Pros: "I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. I’m very thankful they were able to get me on ANA flight at 8pm."

Cons: "They have to take the prize for having the absolute slowest customer service in the world. When I booked my tickets, I emailed customer service to make sure I didn’t get a center seat. It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

Food was much better comparing with any other companies. The boarding time was delayed one hour, however we landed japan 2, 3 mins later than the estimated arrival time. Landing technique was beautiful. American, United, ANA which I flew caused me have a deep Earache. I didn't get any pain from this flight. I am already scared of returning flight with American airplines."

Pros: "The fact that everything is included with the flight makes it very easy to fly with JAL. The staff was friendly and helpful when I was checking in. The agent tried her best to get me a window or aisle seat but was unable to. That didn't matter though. Airlines in the US should learn from them and treat their customers the same way."

Next time we'll try HNL-SAI entry to Nam. The Boeing 787 was a great ride to/from Ha Noi, particularly with JAL service."

Pros: "With Japan Airlines, there is never a doubt in my mind they are going to be the best airline of choice. I was running late to my flight into Haneda to fly out to Singapore. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Cons: "Two key issues: 1. Split up seating 2. Required to pick up and check baggage with limited time due to customs check. 1. They split up all four of our seats (despite booking more than 30 days in advance). Our seven (7) year old daughter was by her self. So was our fifteen (15) year old son. When we addressed it to baggage check (part of major issue number 2), they put two seats together, across an aisle, with both children in them. We obviously just sat one of the adults with the seven year old. This was not just us. SEVERAL families had children seated alone and spread all over the plane. ANA needs to require grouped seating for children under thirteen (13) years old with an adult. 2. Tokyo Haneda is the only airport I can think of where I have to pick up and check baggage again just to clear customs. The flights were 1 hour and 45 minutes apart. With nearly an hour dedicated to getting baggage claimed and getting through customs, we barely had time to fix two of our split seats (see issue 1) and rush via a free bus route that took 6 minutes (luckily we were first stop) to get us to domestic terminal 2. We were then lucky again because we made it through security quickly and our gate happened to be right next to the security check we chose. Another side piece: Haneda Domestic Terminal 2 has four security check areas (A-D). We saw no identifying marks indicating which were closest to which gate. Our bags have already been through a bag check process. Feel free to run them through security scans. Don’t make us wait to collect them just to walk them through the customs desk and check them again."

Going to book directly with actual airline next time"

I must say, the fecal aroma really complemented the on set nausea that was triggered by the turbulence. Every time I thought I was gona drift off to sleep I was rudely awakened by the constant "thwacking" of the bathroom doors. The family next to me was nice enough but they did have a toddler who was very loud and unhappy and the tantrums followed. I have been a server for 14 years and generally can brush annoyances off like this but this was by far the worst flight I have been on."

Cons: "Food was not special and portions rather stngy. Fur length if flight larger portions and an extra snack would be great. ANA 13 hour flight had larger portions and same number of meals Entertainment was mediocre. Current releases of movies would be great."

Pros: "Power outlets. Friendly staff."
Cons: "What entertainment was there? No movie, you had to pay for internet. United to me seems to be a lesser luxurious airline, not like how it use to be. It’s apparent that they are making some cut backs. Not liking this bag fee they’ve added."

Cons: "Stewardess was impatient, rude and not helpful. Asked for milk & it was spoiled which made my daughter gag. Worst part is I called United to confirm they would take care of the transfer of my luggage all the way to my final destination even with sleeping over in Japan & they said yes. Turns out, I had to get all my luggage & check it back in the next day."

Pros: "The 787. Great plane. Great ride."
Cons: "Crew members on all 37 United flights that I have taken in the past 19 months have been rude, unpleasant and grumpy. They do not accommodate modern methods of making children comfortable in seats, such as the use of jetkids and jetbox accessories. I have experienced lies (yes, I’ll be back with more water! Sure, I’ll check for some eye wash for your wife.), misleading (embellishing rules, enforcing rules that do not exist) and overall terrible behavior. With the exception of a few ground crew members who’ve shone through, my interactions with United staff have not been good."

Cons: "Reservation was deleted so check in took a very long time and my seat (reserved weeks in advance) on the long international flight was reassigned to a very undesirable location. Food was not good, and drink service was only done twice on 17 hour flight. It took an hour to start taxiing after we were all seated and left the gate."

Pros: "Punctual flight, fabulous flight attendants, and the best airline food I’ve eaten in a long time. I can’t remember the last time passengers were given a menu to order food from ."

Cons: "My July 11 fiight UA1259 was delayed and I could not connect to Milan. I had to stay in Newark for 1 night. But UA assigned me a hotel about 1 hour driving from Newark Airport. I had to rent by my own money $160 a day. UA should arraign a hotel either close to the airport or pay the rental car for me."

Cons: "It took almost 15 minutes to get my bag back that I had to gate check. We were not allowed to carry on."

Cons: "Customer service via phone was unhelp and kind of snarky. She knew I was several thousand miles from home trying to get back, but wouldn't arrange for me to get on a different plane without a $650 fee. Another airline would have bumped people off their flights so I could get hiome. I was not pleased that my missed flight couoldn't be accommodated reasonably. Apparently my ticket was wroth nothing..."

Pros: "Personnel is nice"
Cons: "There is no one to help guide you if you have questions. Basically if you need help, get in an unorganized line. Check-in is a free for all. Signs are not clear or prominent. TSA Pre-Check was closed at one part even though I was told it was open."

Pros: "The crew was awesome for both of our flights! Very pleased with United!"

Pros: "Male flight attendant was friendly and relatable"
Cons: "Very rocky flight, female flight attendant was mocking male attendant, reading from the manual so I was hearing all the possible worst things that could happen and sanitary conditions of the bathrooms, very unpleasant. We also ran out of water so instead everyone had to wash their hands with the bottled water and sanitary wipes"

Pros: "The flight was uneventful and we landed early. Although there were no entertainment options on the plane besides wifi, I just watched my own shows on the smartphone. The snack that we got was actually not bad."
Cons: "Seat is still a bit small, even with their updated seats that moved the seat pockets to the top. Cushion is hard and became uncomfortable after an hour o so."

Cons: "I need to pay for the entertainment I know the movies have cost but the TV and Music was a sad moment for me thanks God I Have tetris on my cell."

Cons: "The travel Austin-Houston only they serve wather! That's ridiculous. In the way Houston-Quito the fly assist not collaborate in the order of the passenger behind me. He's stay the travel continiusly standing and kick the seat. The people not turn off the cellphones and electronic equipments. The old mans passengers not respect the rules."

Pros: "I like having options to purchase snacks during the flight."
Cons: "Boarding process was horrible. Very little overhead bin space available so many carry on's had to be checked. Leg room was worse than other airlines. Had 3 flights cancelled in a matter of 24 hours when other airlines were running flights at the same time. Needless to say - not a good first experience with United and won't be flying them again any time soon."

Pros: "One of the legs of our flight was canceled due to weather. The staff at the desk was very helpful in getting us rebooked."

Cons: "Check-in staff was so unfriendly and unprofessional, I have decided to never fly United again. It also took almost 25 minutes on-hold to try and get a customer service rep on the phone and by that time I was going to be late for my flight and United would not refund my money even though it was their issue that was causing my delay. There are too many other airlines to have to deal with the rude people at the check-in area and the lack of customer support."
