Pros: Location is convenient and the room is clean and tidy.
Cons: Parking lot is difficult to find and it costs more than 5000 yen for one night instead of $1000 yen as told by the hotel. I wonder if they forgot to give us the parking coupon.
Pros: Must try the sky spa, and it worth to add 400 yen to try the add value service. Really nice place to relax. Perfect stay. It is a small room but every thing is clean and neat.

Pros: A beautiful traditional house in a very peaceful location, I stayed two nights it was just so good!
Pros: Very large and spacious place with a very friendly host and free parking!
Cons: The walls were v thin, glad I was the only one there!
Pros: Location in old part of town. Space and ability to prepare your own meals. Used it for one night, wish we had more.
Pros: Hyuga is a very nice and friendly host. The house is a typically japanese house. We had a room just for my partner and I, with futons (and the explanations that come with it) and the AC. Everything was clean and there is all that you need.
Pros: Very authentic japanese area, easy immersion with the culture which is what I was looking for. Other guests were very friendly. Easy to walk around and very safe.
Cons: Having to leave...wish I had stayed longer
Pros: Nice, clean and tidy. Everything we needed was just there.
Cons: Nothing, maybe a little hard to find.

Pros: Located Within sight of the central train station, and a block away from a lovely covered shopping mall, I can not imagine a more convenient place to stay in the city.
Cons: Because of the event going on in the city, the time it took to check-in was very long. Not much that they could do about that I suppose, as all front desk staff were involved.
Pros: Fabulous location, central to train station shopping complex and other shopping and restaurant areas-all in walking distance.
Cons: Bed was bit small and took awhile to adjust the very compact bathroom
Pros: It was in a great location, right in the center of town and walking distance to train and buses
Pros: The location is great and it is convenience for shopping. The employees in the hotel are enthusiastic and hospitable.
Pros: The onsen was lovely, as was the free washing machines

Cons: The hotel forgot to enable hot water support system, we have one night no hot water for taking a shower.
Pros: Although it's not on the main street, the location is ok. Walkable distance to the station and to the main street. The room is spacious and the room service breakfast is great. The environment is good and privacy is high. The staff is also nice.
Cons: The sign for direction is still quite clear, however, it maybe better if a map can be sent to the client beforehand. The check in time is very limited (4pm-8pm) and the check out time is quite early (10am). It will be good if such information could be informed beforehand so travellers can plan their trip better.
Pros: Breakfast set was delivered promptly.
Pros: Friendly staff, nice hot spring, classic room, very clean.
Cons: no service after 8:00PM no catering service Only provide Japanese breakfast, should be more choice Smoking smell mix with refresh smell in the toilet too many insects in the room spring
Pros: The hotel is very well situated, the rooms are a good size, the bathroom, shower, and toiletries (including slippers and gowns) provided are great, and the staff are wonderful. We were very impressed with the range of breakfast options. Although the hotel doesn't have its own onsen, there are many excellent facilities nearby. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Pros: Breakfast is quite good, decent variety. Location is excellent and the shopping & FnB is just within 100m. Staffs are friendly even though they do not speak English well!
Pros: Good location for local bars and restaurants. 10 minute easy walk to station through undercover shopping arcade!
Cons: Breakfast was a bit average for my western tatses! A few funky things I wasn’t game to try first thing in the morning!
Pros: The location was a short walk from the main station along a colonnade of shops and restaurants. Location was therefore great. Room was Japan small but reflected in the price. The room was spotless as I got used to expecting in Japan. Staff also very helpful with advise on getting round etc
Cons: Small buffet for a small hotel. Cant expect an extensive range of food out when the hotel is a smaller hotel so breakfast reflected that.
Pros: It was available.
Cons: Not friendly. Wanted to charge extra 5,000 yen for single beds. Telling me the double bed was very small.

Cons: Needs a refurb, looking tired
Pros: Great location - not far at all from the train station and right around the corner from the Oita Prefectural Art Museum (OPAM). Great service from the Front Office Staff.
Cons: Would have been nice to have an Onsen in the hotel given it is located in one of the best Onsen areas in Japan. The room decor was a little tired.
Pros: Position was really good as close to station but just enough removed. Local covered eating/shopping areas useful too.
Cons: Nothing really although there was not something that really stood out either. Good handy functional place to stay.
Pros: Location,clean and friendly staff

Pros: Nice big room. Very good location 10-15 mins from main train station and a covered arcade full of restaurants, bars and shops starts just over the road from the entrance to the hotel and goes all the way into the centre of Oita. Lobby bar closes a little bit early at 11.00pm with last orders for drinks 10.30pm
Pros: Good location
Pros: We stayed in this hotel for one night during the Rugby World Cup. From the photos when booking, I was expecting a fairly standard hotel, and wasn't prepared for the luxurious foyer with marble and chandeliers, and the more than standard room. Rooms were small, but we were able to book three rooms next to each other for our family. We didn't spend much time in the hotel but all the staff we dealt with were very helpful and friendly. Great location right in the centre of Oita, near restaurants, shops and only 5 mins walk to the train station.
Pros: The room was comfortable e.g bed, shower and the internet worked well.
Cons: When I checked in I gave my credit card for payment but for some reason the hotel never charged me so after I left the hotel and went to Tokyo they chased me up for payment for nearly a month. Instead of just charging the credit card they said I had to pay by bank transfer!!! Finally when they did by some form of magic charge my card the rate was around $30 more then what I had booked for on booking.com I would caution anyone thinking of booking to stay here.
Cons: There was a problem with payment as we shared the cost across two different room types. A staff member cancelled the payment on my card to charge me a lower payment but did not ask to do so. The original debit took some days to be cancelled hence I had limited access to funds.
Located in the center of Oita city and convenient for both business and sightseeing.
Pros: Very clean rooms and staff were very helpful during stay.
Pros: Very Clean, comfortable, good staff, couldn't fault. About a 10 min walk to main station Oita but for airport access the Airport limo bus stops around the corner, very convenient.

Pros: Everthing was great. Especially the staff and breakfast
Pros: The location was ideal

The room was fine smallish but for sleeping is no problem. We had breakfast in the hotel as was included in the price & this was comprehensive with hot cold options Japanese & Western. The supermarket a street over had loads of produce so if you were Bbqed out n Joyful out then just grab stuff n eat in your room Japanese supermarkets are amazing.

Pros: Clean Not so far from city
Pros: Very friendly stuff, not far from the railwaystation
Cons: The room was a bit small but thats normal in japan. The room was a bit out of date but was not so bad.
Pros: They have front staff 24/7 so I guess it’s good for someone who is not so familiar with auto check-in in some hotels in japan. They can speak Japanese and English. You can also ask them information where to go, where to eat at the front door.
Cons: Compared to other places I stayed in Japan, I think the price for hotels in Oita in general is little bit expensive.
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby looked new and was clean and tidy
Cons: Room was tiny, smoke stained and dirty. We moved the bed slightly so I didn't have my face in the curtain and found a toenail on the floor! There was also mould in the bathroom. We stayed here during the pool stages if the rugby world cup and this was by far the most expensive hotel we're stayed at in Japan, and also the worst.
Cons: We booked a trip room but it’s too tiny. Not able to accommodate 3 adults

Pros: Located near the station. Breakfast is ok with Japanese and Western food.

Pros: The staff are very nice and sweet; the food was wonderful(both in Japanese and European style) Room was very clean; near the JR transportation, will definitely book here again next time I came to Oita.
Pros: Close to station, small room but adequate. Breakfast included which was good.
Cons: Room size small for 2 tall people.
Pros: We had been worried about hearing noise from other rooms, especially since we were staying during the RWC, but the room was very quiet. It was also exceptional value for money and the location was brilliant for getting around on foot.
Cons: The room is on the small side for Western standards, but exactly what we expected for Japan so it didnt affect our stay. We only had breakfast the first morning, but we skipped it for the rest of our stay as we found it a little stale.
Pros: Breakfast was adequate, location was good as very near to bus station.
Pros: Location and staff friendliness
Cons: Room stunk of smoke Extremely expensive small double bedroom Impossibly hard mattress Late checkin time and very early check out times with no flexibility
