Pros: This was probably the best B&B I have ever stayed at (from a great many of them). The "studio" is located in a magnificent countryside setting and the owner has thought of every possible B&B requirement that a guest could have. The breakfast provided was full of fresh, home made or local produce. Simply outstanding!

Pros: The lady who checked us in was a gem
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good, the breakfast and restaurant also very good.
Cons: First morning at breakfast tea served by waitress from thermal jug, prefer pot of tea on the table. Ask for this on the second day, and was provided.

Pros: It’s a castle in the country—what is not to like???
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Very high standard of accommodation. Excellent restaurant. Would love to visit again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was very pretty, check-in perfect. We arrived around 6pm and could go for a walk in the beautiful castle garden. There were two weddings in the castle itself, which made that we could not approach the castle however. Also next day there were still photo-shoots going on inside the castle. But still, nice to be able to visit the castle!
Cons: Breakfast was ok, but staff was all young people, felt like no one was in charge and it was impossible to get anyone's attention. We had to go to the bar ourselves to get another coffee.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and views of the gardens and the castle
Cons: Checkout was far to early. It was 10am it should be at least 12pm to give you more time to have breakfast and get ready to leave your room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Great castle and grounds to see.
Cons: Huge bathroom but hardly any shelves to put your toiletries etc.Really needs updating and no mixer tap so that the hot tap was scalding hot. Everything about the room is tired. The value of the price is in the location and seeing the Castle rather than any "luxury" of the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed , very secure feeling and good views of the garden. Shower was great, plenty of hot water and space. Toiletries were of good quality and coffee, tea and biscuits were very good quality.
Cons: Lighting in the bedroom was vey poor, my wife could not see in the evening to apply her makeup and dry her hair. Could do with higher wattage bulbs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Excellent restaurent
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is exceptionally picturesque so bring your camera. The selections for breakfast were a treat and a great way to begin the day. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the castle and grounds including the maze and the falconry displays.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent bar and restaurant
Cons: Very noisy bathroom extractor fan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation was excellent. Very clean spacious and comfortable. Are in the pub both nights. Quality very good and reasonably priced. Staff very welcoming and friendly
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice location in the countryside, staff were friendly, and the room was clean.
Cons: Unfortunately my experience at breakfast took the shine off my stay but the staff were apologetic about the delay. My hot breakfast was burnt and I didn't have time to ask the staff to rectify it because I had already been delayed by the wait I experienced for someone to take my order. Ordinarily I'd be more forgiving, however I had arrived early to allow plenty of time, but another diner who arrived and was seated after me was served before me, delaying my food further. I think I arrived shortly after an unexpected busy period which happens, but unfortunately on this particular day the wait nearly made me late for the meeting I was in the area for.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are really lovely; small chalets really which have a private, cosy feel about them. Good stop for the dog as there is quiet, grassy area all around the chalets and some nice walks nearby. The pub was good too, great food and friendly staff. Very good location to be near the channel tunnel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were looking for somewhere decent to stay for one night - the Black Horse Inn filled the billed. The "Pub" had an "Olde Worlde" charm - the food was good. We went for a walk in the morning through what I consider quintessential English countryside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I slept like a log, didn’t want to get up glad I did though because the breakfast was fantastic great quality produce and a good humoured landlord.
Cons: Everything really good stay would like to come back and bring the wife for some walks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly room very clean lovely location
Cons: I have stayed a few times and prefer having a bath than a shower but on saying that wasng so impressed with lavender against other rooms we have stayed in.

Pros: Cider! Comfortable room. Great restaurant. Easy parking
Cons: Nothing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were really friendly. Bed very comfortable and bathroom nice and clean. Bar area lovely for a drink.
Cons: Broken toilet seat but we reported to reception on departure. Not a big deal. Steak dinner seemed a bit overpriced. Not the best steak I’ve had but sides were delicious.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and room we stayed in
Cons: Service in Restaurant in the evening was poor and expensive. At price charged would have expected to have some bread roles while waiting for main courses.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our lovely evening meal
Cons: Some of the wine prices
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I had a great stay. Every single member of staff I encountered was helpful, friendly, and seemed to take a genuine interest in making my vist as pleasant as possible. My room was clean, and a good size with all the usual amenities plus a small fridge (very handy). Bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. There are some stunning views from the hotel and the interior was in good condition, restaurant suitably grand and bar area cosy and welcoming. Like the rooms the communal areas are well kept - presumably not easy with such an old building so the effort is commendable. I also thought the hotel was good value all things considered.
Cons: Very hard to pick faults but the only real downside to my vist was the location of the hotel - not much they can do about that - but it's at the end of a very very narrow single track road with no illumination. Meeting anything coming the other way is awkward. Was also surprised that there was no hairdryer in my room. Although I didn't need one, I was intrigued by its absence.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This absolutely beautiful hotel is just an absolute delight to stay at... from The moment we arrived we were given a guided tour of the place... our room was just perfect.could not recommend this place enough... the staff we exceptional x
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant service, beautiful buildings and grounds. Asked the staff to do something nice for my fiancée’s birthday and they upgraded us to a suit for free!
Cons: Couldn’t fault it..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great venue and location
Cons: The rooms above the old stables are a bit low for someone being 2 meters in height
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The whole ambience - it was remote for work but the setting was truly beautiful
Cons: the bar food menu - am I the only traveller that doesn't want a burger, fish or pizza - really love it when a bar menu has some really nice home comfort food - especially for the weary traveller who hasn't been home for a couple of days

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, excellent food
Cons: Large bed but 2 singles pushed together...pet hate of mine, and lumpy mattresses.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and well appointed. I had everything I needed. Nice comfy bed. Food was good throughout but sausages at breakfast particularly good. Staff really friendly and polite.
Cons: My room was over a public area so there was quite a lot of noise and chairs scraping on the floor until closing time. After closing it was very quiet.

Great service and all the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

4.2 Okay
Cons: Room was dirty. Electrics kept cutting out. Jacuzzi didn't work!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chose this hotel for its quirkinesses, unfortunately the four poster bed was so uncomfortable and had seen better days myself and my husband left with bad backs and shattered from not having any sleep because of this!
Cons: The only thing that let the room down was the bed
6.3 Good
Pros: Evening meal was delicious good selection of choices reasonably priced Breakfast was good
Cons: We were expecting a small room which it was but the bathroom was not very clean and needs refurbishment. Shower not very powerful
7.5 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff lovely room
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I booked this accommodation simply because it was the nearest to the start point for a bike ride we were doing.. and what a lovely surprise. Boutique style venue with a real different feel about it. Decor was eclectic.... not your standardised premier in style. Accommodation is in small blocks away from the main bar and restaurant. We booked the cheapest and smallest room which was absolutely fine for the two of us for a night. If you want a treat or it's a special occasion go for the larger rooms. Food was excellent... we were hungry so could have done with bigger portions but really couldn't complain. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were delightful. Its definitely worth trying out.
Cons: I liked everything!!! So did everyone else because dinner reservations were very limited. Book early to avoid disappointment!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful
Cons: The burning smoke and ash from burning things and the steam room didnt work !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Room and the food was incredible!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and facilities were amazing. Will definitely be staying again, but in a different room with the hot tub.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely
Cons: Could of done with live music in the bar rather than the restaurant
7.6 Good
Pros: Nice, spacious, relatively luxurious bed and breakfast Very nice restaurant Nice location, in the middle of rural Kent though still 20-25 minutes from Maidstone
Cons: Not really geared for business travellers. Breakfast is after 0930! You are offered continental breakfast in your room if you have to leave before 0930. Not easy to find, especially late at night, when my mobile sat nav stopped working as there was no reception and there was no single soul awake to ask for instructions. I suggested to the owner to alert future customers at time of confirmation of booking, with emphatic fonts e.g. capitals or bold that this may be the case, so to make alternative preparations e.g. print the map or download off line map. Do not take me wrong, overall it is a nice B&B with some very fancy rooms. Very nice for a romantic weekend/getaway!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was brilliant
Cons: Nothing

5.0 Okay
Pros: Decor was good, well presented. Meal was excellent. Parking was excellent.
Cons: Room was very hot even with fan on all night. There was no lift and it was a steep hike to the top floor with heavy suitcases. There needed to be a separate area to welcome hotel guests instead of in the bar/restaurant, this wasn't a very welcoming presentation and staff seemed preoccupied with restaurant and bar only.
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to where we needed to go
Cons: Food was poor. No one asked us how it was so we couldn’t complain. Paid a lot of money for cold food, had to get our own cutlery, out order was wrong. Next day we paid full price for breakfast when we were told that we would only have to pay slightly more to upgrade. 2 mattresses put together was apparently ‘a bigger bed’. Paid a lot of money over so disappointing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The overall experience from the second you walk in better then what I expected. Cosy restaurant, nice rooms, friendly service, worth visiting again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location with excellent Miller & Carter steakhouse on site.
Cons: Room had an extremely warm ambient temperature even with the window open and radiator off, not sure why. Fan provided made it just bearable to sleep though not comfortably.
7.1 Good
Cons: I am quite disappointed to be honest with this morning staff asking me about the breakfast payment, after all I was already informed about the extra charge. Being approached before my checkout about extra payment isn’t ideal. please talk to your staff member or training should be considered.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent

Pros: The room was lovely
Cons: I didn’t like the cooked breakfast we ordered it was not cooked properly and swimming in oil
7.1 Good
Pros: Room was large and clean, bed was comfortable
Cons: Lack of in room facilities, no hair drier etc. Breakfast was included in our package but cooked food was extra and expensive considering I had already paid for a breakfast
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The use of kitchen and proper shower and bathroom facilities. Also fire pit use and logs. And could leave car there to wounder grounds next day.
Cons: The direction to get to the location and outdoor cinema was long bit can't be helped.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Tent was dirty and chairs were dangerous very few redeeming features would not stay again fine for a day visit
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the tent was definitely a luxury. We loved being able explore the grounds at night, we didn't see another person for 2 hours.
Cons: We found it hard to sleep with the sounds of the motorway and the flight path overhead. It could have been cheaper for a mid week stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very good accomodation , breakfast had the bacon baguette and tea was very nice
Cons: lighting in room was bit too dark ,also had battery powered fairy lights which lasted about 5 minutes before run out. bath robes supplied too small for average man size
7.9 Good
Pros: The castle and grounds.
Cons: The WiFi. Absolutely useless. The charge for breakfast, should really be in with the tent fee in my opinion
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property was comfortable and the facilities were great! We had a lovely time!
Cons: We struggled to find the property, it is not signposted and the website leads you the opposite direction to the main entrance and further away from the glamping site, the directions need to be better.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location for glamping and loved exploring the castle grounds after hours.
Cons: Didn't get to order the breakfast hamper although would have liked to.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fantastic experience, would totally recommend to anyone want to visit Leeds castle. The tent was so amazing and very comfortable, we are definitely going again! Only issue was our fairy lights in our tent didn't work and the staff tried to fix them but were unable to.
Cons: Thought 10am check out was too early. And would have like the fairy lights to have worked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful!!! Top experience with kids!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, comfortable, very clean and tidy, everything we needed, great fun cooking on the fire pit - plenty of logs supplied. More amenities there than we anticipated eg use of kitchen and lounge area, plenty of outdoor furniture. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Everything from e-mail with information about property, staff, location, facilities, meal in Castle View Restaurant and instructions to locate property which took us straight there, were excellent. Shared shower rooms/toilets very clean and tidy, plenty of hot water, complimentary l’occitane de Provence toiletries
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like, everything was extremely good.

8.4 Excellent (68 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in West Malling, No.64 at the Joiners is within a 15-minute drive of Leeds Castle and Mote Park.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Can't thinknof anything. The young lady who served me a pint was friendly.
Cons: Far too expensive for a room above a pub. Shower was leaking in the bathroom. A couch in the room would have been better than a massive bathtub. To be fair, I didn't book in advance a perhaps the only available room was the "romantic suit". Still far too expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and staff really welcoming. Great room everything you would need
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent location with lots to do. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: We stayed in Amelia. Despite having a large fan in the room, it was unbearably hot, meaning we didn't get much sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Boutique hotel rooms - just right for going to a wedding locally. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The property is absolutely stunning, filled with character but still has a homely feel. In a beautiful location, a real hidden gem, 5 minutes from Leeds Castle, it’s the perfect location.. Spring, summer, autumn, winter this mill will give you beautiful scenery whether it be in sunshine or snow.. I would recommend this property whether it be for a weekend away or attending a wedding at the castle- and the owner Martin, is absolutely lovely and so helpful! I spent to two nights here and had a wonderful weekend, flawless with no problems. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

7.1 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the tv was large.
Cons: Bottled water in the room would be good. Also some glasses to drink from. The bathroom could have a better extract system along with a towel rail.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: dinner and lunch there is very nice
Cons: Breakfast buffet is small
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was divine, food good, clean and staff very friendly.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Breakfast is not what used to be ,not a lot of choice now not
1.0 Poor
Pros: Check-in was easy.
Cons: The bed was bad the (one) pillow was like sleeping on a brick. The kettle was full of stale water it smelled. The restaurant was horrendous. It was rowdy, loud and like a working man's club with football loudly playing on TVs everywhere. I felt unsafe because I was sure a fight was going to break out at any moment. The breakfast was better (quieter) and they'd turned the TVs down, although they were still on, but £10 for 'all you can eat' doesn't bode well if you only want toast! Staff were a little defensive and I felt they had many complaints. The Hilton and the Malter are only moments away and my advice is to go there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely comfortable & quiet room with comfy bed and modern decor. Great value for money. Will definitely stay again.

7.9 Good
Pros: Facilities excellent, friendly staff, comfy room, huge TV. Shower was good with large shower head and pool also a great addition with sauna and steam room. Gym was first class was very modern equipment. Great place overall, especially for business trip.
Cons: Car park was very busy at 2pm, but not too far to walk from upper level.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was okay, the breakfast was excellent!
Cons: Our room seemed a long way to walk, when the hotel wasn’t anywhere near full, no upgrade!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely "old world" feel yet not lacking modern amenities. My room was extremely quiet and comfortable. Great value for money with sensibly priced evening meals and an excellent breakfast.
Cons: Perhaps need a lick of paint here and there
5.1 Okay
Pros: Lovely looking hotel from the outside and in a peaceful location. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was tasty.
Cons: Staff seemed mostly miserable and only begrudgingly helpful, except for one member of the housekeeping team, who was exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite. For example, there was no explanation at check-in of the breakfast arrangements, and upon calling to find out and making my way to the sparsely populated dining area, not one member of staff approached me to offer me a table, drink or mention that it was a buffet service. Great customer service, guys. The bedroom was lovely at first sight, if cheaply equipped, but the double bed was a couple of bolted together singles and consequently had an uncomfortable solid ridge down the middle, the frankenstein-esque beds also creaked like they were going to fall apart at any second which really limited the athleticism of our sexual escapades. The walls were paper thin, which meant that our German neighbours (we could hear them talking) in the adjoining room probably got very little sleep between the creaking of our siamese-twin beds and the fact that my girlfriend snores like a dying walrus. Oh, and the room was also loving placed right underneath a spotlight which was mostly unpleasant, except for the fact it made me feel like I had finally made my West End debut... All night. Seriously, if you want to stay somewhere in the £70-£90 bracket go to a nice B&B or a Travelodge, rather than risk disappointment in Oakwood House.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: All very good, in the area to visit family, which suited very well. Not sure what I was expecting, the hotel has been designed very well to mix the old with the new.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel thank you
Cons: Leaving
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was good and staff friendly
Cons: TV didn’t work. Discovered too late in the morning that the shower didn’t work either
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Near to lots of places to visit
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and surrounding were clean. Very helpful night stuff, especially after some of us locked out key cards in the room. Breakfast selection was amazing and tasty absolutely no reason to fault it. We really appreciate the fact that the hotel was able to keep all our rooms close to each other. The service as whole was amazing. Thank you so much Oakwood house. The only thing to be checked by the hotel is the button/knob to change which showerhead the water comes out from in the shower (room 23) - it works but you can see it's got parts missing. Took a few seconds to figure out how to use it though.
Cons: Navigation into the compound was a bit of a mad one because we arrived at night and there was no sign telling us that the hotel was further into the final turning we had to take. Once we arrived everything else went smoothly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very reasonably priced room in a quite interesting building. Food menu was good value and tasty.
Cons: Lack of accessible socket outlets in bedroom - they were under the writing table and I needed to crawl under to access them. Elderly would have struggled to plug anything in. A single socket outlet near the bed head had a round, incompatible main pin. Reading lamp didn’t have a bulb but even after taking one from bedside lamp to test, it didn’t work. Passed these observations to reception staff on leaving. Corridor carpet in bedroom area heavily stained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast brilliant, location for where we were working was brillaint
Cons: nothing as it was excellent

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location , public rooms
Cons: Bed, pillows , room was generally tired , noisy guests at 3,4 and 5am ( not your fault ) breakfast was chaos , and ridiculously expensive for two friends who joined us for breakfast ( £17 !). And then having to pay for parking .... really !

7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were lovely, polite and very helpful. The young lady who provided our massages was great.
Cons: Very noisy at night - guests running up and down the corridors and neighbouring televisions on very loud until 4 am! Also there should not be a car park charge for guests staying at the hotel. No free WiFi - very disappointing :( Leisure club rather dated, especially changing rooms.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: This was probably the worst Hilton I have stayed in my life. The service was slow. The staff ultimately rude especially the night staff. There was obviously a room party going on within the hotel so the quality of sleep that we received was not good music was playing loud into very early hours of the morning. I had two room booked room 221 and room 226 one was a room for my self and one was a room for our parents. We checked out in the morning very early after eating breakfast as we just wanted to get home and sleep and relax something that could not be done that hotel. Obviously people want to have fun but when you have to drive a long way home the next day you would have hoped to have got a good night sleep. Unfortunately this did not happen. And the night staff did not really go and relax anyone to keep the noise down as it continued so sorry for the bad review but it’s honest and would not book at this hotel again.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was fine, although not as good as I expected from a renowned HILTON name. I much doubt that Paris will Stay there. Our bed was NOISY, it creaked all night! I was charged £15 for three nights parking but, after a detailed discussion it was refunded/ There was no mention of this charge when the cost of the three night charge was taken before i arrived. Finally, the dinner menu is appalling. I hate such menu's that have dishes that I do not recognise Or wish to eat!

Pros: They have two room suite which was great for our family.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location excellent right next to service area facilities. The breakfast there was very good.
Cons: We were in an accessible room. The bathroom door was heavy and stiff to move due to runner having been carpeted. It was clearly intended for a person in a wheelchair but the toilet flush handle was quite high. A little expensive due to a Friday night stay.

Pros: Food
Cons: Main car park full because of wedding party so had to use overflow car park down road. Room smelled of drains. Bed could have been more comfortable. Because of wedding party dining room very noisy at breakfast, also not asked if we wanted more coffee/tea/toast. We did not see our waitress after serving breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great. Friendly astmosphere. Breakfast was also good with a choice of full english or continental (weekend menu). Rooms were unique and spacious. It was good to find a full sized kettle for use in the room which would be great for families.
Cons: During my stay the windows were not clean on the outside but obvious this did not affect the quality of my stay but just the quality of my view.
