Comfort was key. My husband jokingly asked if he could take the pillows. The food was great. Quiet. Friendly staff. There wasn't really a place to walk our dog.
We were satisfied with our stay. We don't travel much. Not road warriors - thankfully. The room was clean. This is why we chose Drury - the "clean" reviews. Paid a little bit more for "clean." We were only there one night. The breakfast was really good. The little coffee pot in the room was gross. Things floating in the reservoir when I poured the water in. Couldn't drink. In the lobby, as I said, the breakfast was good but the coffee was not. Yuk. Dumped in the trash. They should have good coffee early in the morning. This wasn't like 2 in the afternoon when no one is drinking coffee. The wifi was spotty. Not a big deal but should have strong wifi if advertised. We were on the sixth floor.
We were looking for an inexpensive motel to spend the night during our long-distance driving trip. This place fit the bill. It was clean, quiet, the staff was friendly, and it was near the highway.
Pet friendly! Awesome staff!
Straight forward with adding cost on amenities not needed Clean, comfortable and cost effective
Location was easy, price was ok Checking in at night was not welcoming - the entrance was not well- marked and was locked; the desk clerk seemed annoyed that we were not certain we were in the correct location. Breakfast offered few options.
Staff was incredibly friendly, sociable, and helpful. Lodging was clean and fresh. Location was easily accessible to nearby attractions despite highway construction. I've never before stayed in a hotel, particularly one this nice and at such a high price point, that only came with a full bed in a room. It was a bit of a surprise upon to check-in to see such a small bed in such an otherwise nice room. I wasn't sure if this was due to the hotel being generally booked or if that was standard accommodations for this location. I apparently ended up in a handicap accessible room, which I think is great hotels have those available; but me not being handicapped and six feet tall makes a handicapped shower beyond awkward to be bent over the entire time to fit under the 5ft tall spigot. No major complaints and otherwise everything about my stay was satisfactory.
Lounge drinks, fruit etc. friendly staff Construction!!
Very little One staff member for entire 12 hour shift. She was front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, everything. One of the elevators was not operating, the other must have barely passed inspection. Not enough towels in room, what was there were ragged.
The staff was accommodating for our early arrival. Rooms were clean and priced reasonably.
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The breakfast had hot and cold options. Great value! The A/C was a little loud and the pool was not open yet (May30/31)
Upon a rival they had gotten our reservation incorrect. When we gave the staff a chance to make it right they were apologetic, and gave us a much nicer room with no extra charge. The facility itself was very upscale... for Terre Haute standards anyway. They let the college kids park their cars in their lot when they go out to the bars. Despite several signs they do not tow non guests. My wife and I went out to a wedding and came back around midnight completely exhausted. But the lot had filled up, the Hilton lot across the way had filled up, and we had to park a block and a half away in a parking garage. I cold only imagine making that trek with Children in tow! They paid for the garage, but that's not the point. After a hefty price tag you had better pack comfortable shoes, because the red carpet is anything but rolled out!
Nothing The place should be shut down
The wifi and heater worked. Stained towels and bedspread. Tired looking. Breakfast was pitiful!
It was quiet, because there are about 20 hotels on the same city block, so it wasn't crowded My room smelled like cigarettes
The picture they have online are from about 20 yrs ago it's dirty and gross my wife refused to use the shower cause it was so unclean
Dirty hallways and stairwells, some of the lights in the room didn't work, back door was broken, TV reception was fuzzy, drinking party in the back parking lot beneath our window from 12:30 am - 4:30 am, empty condom wrapper in the elevator as we rode down to check out the next morning. Hotel/Priceline gave us a full refund.
Check-in staff was friendly and gave us a room upgrade. There was feces on the floor of the bathroom. Need I say more? I will... We switched rooms, but the bathrooms were still generally not clean. The bedding was stained. The whole building smelled of cigarette smoke. The area seemed a bit dicey.
Read some of the reviews before booking and wasn't completely sure if I should stay here. But, for what it is, it's totally cool. It's a cheap, clean, safe roof for a night. Anyone expecting some glamorous stay should align their expectations. I could hear the guest next doors tv late night, but it didn't impact my stay at all.
You get what you pay for. In that respect this hotel was fine. Don't bother with breakfast though. Starbucks down the street .
Location and price Room smelled moldy, appearance old, but met our needs just find.
Ease of check in Air conditioner leaked
Great price for intended use. Staff was very nice.
Easy to find and check in. Could hear the neighbors TV. Pillows were tiny.
Booking was fast & easy. Paid $77 for a 2-queen bed room. Knowing how poor the quality would be, we wouldn't have paid $10. Beds were in dire need of being replaced, alerts had black specks all over them. Carpet was torn where it met the bathroom flooring. Not including the small shower, bathroom had just enough room to close the door, without hitting your toes while sitting on toilet. Surfaces in room needed a good cleaning. We joked that this must be a Hotel that is normally paid by the hour by prostitutes who don't care what the comfort & cleanliness is. The ONLY reason we didn't immediately check out & find a better room, was because we had been driving for 14 hours, and desperately needed sleep.
Stained comforters, dirty bathrooms, found hair ball in one towel.
Price, location, hot breakfast. Beds were saggy.
Bed was clean. I was able to make myself lay down 3 hours before I had to leave. Very sketchy hotel and surroundings. Cops drove by with sirens 2x in the3 hours we stayed. Dirty room- cobwebs in all corners, sticky bathroom floor, nasty shower.
easy to get to right off highway bed okay but not great
Great price Bed was springy
It looked like the sheets on the bed hadn't been changed. There were crumbs and hair in one of the beds.
Comfortable bed. Evening employees and maintenance kind, prompt and receptive to needs. Nice breakfast. Clogged toilet and in need of updates/repairs. Carpet very stained/dirty.
Very clean. Easy access. Right off of Interstate.
The convenience of parking, quick check in, the very clean room and bathroom and the breakfast were great. I always enjoy the consistency of service that Holiday In Express offers. This particular hotel seemed brand new, squeaky clean which is very reassu The eggs at breakfast ere somewhat watery and grainy.
Extremely nice for the price! The only reason why it didn't get all 10s from me was because the constant noise I heard all night. It wasn't loud or anything just annoying, I think it was the elevator or water running or something but it was all night. I will be back
Nicely appointed and clean rooms. Maids ignored late check-out and constantly tried to enter the room despite signage.
Posh decorations, very clean new hotel. Large hot breakfast. I've worked at 3 of the other hotels in this area in the same price range, and I can attest that this is the best hotel in the Terre Haute area.

Close to destination was kept up well. No
Staff was super friendly
Friendly staff and breakfast! The price was kinda high for my budget.

Quiet. Good location - 5 min to "downtown" Exactly what I wanted and expected. It's an older property but maintained. Would stay there again. No hand towels.
The room was as described, and nothing fancy but very good. I was just staying for a little while and needed somewhere nice to sleep and rest for a little bit. The staff was nice and friendly and the room was very clean. 15 minutes before my checkout, the staff called me to make sure I was awake and prepare to leave exactly on time. I was really tired from a long drive, and was trying to get every bit of sleep I could, so while they were being thoughtful, it stole a bit of time asleep. No big deal, though.
Nice staff Linens mattresses noise level no outlets
The walls were very thin, and you could hear the conversations of those next to you. There was no dead bolt on the doors, just a locking knob. No other chain or lock. The room numbers were on strips of tape outside the doors. The bathrooms were filthy and only included a small bar of terrible soap. No shampoo. No chairs in the room, just a small table. There were no amenities and I was worried about my car in the parking lot. Half of the hotel has extended stay guests: i.e. people living there who were loud and hanging out on their balconies, watching me as I went by, making me feel uncomfortable. Someone also pounded on our door at 3:30am for no reason.
nothing hotel had a bad odor. room bad dirty& stink.
The price was a plus. The owners were very nice people!!!
The room appeared to be clean When we arrived the manager could not locate our reservation. We waited 20 minutes for him to sort through papers. They gave us the wrong room. When I went to change rooms I was told it was because I made the reservation a week before. Very rude. Not safe
I wanted a basic hotel room that was low cost, had Cable, Internet, A/C and a shower. I got just that.
Nothing. Run, don't walk away from this horrible place. Bad part of town. Office was a cluttered mess. A step on the stairs to the upper level was being supported by several pieces of a broken brick stacked on top of each other. A fire extinguisher broken. Bed sheets stained with pee.
