experience. Really sweet staff but language barriers. Also not very clean public areas, kinda gross for that much money.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast in all aspects...... Location is the very best when you want to explore by just walking out into town, old town etc.
Cons: You could have more staff available at the reception, so that guests don't have to wait unnecessary extra minutes. Superb hotel, the check in and check out needs to be more smooth and faster.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fact that the hotel is in the city center ( Qamla stan) also facing the royal palace. Not to mention very close to the shopping area.

With a stay at Hotel With Urban Deli, you'll be centrally located in Stockholm, within a 10-minute walk of Stureplan and Gallerian. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Deli, food, roof tarace.
Cons: Air in the rooms.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great format, no need to seek food in the city, its right here. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed, pillows. Everything a human being needs, of a good quality.
Cons: Takpark is a sort of disappointment, its just my impression.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really nice and interesting decor of the hotel and rooms. A nice atmosphere at the bar/restaurant (seems to be popular with the locals). Loved the breakfast!
Cons: Room didn’t have a phone or safe to store valuables. Storage was limited to a few hangers and shelves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All facilities great. Particularly like the buffet breakfast. Magnificent!
Cons: All good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very modern and funky. Great location - very central. The bedrooms are in the basement so very quiet. You can walk here from Central Station and there are all facilities within reach.
Cons: Nothing apart from the fact that you have to pay everything by card. The hotel and deli do not accept cash at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great design of the room - touch floor lighting, TV you can play netflix on, total blackout, comfy beds, sunken bath, rituals products. Good location with restaurants and bars nearby - the Urban Deli is a cool thing to have on sight, the roof terrace is also beautiful. Breakfast selection was incredible, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Overall excellent value for money given the other properties in the area.
Cons: It's just slightly odd that all the rooms are in the basement floor so there's no windows/natural light - but this is also a selling point as the black-out ensures a perfect nights sleep
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire stay was great. The location could not have been better and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and open at convenient hours. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Cons: The wifi was not the best.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had really good knight sleep . Great beds and the room was soundproof. Good location.
Cons: The shower floor drain were blocked. Whole bathroom was flooded when we take shower. We told the reception but nothing happened. We wipe up the floor with towels. Towels weren´t changed. Cleaner just lift them up to dry. Breakfast were fully at 9.45 and evetrything were ending.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, room was clean and quiet. We liked the atmosphere, Fotografiska poster in our room and Iittala decorations. Bathtub was nice next to shower!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast with big selection of cereal, juices, break, eggs, coffee, tea etc. The location is nearby to subway and bus stop and also to airport express. The testaurant and the rooftop bar are awesome and the fact that you can take food bought at the attached Urban Deli to the rooftop bar is a good deal!
Cons: The description of our booked room was not accurate (sofa and desk were missing), but the way the hotel and booking.com customer service handled "the problem" was very good. Hence I 100% recommend the hotel (and also booking.com).
9.7 Excellent
Pros: All the rooms are below ground so no outside light. It was a little strange but the rooms were very quiet. I actually like it.

Pros: Location, staff, delightful breakfasts
Cons: Small room was really small, it’s not disadvantage, just notice. Despite the small room the bathroom was quite roomy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location. Very good breakfast included. Staff very helpful indeed
Cons: I knew the room would be small but was disappointed that the size was made even smaller by the low sloping roof. Wardrobe and drawer space was minimal and several shelves wasted by mini bar and related products. Hinge on bathroom window was broken so it could not be safely opened.

Cons: Cleaning trolley left out after use .....and all night apparently........a bit unsightly

Cons: The room we booked was too small and it would have been confining. Kiki showed us other rooms that were available and Sofia was able to upgrade our room at an additional cost. We enjoyed the stay once we changed rooms. My advice is to book one of the larger rooms.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. This hotel has 8 meeting rooms available for events.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, close to many of the major attractions. Our room 205 was nice and quiet, was well furnished and comfortable. The room lighting was great. Breakfast was satisfactory with a good range of items available.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. One short block to the Metro. On the quiet side of the Old Town, yet only 2 short blocks to the heart of Gamla Stan shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and Royal Palace. All major sightseeing, ferries, trams, and the Central Station are within 20 minute walk. The hotel is full of collector and antique items, mainly with a maritime theme, it's almost like a museum, but is clean and well-lit. Our room on the third floor is spacious and bright, with a large, newly remodeled bathroom (double sink, great shower, no tub). There is a mini fridge and lots of closet and shelf space. TV and CD player. Reception desk is staffed 24/7, with friendly and helpful young ladies during the day. Ice water dispenser and a candy jar at the front desk, self-service electric kettle and tea and coffee on every floor. Breakfast (included) is ample, with good choices of meats, eggs, breads, beverages, and fruit.
Cons: Noisy bar in the courtyard, but closes down promptly at 11pm. Onsite restaurant was on summer vacation so we missed the chance to dine at one of the best restaurants in the area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very kind staff. Room was very cozy. Very quiet even though I had a room above the street. Nightcap delivered every evening to my room was very special.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really unique hotel with maritime theme. Very atmospheric. Great location in the old town of stockholm. Fantastic breakfast (although don't be late as they shut it quickly!). Staff were really nice, and the glass of port in the room as a nightcap is a lovely touch!
Cons: Only criticism is that the rooms are quite small. Not a problem for me, but my parents struggled a little bit with two big suitcases in a small room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It's the perfect location in the old town, easy to get to from the central station, few steps away from all the major attractions and yet it's in a quiet side street. I could not have wished for more. The breakfast was great, staff are friendly and you get a complimentary glass of port every afternoon, just as you come back from a day of sightseeing and need a refreshment.
Cons: The bed was too soft for my comfort, and the room was quite small, but that was expected. They made great use of the space however.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The whole environment, the location, the breakfast. This was the second time I was there. I will recommend you, no doubt about it!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: This is the most charming hotel I've ever stayed in. Great location, charming and unique decoration, and the staff went far above and beyond expectation.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious suite Rooftop bar Quirky decor Comfortable bed
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it had a/c. We remembered that the summer of 2018 had a heat wave in Scandinavia and so decided on a/c in case it happened again. Sure enough, there was a heat wave again this year, and we were very happy with our choice. I also thought the room, though small, was well-designed. I loved that the bathroom had 2 sinks, and I loved having robes. The nautical-themed decor was lovely and interesting in that it was the owner’s personal collection of artefacts. Also very centrally located in Gamla Stan. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, and there was free coffee and tea at all times.
Cons: Wifi was annoying in that you kept having to sign in, sometimes every 10 minutes, other times it worked for several hours, but it wouldn’t remain signed in for the duration of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was ideal for the half a week I wanted to spend in Stockholm, old school decor, wonderful restaurants and wine selections, less than 10 minutes of walking from most of Gamla Stan’s sights. The people at the desk are incredibly nice, the rooms are very clean, and the beds are impeccable.
Cons: I don’t have any complaints
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A few things:- 1. The most comfortable hotel room bed ever. 2. The most amazing breakfast 3. The Staff were friendly and very nice 4. The collection of memorabilia were great! 5. Awesome location in the old town
Cons: Nothing

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was convenient to transportation and not a long walk from major sites. Also, the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Cons: The bathroom was badly arranged. It was a disabled-accessible room, which I hadn't expected, so it was annoying for that reason, but even if I were disabled, there was no surface within reach of the shower to put shampoo, soap, etc. while I was under it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - close to old town, view from the room, very convenient to get from the airport using multiple transport options, staff very polite and ready to help

Overview Reviews
Welcome to the NOFO Hotel, BW Premier Collection®! Find yourself in a beautiful and historic building from 1780 on Södermalm in the central parts of Stockholm. The hotel is within walking distance of Old Town, Slussen and the City. Stay in a vibrant neighborhood where people of Stockholm living. Sodermalm is one of the oldest districts in Stockholm and was a long time working quarters with much feeling. For many years known as the area where we are located "Sofo", Stockholm's answer to London and New York's trendy SoHo. Amidst this vibrant neighborhood, you will find our oasis. Enter through a portal, out on a cobbled yard and you'll find us. We are housed in a listed building from the 1700s that originally built as a brewery. As the house was built at one time, with a roof and walls according to original drawings, has been completely control the hotel room disposition and layout. This allows the hotel to get a personal and original touch that along with the eclectic decor boutique reinforces the feeling. Upon arrival at the typical courtyard, which can be likened to an oasis in the middle of Sodermalm, enriched it with an inner calm. You feel far from the trendy areas, both north and south of Folkungagatan, where hipsters, taverns and street life plays out like a true "reality soap". We look forward to seeing you! Enjoy your stay.

Pros: Loved the attention to detail, decor and the best breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and made everything super easy. Great neighborhood and value for money. Would highly recommend!
Cons: The maid services could be improved. Our room wasn’t cleaned the first day and not until 5pm on the second
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, really beautiful rooms, nice eins bar and the breakfast was exceptional
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely hotel and I keep coming back here. It has a very nice atmosphere, welcoming, feels at home. This time I booked a superior double room but was upgraded for free to a executive room. Loved the room. And the breakfast is delicious... I'll be back.
Cons: The only little downside was that the room I got was situated just in front of the recycling containers on the street below, so there was a bit of noise. But really not a big deal.
7.5 Good
Cons: I am from a country where they carry your luggage. Not all the time of course but when you put it in an Uber. Anyway.

Pros: Great hotel with lots of character in the hipster neighborhood of Sodermalm. Can't recommend enough. Lovely staff, cool vibe, quiet yet right by the Medborgarpladsen and easy walking distane to Gamla Stan. Quaint and full of character. We had a room with a gorgeous view over the old cemetery. Breakfast was lovely. Will definitely be back ❤
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing! Yogurt, cereal, hams, cheeses, breads, croissants, homemade blueberry jam, carrot cake, scrambled eggs made with cream, plus much more. The bed was really comfy We arrived during a heatwave and while the room was hot they had left a fan for us.
Cons: The bath has a shower over it and while it looks great water kinda goes everywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 3 nights in Stockholm and decided to stay in Sodermalm as it is a younger area of town. The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient to the nearest subway station, maybe a 3 minute walk. From the subway you are one stop away from the Slussen station, which can connect you just about anywhere. Around the hotel there is ample shopping, eating, and drinking. We found numerous restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk that were wonderful. The hotel itself was nicely appointed. Even though it was undergoing renovations you could hardly tell. Our room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a very impressive spread, with just about everything you could want. Truly a great experience, we would definitely stay here again when we are in Stockholm.
7.0 Good
Pros: lively area, central location, distance to subway, very good breakfast, stylish rooms, high quality fittings and beautiful furnishings, shower with glass walls, sound proofing, majority of employees very attentive and friendly, nice vibe and relaxing courtyard, fatboy hammock
Cons: for one of the two rooms we booked we choose two single beds & we requested the rooms to be next to each other; the hotel did manage to give us adjacent rooms but was not able to provide single beds in one room as requested; the next morning a different room was offered, but on another floor in a different part of the hotel, which we declined; rooms were south-facing and as it was quite sunny during the day, the rooms became quite hot; we booked two different room types, the smaller one was very cramped and really a bit to small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Wonderfull breakfast
Cons: Small room. The pillow hard and high
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful hotel with a wonderful morning breakfast. The staff is great, the rooms are nicely designed, and the courtyard is great. The morning breakfast is the best breakfast I have had in all my European travels. The location is great in a relative sense. It is hip and interesting and near great shops. However, if you really plan to visit the museums and the old town primarily, this hotel isn't ideal for you.
Cons: The room I stayed in was small. That is to be expected in Europe but it still felt a bit cramped. The shower was so small that I got water all over the floor each time I showered.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast! Location is very convenient – not far from city center and not far from train station. Quiet room and convenient bed. Helpful staff.
Cons: A bit small table in the room. A bit late check-in (15-00).
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Incredible rude stuff. The lady at the reception told me she cannot fulfill my request placed one day in advance and I insisted that in this circumstances I should have been informed prior to my arrival that my request cannot be fulfilled, because I have mentioned when I placed it that it is very important for me. Then the amazing part came when she told me that in general the lack of an answer leads to the assumption that the request cannot be fulfilled and if I really wanted an answer I should have insisted to get one!!?? While I was trying to explain her that this is not a fair attitude toward customers, she simply concluded that If I’m not happy with what I got I’m free to leave!!! Unbelievable
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the most unusual and wonderful hotels I have stayed in. The staff are fabulous. They are professional, friendly and efficient. The room was surprisingly large and had so many excellent features. I liked the padded window seat. The bathroom was large and had a huge shower. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The room design had that 'outdoor' natural feel. The public areas of the hotel were fantastic. The design is quite unique. Breakfast was amazing with o many choices. The breads were particularly delicious and making my own fresh waffle was perfect. The luggage storage system was efficient and secure. Everything is easy to walk to from the hotel, especially the long pedestrian shopping street at the back of the hotel. I would certainly stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the non traditional design and the opportunity for so many different activities in the public spaces.
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, lovely interiors and comfortable rooms
Cons: Limited food in evenings. Not particularly child friendly as many of the extras have an age limit of 16
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great environment and very helpful staff
Cons: I would like to be able to open a window in the bedroom- I found it a bit stuffy .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: New hotel with modern feel and amenities. In the middle of the city and very accessible to shops and sights. Views on the roof are great. Breakfast was also good.
Cons: Couldn't figure out the lights (probably my fault). Spa and sauna was for charge. Most other hotels this is free.
6.3 Good
Pros: The lobby and location.
Cons: Very small, dark, outdated rooms. Some of the staff were rude, limited in understanding and could not solve minor aspects like providing slippers (which was solved instantly by the room cleaning personnel). The restaurant had very limited, unhealthy options that lacked vegetarian friendly dishes. Needed to insist a lot to have the staff put together a salad without meat.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, nice interior, well designed rooms.
Cons: Not as child friendly as it thinks. Many of the ‘extras’ it prides itself on are for over16s only. Limited menu in evenings.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotel experiences so far. The atmosphere is just fantastic! Will definitely be back once in Stockholm.
Cons: It was a bit dark in the room, but really just a minor complaint, as everything else was perfect.

Pros: Room was great and breakfast superb
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazingly helpful. Best staff we have seen in Sweden for many many years.
Cons: Our room was much smaller than advertised or described. Beds were comfortable and nice pillows. However, our sleep room was smaller than our restroom. Great hotel but false advertisement on room size. We asked the desk about this problem. They agreed the room was tiny but they said the hotel was very full this weekend :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional hotel! Beautiful decoration, the design of the suites is stunning. High quality is the main word to share our experience in this beautiful castle. The breakfast was delicious, tasty and well presented. We enjoyed absolutely everything! Very friendly staff too.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Breakfast and Summer Buffet! Accommodation, old stylish/traditional Hotel, quite unique and different from any other hotel in this price segment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely property out in the countryside. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself has a unique charm about it. While I didn't avail of it, it appears to be family friendly as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Although we arrived late and the restaurant was closed, they fixed us a dinner and in the morning made us a coffee although we had to leave before breakfast time. The room was really warm in a frosty night of minus temperatures. The receptionist was extremely helpful with everything!
Cons: I can't think of anything at the moment
7.0 Good
Pros: beatiful hotel
Cons: they were not prepare about the intolerance on the food
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts, location, faded elegance, staff. Beautiful, peaceful location.
Cons: Coffee
7.5 Good
Pros: The restaurant has really good but exspencive.
Cons: We had booked a room for 2 nights, the son of my girlfriend was going to run a marathon in Stockholm. He became sick so we needed to leave a day earlier and stayed for just one night. We explained to the woman from the reception she said that she would talk with the boss about the payment and would let us now by mail. We never have recieved a mail and they took payment for two nights and breakfast while we just have stayed for one night. It feels like being cheated and i had expected something else. They shoot be ashamed to treat custemers like that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel and staff.
Cons: At this level having a non working TV with just 2 working channels it’s not acceptable Also should have a mini bar in the room.
Hotel M/s Monika - Stockholm - Bedroom

9.0 Excellent (383 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel M/S Monika, you'll be centrally located in Stockholm, within a 5-minute drive of Stockholm City Hall and Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
7.5 Good
Pros: Well situated, breakfast ok.
Cons: We had on 2 of 3 days a smell of feces inside the cabin, which did not originated in our cabin. It lasted for a few minutes each time and was very unpleasant. We learned on the last day that we weren’t the only ones experiencing this.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A very unique place to stay. The bunks were large and comfortable. Breakfast was very satisfying and plentiful. Good communication on check in.
Cons: No big dislikes, but the location is not the most convenient to major attractions. Metro stops are over 500m away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is really convenient, just 1 minute walk from the bus which goes right to the city center and other attractions. It was unusual to stay on the boat. However, we had everything we needed including simple but always fresh breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful, it was easy to communicate with the nice (and handsome) guy Dawid- special thanks to him! We felt calm, safe and relaxed at Monika.
Cons: Although there was everyday cleaning, I wish it was cleaner in the room - there’s was a bit dusty.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our stay in this hotel was short, but we liked it very much. We had a quadriple room (2 bunkbeds), which was relatively big (we knew that we would stay on the boat so we were prepared for something really small) and had its own bathroom. The room and the bathroom were both very clean. The beds were comfy. There was only a small window on the ceiling (which we managed to open during the night for the ventilation) but the room had enough light and didn't feel dark or dull. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our breakfast was also good. Not a huge variety, but enough and satisfying. We did enjoy our stay.
Cons: The weather was windy and chilly. We had huge plans on using the top deck (the hotel provides vine glasses and deck chairs for the guests), but we never got a chance. So our plan is to come back one day and give it another try.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you like different things, you will love it
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was nice and super accommodating. Dawid asks what time you want breakfast and then prepares it fresh in the mornings! I was staying with some friends while on a college study abroad, and the quadruple room was big enough for a group that intends to explore the city all day, then jump into bed at night. I was worried about staying on a boat, but it ended up being a unique and fun experience!
Cons: The walk down to the water/boat from the upper area of the city (from crossing the bridge) seemed a little sketchy, so just be aware. Be prepared to share the common room with other guests:)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful stuff, very comfortable beds, warm in the winter, tasty breakfast, the overall experience of sleeping inside a boat.
Cons: Might be a bit difficult for older or injured people to get to the metro station when the streets are slippery.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The extra touches in the room and the breakfast provided were good. Check in is very easy and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s easy to walk to the attractions. View of the river is also marvellous

Cons: Unfortunately We went during peak of Summers ( End July) and temperature was close to 28 or even 30 Degree Celsius and room used to get extremely stuffy & Hot even after opening window! And they dont have any Air conditioning for hot season as most of the properties in Scandinavia!

Pros: This hotel was in a great location, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. The rooms were very stylish and perfectly clean. We arrived very late our first night, and we just missed the closing of their kitchen. Luckily, they have 24 hour room service, and they even comped us our meal, which was really generous. They also sent my postcards for me for free when we were checking out. And breakfast buffet is top notch! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Overview Reviews
One of Stockholm’s most treasured Art Nouveau buildings is reborn. In its most recent incarnation, the former Ateneum girl’s school has been transformed into the Miss Clara, a first class property from Sweden’s dynamic Nobis Group. Built in 1910, the building has been lovingly restored under the direction of Gert Wingårdh of architecture firm Wingårdhs with a palpable sense of heritage at its core. All 92 rooms follow the Swedish architect’s unique concept of an outward-facing property, where the windows facing Sveavägen boulevard are treated as ‘center stage’. Here guests can expect a chic intermingling of marble bathrooms, retractable workspaces and contemporary riffs on the property’s Art Nouveau history via furniture pieces and installations. At street-level, a vibrant restaurant and bar thrive on the urban buzz of the evolving Stockholm district, welcoming guests and savvy-locals alike.

The bathroom and shower are spacious and the bath products are actually great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extremely good. Very fresh! The restaurant and cocktail bar in the hotel are also amazing. Highly recommend a stay at Miss Clara
Cons: The gym is kind of small, but for a quick work out it gets the job done. I couldn't find the terrace, but apparently one exists.

Pros: Easy connection to Stockholm via Metro Station Solna Strand and easy connection to Bromma airport by bus line 152. Very good breakfast and they were so kind to leave our luggage in the hotel storage during the week that we went hiking in the North after our stay in Stockholm.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was so good. I liked the fresh orange juice. The staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: The room was too small. There is no fridge. The shower has no door. I didn't like the pilows.

Pros: I like the place where it is situated a little far from the city. It is where we had relaxed when we were tired from strolling around and most especially it is very quiet environment.
Cons: I didn’t like the pillows. It was too big and I was not using the other one. My partner had a stiff neck after our first night in the hotel room. The bed was really comfortable.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Waffles at breakfast were delicious. Bed was really great and slept fantastically, the room was relatively spacious, had a great Chromecast connection for Netflixing and was very clean. Location very well accessible by airport bus and metro to the city centre.
Cons: Coffee in the rooms and at breakfast was not very good. Walls a bit too thin (heard our neighbour having a very good time in the middle of the night). Location very much in business area, so not much to do.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good as well. There were plenty of options like pancakes, bread, scrambled eggs and yoghurt. The room was also a really good size.
Cons: There were no towels in my room when I arrived, but the staff in reception sorted it out fairly fast when I called them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was very comfortable and the international breakfast was amazing. there was a game's room for the children with some videogames and some air castle into the hotel where my children passed the morning playing with other foreign children. the fast checkout was a fantastic idea. You can leave your key in a box without any queue. The hotel is near to a very big shopping centre and to the train station. Perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, situated right next to the new Mall of Scandinavia, Friends Arena, and the train station - with it only taking 8 mins to get into Stockholm Central. Fantastic breakfast, with an amazing selection, even for my family and I as we are vegan. Comfortable family room which was large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers
Cons: It’s a very large hotel, and very busy, but it has a self check-in/check-out station which is absolutely fantastic as we didn’t have to wait for all the tour groups to be checked in. And get to breakfast early to avoid the crowds
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Great room design, everything you need and nice and quiet. - Easy check-in and you can also check-in via automatic machines that dispense your room key. - Personnel happy to assist you with anything and provide service where they can. - A big hotel, so a lot of groups check-in. - Easy to reach Stockholm central, but you need to take a train and walk through the big Scandinavian Mall, so this hotel is convenient if you are a group of people, and if you like big malls and the stadium is literally at your doorstep. - Great hotel to hold a conference, although you have to pay extra for coffee and tea facilities. - Would stay again if I need to have a conference, or workshop. - Beautiful lake for watching birds and relaxing is only a few minutes walk away.
Cons: The breakfast although big, was like a canteen and it caters to a lot of people. This means that you have your standards and lots of variety of eggs, but as a Vegan the choice was quite limited. There was an extra section for people with dietary needs (lactose intolerant, dairy free etc), but this was only cereals, marmalade and dairy free milk.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast & Soundproof window
Cons: Just 1 tiny thing - no onetime use flip flops
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We all liked the delicious breakfast and the room quality (comfortable beds and nice view from the window). Good location!
Cons: I stayed in various occasions at Friends, which is why I went again, this time with my parents. I did not like: 1. During our stay and while my parents were resting, our room door was opened 3 times by people the looked like construction workers, they knocked once and swiftly decided to just go ahead and open the door. 2. Sadly i have to say that the reception staff quality has decreased, they seemed to be busy even though there was not a queue at the time i checked in and out. I asked for umbrellas due to the rainy weather, staff mentioned in a rude way the fact that I had to bring the hotel umbrellas back because they were pricey items. Even though I left my luggage with them and I had to obviously come back their way.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Im empressed by breakfast buffe' very much to choose from. Close to big shopping mall and subway to town.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Buffee aamupalaa
Cons: No conditioner in the bathroom, needs more healthy snack options i.e fruit, veggies.
