Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.

When I got to Copa check in they told me I didn’t have an assigned seat (and I got there very early) and that she couldn’t help me get a seat assignment until I got to the gate. Then at the gate very poor customer service and she gave me a middle seat without even really looking at the flight. On thr flight food was mediocre. Not good aircirculation on the flight, ac was not good. And I was also on the last group to board, boarding process was a disaster. Will not use Kayak again."

The lady besides me was travelling with all her family, a big group, and by mistake it seems that they ordered 2 gluten free meals. They needed only one. The attendant refused tongive the other lady a normal sandwich!!! He said, yoynare created an issue, now, you have to wait until we finish the service and we will see waht we can do ( we were on the row 6!!!) ant the end she accepted the gluten free because ahe was hungry. Unbelievable answer and zero empathy tonsolve the situation."
Cons: "The quality of service provided by your employees. You really need to work on trainig. Similar issues happened in the second flight. The attitude of Copa employees has been going down the hill in the las year or so."
Cons: "I had an earlier flight that was delayed which caused me to get to the counter 50 minutes before my flight left. The attendant at the counter told me there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call Copa’s reservation number, which he couldn’t even give me he said I needed to look it up myself. Then before I had even called the reservation line he said he was closing the ticket counter and wouldn’t be back until 9:30. I called the reservation line who said that there was nothing they could do because my flight hadn’t even left yet and that I needed to talk to the attendant who had already left. I then waiting over 2 hours for the ticket counter to reopen only to be told that all of my flights through Copa had been cancelled and that I would need to pay almost $2000 just to get on different flights. I ended up having to use a completely different airline and spend an additional $1000 because Copa would not help and was extremely rude. This was the first time I would have flown Copa and I will never fly with them again."

Cons: "They broke off one of the 4 wheels of my checked-in bag rendering it useless. I approached the luggage complaint section of Copa Airlines and they said they only fix or replace bags when they make an actual hole in the fabric, which would basically require using a sharp knife or a chainsaw. Broken wheels (mine was completely gone), handles etc don't count, in other words, they can throw around your bags like they mean nothing to them because their policy protects them, not you. I'm pretty sure Copa isn't the only airline doing this but it needs to be said regardless, it's really not fair the way they treat / abuse customers' belongings without making themselves responsible for hardly any of it."

Flight crew said they did not know why the seat assignment change. I suspect it was done so that the passenger in seat 16D would have the row to herself. I would be very hesitant to fly United again after this treatment."

The line for 1st class and Premier was against the wall, so these passengers had to fight their way through the lines for passengers in sections 3,4,5 just to get to their line. It would make more sense to have groups 1 & 2 in lines which face the door, and keep the lines for 3,4,5 as they are--that is, parallel to the wall. Or, have the lines in the opposite order, so that 1&2 are closest to the concourse, and 5 is next to the wall I actually felt sorry for these 'privileged' passengers who had to fight their way through the other boarding lines just to board when their section was called"

I stand in the gate line for Premier access and the gate crew lady asked me to go and pay for a carry on bag in a very loud voice and asked me to get out of premier access line. When I asked her to take a look at my premier access status, she said stop yelling. Then another man in a suit walks in and first word out of his mouth is not an apology, but a threatening "Don't yell". I just kept walking away from this unqualified person lest it goes out of control. United needs to do a lot better. Just because these gate crew people feel stressed out, they should not take on innocent travelers. Instead of putting a customer under a defensive position, they need to learn to respect the customer. United is training their crew in a wrong way.."

The Tv's on the flight are NOT free and neither are the snacks. I would think due to the long delay with the flight they would offer us free snacks or a free movie. But no."

The entertainment system was a vintage tiny TV which did not work well anyway (loss of image...). The seat was half broken. Not sure where the first class experience was. United please do something... Start first with your employees. Send them to Southwest for training..."

(I am 70 and 4 hours is too long to sit) I usually get an isle seat but ALWAYS have to give up my bag at the gate - my bag which you tell me I can bring ON the plane with me. I do not like having to waste time claiming my bag that you told me I could have with me on the plane. I can pay $25 for that privilege!! The flight attendants always seem like they have their defenses up. One even held up the people trying to board so she could serve a drink to someone in first class. REALLY?? They couldn't wait till the plane was loaded?? I gave this flight a 'good' rating because it was mostly as good as it is going to get with economy passengers needs stripped to the bare minimum."

Airports are not set up to accommodate guests trying to find a few hours of rest in what became an 8 hour layover. Had a single extra plane been a alike at either the connecting airport or our departing airport, none travel plans would have been disturbed. As it stands, we lost a day of vacation due to the recovery of staying up all night in a connecting airport."
