My flight home from Knoxville, TN, included a layover in Atlanta. I boarded the aircraft in Zone 5 and although there was limited overhead space, I was able to put my 'backpack' style roller-bag above my seat. Unfortunately, due to continued bad weather, we had to deplane. There were many people who would have missed their connection, so they rebooked. When we were re-boarding, the gate agent welcomed zone 5 and then made an announcement: All roller-bags for zone 5 passengers and higher will need to be gate checked. I promptly pushed the telescoping handle in and held my bag like a backpack. I was able to bring it on board, which was a relief. Upon entering the aircraft it became apparent that there was easily 40% open overhead space. There were audible signs of angry passengers who felt duped into checking their bags when in fact there were noticeably LESS passengers on the aircraft and TONS of overhead space. I'm not sure what kinds of parameters are used to determine when to cut off roller-bags from being brought on board, but it seemed deceptive and underhanded to have so many people get stuck checking their bags when clearly there was ample room for at least one more zone.

No Internet, no backseat screen, no nothing. I bought a Delta ticket and ended up on American Airlines. How did that happen?

Two delays on two separate planes with parts they could not easily find and replace.

Connection flights should be spaced out farther because too close I missed my connection.

The flight was way too HOT! And the plane did not have any in-flight TV entertainment.

No entertainment. Plane was so small had to pink tag a carry on ive used for 20 years easily on board. The fact the flight got in at midnight, had to wait for crew in fort wayne to allow the plane to approach the gate, THEN had to wait for bag on jet bridge made experience irritating at best.

The gate attendants and the crew were terrible. Because of high winds, they needed to carry more fuel, so they had to get volunteers to take the next flight at 6 am the next day. They did a terrible job of it - our flight ended up taking off just under 3 hours of the scheduled time. I hope to never fly Delta again.

Great service. Great staff. Boarding was a little slow, but I think there was a service dog slowing things down.

We splurged and decided to fly first class. Seats were roomy. But flight crew arrived late to the airport. That delayed our flight. Most of the passengers had to try to make connections flights. I felt bad for them. We checked 4 bags. We got three from the baggage claim carousel. 4th one was lost. Delta online help wasn’t good. Baggage claim staff were sympathetic and nice but we waited around for almost 2 hours and it had t been found. They did find it several hours later and we had to drive back to airport to retrieve it. I won’t be splurging on 1st. Lass again anytime soon. I think we got worse service. I am also not a huge fan of delta but we have family in ATL so we don’t have a ton of choice. What should have been an easy flight turned into a stressful event due to flight crew tardiness and baggage mishandling.

My flight consistently said it was on time and the plane didn’t arrive until after 30 minutes after take off and nothing was announced to passengers

It was great. All the crew were professional and nice.

The flight I was supposed to be on was supposed to take off at 1:50 from State College. It was delayed over and over and over again until somehow I had to rebook on a flight that was supposed to have left State College at 8 am that morning but didn't end up taking off until almost 6 pm. Not only was this completely unacceptable, the "token from United" was a 15 dollar meal voucher that has to be used by today. I would personally like some miles added to my account for this inconvenience. I was in transit for 8 hours from the time I arrive at State College Aiport to when I got home. I was supposed to be home at 3 pm and I returned at 8 pm. Unacceptable. I have not been on an on Time united flight in nearly 5 years.

newer aircraft, ability to connect my headset via blue tooth for entertainment.

Miserable. They moved my seat, but canceled the next leg of my flight. I resolved the issue at my transfer, but that resulted in lost luggage that has taken days off my schedule with no resolution. Worse, they fail to interface effectively with Lufthansa, forcing me to bounce between two equally useless help desks. The apps are unable to handle the situation, the bag dropped off the tracker, and while the call centers are polite, they do not provide written information to assist with cross-airline communication.

The only downside was my cell phone charger wouldn’t work in the charging port but everyone else’s would work in them all. My cell phone cable works fine in my hotel room in Frankfurt.

Flight attendant moved my bag without notifying me and was rude to me when I asked him about it. There was no reason to move it.

Smoothly flight, pleasant flight attendants. I wish there were better food choices.

A three (3) hour flight should have meal service in First Class, not just potato chips!

Surprisingly easy! I was hesitant to try this, but the cost swayed me. I actually felt like I had less stress than all the taxiing and possible delays that occur with short regional flights where you spend less time in the air than getting to and from the plane..

Flight was on time. Staff were friendly. I paid for Economy Plus but was required to check my standard carry-on luggage due to lack of space on the aircraft. This cost me 30 minutes, unexpectedly, in waiting at the baggage claim. This experience did not meet my expectations.

Pilots were fantastic - super smooth. First Class flight attendant was very attentive. Main Cabin flight attendant should try to smooth the rough edges of her voice - very shrill / punitive. Hurt my ears just to listen to her. Recognize they have a (tough) job to do - but tone over speakers needs to be less like scolding a 5 year old.

Delayed and horrible communication and sat on flight for an hour before taking off

Two hours delay, probably one hour because they didn’t bring catering and they had to bring water in board. There a change of aircraft. But delays galore at CLT so it must be a CLT and/or AA operation issue. The 1 hr additional delays because nobody could bring 2 packs of water sooner is probably the best example of this airline operates

It wa sort of on time; the cab was left with some trash

The flight was delayed about an hour for a maintenance specialist to approve the maintenance repair

We lost a day of our vacation because AA did not get the plane to the gate on time. Even though the gate attendant was very clear that it was not weather related, AA would do nothing because there was some snow that day. They basically said the gate attendant was wrong even though she was on the front line of the situation and they were not.

No issues. They did change our gate FOUR times in about 30 minutes which was mildly annoying but the flight was fine.

A very good flight. All personnel were gracious and pleasant. Good flight. No complaints.

American Airlines should be ashamed of their performance on AA1506 on August 14th from DFW to IND. First of all, after we got to the originally assigned gate C7, we were notified with too little notice for a first-flight out situation that the flight would depart from gate A25 in an entirely different terminal -- not just a gate or two away from the original gate. That was the first hiccup that started our day off poorly. It just got worse. Let it be known that the flight crew and gate agents were all as helpful as they could be during all that followed. However, the flight was a horrible mess of an ordeal. The plane was warm and uncomfortable on a hot Dallas morning when we boarded. And apparently we had to get underway for the a/c to be powered up. There was no other explanation for why we had to sit there in the heat. But before we could power up, some paperwork had to be completed, if we heard the announcement clearly enough. Then a "minor" maintenance issue had to be fixed -- but it was enough of an issue that we all had to deplane while it was being fixed, apparently because it was "too warm" on the plane for us to sit there in case the "minor" issue took too long to fix. And after we all finally deplaned and were hanging around the counter for news about when we could reboard, then a flight attendant came up and notified the gate agent that there a passenger at the rear of the plane had caused a major spill of some sort getting up and out of the plane. Turns out that was a bigger and longer delay than whatever the initial mechanical issue caused. According the gate announcements, the mechanical issue had been fixed relatively quickly in due course. But a seat was soaked and had to be cleaned up by a spill. A subsequent announcement then said that the seat belts were affected by the spill and had to cleaned. Then, either the seats or seat belts or both had to be replaced. At each of these announcements, the phrase "we're trying to get maintenance here as soon as we can" kept coming up. Clearly the gate agents were as frustrated as the passengers. After all was said and done, a minor mechanical issue and a major cabin spill issue caused a 3+ hour delay in our flight. American Airlines should be ashamed of its performance on this flight.

The airline schedule services was simply mediocre. The ground crew is fine; they are doing their best. The after-delay services were simply poor, and after-cancelling services were almost non-existence. Receiving refund is one rescuing point, but please keep in mind that, people wants to get home or get to their destinations. Cancelling without aftermath recourse is simply poor services. AA needs to fire the marketing department, and the customer-service related leaders.
