Views from the corner room on the 23rd floor were spectacular. I went for business but would love to go back for pleasure.
Parking way too expensive. Especially for a business event when you have to stay there.
Overall, the staff and accommodations were very good. Coupled with the proximity to Universal Studios, my family and I enjoyed our stay (the park entrance is a roughly 10 minute walk). Some detractors/considerations for those wanting to stay. -It's in LA, so you're subject to the COVID policies of the county. Having to show papers each morning or wear a wristband indicating that I and my family were vaccinated just to eat or use the gym was overkill and, franky, just felt wrong. -Parking is $30/day ($45/day for valet). I know it's LA, but if you're paying to stay at the hotel, parking should be included. -The restaurant food was solid and the buffet very good. That said, even with a meal credit for being a Diamond Member, the food was pricey for a family of four (for example, the breakfast buffet was $30/person for anyone over 12). -Coupled with the previous point, the rooms only have a mini fridge, no microwave. This limits your options for eating if you don't want to pay a hefty price either in the hotel or for something like DoorDash. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would most likely go back. The above points are more to ensure folks make a reservation with eyes wide open.
Great location, especially if you’re visiting Universal Studios. Convenient parking. Hotel floor plan is a little weird…but it’s well kept, clean, and in good repair. Like everywhere right now, they seemed to be a bit shirt staffed. Getting help at the front desk was slow and inefficient. The restaurant service was slow and menu overpriced (not surprised). I’d stay here again, and would recommend it.
Pros. The location and closeness to Universal, you are within walking distance.
Cons. Pulled in to check in and told valet that you would be right back. The valet took it upon themselves to park car and even manage to change all seat settings, when they should not have moved car.
