Pros: Great place, perfectly located in a quiet area. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again if visiting the region again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted warmly and nothing was too much trouble: bags looked after, recommendations, taxis booked! Brilliant. Nice room quiet and comfortable room with a good location.
Cons: The bathroom was poorly designed and water ran out of the bottom of the shower. The bathroom needed a bit of attention and let the otherwise ideal apartment, down a bit.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic approach of staff to hotel guests, very open and helpful. We were leaving early in the morning (5:00 am) while breakfast is normally served from 8:30 am. We were offered breakfast to the room the evening before so can have it in the morning before our departure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, where you can walk to the nearby important places to visit ...the breakfast was wonderful ....but, most of all , the amazing hospitality of Elisa and Sandra, that behaved as the “owners” of the hotel , caring and putting always an extra effort for us, (and as I could have seen, to all guests) made our stay very pleasant... We recommend this property wholeheartedly...We loved Porto ...
Cons: for those driving a car, as we did , may find Parking a problem.... this is a city’s challenge , and not the property, in special ... the hotel gave us a 50% discount in the parking place nearby, what was fine for us ...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine, location in Porto was excellent. We had a top floor apartment with a view across the river to the city, which was fantastic. Room was clean and modern. The hosts were very helpful and good fun
Cons: hard to say - I thought it was excellent. We were lucky to get the room we had - may be if we had a room with a less stunning view we might have been slightly less enthusiastic but it still would have been good

Pros: The hospitality of the family (Sarah, Lourdes and Emilio) was warm beyond our expectation. The facilities were excellent. Sarah greeted us after a 30km walk with a cold beer. Lourdes supplied us with freshly baked cakes and fresh fruit. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and condiments. We had the pool to ourselves.

Pros: Everything was wonderful. The whole place is heavenly and so well groomed it is really impressive. The cottage was really welcoming and the bed wonderful. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. The owners were extremely kind and ready to satisfy all our wishes. They put us at ease and even offered my grandson to bring a ball with him. To repeat.

Pros: Everything was special from room to courtyard. We are walking the Camino and hosts gave us ride to and from trail. 1-2 km off trail. Pool was perfect after long hot day walking. We ate in for dinner and had great soup and salad for after lunch prepared for us. Stay in and relax at property
Cons: Nada
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic kind hospitality. Even drove us to a restaurant in the evening - and picked us up afterwards! Quiet, healthy breakfast and impeccable friendly service. Clean and bright as if new (since 2017).
Cons: A few kilometres outside town, but not problematic, well connected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We walked the Camino and this place may be a bit of the trail by approx 1 km but it is easy to get back on in the morning and it is extremely worthwhile to stay. The family is welcoming and it is an extremely beautiful and peaceful place. The grounds are large and very safe. It is a must stop and stay over for anyone travelling in the area. Meals were prepared by the owner and it was fantastic
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was breathtaking, the owners are 2 of the loveliest people you could ever meet, and the room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Add a delicious Breakfast and help with travel suggestions and you've got the best place to stay in Portugal.
Cons: It was hidden behind a large gate on a suburban road so I had a moment of panic when the taxi drove away (literally my only complaint)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, very nice property. Fantastic breakfast and very nice host.
Cons: There were not many amenities within walking distance - but it does say it is rural so not complaining.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Owners provided transportation to dinner as no facility near by.
Cons: No staff on site and no honour bar to get drinks or coffee . No staff on sitt
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couto Rural is a perfect place to escape. Located in a small village only 15 km from lively Porto, it provides for a calm and relaxing stay. The cottages are very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. There is a large lawn area and and small pool. Lourdes and Emilio are extremely kind and friendly hosts, ensuring their guests have the best possible experience at Couto Rural. The continental breakfast is plentiful and of very good quality. We highly recommend Couto Rural and would stay there again.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, good breakfast
Cons: Alarm is turned on at around 24:00 in whole vila teritorry until morning, so you can't go out of your appartment. It was not an issue for us, but quite unusual thing :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely fantastic. From check in to check out there was nothing I could’ve had better. Pedro from Brazil checked us in and he recommended great spots around the city and places to avoid (eg too crowded or too touristy). The hostel was super clean, not a single breadcrumb could’ve been found. The room looked brand new like in the photos, the bathroom was clean, towels, soap, everything provided, even slippers! The breakfast felt like home, all guests sitting at the same table having conversations and the manager joined us and chatted about Portugal in comparison to other countries. It was fantastic.
Cons: There was NOTHING we didn’t like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved my staying at Hostel Gaia! Joao was extremely nice and helpful, and Pedro too! the atmosphere was always very pleasant, Joao welcomed us with a smile even though it was late at night, he always gave us the help and all the info we needed, breakfast was always excellent...what else!? :) The place is very near to all the wine bars on the river side in Gaia, same for the bridge, you only need to walk up for about 5 minutes. Porto side is about 20-30 minutes walk, depending how far you want to go. All in all, amazing experience! Thank you sooo much and see you again soon!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfort of the private room and the kitchen facilities. Upstairs rooftop open veranda with grass. Joao the owner is cool and passionate about hosting.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic rooms, lovely breakfast with homemade apple and cinnamon cake. Terrace upstairs is wonderful and the view is fantastic. Wonderful place, definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast and friendly staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome. Fantastic host giving very useful information about places worth seeing, restaurants worth visiting. Great breakfast. Room very cosy, clean, with great atmosphre. You can sit on outside, upsatirs garden.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hostel Gaia Porto can be a Hostel but it easily compared to a good hotel. The facilities are great and the staff is fantastic! It is located 5 minutes away from the best view at the Douro river. We received cake and Port wine when checking in! The breakfast is eaten on a single table, which creates coziness among the residents.
Cons: We stayed at Hostel Gaia Porto during hot days in June, so our room was a bit warm. This situation was easily resolved with a fan. The road outside of the Hostel is build with stones, like the old days, so the cars make some noise when passing by.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The typical hostel, pretty much ok. Plus it has several garden terraces giving a very nice panoramic view! The hostel is pretty clean and has very pleasant staff.
Cons: But the dorm room was too noisy to allow sleeping, considering there's no air conditioning so it was too hot, there's a balcony door so constantly hearing any noise from the street. The room door was constantly open, so getting light and noises from the stairs. The shared restrooms are extremely squeezed so they cannot realistically accommodate more than one person at the time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean + very kind people!

Pros: Walking distance to the city center, the room I got was very beautiful and comfortable, they even had Netflix for after a long day outside.
Cons: Nothing that I did not like, but I would recommend bringing slippers or some flip flops at least for not hot seasons as the floor is pretty cold (beautiful but cold).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The excellent welcome by Fernando and his daughter and wife. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its was perfect for what i wanted. It was very clean and in a fantastic location. The residents were very kind and welcoming. I will choose this property again when i revisit.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, was just perfect for Sandra's training in Porto while within 50m of Metro for me to go visit Porto. The owner kindly upgraded us to a room with private bathroom after realizing we made a booking of a room with shared bathroom (I did not realized it was the case when I made the booking). Pierre
Cons: Could have had more electric plugs availability in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The entire process (from check-in to check-out) was amazing. The staff is friendly and ready to help at any time. The GuestHouse is close to the metro station so it is easy to get to the City Center.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: I think this hostel is high rated because the house is beautiful and clean, but nothing else. The price does not worth it. A guest house for the price of a hotel?
Cons: 1. The services describes 24 h deskfront. It is false. We had to wait more than 1 hour in front of the hostel. After a call to the property, the person in charge said she would come in 15 mn. She took 40. She didn't even apologized in person. 2. The property describes a parking service. Once in the place, the women argued "it was not possible to provide a car for all the clients", announcing a car parking outside. (city payment). THERE IS NO PARKING SERVICE. Only for the owner. 3. The room description before the booking payment said "room has views". FALSE. NO VIEW, other than the wall of the building 3 m in front. The women argued we have access to a common terrace of the building! (Not accessible from the room). 4. So,The information provided in the booking moment is not real or true. The service is bad. The women was not helpful, not accepting our comments, (she even suggested to cancel the booking and to go out!!!). We are paying the price of a higher standart room for a place where there is no service, you can not enter the hotel- hostel, and the services are not the same. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEE a kind of service like this and FALSE INFORMATION for the client.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house, especially the bathroom, were very clean! Everything was well looked after and you could tell the staff took pride in the house and their guests comfort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Guesthouse is very beautiful and the guest very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and private bathroom are a nice size with a private balcony. The host allows guests to use the kitchen and to store food in the fridge and freezer. Best to leave your car in their very nice parking and take the Metro in to Porto: it is only 100 M away and take ~15 minutes to the Center of town (excellent value at 1.4euro/trip)
Cons: There is a dog a few door down that like to bark continuously! It would be nice if the owners of the Guesthouse would speak to him/her to tell them it is disturbing to guests at night.
4.6 Okay
Cons: When I arrived nobody was there. Had to wait some time. Next day there was no water. Nobody there. Also no cleaning. No apologies. Never again! The rooms as modern as they are are cold and not comfortable.
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy to park, enough space, facility to get to the centre
Cons: The shower, wifi did not work, no water first morning which was fixed fast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the owner is very nice and the room and bathtoom are very confortable and clean. At 10 minutes from Porto dowtown!

7.5 Good
Pros: The Hotel staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome right at the check-in. Breakfast offered a good assortment of options. It's centralized location made it easy for us to move around with ease.
Cons: We stayed in a duplex suite which was very spacious and perfect to accommodate our family. I noticed however there were places that were somewhat dark because it didn't have its own light fixture such as the shower/bath cubicle as well as the stairway in the 1st floor. Beyond this the suite was perfect with a breathtaking 180 view overlooking the city and the sea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my stay, it is clean , staff are cooperative and polite, helped me a lot . I would recommend this place for my friends and for next visit to Porto enshaallah.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are the best, like really the best. Could not find an open restaurant late night, they tried to arrange for delivery did not work, I just gave up, was sitting out smoking when they came to me with a snack that arranged by them out of courtesy , that was so kind.
Cons: Nothing major, all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived on my birthday which was noted on our arrival by the staff. We were offered a complementary drink at the bar, a nice touch. The staff were helpful at all times, calling a taxi when we needed one.

Cons: Needs renovation.
6.7 Good
Pros: breakfast was good, but staff seem uninterested in bringing coffee, had to ask everyday.
Cons: staff at breakfast were average. one guy was excellent, but most of them made you f el like they were doing you a favour if you asked for coffee. Also the place seems to cater for groups of loud arrogant French pigs, so you’ve been warned...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic, really really helpful. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice and large variety of fresh fruits. Lunch and dinner was also very nice. The shower was really powerful, rooms cleaned daily, whole hotel is kept very clean and also has amazing facilities spa, indoor and outdoor pool, tennis court, gym, park, volleyball, coffee shop and salon. Espinho and porto not to far to travel to. Although weather wasn't very good during our stay, the hotel, porto city and the beach which is right next to the hotel, were beautiful.
Cons: There was no tea/coffee facilities in our room and the balcony is very small. Also a flannel and conditioner would have been nice but thats being fussy :)

7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel is good.
Cons: Check in Staff is not helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staffs were really friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in at noon, also they have prepared breakfast box for my check out day as I was booked the room with breakfast included but my flight was too early to have them. I really impressed with their assistance.
Cons: Nothing .
6.3 Good
Cons: The staff were not friendly. The receptionists never said "hello" or never smiled at people when they were passing. It was odd to me as I saw all receptionists try to be polite and friendly in other hotels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good Mercure Standard. Tea coffee facilities in the room. Water from minibar 3 euro per bottle. toiletteries. Good breakfast, worth paying extra money for it. This place has amazing staff all very friendly and beautiful. They are ready to answer all your questions and give assistance with a smile. They always say “bom dia/boa tarde” to you before you do.
Cons: Well my dislike is very relative. If you don’t like walking you will need a taxi to get anywhere because the closest metro station to the hotel is Casa da Musica over the river. If you would like to walk to the port wine distilleries it would take you 30 min ( through a charming Portuguese town of Vila Gaia ) or 1 hr to Clerigos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was quite comfy.
Cons: I was hoping to have an iron and iron board in the bedroom
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast and car parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is central to everyone and everything we want to visit. It is always clean and a friendly place to stay. Rui and Jose are absolutely wonderful.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn’t like. I always stay here and will be returning
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was in this hotel in a busy night and the bar/restaurant was full of people but the staff leader Manuel Dias was the star of the night. Calmly, sympathetically and professionally handled everything and everyone as if you were in a five star hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: The breakfast as there was no variety which is the spice of life. The location as the hotel is quite far from the city centre though it is well served by public transport.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome staff, always Keen to help. Delicious breakfast that you can enjoy inside the hotel or in a little garden they have. Besides difficult access for public transportation, the place is only 30 minutes by walk to the city center, this walk next to the Douro is magical, both day and night the environment is just awesome.
Cons: Location is quite difficult if you want to use public transportation. However, you can go by walk along the Douro river to the city center meanwhile you're enjoying the magnificent view.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Dog friendly, close to highway but still not far away from old city center. Clean rooms, not big but not small; just enough. Nice and variety breakfast.
Cons: Quite big amount of money for a dog per day...15€.....could be less.....but still happy for accepting dogs
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was nice and cleaned thoroughly every day.
Cons: Breakfast selection wasn’t great. There needs to be more variety and hot food for breakfast. The tv language options and not being able to contact to services such as smart tv or connect an iPad. The room was quite small especially for a twin room and the view from the room wasn’t great, overlooks the car park. The hotel doesn’t have universal sockets for plugs which would be really useful and also having more than 1 on either side of the beds would have helped a great deal.
7.1 Good
Pros: Was a clean room.
Cons: There was no view. The food was very processed. Not fresh ingredients. Bed a little small.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating. The facility is clean and bright. Breakfast had many choices! The beds were very comfortable!
Cons: The room was a little smaller than I thought from the pictures, but it was adequate for a one-night stay.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, nice staff. Easy check in and out. Excellent shower.
Cons: Slightly hard beds. Small lifts if you are claustrophobic, and can get noisy in individual corridors due to building design.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms very neat with balconies and air conditioned. Very good service. Friendly and helpful owner keen on feedback. Breakfast here was a perfect start of our day. Clip Hotel is located 100 m from Metro station which will take You to the heart of the town within less than 15 minutes. No problems with parking around the hotel (public parking). Hotel offered parking places of its own which i had no chance to use. To sum it up - highly recommendable for all those with demands and at a reasonable price.
Cons: everything was fine
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was perfect! Always nice and giving great tips of Vila Nova de Gaia and also Porto.
Cons: The Internet connection was horrible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind, always wearing a smile. The metro was very near and in 10 minutes you can reach the center. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Surely one of the best hotel experience I had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast and location, near metro station
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was ok. Hotel is close to the Metro station. Breakfast was ok. Nearby there are several restaurants and a Shopping Mall. We had dinner at CARPA restaurant which is a Portuguese restaurant and the food was very good and tasty. The service was also ok.
Cons: The price is a little bit high for this type hotel and location. It was not very easy to find a parking space on the nearby streets. Nothing to complain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gem for travelers to Porto - I write this after my second stay there. The location is great - you walk down the hill towards Porto and you are at the eiffel-bridge with the tram going over. El Corte Ingles is very close. The hotel itself is great - not fancy, but very clean, very comfortable, really helpful and genuine staff. I would recommend paying for the breakfast when you book the room, it is very good value, and better than I had at 'smart' hotels in Porto. Also one tip, if you are traveling by train get off at Gaia-Devasas which is closer and a small station and take a taxi, avoiding the mayhem at the main Porto stations. Also, the open top tour buses have a stop really close by, if that is interesting to you (its how we spotted the hotel in the first place).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast; easily acessed by public transport; very clean; nice staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Just outside the city with very easy access to the metro line that goes straight into downtown Porto. Great location and facilities would stay here again!

Pros: Sissa (funccionada) was terrific. Made it like home for me.

7.9 Good
Pros: Two. Bedrooms
Cons: No hot water nor fridge available.
7.9 Good
Pros: Personnel was very kind and English speaking. Cleaning was more than expected and found the room cleaned every day with fresh clean towels. Parking was free close to the apartment. In a few minutes you are at the beach. To the other side of the road there is a nice bar/pastry where you can enjoy a good and cheap breakfast.
Cons: The beds were very hard to sleep on. The apartment was without any appliance like a waterboiler to make a coffee or tea. The bathroom was without a glass. No chair/table on the balcony. In general OK but without any extras I would expect.
7.9 Good
Pros: A lot of space in apartament. Very close to the beach, market and bakery.
Cons: The furniture is very old and oldfashioned. Strange situation with kitchen - only refrigerator and electric kettle availble. Very noisy at night- due to a localisation next to main road.

8.6 Excellent (106 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is really good and my room had a beautiful view over Porto. The staff are friendly and helpful. My stay was incredible value for money - the 4-bed dorm had a clean bathroom (good water pressure), a kitchen with spare cutlery and a fridge, a large social area and the beds. It’s the best hostel I have been to!
Cons: There is some construction work nearby and work starts at 8 am (workdays only). Can’t really do much about it, but I spent some of the money I saved staying at this property to buy earplugs and that worked out well.

Pros: It is very clean and the staff is wonderful!!

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast is great. Nice pool and kid's park. Good bed and overal room conditions. Good lobby with xBox kinect entertainment. Friendly/professional staff.
Cons: The surroundings of the hotel are not nice. The room could be bigger.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the food was very good, the staff very helpful and, the swimming pool was good to cool down in, it also had a secure car park well lite at night,
7.9 Good
Pros: Good variety for breakfast, especially like the fruit platter. Nice to have an outdoor pool so we had the options to chill by the pool side or by the beach.
Cons: Unfortunately it is a little bit out of town, although taxi to the wine cellars in Gaia only cost €3-5, and city centre €5-10 but you'll need taxi as public transport will not take you there directly. Hotel is well maintained but it is old and therefore carpet and furniture look a bit dated. I stayed on the 4th floor which looks like it had been partially rejuvenated (newer bathroom but still old thinned carpet) compared to my cousin's room on 2nd floor!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice and clean. The pool was good size and clean. Service was excellent. Always get a smile and they are genuinely ready to help you with everything. Amazing holiday. The kids loved it.
Cons: I liked everything about the place

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff awesome location You got it all here down to the breakfast a must stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place is great, probably one of the best stays we had. The suite was amazing (I asked for a specific one and they were happy to provide it). Aside from breathtaking view of Porto, the room itself had really cool design, we even had a turntable with some vintage records in the room. The breakfast was excellent too.
Cons: We've got a recommendation from a girl at the reception for a restaurant in the city - the place was great (Thank you!). In the evening we decided to go out for dinner at George restaurant which is in the same Sandeman building, using the discount voucher provided by the hotel. I wish we went to the first place again, food at George was quite disappointing. Nothing to do with the hotel though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: facilities were incredibly good
Cons: I expected view but my room did not have one. just the view from the lounge is nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most beautiful hostel I’ve ever been to. Staff was super helpful with my extra lugage and offered to store a part of it at the reception. Breakfast with an amazing view at the city. Shared female dorm room was really clean and quiet, comfy and cute beds! I was sad I only stayed 1 night! Would recommend to everyone!
Cons: Bedside lamps were really powerful so it would lit up a big part of the room, I think these could be more subtle so it doesnt wake up others
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous staff, excellent location and very good rooms and public spaces. A special thank you for the birthday gift!
Cons: Relatively expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The stuff was super friendly! Loved the room as well and the location is awesome. Will come back for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly, helpful staff. Stylish hostel and private rooms. Lovely bedroom/bathroom with amazing views (be sure to ask for a room with balcony). Comfortable bed. Stair lift for those with mobility problems. Breakfast was terrific, and if staying in a private room (rather than hostel bed) the presentation was beautiful. Location was superb - I would definitely stay here again. Really nice mix of fellow guests, too.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hostel with beautiful facilities situated at an amazing location with the best view of Porto. Super big and comfortable beds. Very clean facilities. Great staff always present to help. Good breakfast. I recommend booking a wine tour in their cellar and a boat tour to see the 6 bridges!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design, location and the team are things which make it perfect. Young people serving at a hostel are v friendly, open and helpful. The rooms are huge and you do not hear the neighbors at night. For 14 beds room there are 4 full size bathrooms which are v clean. The location is fantastic. 10 minutes walk to the center and at the same time you are a bit aside to overlook the city. The terrace bar and restaurant George meet all expectations. Breakfast is well enough and you may order additional dishes for small charge.
Cons: Wish to be cheaper )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtakingly beautiful- a must stay for your Portugal travels

10.0 Excellent
Pros: By far the best service offered by any of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in. All front house staff were fully uniformed, well spoken and incredibly professional. On arrival our little girl was given a welcome teddy bear which was a nice touch. A tour was given of the hotel, with the receptionist being very knowledgeable. A concierge was also on hand who organised a superb tour of Porto in a replica Ford Model T. The restaurant really went above and beyond, with an incredibly child friendly atmosphere, the most comfortable high chairs I have ever seen, children's cutlery at breakfast and by far the best breakfast of all of the 5 star hotels during our trip. The bar staff offered an incredibly well synchronised table service and were very pleasant to chat to. By far the best table service I have every experienced. The whole hotel is spacious and well sized, the rooms do not disappoint in this area. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a pillow service on offer. The bathroom was a good size and the soap was also a very good quality. The view must be one of the best, overlooking Porto (however cranes did spoil this during our visit). It would be a pleasure to stay here again. One of the only hotels on our tour of Portugal to offer an iron and ironing board when requested!
Cons: The rooms were incredibly clean however we did spot a little dust. Tiny little touches to the furnishing were lacking such as a missing knob on the sliding door lock, and a non-soft close toilet (anybody who has one at home will understand the awkwardness of the SLAM when you let go of one that is not). I did also find an empty bottle of port in the topiary to the side of our terrace. Tiny little details, perhaps over analysing, but the rest of the service was so incredibly well delivered, to such a high standard, that this minor lack of attention to detail did let the side down a little.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful quiet location with lovely view. Excellent facilities. Best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel! Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Rather a long walk to and from room to facilities. Sunlight never reached our balcony and if I stayed again, I would be sure to specify that our balcony had sunlight.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was our second time staying at The Yeatman because we loved it so much the first time. We got an upgrade to a superior room with panoramic view through booking.com which really made a big difference. The hotel is wonderful and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The hotel has one of the best views in Europe, and the pool and the bar are fantastic. Very good breakfast too.
Cons: The restaurant is not great value and the menu for both lunch and dinner are average. Also it felt like they had cut staff at breakfast so you have to go and pick up your own cappuccino and omelettes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and was a buffet with some hot dishes cooked to order. Lots of fresh fruit, breads, cereals, juices etc. However the real star is the ability to have your breakfast outside on the very large restaurant balcony with its stunning view over Porto. I cannot think of a better way to start the day than to have a relaxing breakfast on that balcony
Cons: I cannot think of anything that I didn't like. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the location of the Hotel is excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and service
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just amazing! I want to go back here, the views, staff, room were all impeccable.
Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food, beautiful rooms
Cons: The bar pours were ridiculously small for the price of drinks. $188 for 7 drinks!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from all of the rooms is beautiful. Evening drinks on the patio overlooking city was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was excellent
Cons: Service could have been a little better on the patio
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent beds, breakfast, dinner, staff
Cons: Had a problem with hot water in bathroom, it was never more than Luke warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you step on to the property The Yeatman does not disappoint. The property itself is divine, but it’s the quality of service and the amazing staff that will bring us back time and time again.
Cons: What didn’t we like? When it was time to check out. Most definitely could have stayed on longer if we didn’t have a pressing engagement.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: excellent and attentive service
Cons: far from the centre , very small pool within a giant cimpkex
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The facilities are world class and the food was sensational. The views were breathtaking it was a shame about the cranes.
Cons: Breakfast staff were slow at times to respond and we had to wait 20 minutes for coffee despite me asking several times.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is very close to ribeira and 15 minutes to old town by walk. Moreover bus station is just 1 minute, tram station 6 minute from the hostel.
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean hostel. Comfortable, big beds. Nice personel- remember to check-in before 19h00. :) Kettle to make a coffe or tea. Shared but very clean bathrooms. 5 mimnutes from the Generał Torres train station!
Cons: It's very noisy because of the street, soundproof windows help a bit.. There is no shop in the closest neighborhood.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice lobby with TV and books, really clean.
Cons: No place to eat something. No cabinet in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, tidy room, bathroom also clean. Nothing more to wish from a hostel. I was a little bit surprised that you don't meet anyone on the reception. To check in, you have to call somebody, whose number you receive when booking. The person tells you everything you have to know on the phone. The first time I had something like that. But ok, it worked.
Cons: The room was next to a loud street, so it is hard to sleep at night with windows open.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, allowed me to gain access when arriving late and do the official check in proceedings the next day. Very helpful and friendly at the site
Cons: Nothing to dislike
5.4 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bedroom Security and flexibility is great
Cons: Shared bathroom should have more privacy Location is good, but lacks parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Near the City, nice personal
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location can't be better, you can choose to go either up or down to find yourself at the bottom of the Ponte Luis or on top. The room was really spacious and neat with comfy beds and nice fixtures. Would definitely book again
Cons: The rooms overlooking the street could have air-conditioning. If you don't close the windows it's too loud to have a sound sleep, if you do, it gets stuffy. The fan doesn't help. Pay attention to check-in time - once you're late, your reservation gets cancelled
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hostel. The room looked more like hotel room not hostel room. Totally recomend it!

Pros: Lovely place, super close the river and nice restaurants. Great view. Beds and bathrooms are modern and super clean. I had to call the staff a couple of times with queries outside of reception hours. They answered promptly and were very helpful. Breakfast was nice (delicious castel de nata!).
Cons: all pretty good really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, 1 minute walk to the river and all the port wine cellars. 10 minute walk to the Porto side, 5 minutes to the cable car. Houskeeper very friendly and helpful and has very good english.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice design! Very good location
Cons: Thin doors so extremely noisy rooms
9.4 Excellent
Pros: This small guesthouse was excellent in so many ways. Fantastic location -- close to riverfront, numerous port wine cellars and tours, restaurants, and shops. Friendly, helpful staff made me feel at home the moment I walked in the door. Loved my room -- bright, nicely updated, very comfortable bed...and a big shower with space to move around, a real plus for larger people! Air conditioning was a welcome treat, and wifi worked like a charm. It all felt like luxury to me, but at a very reasonable price.
Cons: Stairs were loud and I heard everyone going up and coming down, could have used some carpeting. Plenty of fresh clean towels, but I would like to have had a washcloth.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and the gust house was all I expected. Breakfast were adequate and it was a relaxed environment in every sense.
Cons: There was nothing I disliked about my stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, 1 minute from wine cellars. Rooms are small, but well equipped and nicely furnitured with the space possibilities. We stayed at the top floor, where we had some view to the river douro. This place is good value for many at a great location. Would recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, absolutely kind and cozy. Staff was very pleasant.
Cons: One coffee machine in all apartment house, in ground floor, so if you are living in third floor and would like to drink coffee in the bed, you should climb back with coffee cup upstairs:))
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was clean and the AC worked properly. The staff was very friendly and nice.
Cons: There were no electric plugs near the bed. The bed had two mismatch pillows: one too soft, the other too hard. There is no elevator so I would have had to climb two flights of stairs with my luggage, being 8 months pregnant, had I arrived alone, because the reception was already closed when we arrived. The rooms didn’t have curtains, just blackouts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a really good location. Walking distance from the restaurants. Launderette is just next to the guesthouse. The room is very clean, comfy bed and with a nice bathroom. Diogo is very helpful as we did a late check in. Made things easier to get in to the place.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was good :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to everything. Really nice room Nice shower
Cons: Seethrough glass wall between room and a toilet was a bit weird for me
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely guest house this was. Lovely personal attention on arrival, with a good and detailed explanation of the area and where to go, this accompanied with a glass of local port wine! They could do with a lift as the 3rd and 4th floor might be too much for some guests. Breakfast was excellent!
