Pros: Absolutely everything was superb. We could not fault a thing. Comfy bed, great shower, tranquil, idyllic location, super evening meal with great company, and the hosts made it extra special. Pros: Our stay at The Barn was part of our Alps 2 Ocean cycle journey. We fell in love with The Barn, and everyone and everything in it. We particularly liked pet sheep Russell and Monica and pet cat Lala and pet dog Tay. The food was excellent, the company was charming and we loved exploring the eclectic collection of artefacts.
Cons: The track from Ohau road to The Barn was bumpy for our bikes. The alternative through the campsite by Lake Middleton is easier but needs to signposting.

Pros: The host, Hugh was great. The property and views are special. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Loved it all. You should know that the B&B is really not in the small town Twizel. IT’s near Lake Ohau. Definitely worth the drive off hwy 8.

Pros: Amazing. Breathtaking setting. Steffan prepared an amazing dinner and Mike’s star safari was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend.
7.9 Good
Pros: Most pristine lake I have ever seen, and every room has a view overlooking this picture perfect scene. Lake changed with every passing hour and was a delight to view from the guest lounge area.
Cons: The room was very expensive. Because of the isolation of this off the grid hotel, it is inevitable that guests will dine in the hotel restaurant. The meal was expensive and a set course.

Pros: Beautiful little huts that were extremely comfortable and warm during our cold snowy stay! We loved being able to go for a walk and discover some amazing views. This place is awesome! Go for a picnic or relax in bed watching a movie while looking at the snow through the windows - it was the highlight of my trip :)

Pros: Gorgeous location, gorgeous hotel and rooms. Was so thrilled because we booked it at the last minute. Absolutely first rate views, accommodations, service, totally quiet, top drawer furnishings, very eco-conscious (which we love).
Cons: There is no choice for dinner, so although the food is good, it is not always a food or dish that you would want.
