It was quiet, beautiful setting, breakfast was extremely good and the owners were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. The experience for us was wonderful.
Family Görtz was really friendly and helpfull. The room was big and clean, it had a beatiful views as well. Ambiente agradable, zona preciosa y buen precio. The fridge was very useful but a little boit noisy at night
very warm and helpful. The family was generous and welcoming. Lots too see and do in near by towns. Black Forest train is convenient for visiting various town attractions. Renting a bike is recommended if don't have a car. internet access
The staff was very nice. No problem of communication (The hostess speaks english fluently and is very friendly). Schiltach is a beautifull village.
Delicious food, sparkling clean and comfortable room, the warm welcome from the owners, beautiful location. Had two delicious meals cooked by one of the owners, who is an excellent chef. We had a wonderful stay at Zur alten Brucke and highly recommend it if you are in Shiltach.
the hospitality of the hosts was exceptional. They could not do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. The friendly atmosphere was conducive to a most pleasant stay of 3 nights.
Wery friendly staff, Wery good location, Historick house. Excellent sercices. Good breakfast.
The hotel is in a fantastic location in a very pretty village. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. We ate at the restaurant both nights and found it to serve good hearty meals. The hotel seems to be a little "tired", and there was mess in the public areas downstairs. Little things I know, but they do leave an impression.
This is the second time myself, my husband and a friend have stayed at Landhaus Lauble and we absolutely love it. We had a wonderful room with a balcony which was spotlessly clean, the food was simply amazing, the only problem being what delicious dish to pick off the extensive menu. This is a family run hotel in an absolutely stunning area and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I can't wait to go back!!! I booked a double room for myself and my husband and a room for a friend and both rooms were really lovely.
Nice little town Small room half modern made to look old and poorly at that. The maid knocked on our door at 10:00 saying it was time to check out. I told her I had rarely seen hotels with a checkout that early and would need another 30 minutes until my wife was ready. She said no then stood in the hallway the rest of the time and watched me carry down the luggage. The hotel was practically empty and there was no reason for this. Lastly there are only 4 parking spaces which not only hotel guests but people who just come to look at the town can use. There other parking area is a long walk away. I stayed at many great hotels in Germany. This was not one
beautiful scenery, very restful and good location
The staff were very friendly, the hotel was in an excellent location and the food was very good.
This was a beautiful old inn in a picturesque town. Staff was friendly although they didn't speak English. Rooms were very clean and bottles of water were no charge. Breakfast was good but quite different than what you'd find in North America. Located steps from everywhere in town and an absolute beautiful setting. We would stay there again. The staff were cleaning the rooms way too early in the mornings. Impossible to sleep in past 8am because vacuums were going, doors slamming and if you're room is quiet, they will even enter while you're still there, although they apologize and leave right away.
Fabulous value at £45 for two with breakfast and evening food is just superb quality and value from around £10 a head. Hotel is right in the villages's glorious half-timbered Market Place. Could not fault it
Wonderful location & beautiful hotel building. Felt very welcome, service was good
Friendly atmosphere, excellent location
Had a great stay, staff & location excellent, rooms very comfy!!
Perfect location on the beautiful town square. Old building traditionally furnished to resemble middle age living (at least my room), very nice romantic atmosphere, attention to detail. Clean. Nice, bright and spacious breakfast room viewing onto square. Friendly staff. Mattress could be better.
Everything. The hotel is easy walking distance from either rail stations (Schiltach or Schiltach Mitte) and close to the rest of Schiltach's attractions. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the restaurant is very nice. Free wireless internet is good also.
A very well appointed hotel with excellent facilites, very much off the beaten track - by 7 km! Food is good and there was a good selection on the wine list. It would I am sure be an great centre for a walking or adventure sports holiday.
The owners and staff were very friendly. Everything was first class indeed.
The location was great and peaceful. The food was absolutely fantastic. It was worth the trip in and of itself.
The location of the this hotel was 7K up a mountain, absolutely beautiful! The dining experience was wonderful, the food was delicious. The bed was just not comfortable...
Spacious and clean rooms, peaceful surroundings, staff was very friendly.
Nice Hotel, fine big room.
Yes, there were many things we disliked, such as: a very unfriendly stuff, the heat was turned off during nights foe economical purposes, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, no sopas or shower gels. If you return to your room after 10.00 pm they lock you outside, and don't let you in untill morning, so it is prefferable to also get a tent while hosted by this pension.
Fantastic room, more like a suite really and with a balcony. All looking very new and in excellent condition. The place was absolutely spotless. Lovely garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for a holiday in the Black Forest area. The hotel only does breakfast and snack meals. However there are good restaurants within easy walking distance.
Space and quietness No hand soap in bedrooms
Very nice hotel, from staff to all services everythings is excellent.
Unclear room pricing (charged per person).
Good Breakfest, quite, very nice area, comfortable bed
The hotel was very beautiful and comfortable. It is located in a beautiful part of the black forest. There was no phone or internet available in my room. Breakfast was only served from 9-10. The restaurant was rarely open.
Situation at place, friendliness of staff and owner we missed a bit the Restaurant, however, staff gave very good advise for a close by Restaurant
1. The surroundings is calm and peaceful. 2. The room is quite newly equipped even with a safe. 3. The bathroom is tiny but the shower is strong and hot which is very comfortable during cold days The breakfast is up to the level. 4. The staff is very friendly and capable to speak English fluently. 1. The TV is too small. 2. The main curtains can't fully cover the windows, which makes insecure when we turn on the light at night.
Very nice room with a nice view in a lovely nature surroundings with nice villages and friendly people. Fair personnel and a good breakfast. Certainly very good value for money ! n.a.- all was fine
Wonderful accommodation - We booked a family room for 4 people, expecting to be all in one room, we were so surprised when we checked in and found that there were two bedrooms and a toilet upstairs and a lounge area with a seperate toilet and separate bathroom downstairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.
Hotel was in an ideal peaceful location and had been planned nicely, especially for the extension that has been built for extra guests. Information provided by the hotel was sometimes wrong or non-existent. Didn't like the fact that you were told where to sit for breakfast or the fact that there was a definite difference between coach parties and other guests. Some of the towels in bedrooms were a little frayed around the edges but this was the only fault around the comfort of the rooms at all. No tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
We booked this hotel as a stopover enroute to Austria, but could quite happily have spent the week here. The family room was very spacious with a living area downstairs, 3 seperate shower/wc's and was immaculately clean. The breakfast was superb and we look forward to a return visit next year, but this time to stay for longer! No
Very comfortable. Well-appointed. Peaceful environment. Friendly staff. Nothing!
Lovely location. Nice food. Helpfull staff.
Nice location with ample parking on site. Comfortable rooms. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful. A struggle for non- German speakers.
venue hospitality no
The room was fantastic, the service was conistently excellent and friendly and the location perfect
Nice located in smalll town, friendy staff In my room furniture was worn out: e.g. sofa / chairs in bad shape. room needs refurbishing.
It was a wonderful place for a holiday. This was our second holiday at this hotel
The views were amazing. Nice large rooms, large bathrooms. Walking paths all around - you could spend days just exploring! Nice breakfast. Since it is an old building, you tend to hear through the walls easier. Spot lights on the hotel stay on until midnight, lighting up the rooms on that side - the curtains are not black out and the rooms stay lit up.
Highly recommend this castle hotel. The staff was exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful, the dinner was delicious with large quantities and variety of selection, the view was exceptional, the room was large and well appointed. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return.
The staff was great and spoke English. The price was high.
the evening meal was nice and the location was fab with great views on arrival we were met by the family dog which growled at us until called off. the hotel was run down on the outside, the reception and bar area were ok. the dinning room floor was sticky and there was cobwebs, indicating a lack of cleaning. our room was tired and the wallpaper was peeling, the towels were frayed and worn out. the breakfast was poor, on the first morning we arrived for breakfast at 8.30am to find very little left and nothing was done to replenish it. the owners small child was sat on some steps in the dinning room eating her breakfast, she then started crying which was quite unpleasant, this was not a romantic break. the hotel was cold, all radiators on frost.
The staff was friendly and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves good food.
We have stayed at this hotel before and it's excellent value, the meals are delicious and the portions are huge. It's in a quiet rural location
Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful: we had booked a triple room, and they made a mistake, but directly gave us 2 rooms. We also got some bikes for a ride.
The room and the balcony were acceptable. The staff were unfriendly, cold and unhelpful. They didn't speak any English and didn't make any effort to point out local sites and places to visit.Bike rentals were advertised but there weren't any available either. The food was awful and expensive.
A beautiful location, with wonderfully friendly & helpful staff. My third time of staying there - hope to come back yet again.
