The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"

And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."

The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

There is no wonder wall on the 747 only a wonder "basket" If you are flying from Gatwick, upgrading to premium isn't worth it. Go to upper class or fly with another airline. Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

Boarding was a bit more chaotic than usual and the gate agent made no announcement about boarding procedure, which certainly contributed to the scrum resulting. I arrived from the Skyclub several minutes prior to boarding time and was unable to find a path through to the Priority Boarding Lane. As boarding began she had to redirect at least seventy-five percent of those in front of me as they were not in First Class. Had she made one or more clear announcements about boarding procedure I rather doubt such a misunderstanding would have occurred with so many."

This flight I was unable to utilize the laveratory even once due to this excessive and continuous useage. Cons: "The plane was half way full, i had the seat in the economy section same like a big guy, at one point i asked the flight attendant if i can change my seat to another economy seat (I didn't want a free upgrade) because the guy in my right could fit in his seat with the arm rest down and it was getting uncomfortable for me. She told me if i want a upgrade, witch I refuse to get and didn't help me in any way with the problem that i had. I think for cases like this even though it's an economy seat it still cost 750$ and for a 9h flight witch transformed in a 14h flight because weather condition and fueling problems, flight attendants should be more mindful with the guest confort rather than upselling. Lufthansa it's a geat company with great airplanes but i think that in order to get people to come back you should treat people in the economy class like normal people that pay a price nothing close to the word economy"

The seat I was assigned was also more narrow than the one my wife was assigned. I am tall, and could not move my legs for the trip. Also, the seat controls were on the inside is the seat. We had to show our passports 3 different times between check in and boarding. People had put their passports away, then had to get them out again at the gate. That slowed everything down to a crawl. Our party was not accommodated when we asked for seats together. My husband and I were separated and we were separated from our kids. The ground crew did not seem to care. Take off was delayed, but the captain never told us why. The guy in front of me reclined his seat the whole time. I felt like a sardine in a can. So uncomfortable!"

Cons: "The scheduling of the in flight events made no sense. The cabin was dimmed for take off (logical, given that it was a red-eye). However, once we were at altitude, the lights were put back on to serve dinner. Several people were woken up by this and it took like 1.5 hrs because its a big plane. Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

Pros: "The flight attendants were good - they run a tight ship, both from a safety perspective and looking out for the passengers. That said, they should have allowed me to move to any open seat, except first class, to accommodate any passenger with broken equipment at the seat they selected."

The flight attendants should be allowed to seat an inconvenienced passenger in any open seat in the event of broken equipment. Space in the seats was ridiculously tight for a 7 hr international flight."

The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"

There was no indication during the booking process that this might be the case. The plane was rather small, with litte space. I am rather small person and had difficulties."

Kayak/JustFly made the experience of traveling overseas with a baby more challenging than it otherwise would have been which is a terrible way to conduct business. We will never be using these services again and will tell family and friends to do the same."

Cons: "When we arrived to Chicago we discovered that the airline had tried to "fix" out connecting flight and in the process I was accidentally removed from the same flight as my husband and we were both forced to take detours through London since we had missed our direct flight. Our checked baggage was lost for 2 days. The London airport has more strict rules for carry-on bags and liquids so much of our items were confiscated and the worst part of all was being told at the gate in Chicago that they didn't know why I was removed from the flight but that I would not be allowed to board because they couldn't reach anyone at the American Airlines desk. We pleaded for help for over an hour and were basically asked to sit down and be ignored. I was sobbing when my husband and I were separated and we were worried we might not find eachother in London or in our final destination of Dublin since we had no cell service."

That was not initially told to us and now we are spending over $1000 so we can fly tomorrow plus hotel room. It also affected a business trip to vegas which i needed to cancel. My experience was terrible with finair and american airlines with terrible customer support at the airport. Amazing how we need to pay another 1000 for terrible communication."

I was there because up until I tried to check in at JFK, I was 100% sure I booked a Finnair flight, because that's what Kayak told me. I was pretty pissed off when I found out that SURPRISE I was really flying on American Airlines, pretty much the most boring airline on the planet. When I checked in, I was still unable to get a seat assignment, not until I got to the gate where I had to wait 20 minutes for an agent to show up and sort things out. They finally put me in an emergency exit row, in an extremely uncomfortable non-recline seat (I know, regulations). The flight was also an hour late taking off (I know, not AA's fault), which did not help the experience. Will be more careful next time booking on Kayak."
