I explained to the flight attendant how cold I was and asked if I could purchase a blanket. I’m a very understanding person, but even after all of my attempts to warm up (i.e., drinking hot water, moving around, etc.) I was miserable and on the brink of tears. I understand staff must follow company policy but I found this to be horribly inhumane. After reaching out to corporate my issue was never resolved."

Cons: "Where do I start... even though I booked my flights in late July for this late August trip, and even spoke to a representative over the phone about my dog being my carry on item, they never mentioned to me that my first row seats in First Class didn't allow dogs. I had chosen my seats so my partner and I could obviously sit together, but on the day of my flight(s) is when they decided to change my preferred seat which I paid to reserve and moved me into another row in First Class but without sitting by my partner. We had to get our seats fixed before each flight which should have either been alerted to me in the first place or automatically found us seats together. Also, the First Class check in before TSA was useless, as we had to go through the Assistance line anyway and it added considerable time to my trip. Also, once we were at the gate, First Class didn't even board first, but had to wait after three different groups of people were allowed to board first (families with children, injured people, and veterans). While boarding them with some priority is not the issue it's that first class should go before these, then those special groups, THEN general boarding. What was the allure and advantage of First Class? Once I boarded my flight to Seattle and had finally been approached (in flight) by my stewardess about my meal and drink options, she easily asked others before me and listed their options but with me stared blankly and gave me a judgmental look when I ordered champagne and dinner, something almost every other person before me had said to her. After that, getting service was a joke. I had to press the call button to even get her to come by when I needed hot water for my asthma cough attack, and she never even returned to me so I could continue getting more hot water (that I needed). I felt she was doing this out of racism, as I was one of the only brown people in First Class and as I observed, the only one she singled out for this behavior. Also, the in flight tablet to watch movies had grainy, low resolution and all my films were edited for children (curse words were badly edited out) and I think this is unnecessary for anyone unless they are seated with children. I couldn't imagine paying for that tablet and watching such low quality videos on it at a further extension of that cost. Finally, I was accosted by this stewardess again as we were landing for my dog's carrier bag not being shoved even further under the seat in front of me (bear in mind, I never moved my dog or her bag at any time after I had initially placed her under her seat) and honestly I found that to be pretty insulting and humiliating when all I was doing was sitting there. First Class came with literally no perks other than alcohol and subpar food, which I would not pay that extravagant price for ever again. In fact, it left me with no intention at all to continue ever using services with Alaska airlines, even though I have to travel to Alaska often."

The driver quickly took all our boarding passes and checked us in at the gate. We left just a few minutes later! The crew helping us make that flight were so quick and took care of us. The other travelers and I were impressed and very grateful to barely make that flight. We were all sure we would miss it when we first landed. Thank you to all you wonderful people who made that happen!"

As with the outbound flight, this return flight was not full - maybe 40-50%. As they started boarding they announced they located a few people the help with 'load a balance' of the aircraft. What they had done was to compress all passengers in the middle of the plane leaving no space between anyone. It is difficult to understand why everyone is required to wear Masks, then relocated to remove all space between passengers, when there was ample room to allow everyone to be seated with space between.

As a silver medallion I don’t know how to request upgrade and when I call delta I have been on hold 3 times for over 2 hours each and can’t reach anyone.

Pros: "We flew from Anchorage to Boston via Seattle. If there had not been a delay in Anchorage, the flight would have been excellent. However, there was a mechanical problem earlier in the day with a plane to Cincinnati. Our flight was scheduled to leave Anchorage at 4pm, but Delta decided to take our pane from us and use it as a substitute for the original but nonfunctional Cincinatti plane. A ridiculous decision. The Cincinnati people already had missed all their connections, but now all the Seattle people missed theirs as well. When we finally got to Seattle 3 hours late (just before midnight), the desk agent said that Delta had no hotel rooms for us and also no hotel vouchers. We thus had to find a room and pay for it on our own. The next day, we had been rescheduled to Detroit and then on another flight from there to Boston. The flight to Detroit arrived nearly 30 minutes late, and we just barely made our connection. Had we missed it, we would have had to spend that night in Detroit. Delta did its best to keep the two of us together. On the Seattle-Detroit flight we were on opposite sides of the aisle in the same row, but that was in a row right behind a bulkhead, making it easy for us to walk over to each other. On the Detroit-Boston flight we were next to each other. Both flights were completely full, so Delta must have made some effort to keep us together as well as possible."

Ran across the entire terminal to get there and they would not let me on. Last Flight of the night to Bismarck. Missed my uncle's 90th birthday party. Would not give me food voucher. Delta gate agent told me she would lose her job if she did not close the doors 8 minutes prior. However the Minneapolis flight waited for 15 minutes for people to board that plane. How does that compute? Why would they not wait 3 minutes for me rather than pay the money to put me up in a hotel?"

To start off, i was flying with two other people and we were not able to get seats together, and the whole seating process with delta is really difficult even when I had called weeks in advance to see if they could try and seat us together. I understand with main cabin tickets you can only choose your seat as you check in, but it would be nice to be able to request seating with a person/group you are flying with. I was placed in the very back row of a busy flight, and noticed that the horrible smell from the bathrooms which made it unpleasant. As said above, I normally have a pleasant experience.. but being a delta sky member I feel as though i do not really receive any differences as to a non-member. Cons: "The fact that the lack of knowledge regarding international travel visas by the counter staff and supervisor meant that two days of the vacation were lost. Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Pros: "The seats were the widest with the most cushion and padding I've ever had on any flight, I think all their seats were like that. The plane we were on had more leg room than your average flight. Also the backs of the chair were very tall, leaving even mpre head room perfect for tall people . I fly a lot and sometimes my knees hit the seat in front of me or when they recline it shoves the tray to close to you. Not on this flight there was enough room for me to lay back in the seat had the adjustable headrest that went up and down and also curved in to hold your head from falling on your neighbor next to you. Love the fact they had the USB plug-in in front of you. And the crew constantly kept coming through to empty trash and offer beverages. The plane was clean bathrooms in front and back of the airplane. Over all quiet engine and we were above the wings. Temperature good."
Cons: "The crew member that was checking in people at the gate would talk so fast we could barely understand what he was saying on the overhead announcement. I was traveling with someone who was hearing impaired so we were unaware of that they were getting ready to board. The electronic TV monitor wasn't updating to say boarding to notify people that would be helpful for the hearing impaired. Or--if a crew member is muffled on the announcement or talks too fast you can't understand or know what's going on. The most frustrating thing for me and my daughter we were both expecting to use Delta online entertainment. There are no monitor screens in the seats in front of us on this plane. So we were able to use our phones, but it would not download and once It finally downloaded we couldn't upload any of the movies. Connection speed way too slow. The warning said there were too many people on it at that time. Also I like it when they offer free headphones for people that don't have them. An example that would benefit people that don't want to listen to loud people on the plane or babies that are crying."

At the AA booth, even though I was 42 minutes before the flight, they would not let me check my bags (not 45 minutes before) requiring me to stay in Miami overnight before booking me on a standby flight the next day. Customer service representatives were unhelpful and supervisor was rude. As someone who travels a lot, this was the worst service I have ever received from an airline (which says quite a bit). Will rethink ever booking a trip on American again."

Paid over $1,000 for a flight leg that one way and direct on another airline (Alaska air) was $281.00 and the agent took so long to find redirect flight that they couldn't book. Total mess! While struck on the second leg and speaking with AA customer service about the reschedule I was told that they didn't have the ability to rectify the error because they no longer had control of my ticket and that I had to take into consideration that three was an event in San Antonio that caused delays network wide that added tio the initial issue... HOGWASH! 1) it was another AA issue where an AA aircraft drive of the runway while I was in flight on the first errant leg. 2) if they had just been straight from the outset, I wouldn't have been delayed. I will never fly AA AGAIN!"

United is my favorite. They are so much better with service and staff and landings. I've been flying with them for over 40 years. The seats are the only thing that could be better by being a little bigger. Otherwise, fantastic flight.

They could not get my to my destination until noon the next day which forced me to buy a new flight on Alaska air. My flight on Alaska was absolutely fantastic and I regret ever buying any United flight and will not in the future."

Cons: "The crew at the front desks and at the boarding area for my flight from Anchorage, AK, to the San Fran airport however, were extremely rude. The rating for the crew is a 2 because although my flight attendants were awesome, but the service given to me and to my fellow flyers by the Customer Service Agents/Reps at the front desk and the training of a newbie at the gate, when boarding at the Anchorage, Alaska, airport was terrible. They were extremely unprofessional and did not seem to care that the tones of their voices, their facial expressions, as well as their body language, showed that they lacked the manners and knowledge of compassion, respect and courtesy. Their rotten attitudes were insufficient at making the customers/guests of the airlines feel comfortable before flying. I did not appreciate being spoken to the way some of the reps did."

Cons: "There were so many delays that could've easily been avoided. To make matters worse there were two United attendants at the gate hastling every passenger preboarding. The two women were so rude and confrontational. Then I board the plane that I had to be rebooked on because of the delays I missed my connection .. and didn't even get the seat I chose. A woman sat in my seat and refused to move, leaving me with a middle seat next to a lady who was so mean. She kept making rude comments to me throughout my 5 hour flight, and proceeded to get intoxicated. I didn't get home till almost midnight..when I should've been home by 9."

I returned home and Caught another flight the next day through Chicago, as I didn't want to spend the night in the Chicago airport waiting for a connecting flight the next day. The flight crew, United airport personnel, and TSA were all very courteous and professional."
Cons: "There wasn't enough gate personnel to help everyone re-schedule our cancelled flights. The waiting line was very long. All media entertainment had to be paid for in order to access it. Seats were narrow and uncomfortable."

Cons: "I chose the back window seat right in front of the restrooms. Crewmember even said it was the worst seat in the house. Although I didn't pay to upgrade, thee were available seats up there. The attendant even said she would ttry to move things around once people were seate without anyone asking. She just knew our row was going to be uncomfortable.. I am tall with big shoulders, the gentleman next to me was large. All that I ask is the attendant come back after all is settled and explain that it wasn't possible to move things around. Although, if there were seats available I should have been offered a different seat. I have flown a lot on different airlines. I've flown on a 15 hour flight overseas. This is BY FAR the most uncomfortable I have EVER been."

Cons: "Kayak is not transparent enough about highlighting which flights are low cost flights during purchasing. I thought I was purchasing a regular fare where I could bring a normal carry-on onto the flight, but this was a low cost flight and I had to check my bag. This information was not disclosed until after payment, and I believe this is dishonest on the part of Kayak. Kayak needs to be much more upfront about the details of the flights so that we passengers can select flights according to their needs. I felt deceived by the fare and would have purchased a different flight if I would have known ahead of time."
Cons: "I was very I'll and could not complete this flight. Was told by airline to call Kayak for changing date of flight for $50 vs $200 they would charge. Ticket was less than $200. I called Kayak. They said sorry it will cost you $200 per airline policy. Either way, this is unacceptable to me. I will stick with Southwest who let's you change flights on all fares if you use it within one year. So since change fee was more than ticket I just ate the cost. Not happy with UNITED or KAYAK. Won't use either one again."
Cons: "Roundtrip flight to Seattle with a layover, first flight went without incident, so far so good. On the flight back (during a layover) literaly 5 minutes till boarding the plane, the pilot is ready to go, the people are standing in line, United decides it wont make enough $ on the flight and gives it to an Ontario flight. We are canceled and now have to wait 4 additional hours in the airport. Was told it was air traffic control that messed up, not United, which was not even possible and an obvious untruth. Was offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Classic united."

Staff says one thing then Pilot says something completely counter. Then the lack of any sort of heartfelt appology adds to the insult. Every flight was overbooked by at least 5 people. Total incompetence. Moreover, United has made profit so obviously more important than client comfort. The seats were similar to a straight back Dining room chair except with your knees in your chest. They even took away the seat back pouch as a smal comfort to place items to be replaced with an 8 inch high mesh that fits nothing larger than your cell phone. A 6 hour flight and 1 drink service with 1/2 glass of soda. Pay $7.99 only to find out that video does not work through Canada which was the majority of the flight"

She was yelling at me to put my bag in the bag to see if it will fit. She was completely rude and acted like she hated her job! I will NEVER fly with UNITED again! I will be contacting United regarding this issue as well! The other lady at the gate called her led and after that she contacted her supervisor and they also didn't let me on the flight! This was the worst experience I have EVER had! I will NEVER FLY WITH UNITED AGAIN."
Pros: "I thought the newer model 737 with the ambient lighting and redesigned overhead compartments gives the plane a less claustrophobic feel. The pilots did a great job navigating through potential turbulence and the flight crew was attentive and on point. A better experience than the crew on the flight from Seattle to Houston four days before. It is my understanding that Continental crews remained intact upon the merge and my assumption was this was a Continental crew versus the United crew that was not as good."
Cons: "The boarding process with the arbitrary assignment of boarding group 5 giving us no chance to bring our one bag on the plane. There is no real enforcement of the carton policies of these airlines which makes it frustrating for those who follow the rule only to be punished and forced to check the bag and go through baggage claim."
Pros: "Our names are Steve and Jan Hovde if you have any other questions about our flight concerns. We can be reached by phone at 360-332-8414. We did not call FAA, but still very much a concern. We have flown United other times and many other airlines and many Boeing 737's...we noticed other passengers looking at each other because of the clunking and growling sounds."
Cons: "most important I vowed I would try and call FAA about safety concerns with the plane. Mechanical noises prior to take off , during flight(right fan whine) - could hear it when started engines in SF., Some loud clunking at take off bringing in landing wheels and again letting down for landing in Seattle. When plane came to stop at the gate, again some noises we have never heard before on 737's. Please check out that plane more closely. Part of our concern is that Pilot mentioned before take off that they had problems with scheduled 737 and they needed extra time to locate another 737 that could be used(Why our take off was rescheduled twice and different gate)......it seemed that one that had been mothballed may have been brought out to use......We did mention some of this tactfully to stewardess' standing near exit when we got off the plane(She seemed surprised and wondered what we were talking about. We were so thankful we made it. We just figured that flight crew would be tracking these odd noises and pass along to captain if he couldn't hear."
Cons: "The difference in entertainment options between different United flights is frustrating. Unlike some flights, which offer a bunch of free movies and shows you can watch on your phone or tablet, this flight offered a small selection of movies I could pay $8 for access to, which started at pre-determined times so you might pay for them and not even be able to catch the movie from the beginning. My original flight offered an outlet to charge my phone and a fairly large selection of free movies, so I watched 3 movies and the time went by quickly. My return flight did have an outlet, but I didn't want to pay for a bad selection of movies that I couldn't pause or start from the beginning, so it felt like a much longer flight."

Cons: "Being stuck for nearly an hour sweating on a plane with no AC while mechanics were trouble shooting, only to find out that we had to exit the plane, and that it could not fly. Passengers had no idea what to do - whether another plane would be sent for us, whether United would reimburse our ticket if we arranged another flight on our own, etc. We were left to fend for ourselves. I had a wedding to get to with many pre-wedding events, starting this evening. So, I looked for another flight, found one, booked it, and went to United customer service to request reimbursement for my ticket. I was told that United had just learned that another plane was coming for us and would arrive in 30 minutes, at 8:10. (My original flight had been at 6:35). The other flight I had booked was at 10:30 pm. So, United customer service changed canceled my new booking and put me back to my original flight, now arriving at 8:10 and boarding at 8:50. The plane did arrive, but we did not board until 10:50 pm. My flight left at 11:02 pm. Bottom line is that my flight was delayed 4.5 hours. I missed an important event that I was supposed to host. I missed my only opportunity to see a dear friend (and guest of honor) - this is someone I have not seen in person for ten years and was the guest of honor at tonight's celebration that I was supposed to host and missed. Furthermire, I could not carry on a bag that I have carried on for years, and that would have easiky fit. Having to check my bag left me without my phone charger. Of course, the fact that we were 4.5 hours delayed meant that I ran out of power shortly into our long flight from Washington. to Seattle. And the food was awful - stale nuts, . ;, b:;"

Not even a sorry or any type of compensation for a terrible experience"

Pros: "While waiting in the terminal for everyone to board and the plane to be cleared you got your options of watching everything on the Direct TV headrest screens. It was interesting to see what people watched at 1am (4am my time)."
Cons: "Received another handful of snack mix, which was fine. At least I knew not to eat it this time. Once the plan took off, the headrest screens asked you to pay some ridiculous amount of money to watch them for the hour that we were on the plan. I wasn't surprised, but I never found out who killed the lady in my show. Bummer."

Cons: "United has squeezed its Economy class customers into seats that are tolerable only for the shortest. If I were an inch or so taller, I would have found the space intolerable. As it was, my knees were against the seat in front. For a flight as long as this one (over 5 hours from Anchorage to Denver), it was uncomfortable to say the least. The middle of the plane was nearly empty, because United charges $75 per seat for an upgrade. For the round-trip for two of us, that would have added $300 to our bill. The fact that so few are willing to pay the upgrade fee indicates that the increment is too large."
Pros: "We got lucky and there were two empty seats across the aisle, which happened to have extra leg room, and the one gentleman sitting there, graciously offered to move to the window seat so my husband could sit in the aisle seat. My husband was quite happy that he was able to move just across the aisle from me and have the extra leg room."
Cons: "My husband's original seat had a broken jack for headphones and the only thing they could offer was to switch seats with someone that wasn't going to use theirs. Luckily, the man sitting across the aisle heard what was going on and offered his seat to my husband and the gentleman just moved to the window seat. Paying an extra $118 for basically nothing; it's not very clear before you buy it, what exactly your paying the extra money for. On our return flight, we flew American, and the same thing would have only cost us an extra $42. We had to wait in a ridiculously long security line in Chicago and by the time we got to our terminal, 90% of the passengers were already on the flight or in line to enter the plane and that's what we found out we had paid the extra $118 for."
