Pros: Breakfast was excellent good source of local produce
Cons: The room was very cold on checkin when we enquired at 3pm nothing was done weended up sitting in the bar to get warm Later we spoke to the owner who told us heating came on at 4pm. It then took a while for the room to warm up but it was lovely and warm during the night
Pros: Food was ok
Cons: A long wait for our breakfast and while we were waiting the cleaning staff were working in the vacinity - rather off putting. a very long climb up steep stairs to our room luckily we are fairly fit but others would have a problem - concerned that at the top of the hotel were we were staying there was very little in the way of alternative fire escapes other than the flight of stairs to the lower levels and on that note felt uncomfortable to sleep well during the night.
Pros: Good meals available in evening, and great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff to welcome, book in and evening dining. Ensuite room comfortable. Parking was available on site.
Cons: Place a bit of a rabbit warren with steep, narrow stairs to carry luggage up. Breakfast staff not friendly and service slow. Traffic noisy in street below till about bedtime, so not too much of an issue. Internet access rather limited.
Pros: Staff very helpful and teh food was excellent.
Cons: Would have liked another chair in the room.
Pros: I liked that the room felt similar to other more business-oriented hotels, but had the comfort of a country pub and very good valeu for money. The breakfast was also excellent!
Cons: The steep/narrow stairs might be an issue for some people.
Pros: Friendliness of all concerned with the hotel, added to the efficiency of service
Pros: The hotel room was ver nicely done and set out and was very comfortable and welcoming. A superb breakfast served and very nice staff all round.
Cons: The hotel was going thorugh renovation and did have bare wires and skirting board lying around and also the air was very dusty in the actually bar and resturant
Pros: so good i stayed 2 extra nites (breakfast excellent)
Pros: Hot food served on hot plates! Helpful, friendly, and sociable staff in family run operation.
Pros: friendly staff
