Shuttle driver from DFW airport was obnoxious -- chastized us for standing in the wrong location, even though we stood exactly where the front desk told us to stand for shuttle pickup. The front desk agent was also snaughty -- If I hadn't have been staying here for a business conference, I would have checked out and gone to a different hotel. Both of the ladies in the Concierge Lounge were very nice and helpful. Front desk was again uncooperative when we asked for a late check out due to our plane being late. The building was nice, but the staff (with the exception of the Concierge Lounge staff) were awful. The building itself was very nice. The swimming pool was freezing cold and dirty. If you want a relaxing time, I recommend you go to a different hotel.
My stay at the Marriott DFW Solana was a pleasant experience in every way. I was promptly picked up at DFW by their shuttle, check-in was quick and easy, and my room was nicely furnished and clean. The lobby bar is very large an spacious with a very high ceiling, and the staff there is just as nice as the front desk staff. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.
In my opinion, Marriott Properties greatest assets are their employees. Every time I have stayed at this hotel as well as other Marriott properties, their staff is exceptional - they always make me feel very welcome and are always ready to answer any questions I may have. The rooms are clean and recently renovated however; I do not find the bed very comfortable. Shuttle service is amazing and very accommodating.
A good property if you need to visit Sabre Headquarters. It is clean and the staff is friendly, it is just a bit far from many places to eat. You are kind of a captive audience if you stay at this property. Would not recommend rooms on the 1st floor, it feels like you are in the basement.
Sometimes you can get this hotel for a steal and other times it's really full and the rates are much higher. Either way - I'm always happy at this hotel! It has a very welcoming appeal in the front lobby and a comfortable lounge and bar. The rooms are well kept and the beds are super comfy.
The Hotel generally is of a high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The complimentary shuttle is extremely useful for those without a car. I used it to and from DFW airport, plus vists to local shops. The gym was very tightly packed and a bit claustrophobic, but the machines were good quality and all had TV monitors to relieve the work-out boredom! There is a larger fitness club 5 minutes walk away, but I didn't sample it. The only downside was that the cost of direct-dial international calls from room are very expensive; I belive they should publish the rates so that you are aware of this fact; although I suppose most business travellers would be aware of this. Also, there was no in-room safe which was suprising for a Marriott.
Considering it's a fairly basic hotel in an office-park area with very little else around, I was surprised to find that this Marriott had such bad signage. I arrived late at night, and after a bit of confusion parked in a lot near what I hoped was the front entrance of the hotel. Once I actually found the front entrance, the front desk staff informed that I would be towed if I left my car in that lot. (Glad I asked about it.) I asked for directions to the hotel's underground lot, but even then it took me a while to find it. My room was on Floor 1. You'd think this would be above the lobby floor, but it was below. From bottom to top, the elevator floors go 1, Lobby, 2, 3, 4, etc. The nice thing about Floor 1 is that it's a straight shot to the garage--no elevator needed. Everything else at the hotel was very nice. The room was spacious, the food at the bar good, and the staff friendly.
Stayed a night at the hotel after an ice storm. Was able to make the booking on short notice. Room was fine, hotel was good. Underground parking helpful as a result of the weather. Unfortunately, food service seemed a bit limited as a result of the storm. I woul d stay here again.
I like the hotel but I just don't like the beds they have - I find it hard to get a good nights sleep. Other than that this is a great hotel. Also avoid the first and second floor as it can be a bit noisy.
Opinions differ widely about this hotel - I love it, but hey, what dio I know (I only spent 14 years in the hotel business!). Good shuttle from DFW, good check-in - refurbished guest rooms with Marriott linens and the new (for me) 'connections hub' (that allows you to plug your laptop into the flatscreen TV. Public areas are being refurbished which means a temprary (poky) bar area. F&B is NOT a great feature here - shame really - I guess if you bring a car you can drive a few miles to Southlake, or back towards DFW, where there's every type of restaurant you can imagine. But if you're without a car, they could do with a more imaginative offering. In the summer the outdoor pool is nice. It's a business travellers' pit stop, but a very attractive one.
I would definitely stay here again. The room was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and they even have a shuttle going back and forth to Southlake Town Center. Loved it!

Looking at this place from the outside, you think it is going to be pretty Sweeeeeet! Overall it was, except for the room. Room was clean, but not close to being worth $250 a night. Room was more like what you would see in a 2.0 star hotel. Nothing to brag about at all. If the room was as nice as the rest of the resort you wouldnt be able to say much bad about this place. I would have to say they ARE understaffed for a place this large. Hard to find anybody to help you at times. Seriously, the staff was outstanding if you could find them. However, the rest of the resort was very nice. Actually beautiful atrium area with restaurants (Steak, Italian, Mexican food), good sized fountain, flowers, trees, and other things as well. There were quite of few shops as well bars and sports bars in the resort. They did have a Starbucks in the lobby as well (which made the wife happy as well as the rest of that loooooooong line waiting to get their fix). The water park they have (for guests only) was pretty nice. Adults and kids alike were all enjoying it. They did have a really nice bar there and also served food if you wanted to make a day of it. Overall, pretty nice place The room is a lot to be desired. Stayed at better rooms in a lot CHEAPER motels. Yes, it was clean, but for a $250 a night resort room, I would definitely expect more. A bit understaffed for a place this large. Hard to find anybody to help or even ask questions to, at times. Having to pay $19 dollars to SELF park is ridiculous But then so is $30 for them to park it for you.
I loved the Staff and customer service! Those brilliant smiles serves great Texas hospitality! There was nothing I didn't like! The Gaylord is home away from home!
Room was clean, if you have family there is a lot for kids to do (at least around xmas which is when we went) Glass Cactus club was neat. The pre-check in email asking what your preferences are... DON'T waste 1 minute of your time on that! asked for either a higher room/floor OR a view room... Specifically made a note in the comments that a room higher up was desired.. Got a parking lot, first floor room and the hall was FULL of kids and no parents! Kids were running up and down the halls all day and HALF the night... Also, restaurant staff was not very friendly, lost my reservation and then tried to make ME look like the fool.... But I had a confirmation email to prove the reservation.... So it was just a poor experience.. Staff was either great OR terrible... Grossly understaffed... I know for $220/night it felt more like a "fancy" 2.5 star hotel... I have had much better service at cheaper big-brand hotels and this hotels amenities dod NOT warrant the cost.. I had high hopes for this resort and sadly was let down..
The Gaylord Texas was a great stay. We had problems when I got to the hotel (but not with the Gaylord Texan) we called the front desk and they moved us into a larger king size room, large enough to fit two roll away beds for the kids at no extra charge. After this problem the vacation was wonderful. When I booked the hotel room I put down 4 adults where I thought their would be enough room for all four but when we got to the room it was a standard size king room with only a king size room. I was expecting a pull out bed or at least couch for 4 adults. I would suggest showing a room layout for the consumer so someone doesn't get confused with what they are purchasing.

The staff were great! We had a group of teenagers camped in front of a broken vebding machine. After I informed the staff they promptly restocked the vending machine and fixed it. A few cons, as with anything. Overall, the hotel has a good location and I would recommend this hotel to future families passing through DFW. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for my children. In addition our room was very warm. We set the thermostat as low as it would go and we still could not get the temperature below 71. Since we were only there one night we did not have it looked at. However given the attentiveness the previous day I have no doubt it would have been looked at promptly.

I love the waterpark and our room EXPENSIVE, not just the rooms but everything at the lodge is way overpriced...Who has valet parking at a place advertised to be a family hotel, come on now....The waterpark is the only thing included with your room rate, beware of all the add-ons! If you are a Harry Potter fan you will love the hotel but bring your wallet because to play the game it will be roughly $80 per person - Note that's more than admission into SIX FLAGS...just sayin!
The water park was a lot of fun for my little one, I do think that it can be kept cleaner though. Dirty floors and towels. There wasn't much to do besides the water park that didn't require tons of money. Besides the magiquest there wasn't much to do and we didn't even do that because it takes on average 3-5 hours.
safe and well managed water park with LOTS of lifeguards. integrated room-key/payment system on adult wrist bracelets works everywhere, including vending machines. very expensive, $65 dinner buffet, $60 breakfast buffet, plus tips for a family of 4. Magic quest scavenger hunt game $30-$50 per child. Parking is difficult.
fun place for kids and family oriented, great location I'm grapevine, tx. this time we had a great view from our room and really liked being on 4th floor, easy access to lobby and the resturant! and we were close to the elevators! beside the room being very expensive the food and drink especially by the pool area was very pricey! the lines were long for the kids slide! the carpet had few big stain on it, we went there last year and they changed our room because the carport had several stain on it! i also wish the kids can use the wifi for their x box live, when i called the front desk they said they don't have that option any more for the video game! my boys were a bit bummed out! but overall they had a good time!
Indoor water park is included with your stay. We have been going to the Great Wolf every December for 9 years now. Our three kids have always enjoyed our stay here until this year 2016. Sadly this location is in decline and needing to be running at 110%. Staff very sweet and apologetic, but apologies don't get me my full experience for my dollar. Our room was not ready at 4:00pm check in. It took 2 hours and 23minutes to get our room. The Hotel did not offer anything for this inconvenience, I had to ask. (We we're not the only family who's room was not ready...many others were being told the same thing.The 2nd day 1/2 the water park rides and pools were closed. Disappointed this year. Reconsidering our trip next December. Might start new tradition.
First and most importantly, my children had a blast. My oldest loved the slides and the younger two enjoyed the pools/play areas bot inside and outside. As parents, we liked the outside area better for less chlorine smell and burn. The staff was very nice and attentive from the front desk to the cleaning ladies to the lifeguard and activity leaders. The front desk gave my son a special birthday wolf ears and a token for a free ice cream since he just had his birthday. There was a lot to do besides just the water park which was nice. Our room was clean when we arrived and that was the first thing we checked. I read reviews of crumbs in beds, bed bugs, mold in the bathrooms and so on so I was very nervous about this. But our rooms were great. We loved that they had starbucks right in the lodge! We only got lunch items from the Lodge and went out to dinner off property but we didn't find the food to be that bad or overpriced. My suggestion would be to order a whole pizza instead of slices and just reheat in the microwave for following days to save a lot of money! We also purchased 2 refillable cups and used them for the whole trip which was nice. I was also happy that they had salad options for us adults who didn't want to go overboard on unhealthy choices. And for those that are really on a budget, the rooms have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We brought breakfast and snacks and even brought our own toaster from home. You can eat whatever you want in your room instead of buying everything there. All of the guests that we had interactions with were nice and also seemed to be having a great time. The location is great with a grocery store, restaurants and entertainment nearby so while you may be tempted to never leave the hotel, you have many options around. If you forget anything don't worry, they have a lot of clothing, toiletries, bags, bathing suits and so on for purchase right at the lodge. You never really need to leave if you don't want to which is great for people who take a flight there. As some other reviewers mentioned, there is a strong smell of chlorine in the inside part. But honestly, this is expected and similar to every indoor pool I have ever been to. But for this reason we spent most of our time at the outdoor section. Renting a cabana is very expensive. Apparently the price changes daily but when we asked it was $170. We were able to find some shaded seats although they are a little hard to come by. Other people mentioned rust and I didn't see it until I waited in line for the slides with my oldest son. There is some rust along the stairs and on the doors to the bathroom. Did I ever feel nervous about it, no. It was NOT rusty nails sticking up all over the place that a kid could easily run over and get hurt on. It is a very moist and corrosive environment so it is bound to happen. Would it be better if they fixed it, yes. But again, I wasn't too worried. The water in our shower would have pockets of colder water come here and there, again not the end of the world but not perfect either. On the flip side, the sink water in the inside downstairs bathroom was incredibly hot, I had to collect the water in my hands and hope it cooled enough to then rinse my kids' hands. They have a candy area right by the refillable drinks that my youngest was attracted to and we had to keep on pulling him away. One of my children has type 1 diabetes and a gluten allergy so we try to stay away from candy, sweets and bakery items for the whole family when we are with her. The placement of this candy and lack of alternative items made for some sour moments but luckily I came prepared with snacks of our own.

Location in proximity to where we wanted to go. Staff was friendly. Room service was good. I paid neArly twice the rate of a 3-star to get executive level amenities. We ended up in a normal king room. Not sure if that was a mistake or their definition of executive level.

Large, clean rooms, & friendly, helpful staff Pool was cloudy with heavy chlorine. I'm guessing chemicals were not right. Didn't like that the Hurst justice center was right across the street, but it seems that this is a factor for most of the hotels in Hurst.
The staff was very friendly and created a welcoming environment from check in to check out. In addition, the gallery was open 24/7 with a wide selection of food and drink. We had an issue with the TV during our stay, but maintenance fixed it within 15 minutes and the front desk reversed our charges. Location wise, this hotel is perfect. It is located catty corner from the police station which makes it feel like a secure place. In addition, the location allows prime access to multiple eateries and retail outlets as well as easy access to the main thoroughfares of the metroplex. Would recommend to anyone. The building was a bit old, however renovations covered that up and made it feel more modern.
Staff was super friendly. We are a young couple from Louisiana. We visited to go to Six Flags. Not a bad drive to get to the park. Clean rooms, fairly comfortable beds, nice breakfast. There was a little league team staying and the hotel was pretty booked but it wasn't a long wait for breakfast. Right across the street from a delicious Mexican restaurant with amazing margaritas. We also visited the hotel bar and they made yummy drinks. Overall great getaway! Elevators were a little slow but nothing terrible!

First room was clean, no odors. Second room we were moved to was also clean. Hotel location was average. Parking lot was clean. Checked in on a business trip at midnight. King room, reserved, "over-sold." Same with 2 queens. Given small room with two twins. AC did not work. Staff agreed to move us the next day to a King, with some arm-twisting. Breakfast below average. Was not terrible, but next time may try another hotel in area.

The taxi service for Comfort Inn was reliable and on time. A Continental Breakfast could have been available at 5:00 or 5:30 AM for travelers that needed to leave Comfort Inn for the airport at 6:00 AM.

Convenient location with access to the airport, free (albeit small) breakfast, very quiet, kind and professional staff. Overpriced for what it was, very poor water pressure in the shower, poor availability of hot water, slightly run down, bed was far too firm.
Proximity to airport. In 4 days I needed to request new room keys 6 times. The shower faucet handle broke in half when I tried to use it. They did not have a bottle-opener to lend, (which is annoying but not a deal-killer), but when asked they suggested I go to the Wal-Mart to get one. But there was a convenience store across the street that had some. Overall they were clueless/indifferent.

Upon asking my name, the front desk staff quickly told me that there was not such a reservation, and there were several Springhill hotels in town. That was not a warm welcome when you thought you had finally arrived at the destination after a day of driving! I had to insist that this was the right hotel, and it turned out that he got my name wrong. If he could just ask my name once again, it would be a much better experience. I love everything about this hotel, and in fact all of the hotel staff were very courteous except this particular one.
Location is perfect for short stays near DFW due to being co-located with Southlake Town Centre shopping mall. This gives you walking access to shops and restaurants and is a lovely place to hang out.

The big bathtub was nice i went to hotels.com to book a room at the Gaylord Texan and i dont know if i made a mistake or hotels.com made a mistake when i recieved my confirmation e-mail i noticed it was booked at comfort suite instead of gaylord. and it was past the deadline to cancel.... so in all honesty i started my stay dissatisfied. your hotel was ok, its just not where i wanted to stay(no offense).
Other hotels in the area were much more expensive than Comfort Suites. The room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked with food to begin a busy day.
I was impressed on the room very spacious and beds were comfortable and service was very friendly. The bath was amazing and the room was very clean. Can't think of anything bad just that there was construction around the hotel but that's really out of their reach.

It has everything a business traveler would want. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I was allowed to cancel one of our 5 rooms when one of our group had an emergency, even though the deadline had technically passed.

Location near ATT Stadium and DFW airport was great. Having a shuttle service to pick us up from the airport was a huge bonus. They also offer the shuttle to guests for short trips within 5 miles of the hotel This made getting lunch and breakfast much better. Walking to nearby restaurants can be hazardous. Lots of traffic at freeway speeds. Great local and chain restaurants nearby to take care of your hunger. The room was clean and fresh. A/C worked perfectly. All of the staff were super nice and very accommodating to our needs and questions. Would definitely recommend La Quinta for a business trip or a stay for a concert or ball game.

Everything but the bath tub. The bath tub seems like it was designed to murder people. Even with the anti-slip mat. I almost slipped a couple of times. It's just a weird shape. Too oval I think.

Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast and coffee. Easy to get on and off the highway. Only two restaurants within walking distance, so if you do not have a car eating is limited. Both Restaurants are fine.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even extended my check out time to allow me to figure out a solution for my broken down rental car. They helped make a bad situation less stressful for me. I will definitely plan to stay here for future trips to Dallas. Thank you Best Western Plus!

Friendly staff. Room was clean. All Gym equipment was in working order. Great breakfast. Our family will be traveling to the area another 3 or 4 times this year. And we will be staying here again. The beds were a little hard to suit my taste. But my wife found it comfortable.

The buffet was $10 for adults and $5 for children. There were lots of places to eat nearby. One restaurant was in the adjacent parking lot. If you don't like franchise restaurants you can drive down Main Street where there are several local restaurants that looked good. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely go back For the price the breakfast buffet was overpriced. My 6 year old doesn't eat $5 worth of anything

Food was good..nice little bar area and workout room. A/C unit was really loud in the room.. Hard to get to sleep..the last night there was buzz..like white noise coming from somewhere like a light in the hallway...sounded like high pitched vacum cleaner...could use a little more water pressure in shower but it was ok. Would like not to have to pay for breakfast but it's ok..good trade off for such a good room price.

The hotel was surprisingly new. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious, immaculately clean and kept that way by the outstanding housekeeping staff. Public spaces were very inviting. Free in-room internet was perfectly adequate. Only 2 minor aspects that I did not like: (1) Room lighting was barely adequate. Even with all lights turned on it was still a bit dark. (2) Room could use an additional table, for example, a coffee table. There was plenty of room for one.
