The greeting on arrival was very welcoming and genuine. The food and service was superb. Stunning art deco hotel.
good hotel,romantic atmosphere
We had a beautiful junior suite. The breakfast is excellent and so is the food and service in the restaurant.
Only stayed one night but was very comfortable and river views were lovely. Staff helpful would stay here again. Appartment very spacious. Not quite sure our dog was welcome seemed to be a lot of restrictions. Was not able to book a table to eat at hotel which was a shame.
The service very hospitable
The ultimate hotel hideaway! Trapped in a time warp somewhere on the Mosel. You expect Baron von Richtoven or Hercule Poirot to walk into the restaurant at any moment. Even the toilets are like an art gallery. Food excellent. Our room was designated as in the main body of the hotel but was actually in an attached part over the public toilets.
Fab big room & spotlessly clean. Very nice staff. Over excessive selling of products in the beauty spa....very of putting. Would have used it again except for that.
We loved the view over Mosel and watching at a beautiful castle wile eating breakfast. Excellent food and restaurant and lovely Spa. We thought the city where a bit boring, everything was closed and did not know oct/nov. was off season.
Very good service. Food and service in dinning room was outstanding
Great location near the wine festival
The room was spacious, the kitchenette a nice touch for when we didn't want to eat out. The staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant food is incredible. The scenic location, directly on the Mosel and across from the Ruin Grevenburg is beautiful even in the winter. It is also a short walk to the train station. The bathrooms are a bit on the small side for a four star but typically bathrooms in German hotels aren't very large.
we liked the room, the terrace and the wine pub. And it was also in a place that you could walk to other restaurants and the little village.
Location, atmosphere, car parking Restaurant and bar expensive
Hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel is located in an excellent area. The food was not what we expected. We thought they would have hot foods as well as more variety.
Very helpful staff with fabulous views from river side, very romantic.
Good location close to Mosel River. Room is comfortable. Tasting at thier winery was quite impressive. All staff are very kind and friendly. But some of them are not fluent in English.
excellent location, excellent rooms and service. restaurant pricey
The wonderful view, quiet peaceful locatopn, very large room, staff helpful, good food The hot food at breakfast could do with some attention.
We stayed in a suite, downstairs was a kitchen, dining and living area with a balcony overlooking the Mosel river, upstairs a large bedroom. The room was very clean and the hotel itself was remarkable with local paintings on the walls. Very nice. Hopefully we get to go to Traben-Trarbach again just so we can stay at that hotel. Highly recommended. (We had to pay a little more to upgrade to the suite)
Very pleasant staff, wonderful location, breakfast very nice.
Nice room with view of Mosel
The woman on reception was absolutely lovely and very helpful. We had booked two double rooms with an extra cot-bed, but when we arrived she gave us the option of a family room which was huge, and alot cheaper. We were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The reading lamps beside the beds gave very poor light for reading.
1.Familiarity - stayed here twice before. Stephanie remembered us - we were glad she is still there. 2. We love the location - nice little town, river and hills. 3. In easy reach of other parts of Mosel by bus and boat. 4. Views from rooms at front - always something to watch!
We found the whole package excellent , especially the management and staff.
Staff helped us find specific places my wife remembered from childhood and went out of their way to do so. Location is good and family room size perfect. None
The friendly and helpful nature of all the hotel staff - in particular the manager of the hotel.
Friendly atmosphere, good food, comfortable rooms.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Comfortable beds. Convenient location 1. Bathroom was very small. 2: We had a room overlooking the Mosel, but there were two roads between and it was noisy with the window open (there's no air conditioning)
the location and closeness to attractions and town hotel is in need of refurbishment
very nice location and very good service no air condition ( smell from outside restorants kitchen) could be avoid by the air condition
The quality of service and the friendiness of the staff The quality of the set meal was excellent but to have an either/or choice would have been appropriate
Thank You for your hospitality, we had a really pleasant stay. Greetings from snowy Finland. Very helpful and friendly smiling staff.
The location; the clean, comfortable room; the efficient and friendly staff.
Location The service given was especially bad. We requested to leave before the third night immediately upon arrival before an upcoming extremely busy weekend. So the hotel could have sold the rooms the last night very easy. In stead of this they only wanted to cancel our deal for this last night if they could sell both rooms. In case one room could be sold we even had to change rooms...!!! Sorry, but this madam does not fit in the hotel business. Other than that she pointed out it is a worldwide standard "three star hotel policy" to leave the bed sheets unchanged for three ongoing nights. Completely unacceptable!!!!!!! This hotel does NOT deserve any star in our opinion!!!!!!!!
The whole atmosphere was friendly, welcoming and efficient. All staff were extremely helpful. Room and breakfast perfect .
The 3 course dinner offered as part of the half day board was fabulous !
clean bright comfortable room, tastefully decorated, helpful staff. no
Very nice and comfortable small hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast is very good. The hotel restaurant "Cavallerie" is excellent
We especially appreciated the elevator for someone with difficulty to climb stairs.
friendliness of the staff, being so close to all ameneties, local information readily available.
easy to find close to everythink no pool
The staff & room Nill
room and breakfast no
Comfy beds, good positon, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good breakfast No loung area - didn't affect our stay as only 1 night
The river view from the window, The restaurant food is execellent and is value for money.. Highly recommended for quality. There is no lift.
The friendliness of the staff was second to none. On the river so wonderful views and fabulous location for exploring Traben Trarbach. It was a little noisy as located on the road.
The friendlieness, location, comfort, cleanlieness and the breakfast. nothing
Owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and cozy. Food in the restaurant was outstanding. Have already recommended the restaurant to friends.
comfort and location
The room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again
Comfortable rooms and nice service. Excellent breakfast.
Large triple room. Riverside location. Convenient parking onsite. Tasty breakfast included. A bit of a walk into town (15 minutes), but the walk is along the river bank (and a quiet road) and scenic, so can't really complain!
The room was very large with a nice balcony. It is located right on the Mosel River with great views of the river.
Location directly on Mosel River and quiet. Staff was very helpful. Good parking.
Nice, very clean hotel, nice wiew to river Mosel
Excellent location, clean rooms and excellent facilities. Great hotel if you can justify the excessive charges for the breakfast & parking. Breakfast much too expensive. (We had breakfast in the town for half the price), Parking charges again much too expensive - 56 euro's for 3 night stop!!.
The views from the front - the staff who were friendly - especially the chef - Wasnt happy that the hotel was more than 11km from the airport - I may have misunderstood your website but when I searched for hotels near hann airport, krone hotel that was the closest at that time - this was the deciding factor for booking - when I arrived for a business fair - the distance from the airport to the hotel was double and therfore cost me 140 euro in taxi fares in all
Haus Jungenwald is ideal for English visitors to the Mosel and Rhine regions, but you will need your own transport. Esther your host is fluent in English and is the most friendly host we have come across, in the many years of travelling to this region. Esther, will make your stay most enjoyable. The hotel is quiet, as it has few rooms and they are all comfortable with en-suite. Breakfast is ample with juice, fresh baked bread, cheese and hams etc. and Esther also cooks bacon and egg for you. We particularly liked the homely atmosphere and although we did not have an evening meal, due to visiting the sights all day, when we returned, sometimes around 10pm, we were welcomed to sit in the bar and socialise with Esther and her other guests. Please ignore the rare negative comment that you may come across from our European friends , when checking reviews about this hotel. You will be pleased you decided to stay here.
The hotel's location right in front of the airport terminal makes it ideal for passengers catching an early morning flight from Hahn.
Ok hotel just across the airport. rooms really minimum size Size of room and only seating for one
New hotel located just in front of the Frankfurt Hahn airport and with a very good price-quality ratio.
Free web few intarnational tv chanels
Location could not be better - Right in Frankfurt Hahn-Airport. Clean, efficient, warm and great breakfast.
Access to aitport. We missed the last bus from Frankfurt main station (10pm) and had to catch a taxi.
The location is just awesome - it´s literally in front of the airport. If your morning flight is delayed you can conveniently wait in your room as we did. Besides the price is good also!
service attitude Telephone was not really usable--or at least no one seemed to know how to use it!
Room fine, however noisy early in the morning with the sound of showers etc probably the fabric of the wall construction
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their mascot was a very cute mutt of a dog. It was bare basics, no soap in bathroom, no hairdryer, no frills but very clean. Also no restaurant even though it advertised as having one.
Great location, fatastic terrace and very nice personal! The bed was terrible. I have not slept in such a bad bed in many years.
Our late arrival was no problem and the owners were very correct. The room and shower were basic, but clean and spacious. The beds were ok, although the matress on the extra bed in the room was very hard. The view from our room at the front of the building was beautiful looking out over the Mosel river. Breakfast was alright, but mediocre compared to other experiences in German hotels. the website mentioned free Wifi, but even standing in front of the window the signal was very weak. The only signal we could reach was from the city of Traben Trarbach, not from the hotel itself.
The location - small town on the river nothing
The building viewed from the outside looked good, and the location on the banks of the Mosel and in central in the town was excellent. But all this was ruined by the condition & service of the hotel itself. The manager/owner seemed to be disorganised and gave more attention to guests who arrived after us , even though we speak German well. We were given a fairly basic room up in the upper part of the hotel which had no TV as advertised (also the hotel's own leaflet states clearly that all rooms have TV) We asked for anolther room & was told that was not possible as we were a late booking and ours was 1 of 2 rooms without TV(there were 5 rooms free at time of booking) We felt that certain rooms were only for booking.com , the worst ones. The breakfast next morning was very poor, a few rolls, small quantity of meats & cheese. The hotel is in need of renovation to be worth €105 a night. But the apology & bottle of wine at the end was appreciated
A good location and a view through the window. Upon arrival the room was not tidied up but the staff was very helpful and everything was soon OK. When leaving we had some problems to get an invoice.
The location of this hotel could not have been better, compared to the other hotels of the same category in this town. There is a wonderful terrace overlooking the river and no traffic. The food served in the restaurant and on the the terrace was excellent and good value. We spend many happy hours there. Ask for a room with a view of the Moselle. The rooms were basic, but comfortable, large and clean. There is free wifi and a large breakfast.
It is right on the Mosel River with a beautiful view and excellent service. The food is also very good. The modern, sparse, decor of the rooms was incongruous to the outer facade. I would have liked more antiques and art in the rooms.
The 3-bed suite was great value for the money. It was much larger and more homey than we expected. Three couples sharing and no one felt crowded. Nicely furnished, with full kitchen. The hotel was close to the Mosel river and the cuise boats. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but very good.
We were in the Mosel area to try out wines and food. What better place than the Wolfshof could we have gotten: Not only an excellent wine grower with outstanding wines - also the food was excellentely prepared and executed! If we are back in that region: No doubt - we are going to stay at the Wolfshof again!!!
friendly owner with very good wine and food
The web site for the hotel made it look much better than what was reality. We had the last rooms available that day, it was a sort of be happy you have a room somewhere tonight!!!
Warm welcome. Our room was dated and small but the bed was extremely comfortable and it and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The owner, his wife and daughter were excellent hosts. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was good and reasonably priced. The hotel had character, was reasonably priced and rested c50m from the Mosel with stunning views and a walk alongside the river. The rooms were a little dated but it was truly comfortable.
Excellent location, friendly staff, good food (especially breakfast) Bed linen - not cotton
Staff friendly, some spoke English, lovely atmosphere, restaurant was excellent as was breakfast.
beautiful little town next to river Mosel and wine fields. Nice people and staff. Reasonable price for groups and families. food was very salty and spicy
very friendly staff and spacious apartment no lift to 3rd floor, luckily we only had hand luggage.
excellent surroundings and very relaxing no wi fi access after repeated attempts and asking for assisitance from reception no problems at other hoterls
Exellent quality, spacious, recently decorated rooms. Luxury facilities, Very pleasant terrace overlooking the river for a drink and food. Pleasant, helpful staff. Peaceful village close by that provides alternatives for eat & drinks if you want. I advise you to do your best to get a room on the river side of the hotel. The other side overlooks a road. There is no noise because of good insulation, but of course it is less attactive as a view.
Friendly Staff. Great location and beautifully decorated hotel. menus only in German.
Friendly staff in hotel, large rooms and all in all a lot of space everywhere. Spa had no pool nor jacuzzi this is rare. Hotel should also mention that kids are not allowed to enter spa area. My family didn't visit there at all. Restaurant with dinner and service was not on same level as hotel rooms
the rooms, the location, the beer garden The bar
Nice environment along the Mosel River and nearby vinyards. Nice and confortable room. The breakfast (that was included in the price) was excellent. We booked a room for 2 adults and one child. When we arrived at the hotel the reception told us not having received the information about the child. As a result we got another room (which was a nice room) but not the one we initially booked.
Very well located on the Mosel river banks, good base to explore the wine region.Rooms have been beautifully refurbished to very high standard. Plenty of car parking. Food of a good standard, especially the breakfast buffet. A dinner menu in English was not available and dining room staff on duty in the evening spoke very little English. Breakfast staff did however speak good english.
Its position on the Mosel A little soulless. Hygiene in the breakfast room was a concern on one day with uncovered cheese and meat attracting flies.
All the staff was very kind and most helpfull. The food was very good and the location on the bank of Mosel beautifull. No nothing.
The situation room airconditioning was not very efficient
The food It seemed a bit "tired"
the calm, and the food !! people there also are rather nice a bit lost away from any twon, shops.....without a car it is a bit more difficult
dining room no fans to cool west facing hot sunny room even with balcony doors open
The situation of the hotel was ideal. It was in a quiet area with views of the Mosel and lovely river walks and the river ferry station was also very close. It is situated within easy reach of the bustling Bernkastel. Breakfast was very good. We booked a vineyard view but was placed in a room overlooking the Mosel and we appreciated this much better view.
Breakfast, location to Mosel None
the position and setting
-the rooms are are clean and simple, nothing special. the reception isnt open 24-7.
The owner was great!!!! I left my credit card and she went out of her way to work with me to get it back to me. The shower was just ok. The door kept opening and the water temp kept changing
It was near to the vineyards for a nice walk. Free internet service. We were received just as numbers and not as people. Straight forward, no careing. The room was small, the bathroom minimalistic. We had asked for a twin-bedded room, and got a room with two standard beds in a row after each other. When we complained we were told that this is the way it is in Germany! And certainly, the hotel had nothing like that we asked for.A simple walking-map, fre on most hotels, was 2.5 Euro. The hotel's restaurant (nice) had an excellent menu outside but inside it showed up to have avery limited menu on Wednesdays. The good thing was that we had a low-cost evening. Good service in the restaurant. The hotel's parking garage was almost impossible to enter and even worse to get out of. Parked finally on the municipal P.
The room was very clean and well laid out. It was a welcome relief after the previous 4 days staying in Paris! The restaurant had a small menu but the food was very good at a very fair price. We could not park in the hotel parking lot. There appeared to be a number of staff cars there and the hotel was very busy.
Extremely spacious, well appointed, comfortable rooms. Breakfast could have had both greater variety and quantities.
spacious, bright room, with Danish influence in design; lovely location along the Mosel river; breakfast was ok, although it could use more variety; very efficient staff; good starting point to visit around (Burg Thurant was a charming and less touristic experience). pillows; internet access
Charming little property with large rooms. Nice breakfast spread. No kettle in room but provided on request. Would stay here again if returning to area. Internet access, and a self-serve laundry would be nice. No air-conditioning, so may not be appropriate in summer (was fine for October though).
very large and comfortaable room
The Manager was very friendly and cheerful. The surroundings are stunning as is the building. Could do with a few signposts around the place directing us where to go - we went to a few places before finally finding Reception via the back door. Although we had been told where to go for breakfast, again, we had to ask how to access it. Just a few clear signposts would have helped. Other than that, couldn't fault it and would highly recommend it and come back again.
The location was perfect for a trip up the Mosel valley and the hotel was excellent. Just wish we had more time on the trip to linger.
The location was great. Being almost of the river with picturesque villages surrounding it The owner was not very friendly and breakdowns in service (TV and Internet) were not attended to before we left.
peaceful and very beautiful location, wonderful, big rooms no
Everything - the quality of the fittings, the huge bed, the bathroom, the size of the room, the warmth etc etc. And the breakfast was excellent too.
The spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, the location of the hotel, and the guest services
Location, restaurants and rooms Lack of AC and minibar
Friendly competent staff. Comfortable, spacious room. Excellent restaurant.
The spa was lovely although it didn't have a pool. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel's location was a little too remote for us. Mulheim is a small village with very little in it.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Service very good. Fantastic hotel if you are looking for a romantic and relaxing holiday away from home. Web-site advised golf was 3km away however the closest course was half an hour drive to Trier.
Quality of breakfast and diner was excellent No bar/frigerator in the room
Excellent service and very nice and beautiful hotel. Many free extras such as borrowing a Porche for free and free entrance to beautiful spa area. The breakfast buffet and the restaurant were excellent.
Fantastic lady in red jacket on reception, very helpful. Lovely hotel The staff on the bar for the outside garden needed to be quicker and needed more training
This hotel was by far the best one i have ever stayed in!!! The stay began with a receptional greeting that was superb. From there the experience just got better. The Mosel river was a 2-3 minute walk away and the dining was of top chef status...very gourmet. Looking for a great getaway for Valentines day or an anniversary...you have got to go here!!
This has all the ingredients of a top class luxury hotel. The staff (mostly young girls) were pleasant and professional. Breakfasts (with Sekt) and bar meals were also very good. The slight drawbacks mentioned below were therefore all the more frustrating. There seemed to be no "joined-up" management, and no-one really in overall charge. On two occasions we booked at reception for meals but the restaurant did not get the booking. The gourmet restaurant also did not allow guests to eat indoors in the evening (away from insects), so we were forced to eat in the bar, and on another evening we were told we could not eat anywhere in the hotel, and had to find a meal elsewhere. The junior suite we booked was very nice, but surprisingly did not include a bath but only a shower, and being at the dormer level with no airconditioning it was also uncomfortably hot. This hotel has a lot going for it, but seems to need a shake-up to reach true Relais et Chateaux standard.
The Restaurant and the charactere of the building The room had thin wall which means that you clearly hear what'a happening in the next room! However I slept well.
Plenty of parking; good sauna/pool. Boring & outdated room, worthless pillows, confusing hotel layout.
1. WiFi in room (for a fee) 2. Use of Business Center computer to access internet 3. Nice breakfast buffet 1. Lack of ventilation in room 2. Major convention descended on hotel second night 3. Drunk attempting to enter our room early morning; same drunk leaving a mess in front of our door in the hallway
Staff was nice and friendly, restaurant at the down stairs was also nice and we had there a good family dinner. There were just terrible the smell of tobacco in our room!!! Argh!!!
This hotel was very dog friendly which is a definate plus for us. We also enjoyed the walking trails and pool. The decor is a bit dated and it seemed like everyone was smoking - at least we had a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor.
Swimming pool is very nice and also the sauna area. Very helpful staff.
Good free wifi and use of fridge in room restaurant is badly run, poor follow up by management of our food complaint.
I stayed for a very short time, but the hotel is very good. None.
Great spa facility that was not busy the weekend we were there. recommend a walk down thru' the vineyards to the river and the challenge of walking back up. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
food good staff friendly booked a room with balcony with a view of the mosel , the hotel is on the wrong side of the road , there is no view of the river. The manager tried to get us to move on the last night so she could allocate the room to another guest by telling us there was a defect in the room.
A delightful hotel. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the family owners. A complimentary glass of wine with our (excellent) first night's dinner led us to buy some of the Conrad's own wines, which I can recommend. There's not much to see in Brauneberg itself, but nearby Bernkastel-Kues has a lovely centre (Markt), a spectacular castle and several cafes and restaurants
Although we only stayed one night, whilst breaking our journey, the welcome at the hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and the evening meal was out of this world - the choice on the menu was excellent, together with the choice of local wines to accompany it. We wished that we were staying longer.
