I'd like to especially acknowledge Frank, one of the attendants, who sat next to me to make sure I did not feel alone while I was sitting in the back with ice on my head, and felt like the world was spinning. He was my point of trust and warmth. That was not only extraordinary service, but human compassion at it's finest. Furthermore, the head attendant, who's name I could not get in the haze of the flight, escorted me from the plane to the cart who took me to the lounge to recover until my next flight. Thank you, Swiss Airlines, for having employees who knew how to triage my illness, and took care of me like family would. I appreciate it greatly and will surely be booking all my future European flights on Swiss. Please extend my gratitude to the flight crew on my Athens - Zurich flight on 5/28."

Felt like I was being scolded. True, I'm trying to be frugal and avoid a big investment in shock-proof luggage and/or checked baggage fees, but as long as it fits under my seat, what's the big deal? I'm sure I easily weigh at least 70 pounds less than the person sitting next to me, so the extra 4 kg in a backpack that I (female) can personally carry shouldn't be an issue. Then, there's no jetway. You leave the gate to board a bus that takes you to a plane on the tarmac where you must climb a rather large flight of metal stairs. Reverse direction, It takes quite some time and a few crew members to assist those with disabilities to deplane. All the time the rest of the passengers are waiting in the bus to get to their connections. Would only ever fly this airline again if it was the only option to get where I want to go."
Cons: "I arrived just before the hour an hour before departure for a 6am flight, which is in line with their 60 minute policy to find the counter closed. I spent another 25 minutes running around the airport trying to find someone to assist including a ticket agent to adjust my flight. Only to be told I couldn't get a flight out until the next day and I had to pay more for my original ticket for it. I contacted customer service and their response was a simple copy and paste of the rules which I was well aware of (apparently I should have really been there 90 mins before and not 60 according to the site). I only booked with the airline because it offered an 8 hour layover in Athens...a chance to see a bonus city. There are plenty of other airlines with more flexible and consistent policies. I have traveled the world on many airlines and have never had an early check in counter close or to have to chase down a representative to get service."

I am sure they can show the text clearly warning me about the fees for bringing a piece of luggage per person, but I missed it. Therefore, they charged me $35 per person for their registered bag. That’s probably how they “beat” their competitors’ prices. If you include the fees in your calculation, this might still be a good option, but make sure that you read the fine print, or be prepared to pay as “extra” what many airlines offer as basic."

bad flight, And very bad service
This is a shitty airline company. No one takes no responsibility at all for nothing. I missed flight from Vienna to Riga. No body takes responsibility with all these three airlines involved. They messed up my baggage.
The flight was fine. Legroom on this airline is not as good as others, but we were saved by the fact the flight was not full and two of us were able to stretch out over three seats. I found some interesting movies to watch. The TV show selection was rather lacking. Food was ok.

Everyone in the flight crew offered their assistance before I asked and they did with a smile. Seat was comfortable and I didn't ask for upgrade. I paid for extra room on outbound flight only to sit in the most cramped seat ever. And on this flight I didn't bother paying for extra room and was pleasantly surprised I wasn't sardined. Very nice Lufthansa! The pilot made minimal interruptions and said only important stuff. No unnecessary pleasantries. Thank you!"

Cons: "They scheduled our connection flight from Munich to Dulles Wash DC to close to our arrival. For example, the flight from Athens landed just four minutes before boarding started for our connection and we had to go through German customs. Luckily for us there were many passengers on the Athens flight that were also going on Dulles flight the airline waited for the passengers. This scheduling issue caused unnecessary stress that could have been avoided."

Pros: "I have used Kayak for years without issue. This time I was flying SAS for the first time. The plane broke and so that was the first huge delay SAS had terrible customer service. They reminded me several times that I was not a preferred customer and that I had bought my ticket through kayak. This is the reason they gave for lack of help. It was frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure how they expect to gain repeat customers if they treat first time customers like that."

Also make sure you have paid for bags, Kayak will sell you tickets that don't include bags.so double check your reservation. If you are stuck with a ticket that doesn't include bags, call SAS an add bags $35 per bag. Do this at least 24 hours before departure.SAS is the only one that can add the bags, kayak is unable to add bags after purchase."

Cons: "We wanted to check bags and we needed to have our docs checked before we could get a boarding pass for the last leg of the flight. No one was available around the self service kiosks and the line to drop bags or get any service didn't move for 40 minutes. We finally went to the gate. In Copenhagen we had a delay and no one would even talk to us except to say " you are booked in tourist class so I can't help You". They do an excellent job of avoiding any contact with their customers. I fly almost every week for business and have never had this bad of service."

Cons: "You only get one free non-alcoholic drink on this flight and that's really stingy for a 7+ hour a long haul. Drinks should be free on a long haul, especially non-alcoholic ones. There aren't any free small snacks like chips or peanuts. You have to pay for everything and the menu is exorbitantly over priced. It's a cheap and insulting customer strategy. They can save a few bucks in overhead on each customer this way, but they are losing money in the long run because I'll never book with them again due to their tawdry actions. I doubt I am alone."

It was not clear from iceland air website that i had to checkin with SAS. First stood in line for iceland air then had to go stand in line again for company handling SAS. Spent way too much time online doing this. Otherwise trip was fine."

I had the passenger in front of me lean all the way back the entire flight -- just to try and reach something off the floor was impossible because of the tight space."
Cons: "Why does SAS require passengers to use a kiosk to get boarding passes and luggage tags and then make you stand in a queue for 35 minutes just to drop off the luggage at de Gaulle airport in Paris."
