Pros: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Cons: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."

Pros: "The crews were polite and reliable. No bossy or mean like other airlines. they moved prompt, no running or fast walk on aisles, so that passengers can ask things easily. Food was much better comparing with any other companies. The boarding time was delayed one hour, however we landed japan 2, 3 mins later than the estimated arrival time. Landing technique was beautiful. American, United, ANA which I flew caused me have a deep Earache. I didn't get any pain from this flight. I am already scared of returning flight with American airplines."

Pros: "I have food allergies - and though I did not get around to notifying the airlines prior to the trip they did their best to accommodate me - even making sure that my return flight would include this request. The crew were top notch making sure that even the economy travelers like myself were very well taken care of, comforted and if asleep leaving notes to contact them for a meal set aside. I cannot say enough good things about EVA. Every airline could learn from EVA's attention to customer needs."

After we had our first meal, many of us went to sleep, but they did not come around to offer us water or any type of beverage or snack. They said they close the door like 20-30 mins which mean they were able to board everybody in just -2 to 8 minutes only. Amazing. No other flight available for one week because it’s christmas season. I’m not going to the detail of not having my passport (I never left my passport before). They are cheaper from competitors for a reason. No heart here at all. Accident is not acceptable."

The blanket provided is kind of short (unless you're short) so bring your own. I brought my own microfiber which fits in my back pack and I can pull it out. It covers a lot more area and so I was super comfortable."

Need more counters. Doha airport has majority of Indian national personell at check in and luggage checkins. They have to learn some manners and be polite with people. Rudeness is a turn off passengers who are tired"

When I asked her to put her chair up, she got mad. She went to staff to insist she could put her chair back. I showed them that I was indeed in a back brace for a health condition and that I needed opportunities to move and shift, cross legs to release tension, etc. Staff sided with the rude woman, who, given the chance to move to an equal seat on the opposite aisle where she could recline, refused to move. I was very frustrated and have never been treated with such discrimination regarding my health concerns."

This of us whom are above average in height are forced to insure a more painful and uncomfortable flight as a result."

Furthermore, both flights, when we went and when we returned, had more than 30 minutes delay. So in the first one, I almost missed the connection, having to run all across Doha airport, arriving totally sweat to the plane. Furthermore, I have to take care of my back as I have two cervical herniated disks, so I have forbidden to run, but I had no choice so now I'm suffering a lot of pain and started to take my meds again. really an awful experience!"
