At night when I was hungry, I asked the flight attendant for some snack, both a male and a female served at my cabin said, "we don't have that." I expected SQ staff to serve one step further, instead of stopping at a no. Can't you recommend something? Throughout the entire trip, whenever I asked something, the way they answered always made me feel that I was a trouble to them. Is it because I was in an economy class and that's how you treat me? SQ, you may want to change what you are proud of. It's no longer a first class service, at least not to us poor economy class passengers."

When I asked her to put her chair up, she got mad. She went to staff to insist she could put her chair back. I showed them that I was indeed in a back brace for a health condition and that I needed opportunities to move and shift, cross legs to release tension, etc. Staff sided with the rude woman, who, given the chance to move to an equal seat on the opposite aisle where she could recline, refused to move. I was very frustrated and have never been treated with such discrimination regarding my health concerns."

Pros: "From boarding to landing, I had a great flight. Flight was from NYC to Jakarta via Doha. Flight on a b777 to Jakarta and b787 to Jakarta. Plane had plenty of legroom and nicely designed entertainment system. Service was world class. About every hour or so, a crew member would ask if we wanted drinks. Food was great, had 3 choices of entrees for each meal."

Basically, carry-on overhead compartments have been made smaller on purpose or by engineering error, and this makes me not want to fly Qatar airlines again. Less food options. I went to the Gally and they only had kitkat bars for food. Emirates offer fruit, sandwiches, and many choices at ALL TIMES of the flight for economy class."

My flight schedules were changed few days before departure by Qatar Airways, but only thing I had to do was to confirm that I have noted, my seats and all the rest of details intact, excellent."

Cons: "Before I start my complaint I would like to say that my family and I had 6 emirates flights this year and 5 of those flights were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our traveling with emirates but this 1 flight came out to be the worst flight of my life. I made online check-in and chose our seats and all was successful but when we reached the airport and I opened my app, it displayed that online boarding pass was not available. After moving slowly in a long queue, when I reached near boarding counters, an official checked my name in a list and informed that there was some new tax applied on us and thus I had to visit counter 5 or 6 to pay that tax. We joined the queue of counter 5 but it was not moving at all and I noticed some people being served at counter 5 who were not in the queue, thinking that counter 5 might take longer, I joined counter 6 queue where there were only 1 family and 1 passenger ahead of me, for next half hour we stood there but that queue didn't move. Finally after some time another counter called me, he confirmed that I had made online check-in. We were given boarding passes and were asked to wait for tax processing, After another 15min, we were given all papers and were requested to move to the immigration counter. After immigration when we were going through final security check, the emirates official asked me to hurry up, I showed him that the security process was going on in front of him, upon that he asked why I was late to airport, I informed him that I made online check-in and I was required to be there 90min before the flight but I was there 150min before the flight and it was in front of him how long the tax processing took, upon that he said that I should have been at the boarding counter 240min before the flight and that I should be aware of the facilities at the airport (although it was my 1st time there). I had not made any complaint on what had happened so far to anyone and I was not rude to anyone although I was with my wife and 1.5 years old son who was crying coz of warn weather and thirst, we couldn't provide him with water coz we were standing in queues all the time. But hearing such comments from Emirates official were quite unbearable but still I stayed calm and reached at the gate. When I handed over the boarding passes, I was told that my boarding pass was missing and I was quickly blamed by emirates officials that either I reached there without a boarding pass or I had lost it. When they checked in their system it showed that I was already boarded, I understood that they gave my boarding pass to someone else but they kept on saying that I had lost it and also informed the same to plane crew, then they made a manual boarding pass for me and let me pass the gate. We were the last passengers to enter the plane. When I reached at my seat, there was someone else sitting there, upon taking attendant's help, it was discovered that the passenger sitting there had my boarding pass."

Although the menu said you could have a choice but some of the choices were exhausted by the time crew served it to the half of the travellers and the rest have to eat whatever was leftover. I think Emirates should stock a bit more of the food especially on a plane like Airbus 380. Its a huge aircraft and passengers sting at the vey end had to wait almost 45 min to 1 hr to get their food and that too was whatever leftover. They should make efforts to server all the passengers within a short amount to time rather than keep them waiting for so long. Most of the time more than half of the passengers had already eaten while those sitting in the back were still waiting for their food. Its not cabin crew's inefficiency but rather a policy problem that needs to be addressed."

Cons: "Flight initially was said to be 1 hour late and then it was cancelled altogether. There was no information about why and what are the next steps. People were just following blindly as the group moved, finally everyone was led out of the airport after immigration cancellation, then to baggage claim where we had to collect all checked in big bags and board a bus to take us to hotel . The hotel was good but getting there with the big bags for just a few hours and then the flight was scheduled for night (12 hrs later than original schedule) They could have just held the checked in baggage with them, or arranged an alternate aircraft to arrive sooner."

Cons: "1. I joined at Bangalore. The staff worked strictly according to the rules. While this is good it lends itself to passenger discomfort at times. Example: I had only 1 suitcase of 45 pounds, and I had a hand baggage of 13.7 kgs, because I was carrying all my precious crystalware back to Houston. The attendant kept insisting I lighten the hand baggage to les than 7 kgs. Finally he even suggested I send the hand baggage as checked luggage. He must be insane! I had a few thousand dollars worth of crystal in that hand bag and there was no way I'd send as checked luggage. Finally, I lightened the load to 10 kgs and called his manager and I was allowed to carry the hand luggage. 2. On landing at Dubai, everything unraveled. The airport was full of thousands of stranded passengers because 18 hours ago a plane had crash-landed at the tarmac causing flight cancellations. Obviously Emirates was poorly prepared for handling this this emergency. Many of the passengers, including myself, ended up standing at the customer service counters (there were about 10 customer service stations all over the airport), and every customer station had about 500 irate passengers and 3 or 4 agents handling them. Not only that, the customers were standing in stuffy atmosphere, no fod no water for hours, many mothers were desperate with children. Emirates had no idea how to handle this situation. I caught hold of a senior police official and told him that the least he could do was to give the customers some bottled water to keep them hydrated. Within minutes, in typical Arab hospitality - many cases of bottled water showed up, followed by cupcakes and then Mango Frootis. This helped to calm the passengers down. Then there was the chaos of everyone crowding the service desk. No lines, no semblance of order. After discussion with the policeman, we installed barriers for that passengers would stand single file. One thing that was very wrong and out of our control was there were only 3, sometimes 4, persons behind the desk, attending to more than 500 stranded passengers at each station. I reckon we would need at least 20 or 30 staff at each station. I noted that at each customer depot there were at least 10 computer stations at our service station, but only 3 were manned. Also, there was no one to advise the passengers on their status, what arrangements were being made, what the status update of the situation was...... nothing. We just stood in a bunch at the customer service desk and hoped for some attention. Appalling. Emirates needs to beef up their crisis management strategies. As a Crisis Manager myself, I was appalled to see how poor their capability to respond to a crisis situation was. I have many ideas based on my experience in crisis management. If you want suggestions call me. Besides this crisis, Emirates has always been a very good airline to me. Their everyday service is impeccable and a treat to experience. I had a senior citizen travelling with me in business class while I was travelling in Economy. The return trip from Chicago was okay. However, the ground crew need proper training and need to ensure proper handling of passengers who have special needs. There were two people who needed wheel chair access including my mom. While they got a wheel chair for a person whose travels ended in Abu Dhabi, they did not accomodate for my mom who needed wheel chair access as well. They wanted her to walk instead. They made a big deal in providing wheel chair access to her and only provided the wheel chair once we strongly complained about it. This was also an issue as the plane was not connected via a jetway and was connected with stair cases. They were informed previously that my mom needed wheel chair access through out her trip. It was just a general lack of planning on Etihad's part. The flight was delayed due to technical issues as well and we left 30 minutes late. In addition, my mom was requested the Asian Meal and she was informed that the Asian Meal was not requested in business class. This was deplorable as she was unable to eat much on the flight from Abu Dhabi to Chicago. All in all, the business class experience was not great and would consider other airlines who could do a better job in handling special requests. The departure flight from Chicago was a different experience and the crew on the oubound flight from Chicago was extremely helpful and provided food choices that my mom enjoyed. That was thee epectation from Etihad on our return. However, the ground crew and the in-flight crew were more mediocre in providing the service. My mom did not sleep well on the flight as well and did not have much appreciation for the in-flight entertainment. For a business class expereince, the expectations were higher. However, the experience turned out to be more mediocre.

I thought they would allow it since I had only 1 check in bag but they made me take out that extra kg and check in my carry on as second bag. Finally I asked for an aisle seat and they said the flight was full. But when I boarded the IAD flight I was rather surprised to see quite a few aisle and window seats. So rather than being a great experience, I would say it was a mediocre one because of the Hyderabad staff."

Cons: "After I had run from one end of the airport to the other to go through customs and catch my connecting flight and boarded with 15 minutes to spare, I was pulled off by one of your officials and was not given a reason as to why. The flight attendants were talking about sweeping any areas of the plane that I had been in. It was when we had almost reached customs that I was informed that another passenger who was stuck in Customs had mentioned my name and that is why I was pulled off. So, I was treated like a criminal and questioned and threatened by the customs official who went and searched my belongings to see if I'm lying about what I brought with me. They then tried to get me to fly with the other passenger just because we knew each other, even though I clearly and repeatedly told them I am not traveling with that person. I suppose this isn't all Etihad's fault, but if you are pulling passengers off of your plane, don't ignore their questions and treat them like criminals. Also, when I got back on, the filght attendants were unsympathetic about my situation and smiled it off. It ruined my whole flying experience. Also, the buttons to adjust A/C and call flight attendants was really high up and hard to reach for a petite woman."
Pros: "Having two seated aisle was fantastic for me and my partner because it meant we didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone if we wanted to get up and go to the bathroom and have a stretch. The chairs and leg room was okay, much better than our previous flight. You are fed lots of food so you never go hungry and the entertainment was good. Having USB ports to charge your phone or other devices is fantastic."

Because of her I could not even sleep for a second in the plane. Iliana is very racist. When multi cultural people are around, it a common sense that we have to talk in a language which is understandable by every one. She was speaking in the local language, and messing around with the fellow passengers for a small issue. She is definitely not fit as an air hostess, if she is there as a racist. there was another air hostess who as shouting at us to book business class if we need to order individually. A kid beside me was asking for an ice cream if we had a chance of purchasing it, like we do in domestic airlines. When I was requesting for the ice cream, she mentioned it thrice to book a ticket in business class. Rude absolutely very very rudeeeee. Untolerable service.....worst really worst service. There was no blanket and ear plugs kept on my seat, I request iliana thrice for blanket and ear plugs, she was like i will give you after I serve everyone, but I never had one through out my journey. This is how Eithad has trained their air hostess to handle passengers. seriously I will never ever choose eithad."
