Hotel Villa Murano is located in Puerto Arista. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This secluded hotel is pretty much at the end of the universe in Puerto Arista, and that means the beach is completely deserted!! The cool part is that you can go across the lagoon and visit the turtle sanctuary and see the adorable babies being readied for their big scary journey. The first meal we had at the hotel was awful but breakfast was always okay. After that we ate at one of the many beachside cafes that have swimming pools and showers. Coffee and the fruit plate with some quesadillas was our go to in the morning. Most folks seemed to prefer to spend the day with a tall pitcher of lemonade and a quart of rum. There is a bar just a few blocks back toward town on the right hand side (Bar and Cafe) that has a very nice hamburger, otherwise it's pretty much taco stands on the street and baked fish by the water. Not that we minded.... There are very few English speakers(save the boat pilot who was deported from Minnesota) so brush up on your Spanish. Everyone is very friendly and will help you out.
Cons: The hot water tank for each room is very small. You have to waiting between showers or soap up and then rinse off.
Pros: The ocean view, comfortable bed, hot water shower, clean and the multiple pools are fun.
Cons: This is not a reflection on the restaurant as I have a restrictive diet, but had to push one meal away. That said, the pan Frances and the hamburger where most excellent.
Pros: Lovely view from the balcony. We where in the low season and had the hotel including 3 pools and a jacuzzi on the terrace for ourself. Kind staff.
Pros: The hotel has a very nice terrace with a view on the sea, which you can use around the clock. If you want you can order some drinks or have your breakfast or dinner there.
Cons: The floor in the room was probably mopped with too much soap, because the entire floor was very sticky.
Pros: it's a villa-like quiet hotel right on the beach, with at least 2 swimming pools and sunbeds provided, spacious parking. spacious, modern and clean room overlooking what seems like an empty endless beach
Cons: first, it's a bit overpriced to me. second, it's actually pretty far from the puerto arista "center" and there are no any shops, bars apart from the hotel restaurant. the town of puerta arista is also a very sleepy place - which is ofcourse no fault of the hotel - with all the beach restaurants closing at 5-6 PM and virtually no night- or even "eveninglife" whatsoever, at least during weekdays
Cons: The shower and sink water were salty. It smelled like salt and felt like it. Pool water was hot
Pros: The best option in Puerto Arista: it’s clean, has several pools, huge and empty beach, showers to wash off the sand, kids area, restaurant, good wi-fi, nice rooms with all the facilities and even jacuzzi. We’ve been there three times and everytime the hotel improves some details (which really makes me to come again). Strongly recommended.
You'll be on the beach with a stay at Hotel Arista Bugambilias in Puerto Arista. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful setting, love the pool, clean place. Great value for the money. Looks like it would be wonderful for families. And the beach is right there.
Cons: We think that the food was a little weak, especially the shrimp. The room itself was a little tight.
