Colonel Wood House is about a ten minute walk from the centre of Westport, which is the best place to base yourself if you are travelling around Mayo as it has excellent pubs and restaurants. Hubert is a friendly and helpful host and even offered to drive us into town. The room we had was spacious with two comfortable double beds.
One minor gripe would be that the electric shower's water pressure was weak, Otherwise we had an enjoyable stay and I would definitely stay there again.
I nice place to stay, very reasonably priced, comfortable bed and friendly owner. I would definitely stay here again. Room was a good size, nice en suit bathroom. Good option for the budget conscious traveller in the beautiful town of Westport, a town where accommodation can be pricey.

would be good to have breakfast room & beds were a bit cold (frosty on the night of our stay) beds were a bit hard not very comfortable
