the place is wonderfull.Hope to cone again! Its placed on a very quiet position next to the forest. and 5 min. from the action of the Chimsee!
cleanness and features (hair dryer) of the bathroom, television in the room (with channels in English) car park too small, fee applicable if payment by credit card (5%)
at 7:00 (morning ) they cen not serve breakfest. (we recieve it night before, with cofee in termos that became cold till the morning)
all-around service and comfort at a suitably relaxed pace. n.a.
Everything of the above. Prices are a bit on the high side.
The location and surroundings of the hotel are agreeable. The buildings are very well restored and comfortable. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as well as the concept of a "Landgut" hotel. a) We were disappointed by the quality in the restaurant. Cold food, salty vegetables, tasteless "knödel". Restaurant personnel did give good service in trying to correct the mishap.b)There were two dogs in the next room next to ours, which barked at night. Reception personnel did see to it that we did not have any further disturbance caused by the dogs.
Very nice environment, good location for sports, walking bycicle, warm atmosphere close to the Chiemsee. Room had extremely small bathroom, not really appropriate for a two persons room at this price. Personnel kind but inexperienced and not well managed. Restaurant is not of good quality. The really only professionals services in the hotel were the man in the bar and the cleaning ladies.
The kindness and thoughtfulness of the hotel employees, and beautiful interior, with a lot of antique furniture and paintings. Real hospitality ! No serious items
The hotel had excellent facilities for golf, horesriding, tennis, wellness, walking, excellent restaurants, and was dog friendly. None
Booking was not registered when we arrived but suite with private terrace found for our 2- day stay. Very modern bathroom and delightfully furnished suite.
The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the buffet breakfast was sensational, the spa facility was equally remarkable; we enjoyed the overall setting of the hotel: old buildings beautifully redone and refurbished with great furniture. We were not motorized which restricted us in moving around easily.
The hotel was very clean and they had a bed for our 3 year old daughter and a crib for our son. There should be more English written brochures for things to do and where to go.
Super hotel, conveniently located to the sites we wanted to visit. Staff was friendly & helpful.
Size of the room and common areas of the hotel (restaurant, loby). There was no airconditioning in the room.
Staff was extremely courteous and friendly - practically everyone was ready with a greeting. The rooms were very quiet, spacious and modern, the sauna area good, an excellent breakfast buffet. Lake Chiem is only about a 15 minute drive away, and the mountains are practically in the back yard. The hotel is very family- and pet-friendly. WiFi was too expensive (though brief use for free was available in the lobby). The quality of the restaurant for dinner was disappointing - we ordered a la carte, but the dishes were overpriced and did not really correspond to the description in the menu. Most people seemed to choose the buffet. The swimming pools were not really usable for a halfway serious workout, as they were mostly in the posession of the kids.
Swimming pool and spa were very good. I think lounch and dinner were expensive for us.
fantastic breakfast, various offer of possibilities for the good and the bad weather
Dinner is very poor but expensive
The excellent atmosphere created by the hosts and the pure Bavarian style.
The staff was incredibly nice and always willing to help! This was much more than you could expect. Even the fodd was surprisingly good!
Free car park, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was better than average for hotels in this price range. bedroom and bath small but common in hotels in Europe.
Attentive owner/chef was friendly and helpful, and spoke English. In the adjoining restaurant, he took time to translate and elaborate on every item on the German-only menu. The restaurant offered tasty gourmet cooking in a quaint romantic setting. A small, free parking lot is located in front of the hotel/restaurant. Directly across the parking lot is a convenient Penny market for groceries and snacks. The hotel is a good overnight stopping point for Chiemsee visitors and it was convenient to have a breakfast nook/table with benches in our bedroom. An outdoor dining patio directly overlooks into the windows on one wall of our second floor bedroom. Furnishings are a bit dated.
Nice place, convinient room, good breakfast, considerate kind staff. We arrived late, and they tried to call us to let us know they leave a key for us outside... Nothing.
A nice and fair hotel at affordable price. Friendly staff and good service. Good restaurant with nice food
The Gasthof provided excellent meal service
It was a very nice and friendly family run hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions and did everything they could to provide us with a very pleasant stay No elevator but the steps are very wide and easy to use with luggage
Very Friendly Staff. Nice breakfast. Amazing views from our room.
Excellent location. Quiet even in rooms on street side. Manager very accommodating and friendly. Restaurant was excellent.
staff good food and exellent weiss beer no
friendly staff, good food
Welcoming very helpful Edglish speaking staff. Good restuarant with wide choice and staff who made you feel special, were fun and could not do enoughto assist. Room was pleasant and very clean. The hotel was quirky in its decor but that was part of the charm. Excellent deserves more than 2 stars. It was on a busy junction. The town was deserted in the evening.
Very Helpful staff Only one of the staff could speak English
The hotel is a country inn, really designed for longer stays. The room was nice, with a balcony. The restaurant was not open on a Sunday, so had to venture to the village very close.
the staff was very friendly and the room was extremely comfortable. Having a balcony was definitely a plus.
the very helpful staff everything was great
Very nice lake view from all rooms. Very friendly hosts and owners. Great position for starting to visit local places.
I liked the fact that the staff spoke English and was helpful I would have liked to be able to have an evening meal at the hotel. However, the breakfast was good
We were made to feel very comfortable and were looked after very well. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and we had a good view of the lake and harbour from our room. It was a pity that there was no English news channel on the television as we were anxious to learn if other members of our family were likely to be stranded by the volcanic ash saga.
The family was very nice and helpful and the service was excellent. Even tough we thought we had to pay for breakfast they let us know that it was included. That and the kitchen made the week less expensive.
Close to local attractions, beautiful location, beautiful wooden building, nice outside seating area. The room was big and had good shower facilities. Highly recommend the restaurant next door, exceptionally good food. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous. Within the hotel itself, the restaurant staff were cold and ignorant, slow to take orders and we are sure we were given someone's left overs for our dinner - it was disgusting (and it included a dead fly!). No apology given and we were sick the next day. The room was a good size but very dark as there was only one skylight and no windows. As there wasn't a bath only a shower, it was not ideal for a family with two babies.
The food in the restaurant was good and represented good value for money. Room had been newly redecorated The room was over the kitchen and so was noisy until 12.00 and again from 05.45. The facilitities are all in the Seiserhof (sauna, internet) and not avialable in the Seiseralm. No credit cards accepted at Seiseralm.Staff could have been more friendly
The hotel was in a beatiful area with lovely views. A very good standard and excellent breakfast and restaurant. On arrival there was no one to recieve us - just a key left in an envelope with no explanation - just our name. There was no one around who appeared to speak any english. The overall impression was that this was a High Standard 'Corporate Type' Hotel which was just out to fill some spare beds during the 'low season'. There was absolutely no sense of personal 'customer care'. Having said that - we would use this hotel again because, functionally it suited our purpose for visiting Chiemsee.
Friendly staff, good food, nice room
Beautiful location in a very scenic area overlooking the lake and the mountains. The hotel room was lovely and we had a fabulous lake view. The room w as very clean. Buffet breakfast was ample and delicious. We would certainly recommend this hotel. The staff speaks either very little or no English which makes things a little awkward. The adjacent restaurant had great food but the service was slow and the staff not too friendly to foreigners. Our waiter was particularly rude.
Beautiful views to the lake, big spacious room (although we think we were upgraded as we had booked a room with balcony and initially were put in a room with no balcony). Even though English very limited, staff were friendly and smiley. I think the room may have been closed up for the season as it was missing most knives, forks, plates etc. Staff spoke virtually no english - the level of English spoken could be helpful on website. This was the most expensive Hotel we stayed in, and although lovely, no nicer than any of the others that we stayed in around Austria.
The Seishof is up on the hillside in a rural area, but still only about a 2-3 minute drive to Bernau am Chiemsee zentrum........location is very nice and quiet.......excellent veiw of the lake. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to Priem am Chiemsee to get on the ferry boat for HerrenChiemsee. The staff, the breakfast buffet, and the room rate were all excellent......I would definitely recommend the Seiserhof.
Good value, convenient, beautiful location and friendly staff. As the gateway to the Tyrol it is perfect
Nice staff, completely renovated rooms, great location. Highly recommended if you want a nice, quiet hotel in the Bavarian country side.
Excellent facilities and food, superb vista from all windows, very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. None
very good hotel. nice breakfast. the room is quiet and clean. good beer as well
No remark, everything was OK. I would recomend GPS for help to find a hotel, in my case road was closed, because of reconstruction and evening arriving, GPS was very helpful.
The whole experience was wonderful wish we had stayed there longer.
Quiet idyllic location. Well appointed room, especially bathroom. Good restaurant frequented by locals. Cheerful staff.
Wonderful location, calm and quiet, like villages used to be in the old days. Place for kids to play. Flowers, trees, nice terrasse and restaurant with splendid food. Friendly welcome and great value for money. We will come again. Rooms were modern, so don't expect a traditional old style. They were a bit basic but clean and comfortable. No bath, but shower was fine.
beautifull hotel, friendly owneress, very nice breakfast difficult to find, especially at night
The Gasthof is in a very actractive village setting, the room was newly refurbished to a high standard and was immaculately clean. The restaurant was very popular with local people and we found the food to be of excellent quality. We were travelling to Italy and it proved to be an ideal stop-over just 10 mins from the Autobahn. No
Beautiful Bravarian motif! No elevator. (However, most of these smaller hotels lacked elevators.)
Everything - staff, location, all was wonderful
Location and appearance of hotel was fine. We left a day early when we were awoken, at 0500hrs in the morning, by the cries of animals (8 pigs and 1 bull), being taken into an abatoir, from an enclosed yard, below our bedroom window. The animals were clearly distressed and my wife and I were very upset by the experience. I am amazed that an abatoir is co-located with a hotel and visitors are not warned.
The location in a very beautiful little town of Bernau. Though located on the central road of the town - didn't find it bothering at all. The fact that the heating wasn't on all the time (probably was shut from a central location in the hotel), the room was cold and it was only the end of October. I hate to think what is going on there in the "real" winter time.
The hotel is very cozy and cute. Staff was friendly, spoke English. Only 10 minutes to Prien to go to the islands by boat. Breakfest included and was a nice spread of food. Resturant in hotel has amazing meals. Family friendly. we love it!
Havig stayed there in the past, I enjoyed coming back and finding the service as good as last time. As our room overlooked the street there was a lot of traffic noise.
traditional, clean and value for money.
Great Hotel, biker friendly, superb food. Ideal for exploring the local area or staging through, as we did.
this hotel was used as a stop int transit onto Austria, so did not arrive until late so was just a place to sleep have breakfast then left
Relax, panorama and silence. Excellent room indeed. I know just a few german words, but the staff knows a few english ones.
the room it was a very gloomy hotel. no light, noone to ask, it was very difficult to find
Good food, perfect room for one night but also if you want to go for a weekend or longer, very nice staff
Everything was ok. The location , restaurant, silence and closeness to the mountains was wonderful..... The quality of towels must be improved...
The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. They went to great lengths to make things easy for me and made me feel at home from the first moment. I should have stayed longer!
Rooms were spacious and the staff was very friendly. Beautiful view from out the back windows. Room was clean. The beds were very uncomfortable.
This is a wonderful well resourced family owned Bavarian hotel which never ceases to amaze me with its excellent service, food and helpfullness. Within 20 minutes of being collected from the railway station you can be out walking in the hills. Nothing is too much trouble, you will feel welcome from the moment you arrive
The large rooms. That there wasn't a possibility to have a second extra bed in the room eventhough the room was big enough. When we stayed here last year the staff was more child friendly.
friendly staf We expected the hotel to have a restaurant, but it didn,t
Calm place, nice surroundings. Unfriendly behaviour of the staff at departure (we were given 5 minutes to leave the rooms despite we asked for 10 minutes), only cash payment possibility.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice location, easy to find. Apartment was nice and clean. Toilet flush didn't work properly so we had to fill a bucket with water instead of using the flush. We booked an apartment for 3 and got 1 little shower creme which would have been enough for 1 person, but definitely not for 3. Breakfast was fine, though there was only 1 single bottle of orange juice in the cantine, which, of course, was empty, then after 5 minutes the lady refilled only half of the bottle.
Lovely, family-run hotel. Typical of the area. Friendly staff. Lovely suite. Nothing.
friendly family owned hotel, clean, and since we were leaving very early in the morning for the airport we were given a tray with coffee and breakfast,in the evening. we were first put in a kind of appartment outside of the hotel which was rather big but unfortunately it smelled somewhat mouldy and maybe stale smoke.however the lady of the hotel did give us another room in the hotel, the next day,and that was ok. the matresses however were not,one had a spring sticking out, and the other small sharp hairs.
We stayed for a weekend to explore Chiemsee area and choosed this hotel in the nice and quiet village of Bergen because is close toi the high way and to the lake and for good rates. The furniture and room style is very cosy.
Friendly Not comfortable at all - terrible bed and no soap!
There were parking options within hotel premises. No baby cot available, although it was reserved. There was no soap or toilet paper. Staff on duty was rude.
good breakfast, nice stuff
