A business and leisure hotel in LA's entertainment capital—next to Universal Studios Hollywood in Hollywood Hills—we host reality shows, musicians visiting the Hollywood Bowl or The Greek Amphitheatre, and stars from film and TV at NBC Universal, Disney, and Warner Brothers. We're pleased to offer over 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, enabling us to fulfill your needs for any event. Then, during downtime, Sheraton Fitness and our attractive outdoor pool make it easy to enjoy this home away from home. Our 457 guest rooms boast great views of Universal Studios or the Hollywood Hills from our 20-story tower. Our pool and spa are closed for renovations until summer begins; alternate arrangements have been made so that guests can still enjoy a refreshing swim.
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view.
When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything
- Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
The public area is very nice
Check in was very delayed. No iron in room. No wifi and public computers didn't work properly
Close to visit Universal Studios and not far from airport.
5 minutes walking to Universal Studios! Staff was super friendly and the room service was fanastic.
Location as it is closed to the Universal studio
No water being provided
The proximity to Universal studios was great. The porter/valet, front desk and concierge were all very friendly.
I like the assistance the hotel provided in helping us plan our trip and visit sights around the area.
Our room had a used cot in it when we arrived, but they handled it quickly and moved us to a new room.
Vary close to park and city walk. Vary clean and friendly service.
The valet parking chaps were efficient and helpful and fresh breakfast was fast and good
electronic key had to be changed on 3rd day sd it wasnt programmed for my full stay
staff members and housekeeping
free courtesy bus to universal is good. However this hotel is so close to Universal you can walk easily. If you are in town for the theme park this is the place to stay.
