Cons: Breakfast was crowded, but had good variety.
Pros: Early in the morning we were greeted by wild turkeys from across the field
Cons: Carpets were clean but not up to my standards but I've stayed at many hotels and I'm always bringing my flip flops anyways
Pros: The room layout worked great. It provided a lot of room for the kids to play with their toys and then gave a separate space for sleeping with the kiddos on the sofa sleeper. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Convenient just off the freeway; Pizza place and Starbucks very close. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Not a great TV channel selection for young kids. The channel guide was incorrect.
Pool area is slippery tile with puddles of water. Our 3 year old took a pretty good fall.
Cons: Bathroom area was like something from a cheap hotel room.
Pros: I liked that check out time was noon
Cons: I thought there should have been wifi in the room
Pros: Good selection for breakfast with spacious rooms for families; very accomodating staff; close to old town.
Cons: Noise from nearby airport; in an industrial area with minimal food sources nearby.
Pros: Wanted a hotel that was reasonable in price but with the comforts of home and found this here. The pictures posted are exactly what you get. Very clean! The staff was friendly at the front desk -especially Usha who was very patient with me. My family really enjoyed their hot breakfast and indoor pool :)
Pros: Very comfortable, quiet, clean room with nice workspace/livingroom area set off from the sleeping area. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Cons: Hot tub was not hot and it was 60 and raining.
Pros: Loved every moment. Staff was very welcoming. Definitely will consider staying there again.
Cons: No complaints
Cons: Our first room had blood on the walls. We then moved rooms only to be placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. When we were moved again our room was still dirty but by then we had missed our original plans we had made. We stayed in the third room. The only thing the hotel did was remove a parking charge (which feels like something that should be free for guests anyway). Upon checking out a staff person made a very inappropriate drug related joke to my partner that made us both uncomfortable. When trying to order food from the bar I enquired about the cooking oil as I have food allergies and the staff said she didn't know and refused to find out what was used. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and dirty the entire trip. Definitely will not be staying at the Hyatt again.
Pros: I was there with 3 young children. Very courteous and helpful staff. Pool was perfect for the kids. Breakfast was good, fast and reasonably priced. The hotel is clean and quiet hours were respected. We were there for a reception on the 15th floor which was also fantastic.
Cons: Breakfast was not included
Pros: Staff were very nice. Location is excellent.
Cons: Room was dusty and had finger prints in the bathroom. There was a long black hair in the bed.
Pros: Beautiful view!!!!
Cons: hard to get regulated the hot water,
thin walls, very loud and you can hear every conversations even the cell phone from all rooms no only your neighbors
Cons: Upon check-in, we were given a room that was still occupied. The following morning someone walked into our room while we were sleeping.
Hyatt Regency Sacramento has completely renovated guest rooms, lobby and restaurants. Within walking distance to 200 shops & restaurants.Guest Room renovation completed May 2009.
Pros: Westins are always great, they are always so clean and classy and well ran. It's the reputation. But this hotel specifically is amazing, it's riverside, fairly priced - I mean you get a bang for your buck here. I know people complain about having to pay for wi-fi, but even the price is reasonable. Either way, get off your electronics and enjoy the peaceful view. That's not even the half of it, the service here is amazing. Everyone is happy to help, open doors, offer suggestions and recommendations. Kudos to the management, concierge, bellboys, restaurant workers, maids, valet, receptionists.
Set in the heart of California’s capital, The Westin Sacramento is a peaceful getaway on the banks of the Sacramento River. Downtown—home to the state capitol and the convention center—and Old Sacramento are just a few minutes away. Treat yourself to a decadent session in our full-service, award-winning spa. Relax by the pool or the river while sipping a glass of wine from a local vineyard. Host a memorable gathering in our 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Our 101 luxurious guest rooms and suites ensure a re-energizing stay. The Westin Heavenly® Bed comprises layers of comfort for an uninterrupted night’s rest, while the bathroom offers a deep-soaking claw-foot tub and Westin signature bath amenities.
Cons: That there was 2 bookings for the sane nite in Sacramento and in Medford OREGON and the and I'm need if the hotels where prepaid that means I need to to be money might need to come back to me and the last nite I had dates were wrong so I had to pay the hotel price everything messed up!!!
Pros: Decent breakfast offerings. We like the suite concept with kitchen and amenities. Clean, comfortable.
Cons: The workout facility was small but included three exercise machines, two treadmills and an elliptical that squeaked, wouldn't want to be in suite adjoining the gym. Only one machine had functioning television reception. Mentioned this to front desk, but it was on a weekend, and it wasn't addressed by the time we left Monday.
Pros: Beautiful suite style rooms with a functional kitchen.
Cons: Breakfast staff was rude.
Pros: Cleanliness, quite, no pets, and close to the airport. Staff was very nice and attentive to any needs.
Cons: All the gym equipment was "Out of Order."
Pros: Everything I needed was provided, including dinner! Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the hotel was convenient to my flight out of SMF the next day. Staff was pleasant- especially the food staff.
Cons: Nothing I did not like.
Pros: Hotel was grate staff grate. Location grate food and shopping close by waking distance to sleep Train arena. Highly recommended
Cons: That I had to leave

Pros: Lots of families great continental breakfast with lots of fresh healthy choices very impressed. Pool was a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures.Super close to old Sacramento which is right across the street with train rides horse & buggy etc $30 for Parking on top of $230 a night should be free if not cheaper....
Cons: Size of pool & parking charges were steep
Pros: Large suite. Clean. In down-town. Breakfast ok. Friendly staff. Good location (next to the river).
Cons: Charging for parking was unexpected. Steep WiFi charges also unexpected when it is free in almost all hotels and coffee shops. very disappointed in this nickel and dime strategy. Especially, when they charge nearly 50% over nearest comparable hotel, this is very user unfriendly. Air-condition/heating unit made noise throughout the night. That vent could have been kept away from the bed room.
Pros: Easily reached. Great pillows.
Cons: Fee for wifi. Air condition kept noisily turning off and on all night

Pros: Loved the hammocks on the front porch, relative privacy if you want it, clean bathrooms and showers, friendly and responsive staff, amazing Victorian architecture & fascinating history of the building. Easy walk to Capitol, Old Town, and street cars.
Cons: Downtown neighborhood is deserted on weekends except for a significant homeless population.
Pros: Bad bad
Pros: Very different
Cons: Share room
Pros: Friendly staff, historic building with period furniture.
Cons: Mosquito in my room. But I've stayed here several times before without this problem.
HI Sacramento puts you in a great location, within a 15-minute walk of Historic Governor's Mansion and California State Capitol. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, and free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. This Victorian hostel is also within a short drive of California State Railroad Museum and Crocker Art Museum.
Pros: Shuttle was very accommodating to our schedule & they packed breakfast for our early morning departure! Free wi-fi was awesome and rooms were comfortable. Lots of close by eating places to walk to and very quick ride to the airport.
Cons: Had some problems with the toilet being slow to drain so asked for them to send someone with a plunger - which is what they literally did - guy came to the door and handed me the plunger to unclog the toilet myself!!
Pros: The general appearance as good and had a modem classy feel. Mattress was terrible quality and road noise was loud.
Cons: Road noise and mattress quality were terrible. More than likely won't stay again.
Cons: Facility ran out of parking space

Pros: Very good restaurant and conveniences close to hotel. Proximite to interestate access.
Cons: Breakfast quality was not as good as other Hamptons I had stayed at. Items were consistent but warmth, amount, stocked items etc... not equal
Pros: The front desk clerk didn't have a crib on hand, so he called around to the other hotels in the area until he found one, went to pick it up, then brought it up to our room. We'd be travelling for hours with our 8 month old - this kindness was very much appreciated.

Pros: This hotel is right in Midtown and an easy walk to the Capitol. Nice breakfast and wonderful breakfast staffer Mar-Lyn. She could brighten anyone's day!
Pros: It's a very nice hotel, but I got a suite so my friend and I would have privacy from each other. I told him that I'd take the couch... which was not possible, because the couch was barely bigger than a lazy boy recliner and the only way I could sleep on their couch was if I slept in the fetal position... which wasn't possible. They said all their couches except the one in the handicap accessible room were small like that. Luckily they had one of those rooms left, but it wasn't a suite, so we had no privacy from each other. Also, in the "suite" the "living room" part was only about 7' x7' wide, so it would be challenging to even sleep on the floor in there it's so small. AND THE DOORS ARE MADE OF GLASS.... so once again, don't get the suite for privacy or extra sleeping space. The ONLY thing I can see the suite being good for is if someone likes to watch TV late and doesn't want to wake the person sleeping... otherwise the suites are pointless.
Overall the hotel is very nice, nice decor, friendly staff, awesome location, and walking distance to most anything in downtown. We took a Lyft to the Kings game, but walked back. I'd stay here again, but not if I was with my buddy who I didn't want to share a bed with. The provided ear plugs so we didn't have to listen to each other's snoring.
Cons: The "suite" that was pointless. See above. Also, Parking is on a first come first parked basis. Luckily we got a space and didn't have to move my car. We took a lyft to the Kings game which is way cheaper/easier than paying for parking and losing out space in the garage. Because if you get a parking space at the hotel, if you drive somewhere, your space is not guaranteed when you return.
Pros: I liked that half of the staff I encountered really cared.
Cons: I didn't like how little parking they had. Also, my key cards kept demagnetizing. The receptionist I dealt with the first time said it was because I had it near electronics, but it happened a second time and I was keeping it away from electronics. I was there for three nights and this happened twice.
Cons: The view from our outside windows.
Pros: Staff were great. Room was comfortable. Wonderfully close to all we wanted to do.
Cons: Fitness room closed
Pros: Located in midtown Sacramento . Everything is close restutants , bars, museum... etc...
Cons: Easy to go everywhere
Pros: nice place right in the middle of everything
Cons: rooms are a little small
Focus on your destination at the Inn off Capitol Park, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member in Sacramento, CA. Attractions like the Sacramento Zoo, California Museum and the Discovery Museum Science and Space Center of Sacramento are all nearby. Enjoy amenities like free WiFi, free continental breakfast, an exercise room and free parking. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and deluxe shower. Also, earn rewards including free nights and gift cards with our Choice Privileges Rewards program.
Cons: Staff forgot to address gold status(free breakfast) until I checked out. Paid for two breakfasts I didn't need to...I forgot to remind clerk at check in.. This seems to be a systematic Marriott issue.
Pros: Lots of issues with room - lights not working, TV issues upon arrival and "pat" answer from engineer (remote needs new battery which we knew wasn't the issue but a problem with cable company). First night dinner in "temp" restaurant horrible. Didn't charge for one meal but just no attention to detail, wrong order. Experience better when Joie property.
Pros: Sophisticated decor, helpful staff, "beautiful people" hot spot.
Cons: The noise from both the street and partiers went on until 3 a.m. Motorcycle engines revving, police called on issues in the street, shouting and yelling in the street, all echoed right up to our 7th floor room.
Pros: The staff was great, well trained, accommodating and helpful
Cons: The room was awful! It only had 2 tiny Windows, about 1'x2'. The mattress was old and soft, we kept slidding into the middle and did not get a good nights rest.
Pros: Made a reservation for 2 guest in a queen size room. Got there and checked in @7pm and was notified that I was upgraded to a king size room, big plus on their part! The room was cozy and comforting. It also includes a beautiful bar setup along with a wonderful street view.
Cons: To be completely honest, the one thing I did not like was the shower. The rest of the room was was decorated and painted in its own style including the bathroom. But once you open the shower curtain all you see is plain, boring, tile. Both room and bathroom give off some bomb vibes, except the tile. Just kills the ambient. Other than my pity first world problem place was outstanding.
Pros: The room was nice and clean. Nice appointments. Very comfortable. Large shower.
Cons: The door on the bathroom was a slider and did not actually shut.
Pros: What an amazing historical hotel with a great downtown location. I would recommend this hotel and we'll be back.
Pros: Excellent staff. Wonderful old and superbly renovated building. Three blocks from the Capitol.
Cons: Room was small.
Pros: The restaurant downstairs was awesome
Pros: The location is nice, and the valet staff friendly and responsive.
Cons: We went to a concert that night and arrived back at the hotel at 11 p..m. The restaraunt was closed, and there is no room service avaiilable after this time. The restaurants nearby become nightclubs at this hour, and there are lines to get in. We also could not access our car because valet closes. I also felt that there now needs to be a few fixes or upgrades done. Our room was clean but there was no bathroom lock it was broken...paint touch ups need to be done, and the TV remotes replaced with easier ones to use. This hotel is best for business travelors, event guests (wedding) where they don't need to leave the hotel.
Pros: Stayed overnight for a girls weekend. I was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival and I was very pleased with my room as well as its amenities. Beautiful Chinese soaking tub and every toiletry you can think of. Linens were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the restaurant as well for breakfast and the menu and drinks were to die for! I had a very hard time deciding what have. Fresh squeezed OJ mimosas and bloody Mary's were amazing. I can't wait to have a romantic overnight with the hubby very soon!
Pros: Decor and comfort were the best. Very trendy, great food at Grange, valet, bell boy and front desk were exceptional... with the exception of one night girl.
Cons: The only staff member that " couldn't see" the LARGE ( 3 feet in length ) wine or blood or whatever stain was on my curtains in my original room. Aside from actually completing the transaction of switching my room she was not helpful. My new room keys that she gave me were only 1 out of 2 working. She didn't offer a bell cart, I had to ask. The next morning upon leaving at 5:30 and asking them to check the original room for left behind belongings- she told me " you can go check yourself I'll make you another key". AND she never alerted housekeeping for follow up with the issue. I felt like I had to do all the work for a 4 star boutique hotel in mid town. The only reason I was so displeased with that interaction was that everyone else was outstanding.
The Citizen Hotel is a 196 room boutique property with over 9,000 square feet of function space. The exterior of the building is an early 1900's classic design by architect George Selland. The interiors celebrate the history of California with unique décor that is whimsical with modern amenities. No two rooms are alike and all offer a different perspective of downtown Sacramento. Featuring a farm to fork destination restaurant Grange Restaurant & Bar which has received national accolades and is a local favorite.
Pros: I have always loved this building, and nice hotel rooms for less than $150/night are in short supply in downtown Sacramento. The Sterling gave us outstanding value for a spacious room with enormous Jacuzzi bathtub and beautiful four-poster bed in a gorgeous historic Victorian era home. Check in and check out experience efficient and pleasant, with flexibility on a little extra time for check out. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends with caveats below.
Cons: There is on the street parking but it is metered with a two-hour limit after 8am or before 6pm Mon-Sat, so you will get a parking ticket if you sleep in. The street gutter was filled with leaves, making it a little messy for shoes and luggage. There is a $16 city lot just a block away... But it is a block away. A valet service would be ideal. As other guests have commented, some room elements such as sinks are beginning to show signs of age, but they did not detract from the outstanding value of our room.
Pros: Rooms were lovely, staff friendly (but a tad forgetful at times), location not near nightlife, but if you're looking for a place to stay with character, this is it.
Cons: Continental breakfast was the worst I have had in any hotel. I mean ever.

Guestrooms have cable television with premium TV channels. Each room is individually decorated. Bathrooms feature shower/tub combinations and bathrobes. Guestroom services include housekeeping. Pros: Great location. Walking distance to restaurants. Donut shops. Thrift store shopping everything. We stayed for an athletic event but had some time to do other stuff. Close to a 7 eleven if you need a quick snack and self parking was across the street but easy to get to. A lot of homeless in the area but there is nothing the hotel can do about that. Just be cautious when walking at night.
Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons: The TV service is worst I have seen anywhere. Very basic service. A major basketball game is on ( Warriors ) and they did not have the channel, really! This is a business hotel in Sacramento.
I go to the lobby bar and they have two flat screens circa 2005. Spend $1400 at Costco for two new flat screens.
They missed the attention to detail that is required in this market. Will not stay there again.
Pros: I loved the room service breakfast. And how close it was to everything to do in downtown Sacramento. I had such a blast and everyone was pleasant and helpful during our stay. Definitely staying here again in the fire
Cons: Cannot believe the room have no Internet connection included in the price.
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Staff didn't seem to know the area. I had to go to a coffee shop to even know what neighborhood the hotel was in.
Pros: Proximity to convention center, willingness of staff to accommodate requests

Pros: I needed taxi first thing in the morning, rang the front desk several times (without answer) how could the front desk be unmanned for so long? i finally went downstairs, with little time at this point to spare. I was NOT greeted by the gal at the front desk. She seemed very unhappy to be there and did not make eye contact with me. I explained to her that i had been calling for the last hour for a taxi and no one at the front desk picked up. She didn't apologize or offer any reasoning behind why no one picked up. Short staff, busy morning, nothing! A simple "sorry, what can i do for ya" would have been nice. Needless to stay i had to ask her to call at taxi twice before they actual came. I'm not sure if she was not trained properly or was just having a bad day, in any case not my issue as a customer. Teach your staff how to at least fake it and give a customer a smile once in a while wouldn't hurt and could go a long way.
Also, I was charged 20$ for parking. I did not have a vehicle and the gal that checked me in said they would only keep the card on file and NOT charge any funds. Of course the next day i checked my account and the 20 was taking out. I realize that its 20 bucks but to some people that's a lot of money and in this case its the principle. As a company you say your going to do something then you should do it. That simple.
Cons: At least the bar was open the night before when i checked in a was able to get some food.
Pros: Great service, nice amenities, excellent location, surprisingly swanky room. Super clean and recently remodeled.

Pros: Great to have free parking as a guest. Nice and friendly folk worked there. Breakfast good and lots of options.
Cons: Tv screen was on zoom so you couldn't see the whole screen and the remote didn't allow a fix. Breakfast was too crowded so we didn't bother trying to get it the second day.
Pros: I could walk to my event down town and I could walk to the capitals as well
Cons: Amenities fairly limited, the wifi was very poor in my room. Download speed about 5MB/Sec upload speed less than 1 MB/Sec
Pros: Staff is extremely helpful and friendly - made us feel like they actually wanted us to be there.
Breakfast was great; beds were excellent; bathrooms great .
Cons: Fitness room was minimal.
Pros: Room very clean, nice attention to detail, bed very comfortable, good wifi. Love the indoor/outdoor feel of the hallways.
Cons: Breakfast very processed and ho-hum. This was my third stay here and this time my window overlooked the light rail which was noisy early in the morning.
Pros: Cleanest room I have stayed at in a long time. Very close to midtown and plenty of goody spots. Year round open pool with solar heating. Plenty of free parking to boot!!! And the shower / amenities in the room have definitely been thought over when planning the comfort of the guest.
Cons: The neighborhood didn't feel very friendly, and my room smelled very stale.
Pros: We stayed for a week-long conference at the convention center, which was three easy blocks walking distance away. The breakfast hours were convenient, and there was a wide selection of food, including waffles and biscuits and gravy. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, and friendly staff all contributed to a pleasant stay. It was great to have a fridge and microwave in the room for storing and heating leftovers.
Cons: The only bad thing I can think of to say is that there were some holes in the bedskirts that I noticed, and the sleep function on the TV remote didn't work.
Pros: Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, good location with easy parking
Cons: Our room had a musty smell to it, as if the shower curtain needed to be changed out. We got in at 2:00 am and left the next morning. Had it not been for the brevity of our stay, we probably would have asked for a different room.
Pros: There was food
Cons: Very cramped dinning space, couldn't push stroller very well there and also no scrambled eggs were available
Pros: Room was really nice, very clean. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The wifi was terrible, it cut out every couple of minutes. The water pressure was super weak, very hard t get clean.

Pros: Having two bedrooms so kids didn't sleep in room with us but we were still in the same suite!!!!
A small pool
Cons: Power went out in the am, it was the whole area so I guess the hotel can't control that. Pool could have been bigger for the number of guests using it.

Pros: It was right off the freeway
They changed me from a king size bed to 2 queens my mistake but they worked it out.
The room was spacious
Cons: Location was a bit on the seedy side of town
I forgot a book & they would not accept my credit card for shipping it to me, sent it COD, thought $16.70 was a bit unreasonable.
Pros: Shuttle service superb. Staff helpful. Location - close to airport.
Cons: Room was not to the standard I found the previous visit. Not cleaned properly, radio broken, no phone directory on the hotel phone. Window filthy.
Pros: I liked the configuration of the room with the comfortable couch and the bed.
Cons: The fact that when I exited the hotel property I had to make a u-turn to get back to the freeway.
Pros: Shuttle transportation to downtown was nice.
Cons: It took me forever to check in! They had no record of my reservation, front desk had to call getaroom.com to confirm my reservation. Even though, I had booked three hours prior to arriving.
The room smelled miserably.
The shower drain was plugged and the water would not go down the drain!
Many items in the room were broken (cabinet drawer) or looked very cheap and old.

Cons: The staff was unprofesional. The facilitities were dirty. The hotel is more like a motel with the Holiday Inn Logo in it.
Cons: The hotel room was dirty and had torn curtains. The room needed updating.
Pros: The staff are super friendly and helpful
Pros: Great facility, location, cleanliness, décor and the best breakfast provided at a hotel as complimentary.
Cons: Literally nothing bad about this place that can be controlled. There was a large crowd present for an event, which just made lines longer and service slower (service was still great and the lines were still good).
Cons: The place had bed bugs, bad! Had to change rooms at 4 am because the beds were covered in them, disgusting!! Other than that, which is worse than anything, it 'looked' clean and stuff was nice.
Pros: Great price. Had everything we needed. The staff we very efficient and friendly. Included breakfast was great!!

Pros: Cottage was cleaned and well organized. I love Redwoods and there was a brochure in one of the cabinets about Coastal Redwoods (which made me like the place even more). Dishes were washed, television worked, internet was fine, A/C worked well. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Not enough trees or fauna around. Plants always make an environment more comfortable, especially when the plants are drought resistant.

Pros: Very close to the new Kings arena and downtown nightlife. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.
Pros: Overall the hotel is very clean the location is great, staff is always on the ball and friendly we stayed a extra day..
Cons: Just the bathroom fan didnt work properly.
Pros: Lots of amenities full breakfast included in price. It is a clean, older facility, located in an ideal location for Old Town Sacramento. One
can walk to everything. Good value for the traveler.
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean and good wifi.
Pros: The hotel it self was great. Friendly staff. I ask for a quiet room and they put me on the 3rd floor in the corner away from the street and things seemed perfect.
Cons: We ended up with neighbors that not only had a young child but also many guests. They were smokers and would lounge on the deck into the late night/early morning and their voices could be heard clearly/loudly in our room. VERY disturbing. Be weary about booking here on holidays.
Pros: Very nice customer service
Pros: Despite arriving late due to delayed flights, we were received quickly, got our choice of rooms, and got to them quickly. The room was clean, a reasonable size, and remarkably quiet given the proximity to the train station and the freeway.
Cons: ...at 7am one of the gardeners started a leafblower. what?
The included breakfast is pretty good for what you get... it would be nice if there were some fresh fruit options for those who don't eat bread.
Pros: I loved everything else but my phone won't let me rate you any better.
Cons: Our heater was busted and we had to switch rooms.
Pros: Perfect location, walking distance from old town
Cons: people were smoking weed outside of their room, and banging their walls and disturbing us. Didn't feel safe. The rooms had a lot of dust and bathroom had mold
Pros: convenient walking distance to both Old Town and Downtown Sac.
free shuttle to and from airport
clean, well-managed breakfast room
delicious, broad selection of breakfast foods
easy on the pocket book
Cons: minor structural problems, ex: peeling front door paint
Pros: The staff went out of their way - every one of them, day or night shift - to accommodate our requests. So very friendly and always smiling and ready to greet us at the desk, in the breakfast room, in the hallways. The free internet, unexpectedly excellent breakfast selection, microwave and refrigerator were a huge bonus. These amenities were not provided in the last couple of luxury hotels I stayed in. The bedding is luxurious. The location could not be better.
Cons: The outside room doors need attention; they look shabby and worn. But they belie the comfort and appearance of the inside of the room.
