We are located approximately one hour from the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose and 30 minutes from Jaco Beach. The accommodation offers the perfect combination of secluded natural beauty and contemporary domestic comforts. There is comfortable lodging for up to 4 people offering breathtaking views as you enjoy your breakfast on the patio or take a dip in the private pool. Get close to nature with the many adventures Costa Rica has to offer. Glide over the canopy of the rainforest on your zip-line tour, golf, horseback riding, ATV tours or play in the water as you kayak, snorkel or experience the excellent surfing and beautiful waterfalls. You name it; it’s here for your taking.

Pros: A fantastic place with a superb view, lovely rooms and a royal breakfast and very friendly people. All activities in the neighbourhood could be reserved for us. Also they had great tips for lunch and diner.

Pros: The breakfasts were delicious, with eggs cooked to order. Breakfast is served on a porch with a spectacular view of the national park, the Tarcoles River, and the ocean. The pool is lovely. The location is perfect for someone whose primary interest is the national park and the river rather than the tourist scene at Jaco (though Jaco is easy to get to from the property). The room is excellent value for money.

Pros: We arrived super late and were greeted at the door in an instant. The little house by the pool is in a beautiful garden with the pool in front. Bats played outside in the palmtrees and wonderful birds in the morning. The view while having breakfast is breathtaking (after a few steep stairs). We even got really really good vegan breakfast with fresh fruit. Everything was clean and nice.

Pros: Rancho Capulin B&B offers 2 logdes near the pool as well as some rooms in the main building. We were a famly of 5 and booked both lodges, created the feeling of having your private swimming pool. Around the pool there are a variety of deck chairs placed in a beatiful garden. Both lodges have a covered terrace with chairs. The bigger lodge has even a bar. Regularly macaws from the neighbouring Carara NP fly over the garden. The breakfast is served in the main building from a terrace which offers a magnificant view over the NP and the river.
Cons: Nothing, the location exceeded our expectations in all aspects.

Pros: House is 1 hour away from San Jose. If you are planning to stay in San Jose, reconsider and just come here. It’s beautiful, secure, relaxing...really no need to stay in San Jose at all. Rent a car and come directly here from the airport or stay here on your way back.

Pros: The pool was lovely and warm, the loungers and bar area for our bungalow were very comfy. The breakfast and views from the deck with incredible. Claudine was the perfect host, letting us check in when we arrived early and ensured we had everything we needed, including providing a saucepan so we could cook.
Cons: We love being immersed in nature, but it was a little noisy for a solid nights sleep. That said, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again and it was no fault of Claudine!

Pros: We were warmly welcomed by Claudine. She gave us many tips about activities in the area. We had our own little cottage next to the swimming pool. The breakfast was good; when we asked for eggs it was no problem. On our last day we could leave our luggage to pick it up later.

Pros: Very kind and helpful hostesses at the reception, thank you so much to both of you for your help and constant smiles! Breakfast good but we had to request for butter and jam which had not been taken out of the fridge. Nice garden including a lookout with see views and lots af birds.
Cons: Dark room with no wifi and no view on the garden. Pool not so clean. Dinner with no real choice and no written menu, not very good but ok. Big complex with at least 30 rooms, off season like we did it was ok for us with only 4 rooms booked but you should know it if you prefer cosy small hotels ;) Monkeys and aras are fed next to the restaurant and pool for them to stay in the area, we really did not appreciate this. Everywhere in Costa Rica you can see wildlife, you just need to be a little patient and observing... feeding wild animals is just slowly destroying nature and this beautiful country.

Cons: Advertized wifi but it was a very weak and did not work in our room. We had to sit in outside to use it but even at that it was very weak. Bathroom had an open uncovered window that let mosquitos into the room. Bath sink was very small and not level enough to place shaving cream without it falling off. Cash only was not clearly shown in the booking.com website. It is there but near the bottom. We did not have cash. Extra tax was not shown in final price quoted by booking.com.

Pros: Very friendly staff and BEAUTIFUL grounds and surrounding rainforest. So much biodiversity right on site. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. I would have liked to spend more time there and would absolutely return.
Cons: There are a lot of kids and families, so it can get a bit noisy and hectic in the immediate vacinity of the pool and restaurant. It would be nice if the restaurant extended its our a bit.

Cons: The music amplification system by the pool on weekends is really loud, so if you don't want to hear it, ask for a room pretty far away. I like a room near the pool and office as I can get wifi at the room, so had to endure the music.

Cons: Food was tasteless specially breakfast and lunch, poor quality. The music of the pool was too loud. Pool bar was dirty and full of flies. The hotel doesnt have access to Playa Blanca, so you have to go by a dangerous way next to the sea, I saw two people fall down and hurt his head on rocks. When is high tide you cant come back by the same way neither by Punta Leona s main street cause is a private property. I wouldnt recommend this hotel cause it doesnt have access to Playa Blanca which is the prettiest beach and the quality of food is disappointing,
