Departure was for the end of May to the end of August. When we were checking in the attendant told us that the ticket was no good and we had to purchase another ticket because the travel was over 90 days. At no time did BA or Kayak let us know this information but had no problem selling us this ticket. We were literally extorted for another $1000.00 so she could depart. Shameful! Will not be using your site or BA ever again."

We were able to check in without a problem, but getting through airport security took a substantial amount of time, which caused sever delays getting to the gate. Once at the gate, we were told that we could no longer board the plane as the gate had already closed. Even more shocking, the service people told use that our entire itinerary (AKA our return flight) was cancelled as a result of this. You can imagine our frustration as we had tickets in hand looking at the door to the plane that we would have been allowed to walk through had security taken 5 minutes less. In the states, if airport security is holding you from missing your flight, this is communicated with the airline and proper arrangements are made. Unfortunately, this was not the case, forcing us to buy a new (last minute) ticket and losing a lot of money."

They were aware that many on the plane were trying to make a fairly quick connection in London. And it was after that connection would have already been missed that they let us know that our flight was canceled and we would have to go back to get our luggage and get re-assigned to another plane. We stood for TWO HOURS to be reassigned with only 2 agents helping a whole plane full of people. Of course, we missed the last flight out that could have connected us. We were told to go to an agent when we got to London to get a hotel room and they would have us all sorted. They did not have us all sorted and that took another half hour. We were at the airport in Schipol for SEVEN hours [and two trips through passport control] before our rescheduled flight to London boarded. When we landed in London, we had to go to the arrivals desk for them to be informed that we needed a hotel. We were able to sleep about 3 hours and had to get back to the airport for an early morning flight. Everyone we dealt with was kind and respectful, but the Airline itself was ill-prepared to handle this cancellation. In addition, they said they would not re-book at the gate, but those who were angry and aggressive were able to do so and get out on the day we were supposed to. Pretty crummy end to a trip."

This was 1 of the 2 worst flights that I have ever been on, only second to my other booked flight for this trip home. This flight was 7+ hours long and it was nothing short of horrible. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and barely went back at all. The male flight attendant was clearly annoyed and was short with every person who would ask for anything. He would roll his eyes at every request by customers. At one point I saw him literally toss a sandwich into a customers lap because they were turned the other way and didn't hear him when he asked if they wanted one. There was no way to watch anything unless you had your own device and had downloaded it yourself prior to the flight."

Cons: "we're professional musicians who fly all the time with fragile equipment. the airline applied an overweight baggage fee (fair enough, normally) but their payment system was down. rather than waive the fee, we were made to wait an hour to pay 150 euros. after scrambling through security we narrowly missed our flight. rebooking took hours and involved going back through security all over again, having our equipment searched for the second time. when it came time to gate-check our guitars, the airline lost them. we wound up boarding our connection to JFK with no idea where they were. finally they turned up on the baggage belt. we would never and have never agreed to send these delicate items through general baggage. One guitar (50 year old gintage guitar) was broken in the process and another of our hard cases was damaged and needs to be replaced. Completely unacceptable from start to finish."

So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

Much less ones with old, uncomfortable seats and zero entertainment options. I don't mean to sound entitled but this experience was night and day in every capacity (comfort, food, service, entertainment) from my flight to Europe on BA. Sad. Lastly, I sat next to a off duty American flight attendant who was quite rude."

I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

The wifi kept on dropping in the plane (both ways). The food is not as good as served on other airlines and they ran out of dishes both ways and we did not have choices and had to eat what was available (which was not good either). Should indicate on seat selection when making purchase if there will be items below seat such as metal boxes that will limit legroom more than for other seats. I was placed at such a seat both ways, and had no legroom for over 8 hrs each way. :/"

I also found their drink cart was not stocked properly and they would have to ask across the isle during all three drink services as opposed to prepping their cart."

Pros: "It was good mostly. I really didn't have a bad experience overall it was pretty good."
Cons: "The only negative thing about the trip back to Tulsa was when I was waiting in Chicago for my flight back home. I went to the lady at the front to see how much longer I had before boarding so I could figure out it I had enough time to get tea. When I asked her she signed really loudly and said five minutes. When I turned around, I looked over my shoulder and she was rolling her eyes at the guy next to her. I get that she probably has to do that a lot, but I spent money to use United and she shouldn't have responded a rude attitude or rolled her eyes. She has a job to do like everyone else."

Pros: "The flight was delayed because the incoming overnight flight was late. But not a big deal. Crew was good. My family of 4 pickcked this flight because it was cheaper than the United Code for the same flight. I bought these tickets with my United Mileage Plus card and avoided any bag fees."
Cons: "Was stuck in the last row because I was not able to navigate the check in process with the Kayak purchase. Flight was bumpy at times I think due to headwinds. Food options could be better. I chose the chicken but was not told it was curry chicken. My family told me the pasta was inedible."

Pros: "Everything ran smoothly and staff was nice"
Cons: "The plane temperature was freezing! My whole body felt numb by the emd of thr flight, I was so congested I could barely breathe and I started to have a sore throat :("

Pros: "Staff had a great attitude. When I complained about the coffee she apologized and said they were getting illy! I cheered."
Cons: "The entertainment screen was the size of a small postcard with terrible resolution. The choice of movies was a fail as the lack of English was also. Felt like I was flying on. Dc10 from the 50s."

Pros: "Crew was attentive, got my membership upgrade without hassle. Enjoyed economy plus with the extra leg room."
Cons: "Older plane with older entertainment options."

Pros: "The inflight snack was a waffle of sorts, very delicious. Boarding was fast and simple"
Cons: "Didn't realize I couldn't bring a rolling carry on, most of the flight had to check their bag at the gate. The steward was weird, he kept hitting on the guy in front of me, which isn't a big deal except he came by frequently and only serviced that one passenger."

Pros: "Loved the roomier seats and leg room."
Cons: "Would've been better without the bag fees. Only tried them because Southwest was full but overall a great experience"

Pros: "No one sat next to me on the airplane. It was a smaller airplane so i appreciated that with my long legs."
Cons: "My flight was delayed several times which set me behind, but was good because of my first flight being delayed as well."

Cons: "Coming from the Netherlands I didn't expect cheese spread on sandwich rather some good cheese"

Cons: "airport was VERY packed! I arrived to the gate 10 minutes before my flight. I asked for window seat (I was not able to make my seat online because of my passport) and they wanted me to pay 10 minutes before the flight for a window seat!! fortunately the plane crew let me sit on window seat since there were lots of empty window seats. The food was not good. The crew was trying so hard to give as less as possible. They were asking "do you want...?" before giving anything. You either need to be awake the whole flight or there is a good chance to miss meal!"
