Pros: Breakfast was excellent, plentiful, varied and of great quality. Pleasantly surprised to be offered eggs cooked to order - a great omelette! Nothing was too much trouble for our host Pierre. On arrival we were offered drinks in the garden which was delightful and an opportunity to get to know our host and meet other guests. Village was lovely, nice meal in local restaurant. Fab wine from local cave. Overall a wonderful stay and we would definitely return. Pierre was an excellent host.
Cons: Would have been good to have glasses and perhaps some bottled water in the room. A fan in the room would perhaps be a good addition.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent to explore the Burgundy area, breakfast was served with a welcoming smile and very delicious with Pierre sharing all his homemade jams. Terrific room size and cleanliness.
Cons: no AC, and no mini refrigerator in the room. Pillows need to be updated.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in a beautiful quiet French village close to the start of the cycle event I travelled for. Room was clean and very spacious with modern decor (although no TV). The owners, Lotte and Wouter were both very friendly and helpful and the home cooked evening meals were fantastic. An earlier breakfast was also provided on the day of the cycle event. If I returned the area I would definitely stay again.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The small pool in the garden was a treat after a long ride! Wouter makes excellent coffee and cappuccino for breakfast. Wouter & Lotte did a great job on the place. We would gladly come back. The wine list at dinner is like one you would expect in a restaurant. NB: wine is not included in the dinner price. The hosts like sharing dinner (homemade food) with their guests, which creates a very enjoyable atmosphere.
Cons: Dinner was good, but it would have been nice if the wine had been included in the dinner price, like in other tables d'hotes, although we understand that, being a certified sommelier, Wouter prefers to offer a nice wine list ;-). Portions were a little bit on the small side. The possibility of an encore would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: -Very warm welcome by the Dutch owners. -huge comfortable room with a wonderful view across the vineyards. -delicious breakfast. -great recommendation to buy wine at the local cooperative in Aze.

Cons: The meal we had was exceptional but comes at a price. We were interrupted twice in our room shortly after booking in, once by receptionist showing someone else to our room (By mistake) Then by the Director showing three men around the hotel my wife was having a nap but could have been very intrusive and they didn’t even apologise.

Pros: Incredible castle located in the heart of Burgundy. Historical monument where modernism perfectly harmonize with the ancient. Apartment was like the work of art, very large and comfortable. Stuff - open and helpful. Golf club reachable in just 5 minutes. The price is more than adequate, because for us, it was more than just a hotel, the spirit lives there. Thank you for making our holidays more special as well as this beautiful region . PS. The castle vine is perfect :)

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our host was very accommodating on our late arrival
7.1 Good
Pros: A lot of love and care has been put into this hotel. The rooms are stylish and the bed was perfect to sleep in. Everything looked lovely. Dinner was great except for the mix up on the wine and they forgot the butter for the bread. As said in other reviews, this place has a lot of potential. At the moment it does not live up to the price we paid but with improvements on service related topics I.e. languages, attention to detail, Mr Frédéric Carrion focussing on his passion for cooking and getting a good hostess on staff. I believe this place could really start living up to the dream it originally was born from.
Cons: My expectations of a 4 star hotel were not met. The only language spoken was French. Although the spaces were clean, the crockery, cutlery and accoutrements were not. At afternoon drinks, I indicated that I was gluten intolerant (not allergic). It was as if they had never heard of it, and they did not carry any gluten free bread. Which is not in itself an issue. But no alternatives were offered. For breakfast (which was a bit disappointing), a huge bowl of bread, croissants and pain au chocolate. A plate with a couple of slices of ham and cheese, some butter and jam. A bowl of a sliced banana. A pot of coffee water, tea and instant orange juice (not fresh). No eggs, other fruits or meats and of course, I could not enjoy the bread which left me with little to eat. So got some gluten free bread from the car, found a broken and really dirty toaster and toasted my bread. We didn't ask for help and none was offered. Mr Frédéric Carrion checked us in, showed us the room, served us afternoon drinks, did the mis en place for dinner, served and cleared the tables at dinner, served breakfast, and checked us out. I can see he is very passionate about his hotel and restaurant, and he had a lovely smile. However, running this place on your own with a skeleton staff, who I felt did not have the knowledge and education to live up to the expectations of a 4 star hotel and a Michelin connotation is what makes it not work.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late one Sunday afternoon and parked for free just outside the hotel. The gentleman who greeted us was pleasant and friendly and we soon had our key for a corner room on the second floor. The room had an art decor feel to it. There was essentially a double bed, TV and kettle for making instant coffee and tea. There was also one bottle of water. The bathroom area had a very good walk in shower and there were plenty of good quality white towels. WiFi was free and worked well - we needed to get a separate password for each device requiring internet connectivity. All in all, not a bad place but off the beaten track and not ideal for a father/son combination looking for a comfortable room for the night and the proximity to "normal", decently priced dining facilities..
Cons: On checking in we were asked if we would be staying for dinner there. I asked to see the menu and decided that it was far too sophisticated for a father travelling with his teenage son. And paying the best part of 100€ for a set dinner without drinks was far too steep for me. Our room rate was reasonable but didn't include breakfast. We decided to skip that and got something "on the road". Oh, as we were travelling with our dog that cost us 15,00€ extra.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: The room was badly decorated with wall paper coming apart, carpet not fitted properly leaving unsightly gaps, dust in crevices, the dressing gown had someone else’s bogey stuck to it so hadn’t been washed from previous use. The corridors were dark and drab, we were the only couple in the restaurant on a Friday night and the food was appalling and very expensive for food that was terrible. Never written a bad review before but felt i needed to share.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very good restaurant, nice location
Cons: Very expensive dinner. Price ratio is not 100% OK comparing to other very good restaurants in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome and staff team, the individuality of the room, the attention to detail, the food and cuisine, the location
Cons: Nothing, a great stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor, gorgeous room and superb food
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was an excellent cuisine in a comfortable enviroment.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely boutique hotel in the countryside. I was surprised at some negative reviews saying the decor was odd; it was a perfectly nice, quirky boutique hotel with a lovely, spacious bedroom and good bathroom. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very high quality with some inventive food combinations. The host was very friendly. We didn’t stay for breakfast but I’m sure it would have been delicious. (And again, no one pressed us to take breakfast, unlike some reviewers claims)
Cons: Nothing really. There was no one at reception when we arrived, and we shouted for a while but no one came, so I phoned the hotel on my mobile and someone arrived straightaway. Hey, it’s a small hotel and it was a very very hot Sunday afternoon! The wines were quite expensive by the glass.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel in a lively village. Breakfast was great and the team is very helpful and lovely.

Cons: We couldn't check in before 17:00, so we had to drive to Pont-de-Vaux to find a place to wait until the reception was open. Also, the beds were good, but a bit hard, but I guess that is a matter of preference.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful small chateau, with a nice terrace. Breakfast was good, diner excellent but expensive. Same for drinks such as beer and wine: very good but a bit too expensive.
Cons: The noise from the cars on a road nearby
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property with good facilities
Cons: Some traffic noise during rush hours
5.4 Okay
Pros: This was our fourth time returning to this place on our way to the south of France. Its brilliantly located for us and the food is lovely….but…
Cons: ….in all honesty, and in comparison to the Chateau we stoped off on our way back, that is similarly priced I really don’t think you get value for money here. The basic room was not really very nice and to be honest for the money we paid I would have expected much better, because I know for the same price one can get much better. The food is lovely, don’t get me wrong, but the menu hasn’t changed much from last year and for the cost of the meal I just question if one gets value for money. The breakfast for the money was a joke though. The thing that has kept us coming back has been the location in relation to the rest of our journey, but we have both been left thinking after this year that sadly we will have to find an alternative for our journey to the south next year.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was v comfortable and everything was clean. Close to motorway but you couldn’t hear it.
Cons: The price of dinner. It was good but not good enough to command the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and quit setting. Excellent breakfast and an absolutely superb dinner booked our second day there. We were too tired the day of our arrival and just had a glass of wine and a snack on the beautiful terrace. All the staff were knowledge, helpful and enthusiastic in all our interactions with them.
Cons: Nothing negative at all to say. We stayed only two nights, but A longer stay would not be excessive.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Location good. Maybe ok for a stopover. The restaurant seemed popular and the welcome was warm.
Cons: The bathroom was inadequate and the taps excessively difficult to turn on and off, often getting stuck. No shower curtain or holder. The toilet runs eternally. A lack of windows and very uncomfortable mattresses. Strange wiring of lights so when I switched one light off, another came on like some sort of psychological experiment. Needs investment.
