Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "We asked if the Cajun chicken (which by the way isn’t anything like Cajun chicken) contained any nuts as one of us in the party is severely allergic, only to wait more than 15 minutes and were told they don’t have an allergen sheet so they don’t know! Pls take food allergies seriously!"
Cons: "The wifi didn't work very well/at all"
Pros: "The entertainment system was great"
Cons: "The ride was somewhat turbulent but nothing can be done for that"
Pros: "The meal."
Cons: "You have no comfort at you seats"
Pros: "See above"
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Great crew and entertainment. Fairly comfortable seats."
Cons: "Bit tight betweeen seats. Fortunately had three seats for two of us. Slight mechanical issue caused small delay that pilot tried to make up. Better food and amenities on Delta."
Cons: "I’m still hungry and incredibly tired. Nobody buys their main cabin extra product, so there’s many empty seats. Ripe for the families that don’t want to pay extra to sit together. Those families bring kids, screaming kids to a section filled with higher fare paying customers. The FA in my section had such big hips, that she knocked my shoulder EVERYTIME she walked by. Not only that, everytime she did the courtesy reach over to grab empty cups from the middle seat, she hit me with her trash bag. Woulda been fine had I been awake, but I was trying to sleep in between the bouts of screaming from the devil possessed kids."
Pros: "Food was okay."
Cons: "No advance check in left me waiting in line at my connection in order to get a center seat in the middle of a group. There’s no excuse for manual check in in this day and age."
Cons: "Never taken!!!"
Pros: "All the services"
Cons: "TV screen didn't work too well. Delayed starting"
Pros: "We did not fly to Rome on British airways. We flew Delta. Get it together"
Pros: "It was on time and service was ok.."
Cons: "No individual entertainment...or seat back screen... Not even close to Emirates...paying for seats when plane is half empty....shame on AA...."
Pros: "Crew made the best of a bad situation: originally planned plane with sold-out seats replaced by a smaller one -- BAD! Extra kudos for crew for creative swapping to move me to an emergency row seat when I discovered that my **extra-charge** aisle seat was damaged and unusable. Food & beverage service -- adequate, timely (though some nutrition concerns.) Good, current entertainment selections."
Cons: "The obvious -- the switch to a smaller plane, causing some passengers great distress; not realizing that a sold seat was damaged; selling me that damaged seat, and at a premium. Food nutrition -- tasty, but carb-heavy, fatty and salty. Bathrooms -- became rather smelly and unkempt toward last 1/4th of 9+ hour flight."
Pros: "Service was good"
Cons: "Seats were very small and very tight bags did not stow under seats like usual"
Cons: "Either Webjet or BritishAir failed to notify our party in advance to allow a reasonable accommodation of our fully paid requirements."
Pros: "I really liked the seats. Very comfortable especially how far they reckoned and the height of the backrest was perfect for a petite person like myself. Usually they are too tall and the headrest forces my head down. Also amazing selection of movies! Wow, thank you."
Pros: "The flight crew was excellent!"
Cons: "Seating extremely tight"
Pros: "Huge clean plane"
Cons: "Cramped seats"
Cons: "My Chair would not recline it was broken and was crushed every time the guy in front would lay back on his cause I could not move mine!"
Pros: "Good TV's. Great service. Good food."
Cons: "It was long"
Pros: "It was just great"
Cons: "At the terminal , they were not helpful."
Pros: "Everythung was on time."
Cons: "The seats are much closer together ... so challenging for a 6' 2" male"
Pros: "Reasonably large leg room and overhead"
Cons: "Five times they tried to get us to pay for a seat assignment (even after they had assigned seats). Paying $32 for "priority" boarding is rediculous?"
Cons: "Food was mediocre, portions were extremely small, breakfast seriously they should stop serving that muffin with yogurt."
Cons: "Seats were too narrow and hard. The food was mediocre. I ordered a second glass of wine and never got it."
Pros: "Boarding was on time and we departed on time and arrived on schedule-fllight was very comfortable"
Cons: "Snacks were ok but main meal could have been better- suggest u go back to box meal such as a sandwich and piece of fruit."
Cons: "Seats are not designed for long haul flights"
Pros: "Great crew and new plane."
Cons: "The seats are so small and almost no leg room. Very uncomfortable."
Pros: "Everything was great. Easy boarding great comfortable seating and friendly efficient stewardship"
Pros: "we landed. flight was on time"
Cons: "Female flight attendants were rude. I think that if they would have smiled, their faces would have cracked. Even a complete stranger said to me, while waiting for the restroom, "I think that they hate us". One young male attendant was friendly and I believe that he was training. I fear for his training experience with this group of women. One of the lavatories was out of order {....on an international flight! Are you kidding!?!}. I think that they searched for the most antiquated plane that could limp across the ocean for this flight. Nine hours of pure discomfort. My poor 71 year old mother! Zero leg room. Tiny little screen for movies on the ceiling of the middle row. trays were not clean. We paid extra for our seats and wondered how bad the seats were for those that didn't. My mother and I determined that this was ranked as one of the worst flight experiences we have ever had. We are grateful for an amazing experience for our return flight or we would have reconsidered ever flying AA again."
Pros: "Economy seats were comfy Free movies"
Cons: "Small seats, no wifi, no chargers, terrible entertainment."
Pros: "The cabin crew were absolutely outstanding."
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "super slow touchscreen response. menu of entertainment difficult to navigate and unimpressive content"
Pros: "Boeing 777 was very comfortable and quiet. Power provided to each seat. Food and drink were readily available."
Cons: "They had to reboot the entertainment system 2 times to get it working which took over an hour. Had to redo seat assignments. Did not like bogus 79 and 129 dollar seat assignments that were designed to just extract more money from the customer."
Pros: "We arrived on time."
Cons: "I booked with British Airways and later noticed the plane was operated for American Airlines. The seats were cramped and the online entertainment was terrible. On an overseas flight, I expect in 2017 that there will be on-screen entertainment on the back of the seat in front of me. Instead, the movie was projected on a screen in the middle seats on an overhead that was about 10 rows away. Plus, you didn't get to pick your movie. You were stuck with the selections provided by the airline. I would have brought along my DVD player or laptop had I know this was going to happen. American flight crews are not as friendly and accommodating as European flight crews, which is why I try not to select an American carrier. Seats are less comfortable on American carriers also."
Pros: "Not much to like, plus we were late"
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable, no in-seat or personalized entertainment."
Pros: "Nice head rest (although it did not stay bent at angle, so could actually rest against it)."
Cons: "Think it is ridiculous that I had to pay so much to select a seat ahead of time, and it was just a regular seat. I can understand for extra legroom or exit row, but for a regular seat, that is ridiculous. Then there was a fee to change priority boarding, so I could ensure I was able to have my carry-on with me, instead of risk having it go underneath."
Pros: "Take off and landing was incredibly smooth, along with the 8 hour flight from NYC to Rome, Italy. Perhaps the best flight I've ever had."
Cons: "The food wasn't all that good but I didn't have high expectations."
Pros: "There were empty seats close to me, so that was great. The food was pretty good and it was nice that the wine was free."
Cons: "The screen on the back of the seat in front of me did not work well at all so it was difficult to watch movies. (I had to press multiple times to change the screen from one display to another.)"
Pros: "That we amazingly finally made it to Rome."
Cons: "Almost everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Literally, every plane we were supposed to fly on had something wrong with it. We were delayed for hours, missed a connecting flight, had to take another flight which was delayed even longer, they had to find another plane entirely because something was wrong with THAT one. Once we finally got on the plane, we sat on the runway for an hour because there was some kind of TSA-related issue (awesome) and then the airport wouldn't let any planes take off inexplicably. We got to our destination 12 hours later than we were supposed to. But to make up for it, American gave us $10 food vouchers to use in the airport in the middle of the night..."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Cramped seats. Entertainment system outdated"
Pros: "Seats had enough room. Inhad been worred they'd be too close since iwas the middle of a 5 person row."
Cons: "The boarding was terirble. We were over and hr late take off and it was very hot boarding and it took a long time. Also the air was so dry i got a nose bleed."
Pros: "There were too many gate changes ."
Pros: "The flight are crew were amazing though! Food was surprisingly good as well."
Cons: "The entertainment was kind of bad compared to other international flights I went on. You weren't really able to watch what you wanted and it wasn't the best experience."
Cons: "We were in the very last row so they ran out of food options."
