Excellent facilities and well maintained The only negative (which is more of a hotel luxury) is that we could not leave our bags there for the day while we explored Napa on our last day. We were however able to take them with us in Uber's/Lyft's the rest of the afternoon without issue.
The staff was very attentive and hospitable during our entire stay! A staff member greeted us at our car upon arrival to ask us for help and another member (RJ) turned on the fire pit for us when we were having a family lunch. My son gained a new friend. None
Hotel location is very good close to downtown riverfront and a quick walk to the oxbow market. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Nightly free wine tasting. They had smores kits available at the fire pit at no charge which was nice treat. I thought the shower was not hot enough and wish it was more high pressure
I loved the bathroom, it has a very romatic setting. I also loved hearing the birds in the morning very peaceful. I would recommend that you offer a welcome wine and cheese infront of your fireplace area. That would have topped it off for me.
Very clean people at the front desk were very helpful and were to go and how to get they! Would say just a very quint place to stay if you are going to wine country
Decent room, most staff was very friendly Lost our reservation and ended up with a King + sofa sleeper instead of 2 queen beds. The staff at the restaurant seemed really rude.
great value for your money subpar lobby
The hotel is localized in a wonderfull place. Our room was at the river side,it was fantastic!! We didn't like the lack of room in the breakfast.
Hotel and rooms are nicely appointed first floor river view rooms have no view of the river
The lobby area/bar was inviting, clean and comfortable. We had a glass of Napa wine by the fireplace and ordered appetizers. The back patio was inviting as well! Just a nice set up. People who had been in the fitness room working out, very sweaty, came straight to the breakfast room to eat without consideration for others. Gross!
free continental breakfast, airline check-in kiosk, location, great staff
Bed was comfortable. They placed us in a room that was the first one by the lobby and restaurant. It was loud and noisy. The balcony overlooked right into the restaurant's outdoor seating, which was very disturbing. So the 2nd night, I requested a change. They placed in another room that smelled like hospital. I wouldn't stay here again with cost/reward not attractive.
Good size room. Clean and functional. Common areas. Lobby and bar were very dark and uninviting. Looks like they may need a redo with some lighting. No bellman -- you're on your own with your bags.
The room was so very comfortable, absolutely great knowledgeable staff, who know the answer to any question you could ask. Also a great selection of guest towels in different sizes. Nothing
quiet and comfortable the person at the front desk was not nice at check in. she for some reason only got nice after check in. friends staying at the hotel thought the same thing. your 1st impression was not a welcome one.
Fortunately for us, we were upgraded to a suite. It was incredible, filled with high-end designer furnishings: tony mix of Senufo (African) stools, Shoji (Japanese) screens, Kuba (African) pillows. Huge granite bathtub with view into private interior Japanese courtyard (bamboo, rocks.) Doorless shower with two heads. Double granite bowl sinks on granite Parson's style cabinet. Black cement floors, two loveseats on rug in front of gas fireplace. Private deck with lounge chairs facing brook. Nightly wine and cheese samplings and a daily gourmet breakfast: fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, organic yogurt, some type of egg dish, quiche, French roast coffee. Our rug was not vaccumed (we had dropped cookie crumbs on it) and our coffee supply was not replenished. Not a huge problem, but for an establishment of this quality, a bit surprising.
This hotel is amazing, a great place to get away and relax. The atmosphere is calm and soothing. The grounds are beautiful and the interiors are gorgeous. Breakfast is lovely and simple but wonderfully executed. Whether staying in the main house or in the zen suites, the hotel is worth the trip. We've stayed here 4 times and never had a bad moment.
The room's setting, with it's private garden and secluded, peaceful nature, were outstanding. We loved the room's decor and style, and the huge bathroom with the soaker tub were big plusses. The breakfast and the afternoon wine and cheese reception were both great.
Beautiful, clean facilities in a quiet neighborhood that is close to - just a short walk, or even shorter cab ride- the nightlife of downtown. While our room was small, it had lovely, tall windows and an amazing Jacuzzi-style bathtub (complete with jets!). We were only there for one night and didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but those looked great. The staff was personable, and not intrusive at all. We were greeted on arrival, and there were complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres waiting in the dining room. Like everything in Napa, it's fairly expensive for comparable quality in other locales. But I prefer to stay in hotels with personality rather than do the resort thing, and the White House definitely has that.
Great location within walking distance of downtown Napa, the Wine Train, etc. Room furnishings are oddly cheap and modern, not in keeping with the era of the home. Hopefully the 2015 renovations will rectify this.
Open vineyard out side window Fireplace (extra log would be nice) Extra sink mirror Breakfast Architecture chimneys Comfortable beds Friendly staff Close to Hwy , disappointed hot tub closed at 9:00, drippy rain gutter Over door
Great location, ample parking and clean! Wonderful place with exception of the uncomfortable bed.
The location was perfect (right in the main square), and it's right above the mos popular restaurant in town: The Girl and the Fig. I loved the staff and the decor in the rooms... so cute! I also really liked that there wasn't really a television. It's perfect for quality time! Everything that was lacking you sort of should already be aware of when you sign up for a boutique B&B: no TV or room phone; light street noise (because it's on the main town square), no designated parking (again, because it's on the main town square).
I did a vacation with my mom and we had a wonderful time at this hotel! The staff was extremely helpful with all of our needs. I highly recommend this hotel! Additionally the location was right in the square!
Sonoma/Napa is a pricey area. For the price of an OK hotel room, you can stay at this traditional B&B. For the money, it's a no-brainer. The staff recommendation to check out the Tuesday night farmers market was a real winner. Don't miss out on the food, music and dancing. Parking spaces are very narrow, but it is only a problem if the place is full. I suggest that you back in, so that it is easy to pull out of the lot.
Me and my gal had a great stay here. It was a short walk to the downtown square where we enjoyed tasting wine without having to worry about driving. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were cozy and quiet. Very relaxing :) The coffee was a little weak...
