Pros: I stayed here two years ago for two nights and I loved it then. We stayed in the holiday flat this time around and we found it to be absolutely superb. This is a little gem in the Wachau - the owners make you feel very welcome and special, the location is fantastic and the facilities are great. What is there not to like???

Pros: Beautiful quiet setting, owners are wonderful and take excellent care of guests...especially loved wine cellar tour and welcoming glasses of wine. Delighted by wine spritzer after warm bike ride and by good quality bikes to ride the Danauwg trail (Danube). Apartment allowed us to cook our own meals and relax.

Pros: A really nice pension at the top of the town in the grape orchard family run which also has a beautiful wine cellar under it which Andreas was proud to show us and provided us with tasting of his wines they were so good we purchased some to take home. He also explained the wine tasting and food establishments in town which we also went to and they were fabulous and great value this pension and area was great

Pros: Perfect location, comfortable and well-equipped room and extreamly friendly hosts. Free parking and safe place for the bike. I strongly recommend for everybody who wants to spent few days in that region. The breakfast and the house of wine are delicious.

Pros: We spent two wonderful nights here, Doris and Andreas were both so kind and hospitable. We loved the breakfast in the morning, and also the tour we received of the wine cellar. We made great use of the bikes, to explore the nearby towns of Wösendorf, Spitz, and Weißenkirchen and check out the local heurigers. The location was also perfect for starting our hike to Spitz. Everything was very clean and comfortable - this stay felt like a relaxing retreat! We would recommend the Weinbau Weidenauer to all travelers, it will exceed your expectations.

Pros: Everything was O.K. Very good breakfast. Fantastic atmosphere and pleasant environment. Very friendly owners, lots of nice details of the accommodation (e.g. a place for breakfast outside the house in hot days, coffee machine in the corridor, magnifying mirror in the bathroom). The owners have a vineyard, so as in similar accommodation in Wachau, there is also a fridge with wine for sale.

Pros: Extremely friendly and attentive host, and very good service - from a welcome glass of wine, to free bicycles and the best breakfast we had in a long time... and we travel a lot! The location is perfect to discover the area and go out eating in typical local restaurants. We felt more than staying at some friends than in a pension/hotel and strongly recommend this place.
Cons: Our stay was too short ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Warm and welcoming host. Close to everything. Biking trail right there with bikes available at no charge. Delicious breakfast. Great coffee. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. Silke and Thomas were such a pleasure to meet. They make their own wine so that is an extra treat too. We sat outside on their deck area overlooking the Danube River enjoying a glass of their wine. This was our first stop on a 3 week vacation and it couldn’t have started off any better. Rooms are adorable and Silke adds a lot of extra touches which adds to their charm. We will return!
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Very warm and welcoming staff. A big room with a great view. Delicious breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet hotel with very friendly and hospitable owners. It is located on the outskirts of Wossendorf - our room windows were looking out onto the railway, and immediately behind it was the vineyards. This is a great starting point for walking. The train goes only in a the day and very rarely, we heard it only once during the breakfast, the rest of the time we went out. I liked the figures from the towels in the room, from fruits and napkins - at breakfast - it really makes you feel better in a moment. Nice little thing - a bottle of water in the room. The bed is wide and very comfortable, the bathroom and shower cabin are spacious, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. We speak German badly, but there were no problems with communication in English. Breakfast is served in advance - plates, glasses and others are already on the tables when you go into the dinning room. It was a bit unusual for us. There was no feeling that we were at the hotel, rather, at our friends' home. We plan to come there more than once.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location with views of wineries, right off the Danube Bike Path. The owners were amazing super hosts that made is feel at home and made sure our stay was exceptional.
Cons: Wifi was spotty.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was a great little place to stay. Glad we found it. It was within walking distance to the small beach that was along the Danube. It was chilly, but we went swimming in the river, which was a very fun experience. There are also bike paths along the river that go to the neighboring villages. There were quite a few nice little shops, restaurants, and wineries within walking distance of the hotel. A block or so down was a Spar grocery store, which was convenient when we needed to pick up something basic. The room itself was very nice and clean, with a private porch that overlooked the vineyards. Breakfast was amazing! They do such a wonderful job with the food. So many choices (breads, jams, yogurt with various toppings, meats and cheeses, etc) plus they have delicious eggs (get it with the pumpkin seed oil, it's delicious!!) The couple that owns and runs this little hotel are so friendly and helpful, too. They have a lovely little gift shop with souvenirs from around the area. The beds are comfy and the location is wonderful. There's plenty to do during the day, and in the off-times you can lounge in the backyard in one of the hammocks they have available. They had bikes that you could rent, as well. Also, they have private free parking.
Cons: There was no air conditioning, which is pretty standard for hotels across Europe. A box fan or something similar would have been a nice addition.

Pros: Anna's Landhaus was located with a stunning view of Danube and the Wachau Valley from our room. The room was clean and comfortable. Anna was full of helpful information and a gracious host, taking the time to tell us details about the area that we otherwise would not have known. The grounds of this B&B had chairs and tables available for guests to relax and enjoy the view from. Breakfast was delicious was various meats, cheeses, breads, and cereals. The small town, Rossatz, was a perfect spot since it was comparatively uncrowded and lovely.

The room is charmingly decorated, as are all the public spaces. The breakfast room is spacious and the breakfast buffet is very generous with delicious local specialties, excellent coffee, eggs, meats, special breads, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc. The hostess speaks English well and is very gracious and accommodating. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly, helpful, perfect host family. The breakfast is truly amazing with a great selection of local foods, which we thoroughly enjoyed on their balcony. Our room was really nice. The location is ideally situated in the Wachau region - close to the Melk Abby, Spitz, Krems, etc. Right across the street from the beautiful blue Danube with surrounding lush green hills. A number of wine bars and restaurants are very close - all within walking distance in the town.
Cons: Could hear some traffic noise during the night when the window is open (we tend to sleep with our window open) as our room faced the road between the hotel and the Danube. Everything else about the hotel, host family and location overrides this, in our opinion.

Pros: Great location, pleasant staff, beautiful little garden with a bathing pond, very clean rooms (plus all four nights cleaned during our breakfast time - perfect!)
Cons: Interior and furniture was three star, either in need of replacement or cheap. Bathrooms also so so. The whole interior is outdated and needs a complete refurbrishment. The bed in the room no 11 was terrible, old and very soft mattress. Glasses for breakfast juice could’t be smaller:(

8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked most was the lovely location in a great wine region in Austria where you can sample wine and regional foods from producers. Breakfast was very good, very fresh and tasty (one of the best we had all holiday).
Cons: At first we did not know how to switch the lighting from automatic to manual control, once we worked this out this was fine. Very hot at night - but then we went during the heat wave!
6.8 Good
Pros: Attractive room. Sparkling clean, modern bathroom Very good WiFi Outstanding breakfast in room with beautiful view.
Cons: Hard to find on very narrow road, not well signed. No parking nearby. Hot room with considerable street noise. Fan would have been welcome. No one present outside of breakfast hours. Did not have a personal feeling.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, with more choices than anywhere else we stayed- superb! The rooms were laid out in a kind of crazy fashion, but that was OK- it made the place that more interesting.
Cons: It, was a steep walk up the hill, carrying our bags, but that was our choice to travel without a car. I don't know how booking.com computes the overall score, but I'd rate it t least an 8.8.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in one of the apartments. The owner Josi was very helpful and she helped us by giving us travel advice from Vienna before we got there. The apartment was clean and spacious. We had breakfast in the main guest house, which was lovely. The views from the breakfast room in the main guest house are stunning.
Cons: The only small isuue we had was we cooked in the apartment and then washed up but there was no draining board but there was a dishwasher so that may explain why.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous traditionally styled Gästehaus with wonderful views over the Wachau. Josi the hostess was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was hot in Austria during my vacation: hot in Vienna, and I think possibly hotter in Weissenkirchen. How amazing to check into the lovely Gaestehaus Turm and find a fan blowing a cool breeze in my room. Not only that, but there was a chilled bottle of sodawater waiting in the fridge. The room was quite large, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished. The window on the front had a view to the Danube. Velux windows on either side provided excellent cross-ventilation. The building itself dates from 980 AD; the renovation was done with care to preserve the authenticity. The owner was very kind, coming to rescue me after I could not quite find the place to park (and driving in the narrow roads was stressful for me). Breakfast was terrific--even a self-service coffee machine with latte macchiato, espresso, etc at the touch of a button. At the time of checkout, I sampled a couple of delicious wines and bought a few bottles to bring home: a good way to preserve memories of the Wachau.
Cons: The bed was incredibly comfortable, but the pillow was "too soft" for me. Pillow preferences are a very personal choice, however, so this one might have been "just right" for somebody else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast offering. Excellent vantage point for the Wachau Valley and the Danube. Proprietor and staff are authentically warm and accommodating.
Cons: Scrambled eggs ; - )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This gasthouse is in the heart of old Weissenkirchen but has been updated to accomodate today’s expectations. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are nice sized and beautifully furnished in a country style. The balcony patios are a great place for enjoying the wonderful scenery of the area. We also enjoyed several light suppers at the heuriger.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in an apartment in the annex just around the corner from the main building. The apartment is in a very old building which added to the experience. The apartment is clean, comfortable and fitted out with a modern bathroom and kitchen and has pretty much everything you would need. It is just a short walk down in to the village. The wine produced by the owners vineyard was also very nice.
Cons: It was all very nice. The terrace of the actual apartment didn't have any sort of view but we were welcome to use the terrace and bar area of the main hotel which had stunning views of the vineyards of the Wachau and this more than made up for anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and the dinning room has a beautiful view of the town and river. The wine from their family winery was excellent and the owners were very nice and helpful with information of the local area. We stayed in the apartments and loved them. We loved this property.

Our room was large, clean and very nicely appointed with great views of the river and fertile valley of the Wachau. The host family has thoughtfully equipped the entrance area with a snack bar which operates on an honesty basis. Breakfast was delicious with fruit and jams produced on their own land - we wished that we had space on the bikes to buy and take some produce with us.

Pros: Gaestehaus Schuetz was a very nice B&B-style guest house. Everything was well prepared. Rooms were very clean, Modern shower bath. The breakfast was nice and sufficient. Pros: Pretty location, very good quality breakfast foods, kind owners who are very proud of the region.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel right in downtown Weissenkirchen with excellent breakfast. Our guest room was very welcoming with attractive modern bathroom.
Cons: Pool for personal use only. Lack of a staffed reception area. Room was too hot even with fan.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly staff, bike hire options on site, large room, reasonable location in nice little town, supermarket about 5-10min stroll, beautiful little property, pool was nice to cool off during summer heat.
Cons: Property owners and their 2 young children spent a lot of time in and around the pool, which was small and only had 3-4 deck chairs, to the detriment of the guests, which I thought was slightly unprofessional. Otherwise nothing specific in terms of negatives, but I think the review score above reflects our overall thoughts on this accomodation.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: An excellent guest house in a lovely location. Spatious and comfortable rooms, tastefully done, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful owner and staff. Inviting outdoor seating, small pool, bicycle rentals. Great eateries in town and the wine made by the owners is delicious. Highly recommended.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, better then we expected. Good for hiking in vineyards, biking along the Donau. Many nice places in surroundings. We had hot weather durring our stay, and therefore we appreciated the swimming pool and nice place in the garden. Very good breakfast and the owner was ready to help us if we needed.
Cons: We could stay longer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, e-bike renting
Cons: Parking
9.5 Excellent
Pros: First of all, Durnstein is really perfect place. The hotel was very nice and cozy. We had extremelly exciting time here. Very beatiful sites nearby, and just 6 minutes walking for cozy silver beach washed by Donabe's waters)) And don't forget to taste local wine here. Maybe it was little bit like homemade, but so delicious, so good! Well I recommend to everyone - just try)) Thanks a lot for this accomodation, hope to come back sometimes.
Cons: The only thing that was little bit uncomfortable - not very "english speaking" staff. I'm totally understading that we were visiting Austria and we will try to learn Deutsch better for our next traveling)) but it would be great if we have a possibility to communicate in english too - to solve copmlicate questions and problems easier :) But all of you were very nice and polite and were trying to do the best, so thank you anyway!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice
Cons: The room is a bit too simple, but the rest is perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Breakfast was ok
Cons: We waited in front of the gate for 10 min. It was not clear what to do, door was locked, we needed to ring twice and wait till somebody showed up. Owner was not welcoming, asked why we ringed the bell. Nothing i would have expected from a 4 stars hotel. They give you a key and you should unlock/lock all the doors, when you go out. We booked a suit with a view but it was looking at a street and it was noisy so don’t spend extra money on suit.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old house with charm, great location and good choice of breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunatelly there is no air conditioning in the house, so during the hot summer days we had two unbearably hot nights. One side of the building faces a street as well with some noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could stay until lunch lime - late check out! That was very much appreciated!! Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel located in the small village of Spitz. The staff (Elizabeth was our staff) were friendly and very helpful. The patio overlooking the vineyard and orchard was so relaxing. We enjoyed having their exceptional breakfast on this patio. There was wine and lively glasses to enjoy it in self serve. We did not want to leave. Easy to ride a bike one day to Melk and another day to Durnstein.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not love.
7.5 Good
Cons: It is a pet friendy hotel. Which would not be a problem, if the room would be properly vacuumed. But we found a dog fur on the sofa (clumps of dog hair) and on the carpet, after we found it on hands of our baby.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: we traveled by bicycle to and from the hotel. i would not recommend this to travellers. The hotel is about 30 minute bike ride uphill from Krems. Krems is difficult to navigate through for bikers on the Donau Radweg. The road is a high traffic, high speed. Once there, you have no option but to eat dinner at the hotel, which was average. The setting is pretty, the landscaping around the verandah is well done and the room was very quiet even though on the busy road due to double windows. However, we could hear conversation from the restaurant in our room till 11 pm at night.
Cons: Noise from restaurant below our room; not good access for cyclists from Krems; my husband's fish dinner was excellent; my rouladen dinner was dry and spaetzle noodles were cold; there was no offer for wine tasting and little to no explanation from any servers about the property's wines for us as guests. You either had to already know about the wines being offered, or be a German regular guest ready to buy wine. As a tourist, it was not a wine-tasting or wine-learning experience friendly destination.

Pros: It wasexactly what I was expecting and more.Gorgeous 12th Century building, fully renovated but still kept the old feel. Gorgeous surroundings.Words cannot describe it's beaty.

Pros: Great breakfast.
Cons: We liked it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietors were wonderful, very warm and welcoming. We booked for 3 days but stayed 3 more days. We had a beautiful apartment that had been totally renovated. It had a quaint lokk with 400 year old wood ceiling beams, but a very modern bathroom and water closet. We were glad to see a walk-in shower as bathtuds are dangerous for older people. We ate in the restaurant 3-4 times and the food and service was wonderful. When they were closed, we at at the winery next door and at a restaurant on the Danube right nearby. There's a lovely outdoor terrace that is shaded with large trees and it would have been great for us except the weather was not very good . . . overcast, drizzle and rain. Despite the westher situstion we were able to visit quite a bit of the atea while on day trips. There was a grocery store within walking distance, bus stop right outside the door, a trsin station newrby and a small car ferry across the street to cross the Danube. Would definitely stay here again if in the region.
Cons: The WEATHER!
