Pros: Warm and welcoming atmosphere; a touch of class in te lakes region; exceptionally friendly staff.
Pros: Great location. Nice lawn with gazebo, chairs and a fire pit with view of the lake. The room was good size and included terry bath robe and slippers, ironing board and iron. Friendly staff who gave us a 20% coupon to Inn restaurant.
Cons: Beach area is next to motor boat moorings with gas/oil leakage in the water.
Pros: Excellent location, staff, and restaurant. Nice room but nothing special. Refrigerator in room.
Cons: Our only complaint was that he room was very hot. we could not turn on the A/C so we slept with the window open!
Pros: Nice people, but lack of charm and personality for the hotel . Looks old
Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Hotel grounds
Cons: Staff was not friendly, lock to room a problem but staff did not offer to change room or lock. Room small and dark.
I would recommend this hotel to others.
Pros: Old world feel but with modern conveniences. Excellent restaurant attached. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms up-to-date. Plenty of parking near downtown Wolfeboro.
Cons: Rooms could be updated and lighting was gloomy. Could not see to read a book!
Although very competent and professional, it would be nice to see a little more enthusiasm and friendliness from the staff.(In frequent visits to Wolfeboro, we've noticed this business ingredient surprisingly lacking community wide.)In a town with great reliance and reputation on tourism this seems contrary to what one would expect.
Pros: Great location and a very comfortable room. Upon check-in we were please to be given a room with a view of the lake.
Cons: The mattress was well worn and could use a 'flipping, turning or maybe even a replacement'. Very nice complimentary lobby coffee / tea set up in the morning. Overall, a very nice experience.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean.
Cons: Run down, old, dirty. No redeeming qualities at all. Wanted to leave immediately but stayed because we prepaid and knew we wouldn't get our money back.
Pros: Needed a place for 2 nights while my Condo was being prepared. found this off season for a very reasonable price.
Good restaurant and pool/gym.
Cons: Very small room. Not even a desk to work on.
When visiting Gilford, Gunstock Inn & Resort is a great choice to consider. The indoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Schuster's Tavern, which serves American cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. There's a fitness center, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: Liked having a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot in the room.
Cons: The place seemed more like low income housing! Many full time residents live there with children, dogs, old vehicles, gas grills and more cluttering the grounds of the complex. Forget about the continental breakfast, not very sanitary nor fresh.
