Chancel on went bankrupt and never could get my $ back!! Lost hundreds! Last time I book hotel thru kayak.
Free coffee in the lobby, super nice staff, chill environment. Right next to a great karaoke bar
Shower was a little funky, but we figured it out
Very comfortable bed and staff was great.
Wrong time
Going through construction and no matter what floor they changed the room, the sound of drill and Hamer did not allow me to rest. However they agreed to refund in full and I found another hotel to stay.
Great Location, Uniquie Concept, very comfortable
Nice Concept, no registration desk, Staff meet at the door and check you in Via. Every guest gets a bike rental and free coffee everyday. Rooms are retrofitted Apartment one bedroom efficiencies with full refrigators kitchetlets. Surprisely confortable. Huge LCD TV (Cool). Reasonable Priced espaceially for the area and location. Interesting option, if I had known I might have embraced the concept more. Staff was very help and responsible.
Noisy, but they offered ear plugs. No kitchen or room service but I not sure I missed it. Room had some minor structural issues.
Looks better on line than it is
The staff was very kind and helpful although very young and not knowledgeable. The bed and sofa were nice.
At the time of our stay there was no hotel lobby. There is no restaurant and no mini bar in the room. You also can hear the televisions of the rooms around you.
- Very convenient location - Bed fairly comfortable - Lotion, soap, and shampoo/conditioner provided were of good quality
- Furniture worn, iron burn on the dresser, battered lampshades, etc - Rusted drain in bathtub - Large gaps between bath fixtures and shower wall tiles - Air conditioning was bare minimum for Washington D.C. heat - Thermostat not easy to set--or not responding - Rooms at back of hotel look out on a very nearby office building and an alley where the garbage is collected between 5 and 6am. - No sheer curtains for privacy on windows (which face alley and nearby office building) - Could hear conversation in neighboring room - No breakfast of restaurant (though some choices nearby) - Lobby was completely under construction with no air conditioning and certainly no kind of lounge area
Downtown DC
I liked the price and location phenomenal and very close to everything. Can uber for around $5-10 every from this location.
The only thing that was not the best was the fact that they were doing construction work in the lobby which is not that bad and did not affect our stay very much at all but we did hear some pretty loud street noise early in the morning at 6 am on Saturday morning from the back alley as our room was located on the 3rd floor and south side.
Good location and across the road form a good breakfast place. Very close to Metro station.
I stressed the need for a quiet room and got one at the rear of the hotel. At 5 am in the morning, garbage trucks woke me up picking up bins and throwing them in the back of their trucks right outside my window as that was the loading area - for 30 minutes - very frustrating, as I had asked for a quiet room and was told I was given one. Poor rating on comfort and okay on staff given because of this. DO NOT STAY IN A ROOM AT THE BACK!!!
in spite of older hotel that was obviously rehabbed, pretty nice. not sure I would take the family but fine for business travel.
all night jack hammers...not the hotel's fault, but knowing it was middle of the week and they had a lot of vacancies, the staff could have booked people in rooms away from street noise. my room was nice and I put up with it.
The room was good sized and very comfortable. Good location to metro and only a little over a mile down to the national mall.
The rooms were very loud. The windows seemed like they must be very thin because I could hear everything outside, including people talking. I was also right next to a supply closet, which was very loud with service staff going in and out at early hours.
The hotel was within walking distance to all of the big DC attractions. (A 10 minute walk to the White House). There is also access to the M (subway) super close by! We were very impressed by the friendliness of the employees. Every time we left or returned to the hotel everyone at the front desk stopped to smile and say welcome back or have a nice day. We also needed additional bathroom products and were impressed when a member of housekeeping brought everything we requested within 5 minutes, that is great customer service!
Our only complaint was that it was very noisy. The hotel is adjacent to a pub Mackey's. We were given a room on the second floor and could hear every conversation taking place on the outdoor patio. Not so bad at 8 pm. Very irritating at 1 am.
Nice location. The staff were very friendly and supportive. The room was spacious and good for work. Love to come back again.
The staff was veryhelpful in getting me knowing the city.
The bathroom maintenance in many rooms are not proberly done.
Very friendly helpful staff and convenient to area attractions
The room is big. Complimentary coffee every morning unfortunately I only get to know on the day I checked out
Excellent location. Boutique hotel feel.
Room had a street lamp shining right into it and the shades were poorly designed keep the light out during the night.
The room was highly maintained throughout the week I was there and I lacked for nothing. The staff were professional and exemplary.
No restaurant or breakfast room. There were plenty of eateries nearby but the pub attached to the hotel was lacking in many respects.
The first day the internet in my room was not working and they offered my another room the next day. That was very appreciated. The stuff was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were incredible large and comfortable.
You could look into the rooms from the office building across, so in the eve and morning you needed to keep your blinds closed. The hotel did not offer breakfast.
the location was very good.
There is a lot of noise in and outside the hotel.
Bedroom
It hasn't bar.
large room
no breakfast
