Cons: "While the weather delay was out of everyone’s control and it was obvious the pilot was doing everything he could to get the pale airborne... i feel their could have been better communication from the ground as to our take off time. They kept changing our time and thus we were trapped on the tarmac for 4 hrs. Had we known, some of us could have gotten off the plane and rerouted so as not to miss our connecting flight. We and others were stuck in Atlanta, had t okay for a hotel....and missed a day of vacation....☹️"

Cons: "The crew, the food, the tv capability, the amenities. Overall it was the worst international flight I have ever been on. They confiscated my unopened beer I purchased after security point. They had me assigned to a wrong seat, so I had to fight my way 20 rows up as people are filing into their seats. The hot towel to clean your hands was dry and cold. The roll was hard as a rock and cold. The crew was rude and unapproachable. It took almost 3 hours to get them to reset my tv and when she finally did it glitched the whole time I tried watching it. The croissant was literally cooked to the paper and had to rip apart Croissant to get the paper off. They didn't serve the cocktail as promised. It was a pretty poor performance on all levels, and if this survey truly means anything, I hope this gets remedied."

Cons: "The plane experienced a mechanical issue forcing us to return to the gate after waiting for an hour. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and focused on moving us along (Cheryl) rather than resolving our need to reach our destinations.it wasn’t until we found one extremely patient and persistent employee (LaShondra-?) who booked us through NYC rather than Atlanta so we reached Rochester on the same day. So the questions are- why don’t the airport hold a larger inventory of parts, why aren’t there back up planes and why doesn’t the software better cope with these types of situations?"

Cons: "We sat on the tarmac for an hour without information as to why we were delayed. We missed our connection in Atlanta, even though we arrived at the gate in time to see the gate agent shut the door while we were running and waving. We arrived at the gate 8 minutes before the flight departure time also. The flight attendant on the flight from Fayetteville just handed out water and cookies without asking what you wanted. She had coffee and snack mix but didn’t ask anyone, just handed them what they got. Overall I was very disappointed in the flight from Fayetteville, NC to Atlanta and with the gate agents at the Atlanta airport. I usually expect more from delta. They didn’t offer vouchers to make up for the missed connection or offer to pay for a hotel since the next flight out was the next morning."
Cons: "... on top of that I kindly requested to speak with a supervisor and i was denied it. As a customer I deserved that. I would a ticket with Aerolineas and nowhere it said it was delta. I followed the baggage allowance explained on kayak website and on Aerolineas Argentinas. I took a bicycle which is free and i pay $100 to packed it as Aerolineas wanted. When I arrived it was a Delta flight and they told they don't allow bicycles and that i had to play $150. Aerolineas website and kayak clearly says that bicycles were free on my flight. I show the agent my ticket and that no where it said delta to consider what he was saying since it is an alliance but i was not informed about it. He said no and after wait there for a while before boarding i kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and the denied it and disappeared. I request a refund of my fee to you for providing incorrect information."

Cons: "I paid extra for a window seat I sit down after they squeezed us all in like sardines and come to my surprise there is no window in my aisles it had been covered up in plastic . First making my area narrow than all the other seats and between the plane leaving late and the terrible process of loading people on the plane . Delta airlines was all about the up sale from charging for every bag to charging for internet ,food so on and so forth. Also one bathroom in the middle of the plane ? REALLY ? Out of tissue , paper towels , and tissue one hour into the flight . What in the Hell is going on with this airline ? Won’t fly with them again ."
Pros: "Boarding was super quick, as crew wanted to leave before the strong rains and winds came through, so we left early! Plane itself was very modern and surprisingly comfortable, as much as a small space can be. Good amount of entertainment, and the crew were pleasant. And flight itself was smooth with very little turbulence which helps!"

Cons: "flights all on Delta - about one a week for 3 months straight - and yet when Delta cancelled my flight and re-booked they did not give me any upgrade or loyalty as I saw it - I had paid extra for Delta Comfort and they told me the flight they re-booked me on simply did not have any comfort available. However, I was not the one canceling the flight and re-booking - that is their problem and after so much loyalty for years I feel like I should have gotten some kind of upgrade for free...If I have to cancel - I have to pay fees - but if they cancel - I lose ...despite being a very loyal SkyMiles customer. I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. It needs to be a two-way"

Check in person played on her phone and didn’t even look at you when asking what seat was I assigned . Going from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale the check in person was so rude there where 5 people askI’m her what’s her problem . The crew the flight was excellent but the Atlanta check in desk really dropped the ball 2 times . If I was the manger I would fire the whole staff and If I was above the manager I would fire them as well as I’m. Sure this is not an isolated occasion."

Cons: "This Delta flight did not have seat back screens to watch in flight entertainment. You needed to use your smartphone or tablet keeping in mind Amazon tablets won’t work. You needed to go to delta website and choose what want to watch the you needed to have Gogo Flight entertainment app already on smartphone and then would work. Not easy even for me a vivid user of tablets and smartphones. The seats had miniumal room available between seats it felt like I am on 5’qq so couldn’t imagine anyone taller that comfortable unless get first class. I even upgraded for “comfort” section which gave you a few inches extra. And wdith of chair me being a 36 waist was a little squeezed in. Crew was very good tho I will say that. But I laways fly JetBlue or Virgin America, or Alaskan Air for reason of more comfort and lower prices ticket but this time on flight close to my destination was Delta which I Flew for free, I would much rather buy ticket on the three others I fly if could have."

Cons: "I was shy about 45 min of boarding my flight. I didn't want to do self check out because I wanted to make sure my Itinerary was right so I went to a clerk. She did my boarding pass by verifying who I was and by my Id and printed out. I then go to security they asked for my Id and boarding pass. I gave it to them and she was like Ingrad is not your name doesn't match your ID. I said no it doesn't your going to have to go back up and get my boarding pass redone again. I was Furious and frustrated because I didn't want to miss my flight over a mix up from one of your Clerks and at the time she never asked me if I wanted a window seat or not . This made for a bad experience going to Atlanta but I was grateful that I didn't miss my flight."

Pros: "The crew is always wonderful. The complimentary beverage and snack really makes the flight better, even in the tiny seats. The flights with tv screens and charging ports are great, although they only seem to be on my shorter of the two connecting flights."
Cons: "Crew allows the first zones to place both their carryon and personal items in overhead storage, filling the bins before many travelers board the plane. We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

Cons: "Somewhere somehow you need to know that, although partners, Delta and West Jet do not share computer systems and that they are two completely different airlines. This affects ,sometimes, how luggage is handled especially when you land in another country and you have to manually transfer your own - and nobody tells you. You actually change airlines. Itinerary implies West Jet controls the entire thing. Not the case. Better job economic explaining what to With luggage and that, while itinerant implies 1 airline, they are only partners and should be treated separately."

Cons: "crying baby... passengers hanging out in the aisle... also lady sat in my emergency row seat and would not leave so I let her have it. also the lady next to that seat complained the whole time we tried to negotiate that seat. also the flight attendant that gave our section drinks seemed irritated and very rude. Older african american woman that stuck her finger in my face and the person next to me to ask her to stop her question as he picked up snacks that she dropped in the aisle. Kind of rude and kind of uncalled for. And the lady next to me (lauren) is an ER dr that had a layover in Atlanta for 4 hours to vacation with her fiance in the Caribbean..."
Pros: "Our Delta plane was brand spanking new. Everything worked and the inflight entertainment system was fantastic with many movies to choose from, free headphones, games, tv shows, etc. The crew was polite and the seating at least as comfortable as expected for a 4 hour flight."
Cons: "The restrooms in the rear of the plane were remarkably small, even by airline standards. I'm a somewhat larger person and I fit, but I know a lot of people who would literally not be able to fit on the toilet without touching both of the sidewalls or risk getting stuck in there. The boarding process at San Jose Del Cabo was the most ridiculous setup I've ever experienced. There were numerous flights boarding out of the same gates and at least 3 or 4 lines for different destinations forming on a ramp just outside the gates. There were guys with signs trying to herd people into the correct lines and then loading the people onto buses which took you out to the planes. The planes were loading from both the front and rear doors and people were getting tangled up inside because of the haphazard loading process. Very easy for a person to end up on an incorrect plane!!"

Cons: "We purchased a direct flight from Boston to Tampa. We paid extra for the convenience of a direct flight Our flight was changed without notification to a connecting flight that was leaving 10 minutes earlier and arriving 2 hours later. Due to malfunction with the kiosk and not a sufficient amount of agents at check in, we missed our flight by 4 minutes. The gate agent seemed to enjoy telling us, with our 10 month old baby, that we were too late. Our baggage, including car seat, had been loaded on the plane. We were reassigned to a flight the following morning. We missed a full day with family, had to travel back home without a car seat and return to the airport the following day. I was shocked and disappointed that not single Delta agent was accommodating or remotely helpful while we were at the airport. I've never had a problem with Delta before. We travel on regularly and would like to continue using Delta. I would like a voucher for my next Delta trip."

Cons: "Seats were not that comfortable. Aircraft very noisy. Competition offers a much better service. Transfer in Atlanta was a nightmare, taking almost two hours from landing to getting to the domestic gate for the next sector. only three immigration staff working."
Cons: "On the MSP to ATL leg the gate crew made a huge deal about checking rolling bags. They even stopped us at check-in and nearly begged us to check our bags pointing to the backed up jetway. But we had a lot of unpacking to do before checking our bags so we politely declined three times. On getting to our seats there were at least 8 open slots for bags near us. I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF"
Cons: "the older stuardess on my flight from Cancun to Atlanta was very misinformed- told me my carry on wouldn't fit in the over head bin... it did. Told me I had to check my duty free liquor.. I didn't. Told me I couldn't bring all of my liquor in to the US... I could. I just kept saying ok to her just to shut her up, but she ensued with her comments and wrong info as if I don't travel as often as I do. Perhaps she was attempting to be helpful, but it came off as obnoxious and rude especially since she was wrong on every accord. Humbleness and customer service training would do her very good. All other DELTA staff have been great."

Pros: "for a 9.5 hour flight, the seat was actually pretty comfortable. The A330 is definitely more comfortable than 767. While the food sucked on my outbound flight from atlanta to london, the food on the amsterdam to atlanta flight was pretty good. there was a lunch, a snackbox and then a hot snack before landing. There was plenty of beer to drink so that made the flight better."
Cons: "first, the entertainment system was busted. you could use the flight tracker and play games, but couldn't watch any movies or tv shows. They only told us about this 5 minutes before boarding. There was wifi so you could stream shows to a tablet, but that assumed you had a tablet and that it was charged because the usb ports on the nonfunctioning entertainment system were, you guessed it, nonfunctional. Fortunately we had charged tablets and were able to stream some shows but they kept buffering and locking up because the gogo wifi wasn't working very well. About half the flight attendants were friendly but the other half obviously didn't want to be there. The last half hour was pretty bumpy due to remants of a hurricane in the area. The person behind me was frantically looking for a barf bag but we found out that most of the seats didn't have them. So that could have been ugly. I flew delta for the skymiles but based on this trip I will either fly on their partners (virgin, klm, airfrance) for reduced mile credit, or choose a different airline."
Cons: "Planned my trip for my birthday/10 year anniversary. The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. This made us supposedly late to our connecting flight which by the way was not supposed to leave before 8:10. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

Cons: "We left DC late because of Delta's inefficient boarding process. We landed in Atlanta late. Our flight to Sioux Falls left early, without us. My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."
Cons: "I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it."
Cons: "Expected to pay £30 just to reserve a seat. Most of the top airlines allow this to be done for free. It's about time that Virgin Atlantic followed suit."

Cons: "I wanted a first class seat there were three available I asked 45 minutes before the flight took off if I could upgrade and they said that they don't allow that within one hour so I was put into a comfort seat for free but the entire flight there were three first class seats open kind of silly I would've paid"
Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."
Cons: "Delta costumer service was terrible. Cancelled my trip twice. They lied to us saying that they were going to give vouchers for hotel, that we were going to be automatically booked for next flight and that our bags would arrive with our flight. Waited 7hs to talk to an agent in the airport. 24h wait in Atlanta had to sleep in airport. They wanted me to wait three days in atlanta. They forced me to check a carry on because they didn't have room in the plane. They told me my bag would arrive with my flight. It never did. I still dont have by only bag. Unbelievable."

Cons: "Baggage retrieval was horrendous! Absolutely a nightmare which after paying for 3 nights hotel with no discount, I was further inconvenienced by the inability to receive my 2nd luggage and after requesting it be delivered, I, I, tracked my bag and you chose to send it 3 days ahead to my destination and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED any acknowledgment of my online inquiry which is why I am complaining. I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). Cons: "The redesign of seats means that very few of Delta's planes can actually accommodate a sherpa-style pet carrier, even though they are an industry standard for in-cabin travel. Further complicating the problem is that the clearance under the seat varies depending where in the cabin you're seated. It's become an extremely stressful proposition for which I have the privilege of paying an extra +$100 each way whilst having to give up one of my carry ons. As far as I can see, the charge is just straight up greed, since no one would be able to use the space beneath the seat in front of me, anyway, and carrying on my cat cause zero extra work for the crew. I'm going to have rethink my loyalty to Delta. At least with Southwest, they'll let me check two bags for no additional cost."

Pros: "I trusted Delta to take of my clients; Delta usually did. Rather, the employees of Delta did. Now when I travel, I prefer Delta (when they aren't too much more economically). Let me change that to I used to prefer Delta, because the times, they are achanging. My home airport is Atlanta, I'm usually traveling to Seattle or Portland; Delta is king in those routes. There's more flight time options, and the entertainment available is better."
Cons: "Here's where the picky comes in. I downloaded the 'Go Go" wifi app beforehand. When I tried to connect I received a message that it wasn't available on my routes. Why couldn't they tell me that it might not work on my routes before they took my money? Further, why wasn't it available? It's not like I was going on a multi city/country trip, this was Atlanta to Portland non-stop. Then there's the 'Premier Seating". I opted for it on my outbound flight and received TSA Pre Check. I didn't buy the seating coming back; I did not receive TSA Pre Check. Coincidence? My fare was more than Alaska Airlines was offering it for, I paid for the wifi that didn't work, and in order to avoid the back of the plane, you must pay. So, I guess I'll be going to Alaska Airlines. They don't have as many flights, but I don't feel dinged for more money every time I turn around."
Cons: "Delta Flight #1661 I paid for 1st class. My first flight was late so I arrived at the gate after boarding began. When the gate attendant scanned my ticket another printed. When he handed me the ticket my seat had changed to seat 25E. I told the attendant that I had paid for first class. He asked me to step aside while he contacted his supervisor, Joe. Then I had to wait until ENTIRE flight had boarded which defeated part of the reason I paid for the upgrade. This was on top of the fact I was so thirsty because 1st flight didn't have drink service and because it was late I had to book it to the connection arriving sweaty, hot and needing to use the bathroom. I was told they had given my seat away to someone as a free upgrade. Joe offered me a $100 voucher to take other seat which was less than I paid for 1st class, plus the seat was a middle seat in the rear of the plane. When I told him as much, he tried to manipulate me by telling me that they would have to kick someone out of my seat. When I declined the downgrade, they made me stand by while they kicked someone out of my seat which was embarrassing and humiliating. Then, when they handed me a new boarding pass, it was not the seat I had paid for and selected, instead it was in the first row, which I’ve always hated because there is no under seat storage and I cannot keep my backpack with me. When I pay for first class, it is primarily so that I can board first and so that I have extra room to work (which I need access to my bag to do). While I was trying to take out the minimum of the things I needed from my bag and figure out how to manage without it, 3 times a flight attendant told me they had to take my bag (since I was the last person to board they tried to prevent me from using the bathroom and they were anxious to leave early). I tried to explain that Delta had prevented me from boarding earlier and that they gave away the seat I paid for which was NOT the first row."
Pros: "The 717 is a decent plane for short haul flights. Seats are comfortable. Delta crew was outstanding!"
Cons: "The general cabin vent (that runs down the length of the cabin) over 13E blows on the side of 13D occupant's head. Since Scranton is humid this time of year I also had heavily moisture-laden air blowing against me which occasionally felt like water droplets. The sound of forceful rushing air is annoying enough but the muscles in my neck were cramping due to the cold air on the first part of the flight. (This is NOT the personal, adjustable vent I'm talking about. I know how to turn them off and redirect air flow). Perhaps there is a a crew controlled adjustment that had been neglected during this flight. Started on the ground during boarding, continued throughout flight."

Cons: "Flight was scheduled to leave early, the plane arrived, but they couldn't turn the plane around fast enough. We left the gat late, then pilot said we would still be arriving half an hour early. We arrived about 45 minutes late, and that was a problem because our connecting flight was due to depart now in 15 minutes. Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

Cons: "There’s no internet. Added fees for carry on is ridiculous. I flew Delta on outbound and read that my carry on would not be charged on my return flight with Spirit. The crew were not polite. The guy responds to questions, with a “HUH?!”And seemed not well trained with how to properly engage clientele. The plane was totally loaded 40 mins before the take off time, making it difficult to get pre purchased food. I arrive at 10:15 and everyone’s getting on the plane that’s scheduled to leave at 11:05."
Pros: "The Airbus 320 was very new and seating was generous on leg room. Many of the other airlines fly planes that feel old and have cramped seating. This was different and a definite plus. Not having food and beverage service on a short 90 min flight is a big plus! Not at all a negative. You did not have the flight crew hustling down the aisle creating a general sense of congestion. They were very quick up and down the aisle to serve those who wanted to buy something. Thinking about the comparison the thing I hate the most about flying is cramped seating. The second thing I hate is having the darn service carts parked next to me. Spirit solved both of these bits. I just brought my own drink and all was good. I think I get nervous with that tiny plastic glass of ice and some liquid always worried it will spill. Having a bottle with a cap was actually relaxing. I usually ignore the in flight magazine. And many airlines are switching to personal device entertainment so why do I need them to provide it? All in all I ended up being impressed with Spirit even though after the baggage and seating charges I might have spent more than economy on another airline."
Cons: "Unfortunately the gate area is small and two flights were delayed so the off loading and boarding involved 600 people crammed into an already small space. But it is clear that they are good with their boarding process and the gate staff were friendly and tried to keep people informed. The small space is clearly part of the cost saving strategies and under normal circumstances should work fine."

Cons: "I am writing this review while waiting for my luggage. IT’S BEEN one hour. The ground crew wasn’t ready at ATL to guide the plane in, we had to wait. The boarding process was disorganized, with only 2 folks available to help our citizen on wheelchairs. My flight took off from Terminal 3 (gate E9), but how come nowhere was it mentioned that SPIRIT check in was on Terminal 4 (out of Fort Lauderdale). UPDATE: still waiting on my check in luggage. We reached the gate at 12:36 (midnight) and it’s now 1:33 am. Are we serious here? NEVER WILL I EVER FLY SPIRIT NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Kayak, I wish there was a way to block results from certain airlines.... in this Case SPIRIT."

Cons: "Upsells. Upsells. Upsells. It started when I found there was a charge to choose your own seat. Then there were the bag fees. I expected the checked bag fee but they actually charge MORE for carryons. Then when we got to the airport there was a weight charge on top of that. Then, once on board there was a charge for a drink. EVEN WATER. The plane was new, but the seats were hard with little padding and don’t recline at all. Forget about using the tray table, it’s just big enough to set most modern smartphones on. If you buy spirit thinking it was a d al like I did, you will be disappointed. All the fees we ended up paying put the cost above what it would have been to fly southwest."
Cons: "There was nothing to like about this trip because the website would not send me a boarding pass although I checked in online twice the day before, so I never had the opportunity to even get in the gate. I asked for a boarding pass through an email and it didn't come through, twice. I did not think much of it because I have had problems receiving emails from Spirit in the past and I have always been able to log into my account and access the boarding pass on the website. The morning of the flight, the website locked me out and wouldn't allow me to log in. I actually had to leave the security line to try to sort the issue out. The kiosk at the airport told me I was at the wrong airport (I was not). I went to the front desk and the agent was SUPREMELY unhelpful and unconcerned, and marked me as a no show at 7:05 for a flight leaving at 7:25. Even though I was standing right in front of her. Even though I had left the security line to deal with the issue. I had to get to my destination that day, which happens to be the reason I bought a ticket in the first place, so I had to spend an additional $500 on a Southwest ticket because the agent at the front desk of Spirit said I had no other options with Spirit that day. I called customer service and despite escalating the issue to a manager, I was essentially told "sorry for your luck" and sent on my way. The manager even asked, at the end of the call after telling me a refund would not be possible, if I wanted to purchase an airline ticket while I was on the phone. I have bought a fair number of Spirit tickets in the past. I unfortunately already have a ticket lined up with Spirit Airlines in November but I will never be purchasing another ticket from this airline again. It was an absurd scenario - I paid for a ticket and was not able to redeem the ticket I paid for - and I should not be have to pay the price for Spirit Airlines having poor IT."

Cons: "Customer service personnel at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport were disinterested and unfriendly. Processes seem unorganized and no one appears to be in charge. One person in particular who was calling out cities to customers standing in line in order to move them to an agent quicker due to them being close to the boarding time had horrible body language once he identified the people in the city he called out. He looked disgusted and was shaking his head and acting like they committed a crime. The opposite approach could be to be friendly and just go with the flow, it won't be the first or last time you will have people running late in an airport. On top of that, no one is perfect and I would bet every dollar in my savings account that he has been running late before. I hate Spirit and would never fly with them if I wasn't forced to based on job requirements. I'm honestly surprised Spirit is still in business. Remarkable."

Cons: "My first time flying with Spirit and it started off bad to begin with. First learned that you can't carry on a bag without a $55 per leg fee adding 50% more to the trip. We decided to check one bag instead at a cost of $40 per leg but then Spirit considers over 40 Lbs overweight instead of 50 like other airlines so another $30 for overweight per leg for an extra $140 for the trip. Then soft drinks are $3 everything costs more. I will say the flight crew did a great job when there was a heart attack on our flight and they attended to him with great care. Then our flight back was cancelled due to the Hurricane but no other airline had to cancel that far out from the hurricane actually hitting. It seems Spirit couldn't get flights to Chicago with nothing to do with Atlanta. In fact we ended up driving all the way back to Atlanta only to see Delta and other airlines landing at the airport 11 hours later. Only Spirit wouldn't fly in more than a day before it effected the area. They did at least refund most of my money. I'll just never fly them again."
Pros: "The flight down was fine. The plane seemed new and well-appointed. Boarding and staff were fine."
Cons: "My return flight was affected by Hurricane Irma. Spirit's first response was understandable under the circumstances, and I felt that they handled it as well as could be expected. They canceled my flight, notifying me about 8 hours prior to the flight, and automatically booked me for a new one for the next day. However, when I arrived for that flight, they cancelled after I was already checked in. The lack of prior notification -- and the fact that it was now two days after the tropical storm -- made me think that this was poorly handled. At that point, I bought a ticket on another airline. Spirit emailed me two $50 vouchers with an apology, which I appreciate, but I plan to contact them for a refund."
Cons: "Flight departed early leaving me and several other passengers behind. Luckily they were able to put us on next available flight but it wasn't for another 5 hours (they even tried to charge for their error but eventually gave in after the line of angry customers that had also missed their flight). Then that flight was delayed 2 hours. Didn't get into Atlanta until 2:30 am!! Plus $50+ baggage fee each way. Low cost ticket ended up costing me more once I factored in time and money lost. I'll be sure to take my next flight on a more reliable airline."
Cons: "They delayed the flight by 5 hours and flew in early so 20 of us missed that later flight, even though we received an email it was coming in on time moments after it left. I had to cancel and fly with Delta. The next dayI had to go to retrieve my suitcase from Fort Lsuderdale. I ended up flying into West Palm Beach. I will never fly Spirit for any money ever again. The hidden costs are ridiculous. I had no choice but to buy a seat because there are no free seats. That flight costed more than double the original cost."

Cons: "I was supposed to depart at 10 pm. Flight was delayed twice via email & again once I arrived at the airport to 1:40 am. Around 1 am, the flight was cancelled. There was almost an angry & very immature mob at the gate desk for flight rebooking or refunds. There were few flights for the following evening, which sold out quickly; then rebooking were for the day after that. They did not offer to cover any hotel arrangements. The staff handled it pretty well, but it made my wait to get a refund even longer. I had to find a rental car to drive overnight from Orlando to Atlanta. I finally got home at 10:30 am."

Cons: "The airline didn't allow me to print my boarding pass until 8:30 pm on the night before my scheduled 8:38 am departure. At that time the fliglht departure time was delayed. In the morning the flight was delayed again. Fortunately I had a three hour layover in Atlanta, so the delays only meant less of a layover. The seats were uncomfortable. It was a clear day without many clouds, but somehow the pilots on both of my flights weren't able to hold the planes steady during the takeoffs, climbing to altitude, and approaches for landings. The planes were wobbling a lot---like they were no longer on smooth automatic pilot."

Cons: "The experience felt a bit chaotic and impersonal. It's a bit stressful to manage all the extra costs as well. I tend to enjoy flying but I mostly just wanted to get this experience over with. Spirit gets you from point A to point B, safely but there's nothing enjoyable about it. Also, on the flight back we waited on the runway almost 45 minutes for an open terminal. We were about 30 minutes early but that wouldn't explain the terminal opening up 15 mins after our expected arrival time. However, I don't know if this was Spirit's fault or the airport's."
Cons: "We were over 1 hour late getting to Orlando as there was a passenger who was on the plane in stand by . Spirit overbooked the flight and they down 45 minutes trying to resolve the issue. I was suppose to get to Orlando at 10:30 . I got to Orlando at 12;30 . I had to be up and ready at 6:00 . It took me 45 minutes to get a ride. This past Thursday I was suppose to fly spirit to New Orleans . The security people search me for around 40 minutes . The plane was still at the tarmac however the spirt person had closed the ramp and would not let me on the plane . The plane set there for additional 25 minutes . I drove to New Orleans for 7 hours for a meeting. I will never , ever fly spirit again ."
Pros: "We were scheduled for a flight from atlanta to ffl then back to atlanta since the flight was early sun morning, we stayed overnight in a hotel next to the airport. We decided to check on the flight status before departing on the shuttle and found the fight was cancelled. Spirit never notified us of the cancellation and when we called to find out if there would be another flight they said no. this presented quite a problem since we were booked on a cruise that afternoon from port everglades. This will be the last time booking with spirit"
Pros: "I paid twice as much to check bags as I do on other airlines. It costed me a total of $94 to check one bag to and from. Also the customer service was poor. It took forever to claim my luggage because the flight attendants told me an incorrect carousel number. I was on a wild goose in the airport and because of this I obviously don't feel it was worth the extra money checking bags. Also I didn't like that I had to become an online member only to save ten bucks on my returning checked luggage. Don't waste your money!"
Pros: "This flight was canceled because the AC didn't work. I rescheduled for the next day (after being on hold for at least 20 min), but was almost charged a rescheduling fee of more than $100. I am disappointed to be away from home still, but am more concerned with how disorganized they were during this process. It took them hours to decide to cancel the flight, and once they did still more time to clarify where people should go and what the next steps should be. People were left in a line of at least 100 people, but only attended to 2 at a time. No one was directed to call Spirit, even though it would obviously be the most efficient way to get the line moving. Yes, machinery goes wrong, but this should not get in the way of customer service."

Cons: "Staff was okay. Airline charges $65-100 for a CARRY ON. Most ridiculous price I have ever heard off. I had a backpack as I was pre-warn by an employee before I left for the airport. One poor lady had a purse and her laptop bag and they told her they would have to charge her 65 dollars. You will be chargered to print out your boarding pass and will only allow you to check in online and print boarding pass if you sign up for their site and promotions. This airline makes it blantanly obvious they are all about the profit."
Pros: "That I arrived to my destination safely"
Cons: "Checkin was horrible, ridiculous lines, no one explaining where to go, checkin machines were down, no tsa prescreen, excessive fees for everything including check in, boarding passes, carry on luggage, seat assignment, pretzels, most importantly, my flight was delayed by over 3 hours and no explanation was provided as to why. Then once my flight arrived in atl, it selected the fartherest gate to deplane and worth the airport train out of service, all passengers were required to walk over 5 miles to get to baggage claim. Since we were the last plane to arrive to the airport (2:40 a.m.) I felt they could have gotten is a closer gate. Every time I fly Spirit something has always happened with the flight i.e. delayed, canceled, gate change at last minute ect.) And no one ever apologises for the inconvenience. The closest I've ever obtained is for this flight in the form of an email with a $50 voucher of my next flight with them which I will never use bc I will never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "It was okay. The person next to me wore a very heavy perfume & I have an allergy which gave me a migraine. The flight attendant wouldn't let me move to an empty seat. She appeared to think that I wanted to move because the person next to me was a larger person. I was clear that the size of the person next to me had nothing to do with it. So I spent the entire flight covering my nose to minimize the effect, in pain, nauseated & clearly making the larger person next to me feel bad. All could have been avoided by allowing me to move to an empty seat"
Pros: "The flight left on time. A remarkable feat for Spirit airlines."
Cons: "Spirit is almost always late leaving, delayed or cancelled. And I have encountered many displays of spectacular incompetence with Spirit airlines employees, however my most recent flight experience took my opinion of the airline to an all time low. I am filing a formal complaint with Spirit as well as the DOT - with the support of nearby passengers who were as thoroughly appalled as I was with the insolent manner in which I was spoken to by a flight attendant. I have never encountered such a patronizing, disdainful attitude by anyone in the service industry for any reason. Even after a fellow passenger spoke up to tell her that she was out of line, and I had calmly and respectfully communicated to her that she was speaking to me in an unacceptable manner, she proceeded to engage me. I asked to get her information so that I could file a complaint and then when I attempted to take a photo of her badge she covered it up and demanded my boarding pass repeatedly. I told her I would give her my boarding pass upon receipt of her information and she proceeded to bring me a paper that said it was a felony to "interfere with the duties of a flight attendant" and stated that my refusal to do was interfering with her duties. I chuckled in disbelief and handed it to her. As she left with it passengers continued to suggest I report her and give me their contact information. She brought my boarding pass back and then told me her first name was Cecelia and that she had made the pilot aware that there was a problem on board (me). I thanked her for being such a classy professional with the utmost dedication to customer service. On the contrast, I am a professional woman, I own my business and I would never speak to a vendor (or anyone else for that matter) in any comparable manner, let alone a client. This is a disgrace, even for Spirit standards."
Pros: "I liked the price of the ticket. It was a great deal for a relatively short flight from New Orleans to Atlanta. I liked that you knew up front what was and was not covered by the ticket price. There was actually better leg room than I thought there would be."
Cons: "The seats seemed smaller than most airlines' coach seats. The seats were also a little harder with what seemed like a thin cushion. It was not possible to put a magazine or bottle of water in any kind of holder on the back of the seat immediately in front of me b/c there were only elastic cords holding the safety cards and other airline items in the cords (and no bottle or water or magazine could be put in that). I wanted to go back in after I printed my boarding pass so that I could add a bag, but was not able to do that; I understand why that was the case. I only wish I had realized before the last minute to leave for the airport that I was going to need to pay for a bag if I wanted to bring more items with me. The flight was delayed at least 30 minutes so that a light bulb could be changed on a piece of equipment in the cockpit."
Pros: "While I appreciate the cheaper price point for the flight, it reminds me a lot like a doctor with no bedside manner. Sure you need the service and sure you need an operation, but he could careless about how you feel. You are not his main priority. Spirit Airlines is a militant first-order type that sees its money-paying customer as a means to an end. 2 contrasting points of view: Delta V. Spirit One time I flew on a Delta flight that was late arrive to the gate by 30 minutes. The gate attendants wheel a giant cart out full of snacks, soda, and the like. They announced the situation and gave us all the opportunity to have as many snacks as we wanted. This past flight I flew on Spirit. At both Baltimore and Atlanta the gate attendants didn't give us any clue about our flights until it had arrived. Our first flight was delayed by 1 hours. Then 2 hours. Then an hour before the flight, I got an email that said it would be on time. Thankfully the email also had the gate number because Spirit obviously won't even spring for a working screen at their gate. We moved to the right gate to find they didn't even have a screen with any information. The flight back from Atlanta was pretty much the same, except they had a working screen (which is a plus.) Our flight was delayed and didn't arrive until our departure time. The gate attendant never told us this. We understood it was late because we could see no plane at the gate."

Pros: "I didn't like anything in this flight. First at the gate 8:55pm, 33 minutes late we boarded. After wait about an hour inside the aircraft we finally start to taxi, almost in the runway the pikot said we had a problem and had to come back to the bridge. Everybody out of the plane, more wait and wait... nobody to help or answer us. 3 hours after that we got inside the plane again. I ask for a glass of water and the fkight attendant said $3. I told him I did not accept the charge and we had a delay without any explanation and 3 hours of delay and I felt assaulted by his charge. I just want a water. I think it should be the minimum they shoud do. Because of it and many other complains I heard from others I WILL NEVER MORE FLY SPIRIT. I also will tell everybody what a awful experience I had."

Cons: "I ended up spending another $600 to get home from Vegas with another airline July 18th 2016. The manager at the gate in Vegas his name was "Omaha" did absolutely nothing to help me get home what made the experience even worse the next flight was a connecting flight that was sold out so they tried to fly me to Detroit where I would have been stuck til the next day and they didn't care about me having to work the next day. I also payed the extra $52 baggage fee with Spirit leaving Vegas but that needs to be refunded as well as my flight that was previously paid for that I take. Overall because of the unhelpful employees I had to spend an extra $600 to fly with another airline to make it home that day and I also pay $52 baggage fee with Spirit that I didn't even use that needs to be refunded."

Cons: "The thing about a cheap airline is that, sure it might not be the most comfortable flight, but at least it'll get you from point A to point B, right? Well with all the delay problems, I began to doubt that was possible. 1. They overbooked the flight, which they do on all flights apparently. It doesn't make any sense that if I or anyone else bought their tickets weeks in advance, that we need to wait on those who bought tickets last minute for an ALREADY FULL FLIGHT, and see if someone would give up seats for them. Its not the last minute customers fault and its not the early buyers fault, its Spirit's fault for overbooking their flights. If I was a waiter at an Italian restaurant, and I sold out of all the lasagna dishes, you wouldn't expect me to take in more orders for lasagna and ask other tables if they would give up their lasagna for the next table over! If you sold all of you seats, say the flight isn't available. 2. Last minute "flight delays" We were all buckled in and we were about to leave our gate. All of a sudden we stopped and the pilot came over the intercom. He told us that we were delayed because "we had to pick up company cargo to bring to Atlanta", which wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't at the last minute! We waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. About 50 minutes later we finally heard back from the pilot saying that we were waiting on another plane to bring in that cargo! Everyone around me was in agreement that we should've either left without getting the cargo or waited off of the plane before we boarded. Analogy time! If we were at that same Italian restaurant and you were about to leave from you table since you paid for your check, and I stopped you and said that you had to vacuum under/around your table before you left. You agreed to it, but I told you the vacuum was in another restaurant and you had to wait for it to be delivered to our restaurant. If it wasn't originally meant to be on our flight, don't delay the flight to get it on there. I'll save you the time and tell you that there were extra delays getting off of the plane, so if you were needing to rush to connect to a flight, then you weren't going to make it. (telling everyone to sit down when you already told them to stand, flight attendants leaving the plane first, etc). If you chose to still fly Spirit, only have a carry on and BUY THE $10 FLIGHT INSURANCE. If your flight leaves on time and you don't have any connecting flights, maybe you can risk it for the price, otherwise spend the $20 more to fly on another airline!"

Cons: "My flight that was supposed to be only two hours from Baltimore to Atlanta never happened. Upon arrival to check my bag, a mere twenty minutes after receiving an "on time" email from the airline, they canceled the flight. Not delayed, straight up canceled it. The next flight offered to me would be two days later arriving late Saturday night and with a layover. Their customer service was terrible, no one cared that they were putting so many people out from families to single travelers. It was nuts. I eventually got a refund and flew out the next day on a different airline, vowing to never book with Spirit again."
Pros: "The crew and the airport staff was amazing!"
Cons: "The horrible baggage add process. It took me a total of 6 hours to add a bag to reservation. 3 calls to customer service and hours on their broken site trying to add baggage. I finally escalated to a supervisor who said (after speaking with other representives who told me something was wrong with my browser) that I couldn't add bags to a reservation that had already been checked into. She unchecked me and I was able to add the baggage for a very large fee. Kayak- I do all my business with you but if you continue to do business with Spirit and not Southwest, I will use other sources."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled, due to maintenance issue. spent all day in the airport, flight was scheduled to leave at 10am found out at. 3pm that is was cancelled, staff was very rude, gave us a card to call spirit to rebook. When called the agent couldn't help for an hr due to a system update and asked me to call back in a hr and to keep trying number. No one in the airport was willing or able to help to rebook. Conflicting information was given by the gate, check in desk and the agent on the phone. We received a $7 food voucher after waiting inline 2 hrs for it. And the only options they offered; was to fly to another airport with an 8 hr layover after being in the airport 12 hrs already and catch another flight at 7am. Or to wait two days to get a flight out of ATL. Worst part was the customer service and rude staff. I won't be flying with spirit in the future. Employees stood around instead of helping and had bad attitudes. And no clue as to flight info, or plane status to keep us updated."
Pros: "I liked that we had a female pilot on this particular flight."
Cons: "I had to pay to get a seat on the plane after I had bought the ticket. Seat prices ranged from $4-$20+, in addition to the plane ticket. There is not a carry on bag included in any of this so you have to pay an additional $45-$55 for a carry on and even more if you want to check a bag. There is no in flight entertainment (I like to read so this I didn't mind too much) or complimentary beverage service. Also, the seats don't recline at all. It ends up being a very uncomfortable flight for the same price you would pay for a better airline that builds that into the price instead of surprising you with fees after the fact. Will likely never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "Spirit cancelled this flight and gave no reason as to why. They would not get another plane nor put passengers on other airlines. Their solution was to move everybody to an overbooked flight the next day: 30 hours after the initial flight was supposed to take off. The Spirit workers did as little as they possibly could to help us get to our destination, and were actually pretty rude. Their only solution was to cancel your reservation and book same day on another airline, which was about 5x more expensive due to booking the same day. After talking to others about my experience I've learned that this is a common occurrence with Spirit. I now share the same feeling as the TSA agent who checked me through security after this had happened: "I wouldn't fly Spirit Airlines if it was free.""
Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather. However, the Spirit e-mails were inaccurate and I almost missed boarding because I believed the e-mails and the airport board. When I, by chance checked the board, I found out that the incoming plane in question had landed and, therefore, went to the gate and learned that Spirit had "secretly" moved things up and would soon close the door. Had I believed the e-mail from Spirit, I would have been left -- and they would have blamed it on me -- because I relied on Spirit's e-mails."
Pros: "I almost swore off Spirit a few years ago, after terrible customer service and unclean planes etc. This trip has made me reconsider. The crew was the best asset. They were entertaining, so pleasant, joking and engaging with customers all while being professional and efficient. Better service than the "premier" airlines that I have recently flown. We were more inclined to order drinks and food onboard because we were in good spirits and felt that we didn't need to wait until touchdown to allow vacation to begin. Thank you for a great experience"

Cons: "Crew- Josh, a blond, & brunette. The brunette arguing with passengers. Not explaining the Spirit policy that "Everything costs including water!" Getting an attitude and stating " don't be looking at me like that after the price was stated." Then during the landing process while gathered in the back galley... Spoke about ... Hoping they don't miss there train once arriving at the airport, these people move slow, Josh - We do have 6 wheelchairs but we will see if they can miraculously walk once we arrive. The brunnette, 19f (the water passenger) better hope I don't have the marshals waiting for her, let her look at me one more time!" I was sitting in row 24... Yes I could hear it all.... Completely UNPROFESSIONAL...!"
Pros: "I like getting out of the airport and vowing to never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "Spirit's computer system had an "error" which marked me as a security risk. I had to go through intensive security screening TWICE. I was given a hand written ticket that was not honored at the gate stating their computer error has blocked me from flying. With this status I was unable to take my flight or rebook one. Luckily I got a full refund. Definately not worth the hassle and airport drama I will NEVER fly this airline again. I feel sorry for their employees who have to deal with such a shitty system."
Cons: "We had got stuck in traffic on the way to O'hare yet still arrived MORE than 45 minutes before our flight, but the Spirit airlines crew did not even give us the opportunity to ATTEMPT to check in to get our boarding passes. We missed our flight and are now out all of the money we had spent to go enjoy our first wedding anniversary together. This is unacceptable... While I understand that traffic issues fall outside of the airline's responsibility - SHOWING EMPATHY toward our situation could have made things easier, but they didn't - just very cold, non-customer service friendly, garbage. Perhaps if the Spirit airlines team was better at checking people in at the terminal, instead of having a 'who cares' mentality and allowing a 35 person line to be AT A STAND STILL, perhaps we could have made the plane, and I currently could have been writing an amazing review in Florida right now, but I'm not. I am in Indiana, trying to fight with the airline, the travel insurance agency, and others trying to re-coop my losses. this was an overall terrible experience, and I feel like a fool even attempting to try doing this. Cons: "No TSA pre-check, $55 fee for a carry on, crowded seating - felt like I was taking a bus. Would rather pay full price for another airline"
Pros: "Brand new plane, very clean. I didnt pay for any extras, so the crew didn't really do much for me, but they were friendly. Flight arrived in ATL a bit earlier than expected."
Cons: "Arrived two hours before the flight and we are lucky that we did as the Spirit airline counters for checking bags at the time of this trip were a disaster. There were what seemed to be at least a couple of hundred people in line. The line had to be split into 4 areas just to give people room to move around in Terminal 4 of FLL airport. The line extended outside of the airport and was blocking the valet parking for the entire terminal. We were asked to move to a new area about 4 times and didn't make it to the counter to check our bag for at least an hour. We were very lucky to even make it to the flight on time. Upon arrival, we were unable to leave plane for at least 15 minutes. (Most likely ATL airport problem, but I'm not sure)"
Pros: "Flight attendants were efficient and one went out of her way to help. Captain was informative & more importantly he at least made an announcement every 10-15 minutes while we were stuck in the plane on the runway for an hour and a half."
Cons: "All the big airlines here run those cheap one way flights from FLL-ATL and only Spirit charges almost $50 for a CARRY ON bag. The fee is listed in the small print and I didn't catch it till after I booked. If you don't catch it at all (and many people didn't because I saw them at the airport) they nail you even more at the airport. I recently read that Spirit has the worst on time performance but didn't worry much about a 20-30 minute delay. However, because Spirit was 30 minutes late on the originally scheduled take off time we were still stuck on the runway, 3rd in line for takeoff when the airport shut down for an HOUR AND A HALF due to lightning. Over 2 hours late - most of that delay spent in the cabin on the runway. And we were stuck there only because Spirit was late for the original take off time."
Cons: "We were in the airport, past security, in the terminal waiting to board a plane that never showed up. Kayak sent an email saying the flight was cancelled. There was no indication from Spirit through electronic communication, notifications on their in airport boards, and there were not even any spirit employees in the airport terminal. I called spirit. They confirmed that the flight was cancelled and assured me that it was okay and that they would be able to get me on another flight... in eight days. Yes, really, 8 days. I demanded a refund, flew with another airline, and vowed to never fly spirit again."
Pros: "After a Spirit Airline computer malfunction rendered us hostage (unable to leave the plane) for 4 hours, the passengers were then asked to purchase snacks and beverages. The ac /light/help button panels were falling apart, some partially dangling from the ceiling."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines lacks customer service and empathy. The flight attendants that I made contact with were the absolute worst in the industry, and I can't believe they consider themselves to be "professionals". Dena, an attendant with a very unkempt appearance, did not want to be bothered by any of the passengers, and made this very clear by barking orders at anyone who may have asked her a question. I decided to call Spirit Airlines while we were stuck on the tarmac, and quickly found out why Spirit offers the "cheapest" flights. Spirit does not accept any negative feedback; There is no method of relaying a poor customer experience. As Sam from "customer service" told me, "we do not accept complaints. . . You may submit them through the spirit website. . . Someone may or may not get back with you". This is not the way a business should operate."
Cons: "After my flight was cancelled, the airline call service couldn't book a new flight so I had to wait in a line at the airport until 12am to get rebooked. The staff was obviously tired, which I can understand. However, I asked for the earliest flight out the next morning and I was put on a flight departing at 11 and arriving at 1. Then the gentleman next to me was booked on a flight departing at 945. I asked if I could also get on that flight. After another 45 minutes, I get booked on a flight leaving at 845 arriving at 1. I am truly beside myself. I can understand if there is an oversight, but I then complained and was met with serious disrespect. I never write negative comments, but I urge my fellow humanity to put this company out of business."
Cons: "Why send an email asking me how my flight was to Atlanta when the flight was cancelled after I got to the airport. I was looking forward to taking a much needed and well deserved break. I receive an email during my travel to the airport that the flight was delayed, then another email three minutes later saying that it's back on schedule, and then an employee tells everyone once we got in line that the flight was cancelled. Now I'm hearing about all the hidden fees for baggage, seats etc. Folks, don't even waste your time booking a flight wih Spirit. The saying goes, "You get what you pay for". You can get a refund, but you can't get back time. SMH"

Cons: "I think Kayak should do a better job of providing information about the airlines they represent. While my flight was only 80 dollars, I ended up spending 100+ dollars extra to carry on my suit. This was my first time flying with Spirit, and if I knew that these extra charges would apply, I would have packed differently. As a student, I do not have any disposable income; I found it very misleading that the price to "fly" and the price to buy a ticket were very different. 80 dollar flight vs. additional 110 dollars to get from point A to point B."
