Cons: "TVs/outlets on my side and section of the plane were not working."

Cons: "Despite the fact that I fell skiing and broke my elbow, requiring surgery, for which I sent a copy of the medical procedures, Aeromexico was the ONLY part of my trip, other flights and hotels, that refused to offer me a change of date option. Terrible customer service."

Pros: "I needed extra space because of my pregnancy, but didn't realize I couldn't upgrade my seat online or at check in. I was advised to tell the Boarding attendants I needed extra space and they promptly changed my seat and let me preboard. I'm so grateful and I had a wonderful flight back home. I was also very sick, so it was a relief knowing I could rest comfortably before arriving home to my children."

Pros: "How does one describe spending 10+ hours in a metal tube approximately 18 feet wide at 30,000 feet with 300 of your closest friends breathing the same air while having the seat in front of you pushed back so you cannot adequately see the passenger monitor because it's too close to focus on as your knees are under your chin? Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!"

The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Cons: "I was assigned a middle seat in an exit row, which meant I couldn’t even put my purse under the seat. I always make every effort to get an aisle seat, and I don’t know how I ended up where I did. I asked to be switched,and the flight attendant found a middle seat further back in the plane, which I appreciated. Other people have told me of similar experiences where they did not get the seat they were expecting on Aeromexico. On my flight to Oaxaca, my seat cushions were coming apart and worn, but for the one-hour flight it wasn’t a big deal."

If you don’t have enough seating available don’t sell a ticket that you know doesn’t exist. It’s not the first time it happens with Aeromexico, their airline is HORRIBLE & I didn’t expect with my first experience with Kayak to be just as bad. Cons: "Part of my poor experience was because of lack of knowledge of the staff. 1) We had a round trip from Houston. Our destination was Quito Ecuador with a connection in Mexico city. In Houston we were told that we were suppose to pick up our luggage in Mexico City and take it through immigration (we were told that this was very important) We waited for our luggage but in never arrived. After asking around at the airport we were told that the rule had changed and we did not need to pick up our luggage 2) The planes were old with no entertainment."

Cons: "I was flying to MEX from LAX and i had to get through customs which took a long time, but got to the Aeromexico ticket counter to get my boarding pass and they told me that they start boarding 45min before departure time and I got tot he counter at with 35 min to departure and they told me that I missed my flight and had to buy another flight which was two hours later. I don't understand why they couldn't let me through or hold for me. It ruin my ground transportation reservation which I had to reschedule. The whole thing was frustrating and cost me more money that what i thought i was saving."

The first time I was told someone would contact me and no one did. The second time there was no reply. I asked that some call be on my cell and I have received nothing."

Crew members were not respectful of passengers sleeping as they talked in normal voices. I also found it very rude that I asked a crew member for a pillow and he said they didn't have any without even checking. Which I don't believe. Overall it was an awful experience and I will never fly Aeromexico again. I am going to tell all my friends and family to never fly this airline."

Cons: "Unfortunately, I was not able to go on this trip because I recently found out I am pregnant and the risk due to the current Zika virus makes traveling out of the question. Aeromexico was NOT understanding at all. Their only offer was a 1 year voucher from the time I purchased my ticket. I purchased my ticket in October 2015 (before the Zika outbreak and before being pregnant) and I will still be pregnant in October 2016 so that voucher is completely useless to me. I basically lost $900. Even though I repeatedly tried to explain my situation to customer service and had a letter from my doctor it didn't matter they just repeated their voucher line over and over. Needless to say I will NEVER purchase airline tickets from Aeromexico again and that is a real shame for them because I have a timeshare in Mexico which I plan on enjoying with my growing family for years to come."

Plus a delayed plane didn’t help the matter Unnecessary comments by one crew member while passengers were putting away their luggage were over heard and provided no value to the situations. Cup of noodles and a 3 tiny pieces of beef plate were provided for dinner which was very disappointing. While a typical egg breakfast and snack were also provided. Hot beverages were generally not served due to turbulence and water service during the 12hr flight was minimal."

What an embarrassment this company is to be the official airline of Canada. They should change their name to Air Rouge and allow some other company earn Canada in the name. What absolute trash honestly, if you like delays because the plane has a technical problem and they can't even sort out a back up plane within 6 hours, at their headquarters with all these hangers and planes at their disposal, then at least you'll get 15% off your next delayed flight with them."

Air Canada has become a premium priced airline with extra low cost /no frills service. Sad and disappointing. Last time I am flying with AC. Cons: "THe previous flight that we took, on June 20th, from Las Vegas to Toronto, was cancelled at the last minute. As we had a tightly-scheduled flight to Amsterdam, we missed that connection. There was no notification given prior to the cancellation, just suddenly came up on the monitors at McCarren Airport. No explanation was offered. THe flight that we were transferred to arrived in Toronto too late to get us onto our Amsterdam flight, and so Air Canada personnel gave us vouchers for food and tried to book us a hotel room. We were ferried to 3 hotels, and turned away at all of them, an dwound up sleeping on the flor of the kid's area at TOranto Airport. we finally got to Amsterdam a day late.and had our trip upgraded to business class for our trouble. I have no quarrel with the treatment that we received from Air Canada personel. THey were very patient and gracious, in spite of a number of irate passengers in the same situation that we were in. However, the failure to have accomodations for stranded travelers was exemplary of poor planning on the part of administration, not personnel. I am really torn as to whether or not to use Air Canada again. WHen it is good, it is very good, but when iit is bad, it is the worst that I've ever experienced."

The lady across from me was talking on her cell phone. And the kids behind me were playing games on their iPad with no headphones and the sound on. No one said anything to them. Screw this airline."

Cons: "There was a thunderstorm & a wreck that morning, so even though we planned to arrive 90 minutes before boarding we ended up not making it until avout 62 minutes before flight time. They only had one gate agent and she stepped away before we could check in. Assuming she'd be right back, we waited for her instead of checking in by terminal. By the time she returned it was too late to check in and they wouldn't let us board. Air Canada didn't have another flight until the next day, so we had to spend $5000 to re-book our flight on a different airline."

Pros: "People that helped us were personable"
Cons: "The flight was delayed 40 and then 50 minutes. No announcements were made, the screen just changed. I'm glad I went up to ask about my connecting flight to Athens; if I had waited and got on the flight, I would have missed my connection. The people at the AirCanada desk were nice, and were able to find us other seats. However, we were promised seats on the 7:30 flight, but instead were put on the 5:45 flight. We asked for the AirCanada person to call back and change our flight, but she said we would have time (at this point, 1 hour and 20 minutes before the flight left), even though I showed her that there was a lot of traffic between LGA and JFK and we probably would not make it. We had to leave LGA, find our bags and wait in a long taxi line to sit in traffic in a cab we had to pay for our of pocket, and could not make the 5:45 flight. I then had to call AirCanada and wait for 15 minutes for the lady to switch us to the 7:30 flight. In all, we also lost 2 full hours in Athens."

Pros: "Food was good."
Cons: "I've never experienced an international flight with so many children who were up until all hours running up and down the aisles. 2 of the people in my group sat in front of two older children (ages 12 & 10, about) who kept kicking their seats. Eventually, they told the father, who separated the girls, but was just as antsy as his daughters. All lights were left on, making sleeping impossible. The crew took FOREVER bringing food and drinks out. The plane was so disgustingly messy - it looked like a small explosion happened on the plane. It was hot and uncomfortable. The flight experience made us nervous for what to expect in Greece when we arrived. Luckily, Greece was cleaner than the flight."

Pros: "They surprisingly didn't lose our bags...on this flight."
Cons: "Where to start?! Air Canada is by far the worst airline I have ever flown on. initially there was no information on what gate we were supposed to go to. The timeline of when the gate was going to be told ended up being 45 minutes later than initially projected which turned out to be an hour before the flight was supposed to take off, which didn't leave much time to make it through passport control and to the correct gate. The flight was then delayed over an hour before we were able to board. Once we boarded the flight, we were delayed again an additional hour. We finally took off and landed in Toronto to be delayed yet again before we could go to our gate. Once we go to our gate (close to 30 minutes after landing) the gate would not work and we were stuck on the plan an additional 30 minutes. What was supposed to be about a 9 hour flight turned into almost 12 hours of misery. I will never fly air canada again. The best part about air canada is how every canadian I talked to say "oh yeah, they are such a "terrible" or "shitty" airline."

Pros: "Premium economy seats were very spacious and comfortable and clean. Couldn't rate the food, because I did not eat, but I appreciated the water service as the pitcher and cups were brought by 2-3 times."
Cons: "No complaints. All fine."

Cons: "Very poor communication and co-ordination when flight was delayed and then cancelled. Rebooking was only available via the phone, even when at the airport, with a 45 minute hold time. Everyone kept passing the buck to another, and no supervisors were around. Terrible customer service!"

Pros: "The crew were nice. I like the type of plane. It arrived basically on time, with my luggage."
Cons: "First, I despise Air Canada's new policy of charging $25 per segment per passenger to get a seat assignment - any seat assignment. This isn't a surcharge for more leg room, or to move to business class - it is for the ability to pick seats at all. That means that if I want to sit next to my spouse on a simple direct flight, the cost is $100 round trip ($25 x 4)! For that much money, we should not only be seated together, we should be seated together at a very nice restaurant (which is exactly where we spent the $100 that we refused to spend on seat assignments). Second, my particular seat wasn't clean. Someone had been sick, and it wasn't completely cleaned up. Maybe getting a clean seat is an additional surcharge? The nice stewardess helped me and with some sanitizing hand wipes we were able to get rid of the remnants stuck on my tray and the wall of the aircraft (of course, since I didn't pay for a seat assignment, I ended up in a last row window seat in a plane without middle seats)."

Cons: "Horrible food and service. Organization in boarding was poor."

Pros: "We arrived in Istanbul the day of the attack. Air Canada let us change our flights, no charge, no questions asked. We were able to fly through Venice and avoided the Coup attempt. Thank you Air Canada so much!"
Cons: "The hold times were long for customer service but that may have just been the times we happened to be calling and due to the attack."

Pros: "Great route! I went to Italy and this has been by far the best route and airline choice. Friendly staff, nice layove in Toronto"

Cons: "The flight was originally delayed by 30 minutes.. reasonable considering the high winds in both NYC and Toronto. Things started going wrong after we boarded the airplane and then were told the flight crew had not yet arrived from LGA. There is simply no excuse for airlines not keeping sufficient standby crew capacity to minimize these issues. This is a clear case of the airline under staffing at the expense of its customers. By the time the flight crew arrived we were just barely able to make the 8:45 wheels up time for our clearance. The flight to LGA was uneventful until we landed. We were then told our gate was occupied by another plane, a delay that was initially forecast to be a few minutes turned into what seemed to be close to an hour. As a result, I arrived home to my Manhattan apartment at least two hours later than I should have. Flight delays happen, I accept them when they are for reasons that cant be avoided... I look for other airlines (such as united) when they occur for entirely preventable reasons and result in back pain from being trapped in an airline seat for 3+ hours instead of the 1hr 15 or so I should have been stuck in the seat."

Cons: "Flight attendant was very cranky We spent 4 hours in bogota looking for our luggage. Nobody from air canada could be found. Until we found them all in a back room with a room full of everyones luggage. We dont recommend air canada. And we will never fly with them again when we get back. Food was disgusting."

Cons: "$800 to fly to Florida from YYZ and then paying for baggage and food on top? Horrendous! Booked well in advance so not even paying a "last minute premium"."

Pros: "Touch screen monitor is much better than delta's. It made the navigate and game playing much easier. Also love the USB port for charging my phone."

Pros: "Check-in Staff were friendly and efficient. Undersold flight, so they reseated several people to give them an adjacent vacant seat, so I got to sleep curled up. Great on an 9 hour early morning flight (7am check-in, up at 3:30). Boarding and flight staff were great too."

Captain came out to go to bathroom twice and chatted up remaining flight attendant for several minutes- making it so passengers couldn't approach restrooms."

Then that fight was unable to land, so I spent hours in baltimore, and missed my connecting flight to Brussels. By the time I finally arrived, 4 hours late, to Newark, I had to spend 2 hours in a line to get re-book, for a flight the next night. I was compensated for all this mess with a $10 food voucher, and had to get a cab from the airport to the closest and cheapest hotel. My flight to Brussels was uneventful, save one rude flight attendant, and I got to school a day late."

Cons: "neither flight had a tv on it and the food was for purchase only. The flight from Portland to Chicago had a terrible flight attendent. Very rude and I could see and hear the tension between the two. Overall not a good experience."

Cons: "We were stranded in Newark with little to no air conditioning in 90 degree heat. Our flight was delayed 9 HOURS. I lost an entire day of my family's vacation because of United Airlines and their massive blunder. They said it was because there was no air conditioning, but at the same time they said their crew clocked out and we had to wait for new personnel to man the plane. I find it hard to believe that this couldn't be foreseen and avoided. By the time we finally got our crew, we then had to await for a storm to pass, and then 40 other planes had to take off first. All United offered in apology were $10 vouchers that expire in two days, and a free drink on the plane."

Cons: "On a redeye, comfort is imperative. The seats only reclined 10 degrees, if that, and the seat pockets were a thin mesh strip 10" across, rendering them completely useless."

Cons: "They overbooked my flight and almost didn't let me on the plane even though I bought my ticket months ago! The only reason I got on is because some people didn't show up."

And I wore shorts & a t-shirt on the plane which I was nervous about doing because like I said, I'm always cold, but thank goodness I did for that flight."
