This is a bit better than what you expect. It was recently remodeled, so it was very clean. Bed was comfortable, TV was adequate, room was large. Staff were extremely friendly. I didn't hear a single other guest, but it wasn't particularly busy, so your mileage may vary there. I hesitate to give any hotel five stars, even the five star ones, so four is pretty high praise from me. Shower nozzle wasn't great (but the pressure was fine). Heat was finicky (it was in the lower 20s by the time I woke up). Very difficult to get the temperature "just right".
Golf course, cleanliness, friendly staff, good food Everything good.
Good diner and breakfast. Rooms in older portion of hotel are dated; a decor upgrade would enhance the stay.
May even if your golfing you would enjoy it but we were staying one night before the cabin opened. No fault of there's but Expedia did not let them know we needed a pet friendly room so we ended up switching hotels with my brother and his family. They got the raw end of the deal while we stayed at the super 8. Everything needs to be updated I felt like I was walking into the 50'system and not in a good way. Everything closed early the day before new years eve. Not somewhere I will ever go back to.
My room was very quaint. Lots of woodwork and flannel print. This is a great spot for a fall getaway. The food at breakfast was delicious. This is a two person show and for two people they do a really good job. No ice machine (at least that I could find) Bed wasn't terrible comfortable. Only very small heater in room that was a little difficult to manage. Either too hot or too cool.
Really, really liked the whole nature scene. There were plenty of trees, a rushing creek playing my favorite sounds, and a comfortable place to lay my head at night. Also, the folks behind the desk were super kind and helpful. They seemed to enjoy helping my group get orientated with Maggie's Valley.
Beautiful area, clean friendly staff. Best on franchise hotel for the price I can remember staying in. No breakfeast served, however great resturant across the street.
Went to Maggie Valley to see Wheels Thru Time Museum and the wife & one adult son came along. Picked Jonathan Creek because few booking available at time. What a home run! After a recent bad experience using small local inns on a PA get away we found spotless, well maintained facilities with local charm and comfort. and a friendly staff. Last minute travel changes had us stay two nights and not just one. Next season I plan a cycle tour back to Maggie Valley and to run the near by Dragon and I will return.
We visited Shel and Deb, for the ump-teenth time, on the weekend of August 4, 2012. It has become one of our family's vacation traditions! Either on a long weekend away, or on a half-way break from the long car ride to our SC beach destination, we have come to anticipate a stop at Oak Hill on Love Lane as a very happy part of our family trips. We cannot thank you enough for your flexibility in accommodating our discriminating ('picky') palates on this last trip! We think the Baked Oatmeal with Fruit that Deb made for the girls was the envy of the whole breakfast party, and we intend to put in an order for all of us on our next trip! As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing 'rock on the porch' while watching the sunset against the distinctive background that is only available in Waynesville. Everything was immaculate, welcoming, lush and pristine, as we have come to take for granted. You have spoiled us for any other place! Thank you so much, and love from all of us: Rick, Cathleen and the girls, Greater Cincinnati/N. Ky Area
Inside of room was nice and updated with good beds, carpet and nice TV. It was convenient to Waynesville, NC mountains and Asheville. Price was very low! Inside and outside of motel are being extensively renovated and definitely need it esp on outside. Work was being done while I was there so was big dumpster right under my little balcony and people working upstairs until into the night. Had to call desk and ask they stop, which the finally did.
Description of whole facility was misleading.the room we were given was dark and had a pine tree for a view
The character was a through back in time. The covered porch overlooking the creek, wonderful a very friendly atmosphere. Perfect in every way. NO!
My stay at the Four Seasons was outstanding. I was really impressed with the quality of the room and the overall condition of the hotel. The food was delicous too. I would stay there again. The front desk clerk needed to be more enthusiastic and outgoing. I also think the price was a little too expensive.
This is a magnificent hotel on the river. Highly recommended. Not really.
Clean and cozy! Good price with breakfast included! Larger Area for a group gathering
Great location for easy access to Blue Ridge Pkwy and Biltmore attractions.
We had a great stay! Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for us. No road noise inside the hotel even though its right on the main street through town. Doors being slammed in the upstairs hallway until 3 am. Not a reflection on the hotel itself, was just a drawback of our stay.
The back patio to the stream was very relaxing. Location was great. There was no dresser to put clothes on which I found strange. Also, there weren't enough sheets on the bed for winter. No comforter. There was BARELY enough parking for everyone.
Desk clerk was very nice. Pool and Fitness rooms not as nice as pictured.
Pretty nice hotel for the price I paid. I expected it to be cheaper looking. Which, I was ok with knowing I'd be spending little time in my room. I know not to expect anything decent from a continental breakfast but the appeal at staying at Ramada over one of the many independent inn's and motels in Maggie Valley was the breakfast. However, it was indeed terrible- I want eggs and bacon and ample fruit. The coffee wasn't even labeled decaf or not. Next time I visit Maggie Valley, NC I will stay in an independent inn and get breakfast at a diner.
For such a busy Thanksgiving weekend the staff made everything at the hotel so comfortable. I am especially thankful for the kindness shown by the front desk staff and in the breakfast room.
The first day was fine with little to complain about other than the noisy neighbors. You can hear everything, so we had to blast the air to drown out the noise. The real problem was the 2nd day for breakfast. The server snapped at my wife for asking for a difference yogurt. She looked at my wife and yelled NO! I could tell before the incident that the lady didn't want be there and had a disgusted look on her face. This is unacceptable and we complained to the manager, but she only made excuses for her. They seemed to be under staffed and unable to handle more than 20 people at a time, but that doesn't excuse the server's behavior. If you don't like to work around people, then work from home. The manager did go and get the yogurt that we were told "NO!!" they didn't have. If you stay here, eat breakfast elsewhere. You'll be glad you did. They served frozen eggs too BTW.
We have been staying here for several years and really appreciate the money and effort the owners have invested in improvements. The bed was more comfortable than ours at home. We definitely get our money 's worth.
The hotel was easy to find, very clean and had a great breakfast. Centrally located.....but Maggie Valley is very boring! I doubt we will return but if we do, we will surely stay at this hotel. The town was BORING!
Close to area we wanted to tour.
Front desk guy was Great and Friendly!!! Hot Tub was great after day on the slopes and breakfast was Good and room was nice and clean. Second time staying here!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
The rooms are non smoking. Since the rooms are non smoking, there are rocking chairs set up outside of the rooms, which looks inviting, but smokers sit outside of the rooms and smoke. My mom and I would come back to the room and would be stuck in the room with no where to relax and look at the scenery. That kind of sucked. Plus, the cigarette smoke drifted into our room. It would be nice if there was an area away from the room with inviting chairs to sit in to relax and look at the scenery.
