The magnificent restoration of the old palace and the integration of the new building is just fantastic.
pleasant surprise - unfortunately an overnight stay isn't sufficient to obtain the full benefit fresh fruit juices rather than artificial
The luxurious ambience and quality of hotel furnishings. It was very modern and palatial. The rooms were spacious. We couldn't get the air conditioning to work, the room controller didn't seem to be responding (however, we couldn't be bothered ringing reception at 3:00am to find out why).
Staff was fair. Room is good for the value. The booking has double rooms but the staff will choose twin and double as customes check-in. I phoned earlier to the hotel to refer that I weanted a doble(king size bed) and by then they had them available and still they got me a twin and when I wanted to change they didn't had anymore rooms. A big minus since I phoned there to confirm this.
The calm and relaxing environment, the attentiveness of the staff, the excellent food, the elegant decoration, the spaciousness of the rooms. It should have an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
good location, clean and comfortable limited menu in restaurant
the personel was very very friendly, very nice people. The location was 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station (along the orange line) and very close to the centre (one station far from Trinidad metro station). Great place for such a price. Our room was at the entrance of the hotel, during the night, it was a bit noisy but because of the same fact, we could have internet connection (wifi) in our room. So it was fair. Breakfast was not that fancy but still good: mainly bread, cheese, ham, fruit and yoghurt with hot and cold beverages.
friendly staff, very good location no free wifi
Swimming pool in the 10th floor was nice. Good breakfast. Drinks in the room's refrigerator. Only two small details: although it was advertised that the hotel had free wi-fi, I discovered it was not free. Also, the gym was closed during the weekend (only in August). I was not expecting this.
price not a 4* hotel, restaurant is frankly bad, the noise of the gymnasium spreads over the whole hotel
It was very close to the city center. The rooms were very nice and clean
A very roomy apartment Very difficullt to find.
Good breakfastm take away option from the restaurant, large apartments apartment heated up in afternoon, outside noise due to climate machines
The restaurant was just fabiolous.
hard to find when we have never been to Leira with all the oneway streets. aircond broke down and promise to fix but didn't or couldn't. didn't warn us about the mosquitoes since we had to open the windows to let the air in due to the aircond being broken down. my 2 year old was totally swollen from the bites. couple weeks on, he still bear the lumps. it was horrible.
The hotel is beautifully placed in front of the sea and provides a magnific view over Sao Pedro de Moel beach. The room is well decorated and spacious although the bathroom might be just a bit too small. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on 1st floor provides you a wonderful and relaxed view over the seaside.
great location, nice, big modern rooms quite unfriendly, uninterested staff, both in the hotel and restaurant. poor breakfast buffet. very bright and cold lighting in the bar and restaurant.
the bedrooms were too warm and it was not possible to leave the aircon on when we were out
The splendid location and quietness.
A contemporary, crisp hotel with large confortable rooms. The view over the sea is simply amazing. Soundproofing between rooms is not particularly good.
Excellent host, very helpful, would definatley stay agian
Perfect! The restaurant it´s 5 stars like the Hotel. Very good staff and very good place
Visiting with the host No
Everything was great. The owner and staff make everybody feels like its their own home... They are always aware of little details, for example, sunday was rainning a lot and when we got out of our room there was a umbrella there on the counter waiting for us... The place itself is lovely, the presidential suite is awesome, its apart from the rest of the rooms, giving you a lots of privacy. a very good restaurant awesome and well presented food :) The best weekend I spent this year :)
very friendly owners
Nice surroundings, very quiet. Personalized and kind service.
Dinner Free internet Service above all Breakfast - Poor ( some fruits, jam, butter, bread and coffee) - we asked for eggs for two pax and we got very little.
Good friendly service in the restaurant, excellent food, house wine good. Lively, obviously appreciated locally for its food. Pleasant eating space outside by the river. Nice quiet pool. Centrally situated in the small town of Cortes for sightseeing all around, Fatima, Batalha, Leiria, Alcobça, Porto de Mos, caves etc. Well run by Rodolfo Fetal who just celebrated his 30th birthday. Will definitely go back.
Very good service, delicious restaurant, everything as beautifull as on the fotos, family buisiness. Very nice decorated and good siced rooms and bedrooms. Wireless internet free. Cover of beds not spotless clean (but that was the only bad point I could find at all! )
This was a picturesque location close to many sites, if you have a car. The service was friendly and professional. The restuarant was wonderful:great food, fantastic service and great prices. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel - excellent value for money with off season prices. Wegot a great little local meal at one of the nearby cafes - only 14 euros for 2 of us!!!!!
The whole place needs remodelling which has been planned but, apart from the staff that was nice I must admit that I did not like anything in that hotel. I was unable to have a shower because there was no hot water at all in the hotel.Besides I could not pay with my Master Card as they only accept Portuguese credit cards which I find revolting
Location no hot water when we wanted it.
The hotel staff was very helpful. They don't have wi-fi in the rooms, only the hotel lobby.
Had a great stay. The personel is really friendly and dont go shy when ya need to know something. The location is nice and quiet little town, going 1 way is the ocean, the other the town of Leiria, also worht visiting. Props to the hotel! the bus in the weekends can be a pain, its a good connection but busses dont drive frequently ( missed 1 bus, had to wait 2 hours), the rest of the week no complains
Good clean hotel with good sized rooms. Nice resturant with good food. Small bar. Very quiet town.
Well maintained establishment. Good rooms. Buffet dinner was dissapointing. Hot food was cool.
We were a group of seven, who booked four rooms on a Friday & Saturday night. We were delighted with the quality of the hotel, the friendliness of the hotel staff, both at reception and in the bar and dining area. The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner in the evening. The prices, both for accommodation and for the evening meal, were very good value for money. Nothing
15 min drive to nearest Beach.
Perfect: staff (kindly recommended me the best beaches, restaurants and places to visit), room itself, easy to reach. All the rest is just good! Will stay again and recommend to friends. Really good place to stay, not far from great beaches! Once there was no free parking, parked in front of the hotel.
We liked the location of the hotel.
Friendly staff, excellent location Old design
Overall athosphere Not enough parking
Nice Hotel and good value for money. Lifts and air conditioning nice bar and great view from the restaurant on the top floor. A good breakfast selection but the coffee was not nice. The hotel is on top of a hill, a steep walk from the town though there are bus stops nearby.
Convenient and central The 'orange' juice at breakfast - no excuse in Portugal during the orange season. The staff in the restaurant were not very welcoming and perhaps poorly trained.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be improved. The orange juice was like water.
Acceptable quality - in city center Rooms quite clean Brakfast a little poor but acceptable
friendly staff smoking in all areas, a smoke free area particularly in the resteraunt would be very welcome
Staff were very helpful & friendly, free on-site parking available, only a 10 min walk into town. Had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant with a great view of the castle. the decor of the rooms is a little dated, could do with a re-vamp.
