Tirano is a good stop-over for the Stelvo Pass; hotel is central in Tirano, next to railway station Very noisy next to station, started at 5:30am. Room we had was basic, nothing like the elegant rooms in the internet gallery
It was the worst night in a hotel ever. We were in a room right next to the train station that was active all night. Neither of us slept at all.
The hotel had an excellent location in the main square next to the Bernina Pass train station, very good for those travellers doing the Bernina train ride. There was no food available after 8 p.m. anywhere.
We particularly liked the uniquely furnished suite and its quiet location. It was quiet, private and most comfortable. The reception staff were also very helpful to us as foreign language speakers and this was also very much appreciated.
The staff were pleasant and the restaurant (dinner) was good. Continental breakfast was fine. Very close to train station which was very convenient. Option to pay for secure parking was good. Ability to book a family room was good (double and bunk beds) but the room was in need of redecoration Mould on the bedroom and bathroom walls. Bedroom quite noisy due to water pipes from other rooms running through room walls.
Every thing was ok. None of my credit/debit cards would work; no other problems with cards during week away!
1,Morning buffet was wonderful! 2, Good location (just in front of the station) 3, Clean room and bathroom.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere. The convivial and exceptionally helpful staff, particularly teh restaurant staff who could not have done enough for us. They really went out of their way to accommodate our two young children at mealtimes.
The location was perfect! Right across from the train station! Perfect for catching an early morning train through the stunningly beautiful Bernina Pass. We had a wonderful dinner there and a great breakfast!!
The hotel is across the street from the train station, making it very convenient. The front desk does not open until 7:00 in the morning, so one cannot check out of the hotel to catch, say, a train leaving at 6:10. The floors are hardwood rather than carpeted.
I liked the location and nearness to the train station for the Bernina Express. The staff spoke only a few words of English. The waitress/waiter were invisible and it took over 30 minutes to get water when they finally realized they had a customer. Very, very poor service.
the location of the hotel is great, it is what you expect from a 3 star hotel. It is simple and gives you what you want for a good price. Nothing special no luxury The towels are thin and the bathroom is small.
Varied breakfast good for Italy! Had a room at the back of the Hotel it was a bit dingey.
warm atmosphere, gentleness and readiness to help from staff none
The hotel service was professional and everything went very smoothly. Good breakfast, ok look. The hotel is a bit old and the equipment of the cheaper rooms little old and destroyed, but of for short stay.
The hotel appears to be newly built, and the rooms and interior ot the hotel are lovely, even if the colours in some bathrooms are a bit bold. The staff are friendly and spoke good English. This was the most expensive hotel stayed at in Italy, but was not the best value for money by any means. The breakfasts are tasty, but the selection not as good as some hotels; for example, only one type of cereal is available to choose from. Evening meals are essentially a fine dining experience and correspondingly very expensive (especially for Italy) for not a lot of food, even if overall the courses were delicious.
The rooms were fantastic and the staff excellent, I would highly reccommend anyone to stay there.
