Cons: "the flight was almost 2 h late without any explanation from the ground crew whats is going on , why is the aircraft late and what would be with the connection flight in Istanbul. while arrived at Istanbul it was total mass : representative of turkish airlines was waiting and focused on a group from Korea or china , helped them and barely answered other passengers who didnt know what is the status of their connection flight , which was not shown on the screen ( to tel aviv for example ). then it turned out that my flight took off 15 min before and i was approached to turkish desk to get voucher for poor meal at 2.30 am in the morning and a new ticket . that was poor compensation for 2 h delay in BUD and delay to substitute flight that took off on 7:45 am , almost 6 h later in istanbul . i was forced to run at the airport like a mad instead of having a rep of the co , explaining the passengers where to go and get their new flight ticket and not run hundred of meters with no address in the terminal area . that experience was so bad i havent been through for 13 years . i arrived TA after 14.5 h of trip for a flight who to take 4 h net including istanbul - TA ."

Before that, they even bothered to show up at the boarding bridge, let alone informing people about their delay. The behavior of the groud crew was an embarrassment."

Cons: "New US regulations requiring tablets and laptops to be stored in checked baggage were not relayed to me. I booked the trip in February and the new regulations went into effect in March, but I was never notified. When we got to Istanbul from Brussels and made our way to the gate, we had to go through a security checkpoint where I was informed that my tablets would be confiscated and given back to me once we landed. They had a claim area set up next to our baggage claim turn-style to get tablets and laptops back, but it took us 30 mintues to get our tablets (only 5 mintues to get our baggage). Again, I realize they're only doing their jobs and this regulation is new, but the system they put in place for it and their total lack of communication for customers who had already booked trips was awful. Also, at the checkpoint I was told my tablets would be confiscated and my passport had a sticker put on it. I moved down the line where I was told they would take my tablets and the next guy told me I was clear to go. I asked for verification and he ushered me along, so along I went. Then, while sitting in the plane waiting to leave, a group of 5 or 6 people came on board and searched me out, saying they didn't have a record of my tablets being handed over. I told them I was told to move on at the second checkpoint and they gave me a look as though I was lying, but then said it wasn't my fault and made me retrieve them from my bag and hand them over. It wasn't a huge deal, but it sure did make me look like an idiot in front of everyone else on the flight who could see it happen. The whole reason we brought our tablets was to read books on the flight, and a 13 hour flight doesn't exactly go by quickly. I udnerstand they're just doing their job, but they should have sent an update to people on these flights."

We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."

I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."

And despite the flight taking place entirely during daylight hours and leaving at 10:30 am, inexplicably we were made to all pull our blinds down and the lights went off after a couple of hours - in the middle of the day and for about 8 hours! So although I had paid for a window seat there was nothing to see apart from the window shade. As it was the middle of the day I could not go to sleep, the person in front of me reclined fully so for me the flight was a hot, claustropobic, dark hell. An utterly miserable experience. I felt like I was going mad, trapped in my own little cell."

The food was not bad either as it was pretty good and included many beverage options. Would like to see how they do for flights lasting longer than 8 hours. Mine was only about 5 and a half hours from Madrid to Tel Aviv."

For an international flight, I believe your site should be much more clear in stating whether the fees paid will include luggage or not. Cons: "Awful. My departing city (ZAG) was unable to process tickets for my connecting flight. Upon arrival to (MAD) the gate agent was distributing tickets on a 1st name basis. Literally just handing out tickets without verifying IDs. Not all us PAX received a ticket and were instructed to go to the customer service desk, all the while boarding was ACTIVE at the gate. While at the customer service desk, Iberia showed little attention and/or urgency for us folks who did not have our connecting flight credentials. I finally received a hand-written ticket to board an international flight. My original seat selection was not honored. The overall flight experience was poor and NOT enjoyable."

Cons: "We booked flights with more than 75 mins connection time in Madrid but then the airline changed their schedule which reduced our connection to less than 55 mins. I was traveling alone with my 5 & 7 year old and we had to run non-stop from our 1st domestic flight to the international one, changing terminals, passing passport control (huge lines), and another security. No help from Iberia at all in terms of providing any assistance like a shuttle bus, quick passage thru passport or security. And they were nonchalant in terms of “if you miss your connecting flight, it’s your problem...”. Come on, we paid $4,500 for 3 tickets, and deserve better customer service than this, specially when you changed the flight schedule for your operational reasons!"

Cons: "Iberia elected to upgrade me to business class for around 70 dollars, to which I agreed. However when boarding my plane they made me wait around for 10 minutes, finally informing me that my business ticket was downgraded to economy because of a "full flight". Which is pretty ridiculous on it's own. But it doesn't end there unfortunately. When I asked how I could get my money back for the faulty ticket they sold me, they wrongly informed me of not one, not two but three desks where they could help me. After running around the airport for about an hour, and having equally useless conversations each receptionist basically told me I was out of luck and I should just call customer support and beg for my money back. So here I am, I basically feel stolen from. As far as I'm concerned I will be willing to go completely out of my way to avoid Iberia Airlines."
