The pool is nice, the service was good, the location is ok. Way too loud and I was told that I should have expected the noisy drunk people outside my door for 2 hours every morning when the bars let out because it's the weekend. I wouldn't stay here unless you like frat parties.
Great staff, location, and layout!! The shower was our only issue. The temperature was either scolding hot or ice cold. Made showering very uncomfortable.
Convenient location, great room, comfortable bed, good restaurant for breakfast, nice bar. Would stay again! You can hear the music from sixth street on Friday nights-but you're in Austin right?
Nice place. Great rooftop pool! Some things in this place didn't quite work as intended. However management was quick to resolve the issue.
It was extremely loud with guests partying until all hours and loudness outside.
Good if you're traveling for business. Facilities are just okay.
Woke up at 2 am to find the hallway full of cops evicting the couple opposite our room. Manager wasn't very apologetic for the disturbance.
Miguel Dubose was very accommodating when I called needing to let my fiancé check in before I myself was able to arrive. Our cleaning lady was very friendly and when I asked for a fan for the room she made it happen. Our server Fransico was very personable and friendly. Hmmm where do I start? Pictures online associated with the Omni downtown are pretty deceiving. The television in our room had a terrible picture. None of the hdmi ports worked or would even register that anything had been plugged into them. The AC in our room was useless. The coldest the room would get was 74 degrees. The unit would allow you to go as low as 60 degrees but the room never got below 74 and that was at 2-4am by the time it would cool to 74. We couldn't sleep or was so hot in the room. I called the front desk twice and they told me they would send an engineer to access the problem. He never arrived. Once I asked our cleaning lady she brought me a small fan. But at that point something was better than nothing. We could hear the entire conversation of the guests in the room next to us. The mattress are quite firm. Not that big of a deal. But the fact of not being able to sleep due to being sweaty and sticky was very annoying. Not once did anyone ask us if we would like to move to a different room. Maybe one where the AC actually worked worth a flip. The safe in our room was malfunicationing and would not open. Spent ten minutes trying to get into our room safe to remove my belongings. We live in Dallas and have never had an issue at the omni Dallas. But I will say that I will not stay at the omni in Austin again!
The Omni is in an excellent location! Concierge staff and bellmen are terribly rude. They were having personal conversations and disregarded guests. The double beds were not queen size beds so they're small and uncodortable.
Bed Room service (quick) View Heater did not work they gave us a portable heater and could not fix the heater. The days we stayed were cold so the portable heater was used but really didnt like having to do that extra work have having to make sure to turn it off before heading out.
Our shower flooded and my husband's side of the mattress had what seemed like a broken spring or hole that sank down very deep. Our mini fridge was warm, nothing inside was cold or even cool. The light was on but it wasn't working. The Internet was $9.99 a day and then it didn't even work! I called for help twice, the first time they transferred my call to an offsite wifi support line - not helpful. The second time they were very rude and said they would be sending up engineers. We waited for 1.5 hours before giving up as they never showed up. If you can't help us that would be one thing, but don't say you'll help and then not show up! We left the next morning for another hotel that didn't feel outdated and had better service, better mattresses, and free internet.
I enjoyed the scenery with all the extra amenities! We were grateful for not having to go out on the town and place ourselves in a precarious situation! The local restaurant and bar greatly satisfied our pleasures! The comfort and relaxing atmosphere of our room made it for a romantic night! We highly recommend your facility and plan to make more future stays at your location! Thank you for exceeding our expectations !
Great gym/workout facility Very comfortable room Love the full length windows and light Great location Charge $$$ for wifi Noise from the street was surprisingly loud, even on the 30th floor
Everything! Beautiful room, beautiful city, excellent location.
The JW is centrally located to the Austin downtown area and many trendy restaurants and bars were within walking distance. In addition, the room, staff and on-site restaurants were excellent. When I spend that amount of money for a nightly accommodation, WiFi and Internet need to be a part of the package.
Very new and nice hotel. Very big hotel that has hundreds of people in the lobby at a given time. Never had a bad stay there and service is good. But always feel like I am a convention when I stay there.
I liked how friendly the staff was. The entire place is super clean and nice. Accessible to many great restaurants and 6th st. Also there's a lake only two blocks away! The only reason why I didn't give it a five stars rating is because the entrance to the parking lot is so busy. They only had one entrance and unless you valet you were waiting to get into the garage. On the upside the wait was less than 7 minutes. Also the pool bar needs more kore bartenders. The pool attendees were really nice once you flag them down for attention.
Rooms very average...In addition it was very noisy, could hear everything going on opening/closing of doors.. etc.
The location was awesome, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, the room was clean and had an amazing view of downtown. Overall it was perfect for a couple of girlfriends and I to getaway and explore austin. One thing that I didn't like was that the pool was extremely crowded every day and night that we were there. There was barely room to get IN the pool (you were pretty much shoulder to shoulder in there) let alone find a chair to relax on because they were all taken. We were really excited about the pool too but turns out it wasn't so relaxing. That's my only complaint tho, this hotel was amazing so I can't blame everyone wanting to be there and to enjoy the pool as well.
When we checked in there was a candy wrapper on floor, pieces of trash in closet and a small piece on bathroom floor. I had to call housekeeping to clean our room Saturday after 4:30 pm. They didn't wipe the tops of bedside tables that needed it. Parking service was a nightmare. Long wait times.
I really enjoyed staying here, the city view rooms were excellent and the lobby had a few restaurants and a bar that had excellent service. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking fees
Rooms were great better than average. Staff very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms didn't have fans and there was no fridge or microwave in room. Also thought parking was too expensive
Great comfortable furnishings, beautiful view, helpful friendly staff small rooms
I was placed in a recently upgraded room. Fit and finish was very modern, very clean, and comfortable for my 5 night stay. Restaurant and room service was very good. The location of the hotel was great. Directly next to Congress St. Bridge (bat bridge), pretty cool If you get a chance to check it out. The hotel sits directly on the recreation trail circling Lady Bird Lake, this was a great place to go for a walk or run. A quick walk across the bridge also put you in the core of downtown with lots of restaurant choices, Austin city limits, etc. The workout facility was also very nice and open 24 hours/ day. Overall great hotel and would stay again. Only reccomedation would be to have the simple sundries store open 24 hrs./ Day providing acces to snacks , medicines, etc. this would be a nice convenience and seems viable that it could be staffed by one of the night desk attendants as it is located right at the front desk anyway. Other than that, great stay.
Great location and the outdoor patio was wonderful. Giving you a bottle of water every night was nice. The bed squeaks pretty bad so it must be very old and there isn't any water pressure in the shower.
Everything was great Staff was very friendly and helpful Our room was awesome and so was the view. Definitely coming back !! Only a couple small things that I would have to say was the sink was plugged due to the little mount in the drain was disconnected, but they fixed it right away which was great !! And there was food left behind by the previous guests in our small fridge it's ok no biggie
Beautiful hotel. Within walking distance to downtown, Lady Bird Johnson and Congress. We normally stay at another hotel on the lake but after a negative experience we chose to stay here. We will be booking here from now on.
Seemed very clean, friendly staff, great dining recommendations. Expected more for the price. Self park was not clear it was a charge until check out. Hotel drinks were pricey.
Location was good. A walk to downtown and south congress. Tv was broken, couldn't watch it. The bathroom was old feeling. Not what you would expect for $300/night.
Room was filthy when we first came in, beer bottle caps on the floor, bathroom amenities were all used half empty bottles ( lotions, shampoo and conditioner ).
The room was a nice size also great view The lights were dim in the room. Definitely needs better lighting.
Location Expensive overnight parking.
Location on 6th street was unmatched, excellent service as should be expected The room i was in wasnt worth the price paid, even though location couldnt be better.
Great food menu with healthy choices. Friendly staff. Nice tall ceilings in room. Great location. Nice decor for the holidays.
The valet was torn up with construction. The lobby and hallways literally smelt like a sewer. The mezzanine was stacked with old furniture. The once famous bar was loud noisy and also smelt like a sewer. The bathroom had chipped paint and a cracked floor length mirror. There was no counter space in the bathroom. The glass top furniture had dried paint drops on top from lack of a drop cloth.
The staff, at every level, were responsive and had amazing attitudes. Very well done.
We had a wonderful stay at the driskill. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We were staying for my birthday and web we arrived they had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne delivered to the room.
What a great stay! The staff was helpful and friendly from start to finish. It was like taking a step back in time without having to give up any modern conveniences. The price is worth all the little details.
The hotel decor and ambiance is very nicely done, makes you feel like you are in the midst of royalty. The bed is very comfortable. The service is excellent, we needed a few extra things since my wife wanted to celebrate my birthday. The bakery downstairs made a real good cake. The location of the hotel is great, it is right in the middle of the nightlife of Austin and makes going bar hopping or clubbing that much easier, cant imagine a better location. The elevator floor tiles were duck taped on which was odd. The room is a little small by texas standards but ok by NY standards. There is a surprising number fo bums on the streets outside, just ignore them and be on your own way, if you are from NYC you'll be fine but even otherwise nothing to be alarmed of. A bit pricey.
Had massive character and charm. Gorgeous lobby. Bar always always had a nice vibe. There was an old musty odor in the bar and lobby. Reminded me of an old basement. Parking was $40/day.
beautiful location in the middle of the city. Rooms are beautiful and very romantic.
Bed was amazing, architecture was beautiful, right in the heart of 6th street entertainment district Had issues with Valet parking service on two separate occasions. Normally I wouldn't mind, but when I have to pay for parking at a nightly rate then I expect service to match.
Beautiful historic hotel. Great staff. Great central location. Food was amazing in Cafe and at the Grill. Dog friendly (they have doggie concierge kits with bed, bowls, treats and poop bags). The petite rooms really are petite, so be aware of that when you book, but in all honestly, you're only there to sleep and shower so it's definitely not a deal breaker.
We were bump We were bumped from our paid booking. Wanted two beds. 60 year old had to sleep on roll away. Not happy. On the bright side the room was clean and nice lobby.
The room was spacious and clean. The balcony was nice and the facilites were in a good location. Didn't have a mini fridge or microwave
Hotel was clean and staff friendly The rooms and bathrooms are tired and outdated.
The staff was very accommodating and made the experience more enjoyable The hotel bar was a bit expensive.
Pool, lobby bar were nice Nice staff Air conditioned Had to pay to get WiFi access in the room
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool is beautiful! We had to turn the air down to 65 in order to be comfortable at night.
Nice and clean Staff not so friendly
We had a non smoking room however it was across from the stairwell and someone was smoking in the stairwell which made the hall outside our room smell of smoke along with our room which then caused repertory problems for myself and my daughter. The highway traffic noise is awful!!! Also we thought the Wi-Fi was complimentary but then they charged us for it. Outside of those things it was fine but two were huge negatives for us.
Nice people I did not like that every amenity in the room had a price tag. Looks like they are desperate for a buck here and there. They did not even have a complementary coffee pot to make your own coffee in the morning. This is not an exclusive hotel, I would say this hotel is a none inclusive hotel.
My prepaid room wasn't available when I arrived. The night manager gave me a voucher for a less expensive hotel nearby and the business card of a manager that I could talk to later. Really poor way to treat a guest who had already paid and had a room gurantee. And, I never got a refund for my prepaid room.
Pros: - Great first impression with the lobby and facility appearance - The heated pool that is both outside and inside is awesome, along with the hot tub, sauna, and robes waiting for u in the rooms. Cons: - Day 1 I was staying in a premium room, cuddling with my girlfriend and saw a bug crawling in and out of the fire alarm (I've never told my gf this bc she woulda been freaked out and I woulda lost romance points, and she woulda been mad at me if she finds out I didn't tell her). And I couldn't get up to kill it without her noticing bc she was laying on me. - Day 2 I requested a standard room to "save a couple bucks" (get out of the room with bugs), and the next morning around 8am my gf and I were both naked in bed (I was already awake) and someone was talking to a friend, opened our door without knocking, noticed we were in there, then they stopped talking and quickly left. (Thank goodness my gf is a heavy sleeper!) I spoke with the manager about this and he checked who came into the room and he told me it was just the cleaning people. I honestly was expecting some kind of offer of a discount on my stays, or some kind of special discount on any future stay, but I got nothing. I liked the pool and stuff, but the hotel basics that were kinda messed up (for me) when it comes to comfort, were a little disappointing. If you aren't scared of the bug thing, or the random people coming into your room without notice then u'll be fine.
The best thing about the hotel is that it had a clean, comfortable bed. Next would be proximity to 6th street... a short drivable distance. Plenty of things to dislike about this hotel. I'll start with the most obvious. This hotel is extremely outdated and could use a ton of renovations. The "bar" is a joke and the restaurant looked like an old Dennys. There's no way I'd ever have a reception here... very old and unflattering ball rooms if you can call them that. I personally wouldn't even hold a conference there. Bathrooms were outdated, pool was ok, jacuzzi is the size of my home tub... no thanks. It also had some weird foamy substance floating at the top which totally squashed any desire I had to swim. All in all, pretty disappointing for the money.
Big room with living room and kitchen. Good speed wifi included and breakfast was very healthy and tasty. The rooms are getting a little old, stove and fridge were very old.
The only 2 things I liked were: 1) Very friendly staff during the daytime (not so much at night time) 2) Great breakfast buffet Many things I didn't like: 1) Room was very dirty, in need of thorough cleaning 2) Room was very damaged, in need of repair 3) Room was very old and dingy, in need of remodeling 4) Room had terrible lighting 5) Room had very inaccessible power outlets 6) Night staff was very curt (day staff was excellent though) 7) There were a couple power outages during my stay (i will reserve partial judgement on this one item, as I understand it might not have been completely in the hotel's control) 8) There were several internet outages and intermittent interruptions in service throughout my stay. This was extremely frustrating as I had important work to do over the internet and this made it very difficult and at times impossible. 9) The guests above me were making crazy noise at all hours of the night. i mean as late as 4am. I am not usually someone to complain about noise, but this was seriously like stomping and jumping and slamming constantly through the night. I asked the front desk to do something about it, but it didn't seem to stop the problem.
The property was very comfortable and quiet with lots of trees, plants, and birds. The lobby was nice as was the breakfast and happy hour. We also appreciated having a full kitchen and separate living room. It was only a 10 minute drive to downtown Austin and was certainly a great value. The fixtures, wallpaper, etc were a bit outdated and in need of repair. Also, the surrounding area was rundown with a nearby abandoned mall and strip mall. It was strange pulling into the complex, but we weren't bothered by it once we were in the room.
Wonderful breakfast and friendly staff Had to bring in housekeeping for toilet after minimal use, although they were very prompt. Limited hot water for shower.
Clean rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff. All necessary amenities fulfilled quite well. Location is a bit odd for out of towner, not a nice area but the site itself is quite nice. Rooms were quiet even when noisy outside. Lighting in rooms could have been better. A fan in each room maybe. Also some simple furniture updates. Nothing else
Beautiful grounds and very nice and simple suites.
The lady who ran the breakfast was very nice and accommodating I got this room as a "deal" for 125 because it had good reviews. There was hair in the bathtub, food on the cutting board, and a dirty towel folded near the sink. There were appliances, but they were extremely old and yellowed with age, and the carpet was just disgusting. I literally did not walk around barefoot the entire time I was there. The bed was comfy, but there were only sheets on the bed and no blanket, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. I resigned to just deal with it, as I was only there for the night and didn't want the inconvenience of switching rooms when it was probably just as poorly cleaned, but the extra charges put me over the edge. I am more than familiar with having a card kept on file for incidentals, but this place places a $100 hold on your account for 4+ days. It may be in the terms somewhere, but it wasn't stated to me ahead of time, and with how awful the room was to begin with, I am annoyed to say the least. Don't waste your money.
the staff, the way we were treated, and the peacefulness of the place. nasty carpets (needed steam cleaning or replacement), leaking bathtub, cockroaches, and cobwebs on the windows.
Very close to sixth street and convenient if you want to go out for a night on the town. Beds and rooms were very clean. Would def recommend to anyone or stay there again.
I just stayed in a hotel in California that was in need of updates. Once I stayed here in Austin, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on what was missing in that last hotel. The appointments were very modern, and there were USB ports everywhere. The lighting was all intelligently integrated, with functions that turned every light on from the door way, or just the entry, or a night light in the bathroom. The bathroom was very nice, not too big, not too small. I noticed that it had been impeccably up kept and that there wasn't damage from mold or anything like that. It's close to everything you want to do in downtown austin, though if you're looking for a run around or along the lake, you might be better off driving there. The lobby was under construction, but that's not really a big deal. I'm assuming that most facilities have to look like that if they are going to modernize.
the proximity to 6th street
They deleted my cc on file and charged my debit card twice
Nice room Never received a wake up call
Free breakfast at Exsecutive Floor When check-in, rate of room charge are mininput higer.
Loved the new rooms and the pool was quite nice. Wish it didn't cost me so much
The renovations on the main hotel level were unexpected and, when done, will no doubt be places to see and be seen...this trip though, could be provided at a discount.
The staff was extremely helpful and alert to guests needs. It was an amazing hotel in an amazing city!
Hotel was nice, close to everything, view from 19th floor was really nice facing 6th street. Nice fridge in the room and room was comfortable. Parking was easy although pricey. was a nice stay Don't want to be overly negative here as I had a good stay, however couple things I like to point out. Movies are expensive to rent from on-demand most people probably won't, but 20 bucks seems high to me. (This unfortunately left a bad taste) Although there was nothing to say which line is for Honors members, if your not an Honors member and get in a long line to check in and that line happens to be for Honors members expect some Hilton person to look disgusted and call you out in front of everyone and divert you to another line like a red headed step-child. Basically if you stay at Hilton you better be an Honors member or your just some poor trash that needs to stay clear of the decent upstanding Honors members.
Great rooms and perfect location Staff was incredibly rude and continually incompetent
Super comfortable, helpful staff, close to EVERYTHING! Also, the room service was great. Try the tacos at 3am!
The aesthetics, restaurant, staff and amenities were excellent. The bed was so comfortable! The only problems were that the shower took literally 20 minutes to get hot, (10 to just get warm) and I realized in the morning that I could hear every single person in the nearby rooms and out in the hall, clear as day. So if you are concerned about privacy, or don't want to hear what your neighbors are doing, you might want to go somewhere else. Otherwise, the place was wonderful.
The hotel is beautiful and well designed. Staff was friendly. "Wine hour" was fun, and very popular the night we were there. Bikes are free to rent and a great way to travel around the neighborhood. Upsold to "lake view" room where you can really only see a sliver of the lake. It should be called "pool view" and on the weekend we stayed, the "pool view" is not relaxing or romantic. The rooms aren't quiet, you can hear everything that happens in the hallway. Valet was expensive ($36 + tip in Austin!) and slow due to volume of folks checking out. Cars are parked in an uncovered lot across the street.
The bar /pool area and restaurant were cool. Very cool crowd If you stay close to Rainey street be prepared not to sleep- clubs and bars from down below will keep you up-music was very loud.
Chatty & friendly at check-in, popping cold beers to welcome us. 3 Public Bikes waiting for us in lobby so we could explore Austin. Guy pumped up the tires for us. Around corner to great bars on Rainey Street. Friendly folks. Just a perfect short stay. Nothing.
excellent staff it was hard to get used to no shower door, but workable.
The view in our room overlooked the lake & it was simply gorgeous! The staff was very friendly and very attentive. We brought our dog & she was the star of the show. They provided a dog bed & food bowls for her. The beds were so comfortable! Our bathrooms got clogged twice (not by any extra doing on our part). And our refrigerator never got cold so leftovers had to get thrown away from our dinner earlier that day. Geraldine's gets pretty packed at night, at least inside & there's one fireplace outside we tried to huddle around to keep warm.
Friendly, courteous staff. Not too far from UT Austin. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good location.
great LOCATION, BEAUTIFUL ROOMS
Room AC didn't cool like it should. Set it on 63 at night and it was still warm in the room
Wonderful hotel. Definitely a luxury stay. Is it my imagination, or does it seem hotels give "discount bookers" their 2nd rate rooms? It's hard to imagine this hotel having a bad room, but a few small things were bothersome. And always farthest from doors, elevators, etc.
The food was good, glass elevator was quaint and location convenient. Sleeping on a cot. Being lied to about keys to concierge lounge. Dirty pool and spa. Building was old.
Great location. Only one attendant on duty while checking in and checking out. We checked in early and checked out early and both times we had to wait in line. Great value. Please continue.
the cleaniness of the hotel and the wonderful resturant the staff was very friendly!!but the young men at the front door to service you on arrival were courteous and very professional no
the staff were very helpful and polite, the property is beautiful.
Staff very responsive to needs
Great value for the money in terms of the room, service, amenities, and especially the location. We don't stay anywhere else when we come to Austin.
Efficient, nicely appointed rooms, friendly people. Nothing
This was my first time to Austin and it was amazing! Hotel was very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful with everything! I arrived late in the evening and loved that I got an email from the Hotel Concierge to confirm my arrival!
VERY comfortable bed and pillows! The staff was very nice and professional. I was visiting my daughter who lives on campus so it was great to be so close.
The location was excellent. Easy to get around Austin from the location and very relaxing with good service and staff. The fee for parking was the only thing that I exerienced at the hotel that I did not like. Fourteen dollars per day was excessive in my opinion.
Walk ability around campus to attend commencement, sleek yet warm. No complementary earplugs, People's conversations passing by would echo down hallway throughout the night.
Centrally located, nice & clean Currently the construction in town is a bit challenging.
Location and friendliness of staff Very pricey.
Loved the grounds, location, view, setting. Room was nice - I'd say better than most. Had a balcony room overlooking the lake. Grounds are beautiful. Generally very relaxing. You feel like you're in a secluded resort. Breakfast buffet was very great too. Hearing the toilet flushing above us all night. The staff was nice, don't get me wrong, but there was a "cavalier" attitude. Pool wasn't cleaned up until 15 minutes before closing. Towels & used cups everywhere. Tables at the pool were dirty, room service trays left in the halls for hours, things like that. $25 resort fee when the Internet didn't work at the pool. Staff said it had been out for quite a while Drunks from the wedding party yelling making enjoying the firepit a bit of a challenge
So nice...kids loved the pool and slide. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. Rooms were great! Everything was really so nice. Thank you.
Computer system was down and staff was unprepared to handle it. Multiple interruptions to our room
The Hotel staff was great. Charlie gave us a free upgrade to the lakeside view. Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Nothing
The rooms were nice. Comfy beds. Nice shower. Friendly staff. Pool has broken built in toys in kiddy area. Lots of gravel in splash pool. Had a drink with my husband that the waiter talked us into and was awful. Wanted a hot tub for all of us to go in. Grounds looked unkept off the concrete slab by pool area dirt patches.
Pools were awesome. Rooms were large. Only 1 restaurant. Location nice for waterfront or golf, but out of the way for anything else. If you want food after 10pm you have to drive. Adult pool closes at same time as children pool (11pm), Hot tub has same hours. On last night appr 1130pm very loud group of "21 y/o's" in hallway, staff did nothing. Saw them later in lobby, still loud.
location was amazing restaurant was mediocre at best, service was very slow and they double charged us and it took over a week to fix...
So close to everything great location n very clean Can't say there was anything I was unhappy with
This has been one the best pet friendly hotels I've stayed at so far. Our room had a shared yard for the pups which we really enjoyed during potty time. A/C was a bit noisy
Beautiful hotel Very comfortable room Free airport shuttle Would have liked free coffee
The location and staff are great. The facilities are under construction that results in an annoyance and hit and miss with rooms and floors.
Front desk staff and housekeeping very friendly. Room was clean and neat. Nice size TV. Only spent one night so I didn't have much experience with all aspects of hotel. Heat/air unit is old fashioned wall unit. Not sure why there is a wall thermostat. Ran heat to warm room and unit was a bit noisy but it worked well. Same with bath air vent that ran when lights were on.
A bottle of champagne or wine a lil more romantic vibe would've been great especially since we're from out of town celebrating New Years Eve
Staff was super friendly and incredibly helpful. They also upgraded me for free! No free breakfast.
I liked the decor of the hotel: pictures of musicians and even autographed guitars. The room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet. I slept well. The free shuttle to the airport was a pleasant surprise and I used it. The driver was friendly and I enjoyed conversing with him. I was very disappointed in the customer service when I accidentally left my cell phone charger in the room when I checked out. I started calling the day I checked out (Friday) and also called on Saturday and Sunday and finally got word on Monday that my charger was not found, even though I reported on the exact location of the unit!
Nice facility well located close to all the entertainment and dining.
The tv channels and remote not easy - small frame picture in bigger tv screen- just annoying. Never had that problem before. Prefer upper floors to second floor.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's far from downtown Austin. You will need to rent a car. Certain areas of the hotel were underconstruction.
Location and price N/a
We enjoyed the central SoCo location. It was a perfect trip
Very comfortable beds, and a-c/climate control, nice breakfast and nice bar next door for a tasty meal. Internet access and pool. Not the greatest location and a car or cab is needed for those visiting without wheels.
Location Hotel shows age...needs a big refresh.
nice pool, but we came later, so couldn´t enjoy; guite simple breakfast
Clean and updated rooms with a friendly staff. Great stay for the price. A little confusions get to get to hotel room
It was easy to get to and close to major attractions of Austin. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was hair on the surround and in the drain of the bathtub. The towels smelled stale and the bed linens of one bed were wrinkled as to indicate someone had been either sitting or lying on the bed after it had been "cleaned" and prepared for my arrival. Although cleanliness is not everything, it certainly trumps everything else.
Room is quipped with coffee maker and refridgerator
Location was very close to down town and many other points of interests The elevators were tiny.
Location, price, pretty good breakfast
Location was convenient Boomed a king room on Kayak, was put in a room, with 2 twins, went back to the desk, after some explanations, was put in a queen room, with a discount
That there was a restaurant attached to the Inn, which made it very convenient for us.
I had a meeting near the capital and this hotel fit my budget. I took a back way that was faster than getting on I-35. Hotel has a nice appearance, room and bed was good, no complaints. The breakfast was average with a decent selection (powdered eggs) but the nice part was it's in the restaurant with plenty of room. It's tough to get to because of where it's situated (one-way roads).
Service and location They have not completed updating yet and our room heater didn't heat well.
Friendly Staff, Amazing Location
The hotel was nice and located right downtown. We walked everywhere all week long. The infinity pool was wonderful, though it was crowded the last couple days of our stay. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. We were on the top (12th) floor and even so, the traffic noise is loud all night, every night. There were many sirens and loud cars/trucks.
The location, the staff and the lobby, restaurant and bar decor. The mold all over the shower. Absolutely disgusting!
The people were really nice and helpful I would have been great to know about the bat bridge and other things to do in Austin when checking in. Almost a poster or something to give more detail. Really liked the location and the staff was stellar!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Radisson Hotel Austin - it was very convenient for walking to the shops and restaurants on South Congress, as well as, the sites around 6th Street. Also, extremely easy access to I35. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Parking not included
The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good close to the convention center.
Check-in process was very fast & easy Staff was nice Location was great Really disappointed by the inability to have a late check-out on a Sunday.
I enjoyed the location very central. The hallway had better air conditioning. I paid 300+ a night and my room was never cooler than the hallway. King suite and the AC barely worked. Looked like the filter was only changed on a yearly basis.
Unfriendly staff, Broken elevator Charged my for dinner rolls when they forgot to put them in my to go bag that I was taking to my room
The location is prime for downtown shopping and events and the hotel even hosts a great restaurant and cafe if you never wanted to leave. The hotel seemed old, in need of some refurbishing and the carpet in the room was stained.
The staff were very quick to help with anything we needed. After searching the vending machines on our floor and those above and below us for bottled water, we called down to the front desk to ask where we could find some to purchase, and they immediately had four bottles sent up at no charge, which arrived quicker than I'd have thought the elevators would allow. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. I have back problems, and the bed, though a pillowtop, had springs that were easily felt through the mattress top. The pillows were fine down, but far too soft to provide any support--though I'll be the first to admit, I'm picky about my pillows.
Hotel was very comfortable. It is within walking distance to major attractions in Austin. Yet the price was very competitive. I have enjoyed the stay despite some critique of construction going on. It didn't bother me a bit. Strongly recommended.
The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff were very accomodating. The rooms were wonderfully spacious and clean so absolutely no complaints there. I would probably never again stay at a hotel under construction for the amount of money I paid. I had no idea the extent of the construction before and while booking. It had elevators non functioning and we had to use service elevators at one point it was just odd. I could have stayed at a five star for the price I paid minus the construction.
It was near the Capitol and many good restaurants. We especially enjoyed Maria at the coffee/snack counter who had our coffee poured when we appeared in the morning. She was delightful. The staff was exceptionally accommodating. Overall, it was a good stay. Easy parking for vehicles but there is a daily charge, less if you self-park. We were there five nights; two of those nights the room was not cleaned. The first time, we mentioned it. When it happened again the second night we were pretty vocal about our frustration and dissatisfaction. The room did get cleaned the following day but it was our last night there. At checkout they did offer a discount and apologized.
Terribly loud street music till midnight. Very thin walls.
Parking is $20, this was not on the listing when I paid for room. My room was next to elevators, bottle water was in the room w/ a hidden fee of $3.50/bottle, the light in bathroom worked only some of the time, and the following morning when I went to my vehicle to leave, there were beer bottles around my truck and urine stains on the concrete, also, next to my truck. My overall experience was terrible, I would never consider staying here again.
Loved the room and how clean it is. The breakfast buffet was great. Parking could be a little cheaper...but overall it's a great hotel . Vents in the bathroom would be nice. But everything was really great.
room size and bed I didn't like paying an additional $23 to park at the hotel. No mini fridge and no microwaves in the rooms. I did not like paying $3.50 for bottled water in the room. No exhaust fan in the bath room. Very hard water.
Staff was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable, wi-fi was strong. Would have liked to have a mini-fridge in room. Hotel was overrun by high school children. They were loud, and made simple things like using the elevators/ice machine miserable. I fully understand that this was not the Hotel's fault.
The butt sniffers at the front desk wouldn't allow me to check in since I am only 20 and 10 months (not 21), even though it was prepaid and they had my card on file. I had to get a friend to come cosign the room with me to be able to claim it... Total ridiculousness and they could have been more accommodating.
Decent room, close to the activities on 6th st Kept up the last night by roudy people in nearby rooms.
Horrible stay overall given that this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel which it is NOT. It has one outdoor pool which is off the other side of the hotel and barely heated for our stay. Spa also terrible with no whirlpool, sauna. Only a small steam room in each locker room. Room and view were nice in downtown Austin, but that is about it. No tennis courts nor golf and only 3 or 4 spa treatment rooms. Gym area pointless with only a few treadmills and free weights. Will not stay again given price and lack of amenities. How is this 5 star??? not a typical four seasons for sure!!
The charm and the location. The bar was also fun and lively. Rooms were a little dated.
I was somewhat disapointed in my stay at Four Seasons Austin. I expected it to be a wow hotel and it was just nice. Very expensive when there were lots of other good places nearby for less. the hotel charged for wi-fi, come on ! You could get it for free at coffee shops now. Cheap! Up graded to balcony room on river view side, you could only stand on balcony! No chair or table, no room for one! What was the point? Staff was friendly, everyone in Austin was friendly. room was clean, I expect that in a good hotel. Spa was okay, not very inviting, small bad view. I would not bother to stay here again. Not up to par with other Four Seasons I've been to, not worth the price.
Great service and wait staff N/a
My husband, two kids (5 years and 2 1/2 years old) and myself took a vacation to Austin, Texas for a couple of days and we decided to stay at the Four Seasons. Because there is construction going on City side of the hotel, we upgraded to a Lakeview Suite. The Lakeview suite was double the money and then some -- but we figured, Hey, we are on vacation and for that price, this has got to be luxurious. Well, I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed with both the size and the look of the suite. It was much smaller than I anticipated and the furnishings were very basic. Just a basic pull out sofa -- no frills at all. The bathroom was very small and very plain looking. My husband and I have travelled a lot before and this room was most definitely not worth the price tag. That being said, everything else, and I mean everything, was superb. The service was incredible, everyone was polite and we were all treated like celebrities. Honestly, the staff is wonderful and made us all as comfortable as possible. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool was very relaxing and there was plenty of room to sit and sun. I also got a massage at the spa and it was fantastic -- except the head rest was extremely uncomfortable on my forehead and gave me a tremendous headache for hours afterward. It kind of ruined the great massage. So, if you use the Spa -- tell the masseur about this. The staff were absolutely fantastic with our children and the hotel is very very kid friendly. My advice: do not waste your money on a suite -- just get a basic room. I wish we had.
Very friendly and professional hotel staff. Very timely room service. The Outdoor space on the river side of the hotel could be spruced up, but it's not bad.
Yes all of the above! This hotel goes above and beyond to meet your personal needs. Nope
The Four Seasons Austin is a magical place. The building and grounds are the best of the best. Austin is a beautiful city and the Four Seasons helped us to enjoy and experience this great city. We asked the Concierge what there was to do in Austin. He told us that he might be able to get us tickets to see Wicked. He did. The performance was sold out and was truely amazing. As great as the hotel was, the staff were even better. Why do we like the Four Seasons so much--because the staff provide a level of service that we experience no where else. My wife told me that they made her feel like the most important person in the world. We want to go back to Austin, to spend more time at the Four Seasons and to spend more time in this very special city.
I was expecting to be wowed at the four seasons, particularly given the price. I found the hotel to be nothing special. Everything was just ok. The staff was friendly, but then again, everyone in Austin is friendly. I could not believe they charged for wi-fi. That was really a cheap move. The spa was alright, small with not much atmosphere. The entire experience was just alright. I did feel a bit ripped off for the price. The are many hotels in the area for substantially less money with the same features. I would explore other options if I return.
I attended a conference at this hotel, so the rate was much below market rate. I upgraded from a Cityview room to a Lakeview room. The two rooms are identical, the only difference is the view, so decide if the view is worth the extra. In my case, I thought it might be quieter facing the lake, and it gave me a fabulous view of the bridge where the famous Austin bats emerge each night. The room was attractive and comfortable. I liked that the small fridge in the room containing items you have to pay for could be emptied out and filled with my own items. Room service charges were exhorbitant: $ total for a salad with seared chicken on it, and the greens were not fresh by the time I got the meal. Outside of meals provided by the conference, I didn't eat at the hotel. Service was wonderful. One weird thing is that they don't put a book in your room acquainting you with the locations of all their services (pool, spa, ice machines, etc.) When I asked about it, the desk clerk immediately and cheerfully offered to escort me around the hotel showing me where everything was, which was nice, but not what I wanted. I loved the robe they provided, and the bath amenities were wonderful. Housecleaning staff were great, turndown service every night also good. They didn't have an option to re-use the towels, I wish they'd do that to save water. Speaking of which, the water pressure was insanely good. Can't imagine how much water they're using daily in a desert environment. Overall, I'd definitely stay there again, but not if I have to pay full freight myself.
The building is nice but the room was cramped, there was no view from our window, the carpet was rather dirty... But the bed was soft. Oh and the location is in a good spot but all in all I won't be going back.
The location was great, it was pretty clean, and also the staff was very helpful. The room for it's price was over exaggerated. The Hilton was cheaper and much better overall.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Love the green initative and healthy influences of the Westin - makes traveling easy! Also, my family joined me the last night, and the crib the Westin provided is amazing - called a heavenly crib. The hotel feels a bit dated - the rooms could use a bit of an update. Perhaps it's the lighting or the decor, but it feels a bit older. Parking was an issue a few of the days during the day due to a women's conference being held at the hotel too.
Room was eh, but functional. This hotel was bad, the staff wasn't helpful only after I was checking out that the staff was decent and actually gave us customer service but before that when I was trying to check in, the staff was not welcoming. Body language was off, greeting us was not so pleasant, another group of people who were standing by us seemed to have been treated the same. The worse was when our time to check was at 3 PM and when we came to check in, they told us that our room was not ready because of people extended their stay. I have never experienced this personally because, at other hotels, they always had the room ready for their customers no matter what. I had to wait a massive 4 additional hours until my room was ready. My party and I were extremely disappointed. Will never go back to this Holiday location, and I advise others who are booking to triple check your room availability, if not, beware of fighting with their customer service. Also, the price for this hotel is NOT worth it. Please see other options.
Staff was very rude and not very helpful throughout the entire trip. Starting from checkin to requesting a shuttle to asking for a razor everything seemed like such a chore. Everyone I encountered left a sour taste in my mouth
Close to the river Our room view was to the freeway instead of the river
The bed was so comfy!!! I did ask for help or suggestions for me and my 11 year old to do in the evening and the driver (I hate I didn't get his name) really tried his hardest to help me out. It was hard since Austin is more of an adult atmosphere at night but he keep looking & always looked at location & price of a cab since I didn't have a car. He finally found a spot we could try out & he drove us there even though it was slightly out of their driving distance. He said he didnt want my daughter to be bored & wanted her to enjoy her stay. Very polite and helpful! There is construction going on but nothing bad and no noise.
This is a great stay/value for your money. My main concern staying at any hotel is cleanliness. A clean bed, clean bathroom, and good breakfast. Holiday Inn Towne Lake fit the bill. It's right off Lady Bird Lake and a 20 minute walk to 6th st. I would definitely recommend.
Staff was great; friendly and very helpful. Someone else already mentioned the shower water temperature. It was hard to balance it out to a comfortable, bareable point. Way too hot. Other than that, room was pretty alright for the price.
- Great location. - Clean Room. - Comfortable bed. - Decent value. Hotel is currently undergoing a needed remodel. Some portions of the hotel looked great, others looked pretty run down.
Great Location. That's about it. The facilities are really run down. Even the chromed towel rack in the bathroom was rusted. The shower delivered two temperatures, very hot and scalding. The hallway carpets were dirty. The saving grace for me is that I got in late and I left early so I did not have to spend much time in the hotel. Bottom line, this could be a nice facility if they had a major remodel. In the mean time I won't be using it again.,
The renovation of the whole room was on point and a very nice few by the river There's nothin not to like
The room was comfortable and clean and included everything you'd expect to have in a hotel room. The hotel was under renovations during my stay so the atmosphere of the hotel wasn't too nice, but that's understandable. The renovation plans look like they will be impressive once they are completed.
The pool was very nice The place is just filthy and rundown. The carpet look like it was 30 years old and everything in the room and in the hallway was just kind of disgusting. The whole third floor had a gross smell to it.
Cleanliness, and friendly staff. Downtown location is great for exploring 6th st area. South Congress is a long walk (esp. in hot sun), but was still do-able. Parking at the hotel is $40 / night by valet. We ended up at a nearby garage @ $24 / night.
Very nice hotel in a great location My room was very small for the price
nice decoration, nice ambiance, good room, was standard double very noisy airconditioning, should really be improved
In "nice" hotels like this, one oftentimes encounters staff workers that are acerbic and demeaning w/o realizing it because the culture of the environment encourages that behavior. The staff in this case was excellent and down to earth. They smiled and laughed when I joked around w/ them (and I am funny .... and cute!). Most notably was our concierge, "Chenisse Johns," OUTSTANDING!. She was so helpful w/ many of our questions whether giving us directions for local restaurants or providing us w/ an upgrade in our room - which we took advantage of on the last night of our stay! The rooms on the 16th floor were fantastic and grand. They were quiet, allowing us to really SLEEP & wake up refreshed. I definitely would stay here again. OH, it's right in the heart of downtown, thus one can walk anywhere from the hotel.
No problems with reservation. Location was superb. Concierge was delightful. Difficult to find in the dark. We found the room a bit small and not quite enough room in the bathroom. The water and/or the plumbing had an off-putting smell.
Good location, clean, quiet, air conditioned, restaurant attached, computer in lobby to print your boarding pass.
Location was great and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.
Everything except the valet parking (that service was good & prompt, though); self park would have been preferable. Staff-ALL staff-was excellent, highly competent & knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly. I believe that the SFA hotel staff could compare favorably with hotels ANYWHERE. Only indoor pool; outdoor pool would have been preferable. Would have rather had self-parking available than valet parking
