6.3 Good
Pros: Reception staff professional and helpful. Especially lady on Monday 13 th January am. Broke my foot. She gave me a office chair with wheels to get to breakfast. ! Used her iniative. Evening receptionist swopped our room to disabled very kind. However evening bar staff were a disgrace. Waited ages to order bar food and drinks. A lady eventually took our order. Then nothing. No body poured a glass of wine or a beer whilst we were waiting. We were in the bar an hour and a half. Nothing. We asked a younger man to serve us no. Batman arrived. He refused to serve us. So we cancelled and went to the Ibis served with drinks in 5 minutes. Food in 10 mins. Pleasant efficient staff at ibis. Ate there 3 nights. Snacks given with drinks. Polite. On last night as I had broken my foot helped me to sit stand up etc. will stay there in future. And less expensive !!
Cons: As above

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best sea view!
Cons: Nothing to say. Everything alright.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location by the sea. Excellent restaurant.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice food in restaurant
Cons: the choice and the food in breakfast are very poor. It seems that the eggs and beans were served for the 3rd day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size room, large tv with lots of English, decent furniture but old , good size pool but musty smell in areas
Cons: Breakfast could have more choices, hallway carpets need cleaning
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice
Cons: Where to begin... the place is old and run down, not clean. Room was musty smelling. Room 201 is next to elevator and noisy. Street traffic is noisy. No way is this 4 star, more like 2 star.
7.5 Good
Pros: On the beach - large room
Cons: Enclosed balcony
4.2 Okay
Pros: The room was big and hd sea view.
Cons: I have mentioned on a mesaage that I would like to pre-order a cake for my husband’s birthday and is a surprise... so on arrival at reception first question after I paid the room was(in front of my husband)” when do you want to bring the cake before or after dinner?” Obviously I tries to pretend that I did not understand the question but my husband knew what is “ the surprise”... anyway that was minor comparing to when changed the towels the cleaners left only one towel in the room and never came back to bring more. The heating wasn’t working and was lots of dust as after first day experience we did not let the cleaners to “clean” the room. But the major problem was the “ SPA” were is too much called spa, first of all the lasy on reception let us changed and than informed us we need to buy from hotel reception if we want to swim head cap, well agree with thet but why all these rules were not advertised before so future clients could make a plan, therefore we said ok we don’t have those can we use the jacuzzi or steam room, obviously they were not working... so basic for a wanna be 4 stars hotel with “spa” I woudn’t give more than 3 for the room and view. Was very dissapointing esspecialy because was a very special occasion in my husband birthday so we wanted the spa... but next time I will take in consideration more previous reviews. Also at breakfast my husband found hair in scrumbled eggs twice...so other big surprise.. for a big birthday. Overall very poor quality for a Golden Tulip Hotel, and please don’t advertise you have spa if ia not working....for 4 days..(our time there)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the sea - gorgeous view from our sun room.
Cons: All good

6.0 Good
Cons: Didn't have toothbrush kit not a body cream and only add one bottle of water in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing , close walking to the sea. The food outstanding very kind staff felt home if it wasn’t for the check out :) . I strongly recommend a relaxing massage with Manuela . A guide for the visit of Porto ( 3 hours) . Don’t forget your swimming suit even in winter they have an indoor swimming pool !
Cons: The beds and the covers they should swap for duvets instead of Blankets . Also for spa resort they should have a partnership with a organic brand for their toiletries . In the display we didn’t have hair conditionner sewing kit and shampoo . Make sure you bring some with you . For the hair dryer the reception can provide a professional one :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and staff were wonderful.
Cons: There is NO reason that a high end spa and wellness center should have a smoking room in the middle of the lobby, bar, and restaurant. It was very unpleasant to step out of the elevator and be hit with smoke.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. The staff, the food, the environment.
Cons: there was nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great ocean view from most of the rooms that have a balcony. Very quiet and calm. Great place to relax thanks to well functioning amenities and services. Direct exit from the hotel to the ocean and beach promenade. Free spacious private parking in front of the hotel. Overall, you will get reasonably priced upper-class hotel. Perfect for relaxation after busy sightseeing day in Porto. Also worth spending a day inside without leaving hotel area.
Cons: If you don't have a car getting to the hotel and back to the Porto will be a problem. Food selection during the breakfast is rather limited, and was the same all days of our stay. Also, don't waste time on nearby village: construction works are ongoing throughout the town, most business are closed, only one descent coffee place and one good restaurant are available.
Ibis Budget Porto Gaia - Vila Nova de Gaia - Building

Cons: No hair dryer in the room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Price, free parking, breakfast, nice staff.
Cons: Location - one hour from Lisbon by feet, interior.
7.4 Good
Cons: i understand that with the budget concept the hotel does not put shampoo in each room. Shampoo should be available by request or for a euro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful and everywhere was clean and bright. The breakfast is good value for money but please don’t make the croissants, bowls or spoons any smaller. It felt like we were eating cereal with a teaspoon. The car park was safe and easily accessible for our large van which is a big plus for us and our dogs!!
Cons: We stay in Ibis hotels all over Europe, a lot of them Budget style We felt this room, whilst having everything we needed, was smaller than the others we have been in. There’s a theme developing here lol!! However we will remain loyal customers as they are always the best value for money, have great staff and are clean and comfortable!!!
6.0 Good
Pros: The honestly of the design, functionality and services that the room and hotel has, all in line with what it is promoted on the booking website. The person in reception was very professional and helpful and the breakfast buffet with a fair range of options. I like as well the flexibility period allow to have the breakfast, longer than in another hotels so it is good to avoid gather all the clients at the same time and to avoid to get up very early if you do not want to miss the breakfast.
Cons: The room was in line with the pictures and the description on the booking website, so very functional. The problem is that the room was noisy, not sure due showers or the heating system or due I was in the wrong area (first floor) but it made complicated to get sleep properly. The location was farer than I initially thought as I had to go to work to the centre of Oporto (around la Casa da Bolsa) so I needed to take taxis as it is not a walking distance.

Especially since I have a rental when traveling in the country having a parking garage is important (but all plenty of off street parking available) and only a 6 Euro Uber ride into the city.
5.4 Okay

6.0 Good
Pros: room very small
Cons: food at restaurant bad
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really clean , and bed very comfortable in nice modern setting
Cons: I couldn't draw curtains in my room without people inside and smoking outside telesales company were able to see right in my room that seemed open 24 hrs ,but I couldn't fault anything else
4.0 Okay
Cons: The breakfast options are very limited. I am vegan and I could only eat a bowl of mixed fruit and some chocolate pastries, which I in general avoid as I have diabetes. My friends with a normal diet were also very disappointed in the cold breakfast.. No omelettes, meat options etc, just a few slices of cheese, salami ,ham, boiled eggs and fruit yogurts. The rooms are super small. There are no wardrobes in the rooms. We were jumping over suitcases to get from one side of the bed to the other. No kettle. No iron. Each person got only one towel for use- which meant no special towel for the face and hands. No surface to put away clothes in the bathroom when showering. Plus, the payment process was a problem for us because the hotel apparently takes the money from the credit card before the arrival even though it said "pay at the hotel", but then requests for the card in person to confirm the money withdrawal. For our group of friends, not everyone stayed the same amount of days, and my friends had to pay AGAIN using a different card! All the card details are on booking.com and any kind of transaction is possible without the physical presence of it! We have been traveling each month for the past couple of years and this is the first time this happened! I was staying in Ibis in London and I didn't have this problem.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff
Cons: no comments
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great place for our family to stay. We've been to Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia before, but we always stayed on the Porto side during previous trips, so it was fun to stay in Gaia this time and have a different perspective. It was a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the river, and the metro was right in front of the hotel if we had wanted to take that instead of walk. El Corte Ingles is right across the street from the hotel if you're interested in shopping or eating there. There is street parking available one street over (pay as you go), as well as Clip Hotel's own hotel parking available for 8€ a day (need to arrange this when you check in). Breakfast was busy but well-stocked. The staff at reception are very friendly and accommodating; it was a pleasure to meet them.
Cons: I asked for gluten-free bread at breakfast, but couldn't have it as it was frozen and they would have needed time to defrost it. I hadn't known that so it was a surprise. So I recommend that if you need gluten-free products, tell reception a day ahead so it can be ready for you the next morning. But overall a great stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice.
Cons: Very thin walls and they started cleaning around 7 am. You can hear everything. The first room they gave us was not clean. Towels on the floor and the bed was not made. The air conditioning was not powerful enough to make the room warm.
6.8 Good
Pros: Buena limpieza y buen desayuno. Camas muy comodas.
Cons: Habitacion muy pequeñas dificil de moverse en ella.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was cool and comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very friendly host. Good communication and fast answers. We come back again!
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts, quick check-in, well located and spacious apartment with really comfortable bed! My room had a lovely balcony (in summer it can be especially cute). The room's furniture needs a bit more forethought - in my opinion it great to have some space for putting your clothes during the stay (some hangers as a minimum).
Cons: Kitchen equipment was good, but the kitchen itself needs more attention (only one working burner on the cooking stove, the oven didn't work during our stay, but it was great teamwork with other couple, trying to "awake" it :)). Sharing bathroom was sometimes a bit inconvenient (especially when one of two bathrooms was partly nonfunctional).
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s very quite
Cons: It’s quite and with big room space
6.7 Good
Pros: The host was very nice and explained us how everything is working. It was also easy to contact with him through WhatsApp and he was very quickly replying to my messages on booking.com. There is a nice balcony in the apartment where you can sit and eat breakfast or dinner.
Cons: It’s a nice place to stay but for the price of the hostel a few Facilities are missing. There is a moist on the ceiling of one of the bathrooms. In the kitchen only one hob was working out of 4, a little lack of the kitchen equipment ( only one pan, no strainer etc..) no hairdryer,no mirror in the room ( just in bathrooms so quite troublesome when someone is there or you need to use mirror for a bit longer). It would be nice if there was a fan in the room as ours was very stuffy and in the summer heat it was just impossible to sleep. The area is ok, you can get to the center of the city by bus but if you need some grocery shopping the closest supermarket is half an hour walk as all the small shops around are closing very early.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value, the shared bathrooms were not an issue at all and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was really clean and it was great to have a refrigerator to keep a few things cold.

Pros: The best breakfast I've ever had in any hotel anywhere ! The views from the breakfast room (The Orangerie) are superb; Dick's Bar provides an excellent variety of wines for all budgets and the staff are really knowledgeable about what they serve. Staying at The Yateman is an experience in itself - staying at the hotel is like staying in an art gallery. Staff are friendly - and the whole experience cannot be faulted.
Cons: The only minor gripe - and it's one that applies to hotels worldwide - is that the plugs in the sinks in the bathroom don't stop the water from draining away... meaning that in order to shave properly in the morning, you have to (wastefully) leave the water running. But it's such a minor point, it's hardly worth mentioning.

Pros: From the moment you step on to the property The Yeatman does not disappoint. The property itself is divine, but it’s the quality of service and the amazing staff that will bring us back time and time again.
Cons: What didn’t we like? When it was time to check out. Most definitely could have stayed on longer if we didn’t have a pressing engagement.

Pros: One of the best hostel Ive ever experienced, and you must book this hostel if you are planning to trip Porto. It’s literally located right in front of Douro River, which means you can see the beautiful views every single time. Location was great, facility was nice and clean, especially staffs were awesome!
Cons: No cons at all. Even if there is, the Douro River view covers that con.

Pros: Great location with a great view on the buzzing old town. The dormitory bed big and comfy, very good positioned up and down, what enables also space privacy, 3 nice bathrooms (in dormitory of 16), plenty of space in the room. Super nice and helpful stuff. Good vibes of the hostel.
Cons: I missed vegetables at breakfast (served to cheese and ham) - for example cherry tomatos, paprika, olives etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a picture-perfect view of Porto from our balcony. The hotel is in close proximity to major attractions on both sides of the Duero. The Sandeman wine cellar tour and the bar downstairs (The George) were also highlights of our trip.
Cons: Breakfast was a little so so, but still good.
