Was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our 16 day visit to Benelux. Our only regret is that we did not book more nights there!!! Nothing!
the size & decor of the room the hallways were not particularly clean. also, i was not aware the sauna had to be booked in advance as it was for two persons only.
We unexpectedly got an upgrade of 2 levels to a super room, which was greatly appreciated. The location is brilliant for quick walks to the city for restaurants & shopping. Also it's only a quick walk to the station for trains to Amsterdam etc.. For a city hotel in the Netherlands, having it's own parking is a major benefit. The breakfast buffet was also good. We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast, but the room service menu definitely looked better than average for the range of dishes available.
Large, clean and good looking rooms. We had a room of 55 to 60m², the second room was also >45m². We were located at the elevator and you could hear the engine, but it was not really disturbing.
The general ambience and the location. Conveniently situated for the Jaarbeurs and the centre. There was nothing to dislike
Good facilities, pool is small to swim in it but nicely decorated, so is good, rooms big, rather comfortable, breakfast almost perfect with good choice and service, so is worse to use it. Location is wonderful, close to everything in this city, kettle and tea in the room were nice Hotel preadvised my card for double amount of stayment (as they explain - in case I will decide to order smth in restaurant or etc. it was additional 600 eur what is big amount I think), so this looks not so good. Also restaurant located in hotel should have some preferences for guests as we failed to have a diiner in it as it was totally booked for 3 days
Location is a plus, close to the train, historical areas and shopping all within easy walking distance. The beds aren't all that comfortable.
The location is unbeatable--can safely walk everywhere from the hotel, including the train station. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. The city of Utrecht is beautiful with lots of great restaurants and shopping. Watch out for cyclists--they seem to have the right-of-way over pedestrians. No in-house store for toothpaste, etc, although shopping mall is about two blocks away. Bring an umbrella. The train station is too close for a cab, but a long walk (~2-3 city blocks) in the rain with luggage and no umbrella.
Excellent service & location. Rooms were good- sized. Jacuzzi not especially hot. Breakfast prices high.
Directions to hotel worked well for a foreign driver completely unfamiliar with Utrecht. Parking was easy and convenient. Our room was upgraded gratis as the hotel was not busy. Everything was wonderful.
This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very nicely decorated, clean and warm. A big selection of dishes for breakfast. Staff very friendly.
cetrally located, modern lobby, good breakfast the pictures show other rooms than i got (not renovated)
all paperwork ready - single signature required. Very quick and easy
No tea or Coffee facilities
Good staff, quiet easy to access city centre Poor internet and road construction
Nespresso machine in bedroom was nice. TV picture poor.Breakfast expensive.
I liked that description of the hotel fully conforms what I have found there - no surprises and that was good.
Good location Expensive parking
Location, very convenient for the train station and city centre.
The dinning room staff was very good, Good menu. The exercise facilty was disappointing. The machines were broken and old.
Great Staff, Excellent Service. Nothing
Room smartly designer Poor gym limeted equipment and equipment not working well
Computer provided with free web use in lounge
The Hotel was spotless and in the perfect location. The breakfast was outstanding every day as well. Nothing
The room was good, probably just refurbished.
The location to the Tivoli and the train station. Bad, uncomfortable experience. For starters, to get to your room you have to get through a maze that involves going through an underground connecting hallway and two elevators. The room has no AC and it doesn't even have a frigobar. There is a monitor in the room (weirdly located at an unusual angle that you cannot change, not located in front of your bed like in most normal hotels) and it only has access to YouTube, not to actual TV programs. The shower has no curtain or door so the entire bathroom floods when you take a shower. They didn't replace the soap containers when they ran out of soap so I had to ask the reception to give me refills. At one point, I asked for a bucket of ice at the reception and they looked at me like I had three heads (I'm not kidding) and suggested I should go get ice from the Kentucky Fried Chicken store next door! At check out they wanted me to pay again for my stay, when it had already been prepaid prior to my check in. Really? All this and you call yourself a 4-star hotel? I'd say you barely get 2 stars and they do not shine.
Nothing. This is a very poor value for money hotel. Bed and Bathroom were basic, facilities below average. Best comparison is that this is similar to a Travelodge but far more expensive. Bed, Bathroom, Towels, .......
Close from shopping center and city center no parking, difficult to find it
Perfect location: 5 minutes walk to the Central Station and large shopping center. Room are clean and very good breakfast Walls are to thin: one can always hear whats happening in the neighbour room. In addition it was not possible to fully close the balcony door so there were always a bit of cold wind on the floor from the balcony and noise from the street. And it would be great to add small refrigerator to the room
The hotel was very close to the central train station which was handy. The rooms are small but covers everything you would need. but the only problem was the wifi. On the website it says free wifi is available but the connection is not stable and keeps disconnecting. There are also personal hotspots available for each room for which you would need to pay (5 euros/day). Other than that in general it was ok.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A very clean and modern hotel close to the station and central to the shops, canals and the centre of Utrecht. Late honesty bar and coffee facilities just put the finishing touches to the hotel...Fab! Nothing, really lovely hotel.
Nice large room with good equipments, very clean, very good breakfast. Never accept the room #603 again: this room is just next to the hotel's waterworks, Thus, the noise of drainage is constant, all day long and all night long.
Close to downtown No parking in hotel
Spacious single room Expensive breakfast
It was a perfect choice. The decor was chic, staff friendly, and it was 'the place to be'. I ate dinner in the Sunday night and lunch in the courtyard Monday since there was a definite buzz about the place - lots of young cool locals hanging there Monday lunchtime, great vibe. Very very new, so a couple of teething problems with wireless internet on third floor (get a booster!).
Really central location, stylish design, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful bed, cleanliness, free wifi Heating system was bit complicated, unless you read the manual or consult the friendly staf
The location is excellent, the food very good, staff friendly, room very clean, design excellent! The aircon was not working properly, our room was like an oven
very nice location, staff was friendly and helpfull although the hotel was not even ready to be opened. nice terras and restaurant it was in the construction fase.... I believe they should have waited 2 more weeks before having hotel guests in.
Coffee in room and soft bed decoration, poor maintenance of room messy public areas
Nice and spacey rooms. Breakfast was excellent!
This is a brand new hotel which we recommand. It is perfectly situated near "centrum". Rooms are beautiful with a modern design. Staff is not completely trained for the moment but I think this change with a little more experience (the hotel opened one week ago..)
Comfortable and good location
Good atmosphere and in a very picturesque position. Rooms very hot and no way of cooling down due to Air Conditioning not working properly. Restaurant very busy and took over two hours to be served.
We liked our room the most, it was really good and very big. We liked everything!)
It was close to everything, comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Everything is just a short walk. Jacobikerk was a surprisingly lively gothic church right behind the hotel. The garden room had a patio in the garden that was a lovely spot for wine and cheese. The front door opened on the oudegracht canal with the under the street level warehouses that now have cozy restaurants and businesses. It's also a short walk to the mall and the train station
The location was very good. The lighting in our room was very poor and the room was cold when we first arrived - it took us some time to figure out how to work the heating. Also there was apparently a mouse in the breakfast room on one of the mornings while we were there. We didn't see it but other guests reported it to us and told us not to sit in a certain area of the breakfast room. Apparently mice are common in buildings in Utrecht as the buildings are so old, but I still didn't like it.
Location Pricing, outrageous... for a simple basic 4 star hotel. Moreover, arriving at 21.00 the kitchen was closed and no warm food was available...Every monday the kooker goes home earlier :)
Having the Ludden restaurant attached provided an excellent and convenient dining experience. Cost of the breakfast is too expensive
Cleanliness, no fuss, comfortable room near the place where I had to be. the noise from outside, but that is something that the hotel cannot help
The location is excellent fo business travellers, being adjacent to the station. The room was far too hot and had no temparature control that worked. The internet system with its passwords and codes to be retreived from the front desk was archaic and ridiculous. The in room amenities, from the nearly broken chair to the awful shower and its primitive shower curtain were very poor and archaic.
friendliness and helpful reception/bar staff
It`s small and comfortable , it has nice surroundings. There was no fridge with cold drinks in the room:)
Comfortable, well appointed hotel in a good location Bells. There are church bells all Sunday morning, not too early (starting say 9 or 10), but then continuing non-stop. It was unbelievable, like a horror movie.
They renovated the floor I stayed at, and that ment that there was a very bad smell from painting and the builders started working at 7 in the morning!
