Most of the hostels in York can be found in the center of the city, which makes for easy navigation if in this medieval city. Its long history means that there are many famous landmarks, like York Castle and its museum, Jorvik Viking Center, or iconic York Minster Cathedral at the city’s heart. In addition to a local bus system, there is also the York Rail Station, which provides connections to Leeds Bradford Airport, while vehicular traffic uses the A1036, which is the main thoroughfare around the city.
