Seats are more comfortable, there's an in-seat entertainment system, and wifi is different - it's Viasat not Gogo, and it's just $6 per flight - much cheaper than Gogo. However there's no in-seat power like on the Alaska planes, and the entertainment system doesn't allow you to view on your own device like Alaska's planes do. Hopefully they can combine the best of both as they merge service."

Courteously rebooked by the airlines for the following day was unacceptable. We were able to make a connecting flight to a different town and had to rent a car to drive 2 hrs to our original destination. First time flying with Alaska Airlines was not a great experience."

Specifically, and I apologize for not knowing names, the blonde man made strange comments to people, maybe out of nervousness? The blonde woman on the flight seemed to have a short temper with her coworkers and was very short with them, granted she did get run into by both the beverage and food cart in the middle of the plane multiple times, so she was probably pretty annoyed at that. I fly Alaska Airlines most of the time, and this experience was unusual."

Pros: "I needed to change my flight because my international flight from Buenos Aires was delayed due to a national work stoppage and I would miss my scheduled Delta flight from JFK to SAV. The cost difference to take a flight later the same day was exorbitant (over a $500 additional cost to the price of the original ticket) so we elected to fly back to SAV two days later. I do not understand how airlines can get away with charging such exorbitant ticket prices--these prices should be regulated!"

I got to Dallas I was furious complain to customer relations. I at least wanted them to let me in to the admirals club so I could be comfortable for the next four hours. They refuse that but one lady at the customer relations apartment did give me a meal voucher which made me feel a little better."

Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

Cons: "I had very little time to make my connection in Newark. Other airports/airlines have given me a short connection pass which has allowed passengers to make their connection with less stress. The security line inNewsrk was ridiculous. I spoke to a TSA agent who couldn’t have cared less if I missed my flight and a United representative who told me to “just try.” In the end, I had to ask other passengers if I could go ahead of them. While I made my flight with a few minutes to spare, the process could have been much easier and the United Rep could have done more. He could have just called the gate at the very least to let them know I was coming. Apathy is not an indication of good customer service."

Cons: "Ticket agent said I could take my bag on the plane. Gate agent told me my bag not I were going on the plane unless I paid $50 to put the bag below if I wanted to get in the plane. Very matter of fact & rude. I was just about the last person they let board so there really wasn't a chance to discuss with them. No WiFi on a cross country plane, lame. No access to the headrest video screen w/o paying for it, lame. Snotty unconcerned flight attendants as well. Overall one of the worst flights I've had in memory. I would pay more next time to fly another airline."

Pros: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."

Then after you take off they explain you need the United app to watch their entertainment, but you can't download it without purchasing a $24. WiFi. They charge higher prices but act like a discount airline. My last trip with them."

Cons: "They gave us free tv to watch but my headphones didn't work in the jack. Even the pair they gave me didn't work. Also my flight was almost an hour late."

Cons: "You still have to pay to use tv, movies, and internet. The flight attendants did not give me any drink or snacks. They did not say goodbye or wish me a good time back home. Flying in the plane itself was awful, as it continuously shook even when weather was alright. The pilot seemed rude. No warnings from the pilot when we were going through bad weather - just a surprise "HANG ON" as the plane would shake in a frenzy. The chairs were also incredibly uncomfortable and very hard to relax on. I couldnt even sleep well, and it was an overnight trip. Seriously felt so disrespected by the crew and the company, and this experience was the same with all 4 flights I took (to portland and back). I will never again choose United."

Most of their planes did not have screens in the back of the seats. Instead they wanted you to watch on your personal device via their app which worked sub par. The baggage on the return flight was delayed and I almost missed my next flight even though I had a 2 hour 40 min layover. Thankfully that flight was delayed 1 hour and a half. Next time I will stick with airlines I know better. Delta, Emirates, and Qatar all offer superior service and upscale aircraft. The 2k spent was not worth what I received."

Cons: "-Free Soda but charged for water -Had confirmed seats but then our party with 2 toddlers got split up -Semi convenient( rather small could hardly fit a 1 year old) changing table but then flight attendants threw a fit when a stinky diaper was changed in there. -Had to have special programs on device to even play anything, thought I had everything on for return flight to watch movies but nope still needed something extra Wifi only works for United App and Website -Waiting in the shorter line to preboard with our 2 toddlers only to be cut off by a Global Travel Program(?) family with 15+ people"

Cons: "I did not like how my boarding pass for a ticket I had paid for long in advance had a 'see us' note about my seating. The counter attendent waltzed in after boarding had already started and treated the issue like it was a joke. I ended up seated in between two hot messes of people which made the flight seriously uncomfortable, there were no other options supposedly for me. There weren't even options for me to pay the outrageous pick a seat option when I was doing my preflight check in 24 hours in advance."

Finally moved to gate to wait for repairs and allowed to disembark. Flight 2 hours late to Orlando. Direct TV no audio in seat 11F entire flight and I WAS TRYING TO WATCH THE WORLD SERIES!"

Pros: "i like that the pilot got us there on time, after a 30 minute delay. over a missing catering truck. on a flight this short, i could understand if you could just leaving without it. maybe offer free wifi as a comsolation. but i just wanna arrive on time."
Cons: "the whole delay over a catering truck. who cares if i cant get a coke or a cookie? just skip it. i get that you as a company, want the chance to upsell. but if its cutting into my time, im not gonna patronize you in the future. luckily the pilot made up the time in the air. but if i missed my shuttle over your mistake, id be more upset."

But with me .. Rudeness and bad service .. I said "hello , how are you?".. He didn't answer .. I told him when I did my checkin my boarding pass had "See agent" in the seating section .. He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."

If ever a major problem with the aircraft, it would be very hard to exit the plane quickly and safely. Very nervous about this airline. Pilot seems capable and flight was smooth, so I guess that’s a plus. The first time I flew spirit, they didn’t give us the baggage carousel and the attendant in airport didn’t know. Tried another and was given a wrong carosel. The psssaengers found it on their own and called out to others. I always fly BDL to MCO and back. I travel alone or with children. Not much choices on the flights times etc."

Cons: "Our plane had to turn around due to technical difficulties which was ok because we made it back safe but the staff handling our rescheduling was clueless. They told us to call a number so we didn't have to wait in line to talk to the counter agent and the person on the phone actually fought with me telling me I had indeed made it to me destination even though I had explained the scenario multiple times and eventually told me he couldn't do anything for me so I waited in line for 3 hours with no answers. Eventually they put us back on the plane we were on earlier."

Cons: "The booking process was very difficult. It didn't include baggage or seat fees which caused an addition $75 in fees on top of the ticket price. The check in process and baggage payment was horrible and had to be done by creating an online account. The origination flight was delayed causing a missed connection at Fort Lauderdale. Spirit customer service was nice, but they had zero resources to do anything. I had to re book on Southwest which was wonderful! They were so accommodating, and even tried to bring breakfast due to the horrible issues with Spirit."

Pros: "Always forget not to fly them As soon as I booked I saw error in itinerary. Called them. They charged me $20. On flight can't even get water. Check in was problematic. And due to error with check in at flight home, I was bumped to flight five hour later. Despite the fact I made it to gate and there was room on plane. Just listless employees who really don't care. Corporate greed. Make travel the worst."

Pros: "On my way to Myrtle Beach the crew was great, lively and accommodating. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite on the way back to NYC."
Cons: "I flew with my ESA. At Myrtle Beach through the check in to the flight, to take off the validity of my ESA was questioned. At check in my letter was passed around numerous time to see if it would suffice. It clearly stated why I needed my ESA. I was also asked in a very professional way if this was valid before one man gave the green light. I didn't feel comfortable disclosing details of my reason for my ESA, or the fact that it was questioned in general. This was a first as my ESA has flown with me through many different airlines, and my condition, paperwork have never been questioned. In addition on the plane I was told my ESA could not be on my lap and had to be under the seat. What is the point of the ESA? Ultimately once in the air I kept my ESA on my lap. This was a point of contention as the attendant kept coming by and asking she be secure under my seat. Truly an awkward, uncomfortable experience."

But this last experience was the worst, when checking flight status our flight was delayed 45 min, when we arrived at the airport it was only delayed 15 and we were denied entry to the flight BC we were only 40 min early not 45. Even though we were not check bags and are TSA pre check and would have easily made out flight. Money wasted, awful airline, awful aircraft, awful customer service. Book at your own risk."

Cons: "Shameless attempts to overcharge for everything at every single step, including at least 4 while checking in.Half-empty plane and they still want to charge 100$ at boarding for carry-ons. Absurd delay of 7 HOURS without even a warning email and they give you a 7$ food voucher per person. Just to put this in perspective, that doesn't even buy you a sandwich at these airports. Lack of any transparent information. Honestly I feel terrible for their employees."

Cons: "From Detroit to Vegas was 4hr 45 minutes. The same flight with Delta was 3 hours. The baggage fees are high and you have to buy a $9 club to get the cheaper bag rates. I would not fly Spirit again it is not cheaper in the long run."

Spirit finds it STANDARD to require 1-2 hours to stand in THEIR LINEUPS. NEVER AGAIN, SPIRIT."

Cons: "I thought I was saving about $100 flying Spirit on an ATL-BOS round-trip, but they charged me $55 for the 2nd carry-on plus they charge a minimum of $5 fpr seat assignment. That's for each way. Clearly terrible business. These fees were not clearly stated when I purchased the tickets which makes it really hard to make a feal comparison when purchasinv the flight."

Pros: "Medical emergency concerning a passenger was handled quickly and effieciently. The crew was polite to other passengers and discreet with the passenger involved."
Cons: "Flight delay leaving Atlanta (did not involve sick passenger) and small seats. Also did not like charge for carry on luggage."

Pros: "One the flight a women and her child were having a hard time. The toddler was scared and was crying for about 15 minutes. I really appreciated that the flight attendants did their best to help the mom out and were not rude to her. They were very understanding that children cry and very patient and respectful to the mother. I thought it should great service as well as maturity of the staff. It was nice to watch a mother not have deal with rude staff on top of having a distressed child."

Pros: "The airline attendant was willing to laugh at the situation and understood us- made fun of how cheap the airline was"
Cons: "The flight kept changing times, sending me notices, finally hours late and hours after the entire airport was closed we boarded and pushed off, then the plane broke. Two more hours we boarded another plane, landing at 1:30am- then when trying to exit the jet bridge broke leaving us in the plane longer."
