Pros: Proprietor/owner a wonderful host. Amenities galore: gourmet coffee in room and at delicious breakfast, washer/dryer, walking trail and on and on. I have been a business traveler in literally thousands of hotel rooms, and this facility rates top 2%!
Cons: Liked it ALL
Pros: Location and rooms
Cons: That we did not stay longer
I can't praise this hotel enough. The owner was extremely friendly and the decor was very nice. I was a little thrown initially by the motel-style room system but each room has a small lockable entry-way for coats and shoes that is shared by one street-side and one river-side room. Overall, the rooms are nicely decorated and come with a fridge. There were even slippers provided, something you normally never see in a 2.5 star hotel. The owner also runs a small pet-suite co-located with the hotel so pets are definitely welcome. Given the price, location and quality, I would firmly call this a 3-star hotel. We were even provided with a 50-dollar off coupon for our next stay upon checkout, useable within the next year: A nice little perk. If we can make it back to Washington, we'll definitely stay in Twisp again.
Pros: This hotel has a fantastic location with a nice deck overlooking a small mountain stream. There was even a hammock down by the water. They served possibly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had including award-winning Blue Star coffee roasted in town.
Cons: The king-bed room was a little small on the street side but well equipped. We wish we could have stayed another day and gotten a river-facing room.
Pros: Staff was very cordial and courteous...
Cons: Unfortunately I had to sit my coffee maker on the floor in order to plug it in... They need another electrical outlet or a small table near a outlet for the coffee pot... No big deal but a nuisance.
upgrade to a river view room!
Pros: unique. owner and staff were excited about the hotel and wanted everyone to be happy. they went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. they offered helpful tips on the best places to eat and things to experience.
Cons: beautiful stone path down to the river and firepit can be hard to walk on when it becomes sandy.
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and very attentive to our needs
Pros: The River Run Inn is located right on the Methow River. It's a beautiful setting. We saw deer every day. The weather was ove 100 F while we were there. the A/C was excellent and the pool was a great place to cool down more. The river is cool but my husband did dunk himself in it once very briefly! The lakes nearby are a good place to swim and beat the heat too. All the staff at the Inn were friendly and helpful. We'll be back!
Cons: We came away with bug bites but that wasn't the Inn's fault! For me the bed was a bit hard.
Located less than a 15-minute walk from the historic center of Winthrop, the River Run Inn features a western frontier theme with an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. A number of outdoor activities can be enjoyed here, including scenic river tours, water tubing, and volleyball. The rooms here all have a river view, and include hand-made log furniture. Additionally, a TV with a DVD player, a sitting area with a sofa, a microwave, refrigerator, and a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower are also included in the rooms. Other available facilities here include free bike rentals, BBQ facilities, a DVD library and massage services. The Shafer Museum is just under 1 miles away, and various trails for hiking, biking, and skiing can be found surrounding the property.
Cons: Food was so so. Uninspired food and presentation.
Front desk check in not well trained and lacked basic knowledge of property. She called for help but no one responded.
When visiting Winthrop, Sun Mountain Lodge is a great choice to consider. You can indulge in deep-tissue massages, body scrubs, or aromatherapy, and The Dining Room, one of 2 restaurants, serves breakfast and dinner. There are 2 outdoor pools and a bar/lounge, and rooms offer balconies and premium bedding.
Pros: The location right on the river is so very nice and it is a very short walk to everything in town. It is clean and the staff was very nice and the facilities and rooms were just great.
Pros: Outstanding view of streams and wildlife (deer, ducks). Very close to restaurants.
Cons: The stores all closed at 5:00 during high tourist season.
Hotel Rio Vista is a great choice for a stay in Winthrop. The spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day, and freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks. Conveniences like kitchenettes are in all rooms, along with balconies and LED TVs.
Pros: The rooms were clean and the bathroom in my room was recently renovated with new fixtures and paint. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, both of which came in handy. This isn't a luxury hotel but it isn't meant to be, and it suited me well for the two nights I was here. I did not use the outdoor pool but it is a nice size and many others used it while I was there.
Cons: There isn't much to dislike about the Abbycreek Inn - straight-forward and comfortable at a decent price.
Pros: The location was great for all things Winthrop/Twisp. The people were friendly. The bed was sooooooo cozy! The shampoos & conditioners were organic. Although I always bring my own, it was awesome to see they care!
Cons: The weather wasn't quite as cooperative as we had hoped! The pool was great, but too chilly for us! Our granddaughter was really excited about the pool, but the bathtub worked equally well!
Pros: Staff was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was decent size, clean and reasonably comfortable.
Cons: Beds could be better. Rate was a bit high for this class of hotel, but it was likely because of the holiday week.
Pros: Durtie towels in my room, no hair dryer wasn't clean over all
Cons: Everyone was nice
Pros: Folks were really nice and the value of the room was outstanding.
Pros: Friendly staff and clean
