Cons: "The leg room was great, but as a broad-shouldered guy, the width of the seat was miserable. Unfortunately, the Delta 767 doesn't offer any upgrade for a wider seat beyond Delta One, and my employer won't spring for that. Too bad there isn't a premium economy option. Also, the entertainment unit in the seat next to mine malfunctioned, which you wouldn't think would impact me that much except that because it was "seeing" touches randomly throughout the flight, the screen would turn on, off, brighter, dimmer, play random stuff, and just generally be as annoying as possible to everyone nearby throughout an overnight flight."

We had to check a dog so we had to go through the special needs line, they had 2 out of 20 of ticket lines open. My wife also needs a wheelchair and after 45 minutes of standing in line, I spoke to one of the idiots that are supposed to be there to help and he went and got a wheelchair which I had to push my wife in the wheelchair through the zig zag line with 2 large suit cases and a dog. It took us an hour and a half to get tickets and then they called for someone to push the wheelchair and we where told to wait for them there. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to come but no one came so I started pushing her towards the Sercurity check line and finally someone came to push her and he stayed on his phone the entire time. When my wife got to the point where she needed to walk through the metal detector she was having a little trouble getting out of the chair so they told her to just stay in the chair and they would push her through in the wheelchair. When she got through, they almost strip searched her and patted her down like she was a criminal. That took another 25 minutes!!! They the guy pushed her to our gate and insisted on taking the chair back with him, so 5 minutes later they asked if it was anyone who needed assistance getting on the plane. I went up and told them that my wife needed a chair to get on the plane so they had to call and get another chair which took another 10 minutes and finally we got on the plane. It took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to get a ticket and go through Sercurity!!!! Very very very unprofessional!!!"

We had 3 people flying together but did not get the seats assigned in one place. Yes, we did not pay extra for confirmed seats but since we were buying 3 tickets I think 3 seats close to each other (if not in one row) should be expected."

Since the Porter planes are so small they are the first to get bumped. They kept us waiting for 7 hours at the airport rescheduling and delaying our flight until it was finally cancelled. They gave us a $15 meal voucher.. that's it! No offer of accomodations or any assistance whatsoever. I was rebooked for 2 days later!! This is the second time I have had this exact scenario with Porter.. so it is not a chance happening."

At the airport, they changed the gate and then my final boarding time ended up being 8:00pm. So not impressed!! I had pre-purchased a bus ticket home which I lost the money on, Porter has not responded to my request for them to pay for that. PLUS my husband having to then drive 1.5 hours to pick me up and then drive us home another 1.5 hours at 10:30 at night. What a total mess, I had work booked the entire next day and night that I was now exhausted for."

Pros: "The flight crew was professional, friendly and competent. They served the dinner as early in the flight as possible."
Cons: "This was a plane with central screens along the aisle, and the airline chose to broadcast a sci-fi action movie with almost constant flashing blue light, and violent action scenes. This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight."

Cons: "The flight had two legs: from Boston to Toronto and from Toronto to New Delhi. The layover was 1 hr 6 min, which was tight. After checking in our bags, we found out that the first leg of our flight is 2 hours late, so obviously we couldn't take the second flight. Looking at the TV monitors, I noticed that pretty much ALL Air Canada flights are seriously delayed. Luckily, there was an earlier flight to Toronto (which was scheduled to have already left, but it did not leave because that was delayed, too). The staff put us on that flight and double promised to make sure that our checked in baggage gets transferred to this alternate flight. The checked bags did not get transferred. When we arrived at Delhi, after an exasperating 1.5 hour delay after a 20 hour flight, the airline told us, and many others in the same situation, that our baggage did not arrive, and we have to come the next day to pick them up. The issue was, we were not staying in Delhi, just transiting through it. No luck, the airline said, because the customs have to be cleared at the port of entry. We are still waiting for our baggage. Oh, and if that was not enough, the airline allocated well separated seats for all the members of our family. I'd think it would be a common sense that people who have been booked on the same ticket must be assigned consecutive seats. But apparently Air Canada does not have much common sense. NOT flying with them ever again!"

Cons: "Bad There is only one line for security at Air Canada Boston Logan because of the small volume at this check point. Because of this, PreCheck passages need to hold onto there bording pass as they go through security. The first security person who checks ID and boarding pass only told my wife not to take off her shoes. He did not tell her to hold on to her boarding pass, so she put it into the bin for x-ray stuff. So later security personnel then told her to take off her shoes and gave her a body scan because her boarding pass was already in the x-ray machine. I always hold on to my boarding pass thru security but had to take my computer out of my carry-on."

Pros: "AC changed to a different plane for our flight at the last minute, so seat assignments were messed up, and we had paid extra to choose seats. So why pay extra for seating when the airline can put you wherever they want at their discretion. In addition there was a minor delay in take off while the flight deck crew had to re-programmed the avionics to our scheduled route. But we made up the time en route and were only a few minutes late. On the whole, not a bad flight experience, just the usual frustration in the process. I long for the days when flying was a pure pleasure."
Pros: "Hourly flights in a Boing 676. Comfy economy class seats with leather headrest (cleaner than fabric). Ample overhead space for carry ons. Individual TV monitors with entertainment (I prefer leaving it on flight itinerary status while reading a book). Good bretzels & tomato juice served by a multilingual flight staff. Boarding, departure & arrival on time to the second. Can't ask for more."

When I inquired about the continued delay of the boarding time, I was told coldly and with great impatience that there was nothing to worry about, they would get me to the next flight in Toronto. Then the plane arrived over two hours late in Toronto, missing my connecting flight to Shanghai by 10 minutes, over ten of the passengers on my plane were trying to make the same flight to Shanghai, but that flight never waited, taking off on time. So we were rerouted to Beijing, then to Shanghai on a much later flight. Once again, that caused me to miss my last leg of the trip to Xiamen from Shanghai. I overnighted in Shanghai, and did not arrive in xiamen until 48 hours later. The whole time, I could not get in touch with any AC personnel, and was completely left to my own device. No one picked up the hotel expenditure, or compensated for my last leg of the trip. It would be hard to imagine what one would do if he/she could not speak the language while in China The luggage was another horror story. It lingered in Toronto for a couple of extra days before getting on a flight to Shanghai, taking a total of a week to get to Xiamen, where I had to skip part of my event in order to pick it up in person at the airport. In my decades of international flights around the world on numerous airlines, this one has to be the worst. The absence of my luggage completely ruined the highlight events of my trip. Air Canada people was completely absent throughout the ordeal, completely absent once I arrived in China, as their representatives are so scarce in these cities, leaving you at the mercy of their STAR alliance Chinese partners who don't have any direct responsibilities to clean up AC's acts. It's a horror all and all. I have all the boarding tickets to prove this nightmare, and am still recovering from it, literally, physically."

Cons: "Air Canada staff in Boston did not seem to realize that Halifax was an hour ahead in a different time zone. Due to the delay in the Boston Halifax flight, which was known from the time we checked in almost three hours before the scheduled departure, we missed our flight to London. While Air Canada did put us up over night, they were difficult on the phone in planning an alternate route and did not get us out of Canada and to London until 24 hours after we were scheduled to arrive. This was very frustrating for us as we missed an important part of our trip."
Cons: "Ticketed for Air Canada, but it was a code share flight with United Airlines. The check in at United took over 15 minutes because my reservation was not recognized by the United online system. Luckily a United agent was able to work through my paperwork and get me checked in, with luggage, via Ottawa to London, Heathrow. However, at the boarding gate for my flight to Ottawa, my boarding pass was deemed invalid and it took another 15 minutes to issue a new boarding pass - with seating at the back of the bus. Was a frustrating/annoying process. Luckily I encountered two capable United employees who worked to resolve the issues."

Confusion as right beside it was an AC direct flight to Toronto also boarding so lines were mixing. A hot meal provided which was good except for a stale roll and awful "salad". A hot wrap provided later in flight that was awful, should have used pizza pockets. Good crew and good flight. Always carry active noise cancelling ear buds or headphones."

AC knew about it because I told them about my cancelled flight and missed engagements, about their clunky aeroplan AC system and how the two dont communicate For the benefit of customer. They had a few opportunities to extend something to me as a 50K flyer but did not and really didn't care about me or my poor AC experience. This makes me want to change airlines and spend my travel dollars of which they are upwards of $40,000 each year and my husband close to $100,000. Now that is lack lustre customer service"

Cons: "Our plane departed on time, 6:05 AM. About 6:40 A E turned back towards Boston. There was a problem with the wing. It got repaired. We deplaned. And waited. And waited. Then we needed fuel to be removed. And we waited. And waited. Then we got back on board, got to the runway, and the RIGHT ENGINE didn't start. So they tried to repair it, couldn't (didn't want to fly on that old, broken plane anyway at this point), and we had our flight canceled. All told, I spent 10+ hours at Logan Airport. It was an absolute disaster."

Cons: "Hour delay that made me miss my connecting flight. Customer service agent, Theresa, at the United gate was more interested in checking her cell phone text messages & handing out $10 food vouchers than the long of people who have conflicts with connecting flights or missing events in the destination they were flying to. Every minute lost could prevent customers from obtaining another immediate or comparable flight to their destination. Customer service agent sent those who were going to have problems with their connecting flights to the United Airlines service desk, of which, there were no customer service agents at any of the four available stations. I waited 10 minutes for an agent & no one arrived. When I went back to the original line I was standing in, I was forced to go to the back of the line rather than the place I was originally standing. Therefore I waited in line an additional 20-30 minutes. Once I was served they did not have any more seats available on direct flights to Melbourne. They wanted me to fly to NY, then Sydney & then Melbourne. Additionally the customer service agent did not seem confident this flight was not going to have any hiccups. Worst of all, I had been planning this trip for months & it was ruined by United Airlines."

I wasn't carrying any roll-ons or large items but many of my fellow passengers were carrying multiple items in the hope of either getting them on or having them checked for free. Complete shambles with later boarders running up and down the aisle trying to fit their carry-ons into overhead lockers. Solution: Enforce one item only; Apply free checked items at the gate early. Apply a fee for items that don't fit and were not offered up for checking."

Pros: "Old plane, no plugs, no in flight movie, didn't even offer complimentary snacks. Had to pay $10 for a snack box on a 6 hr flight. Completety unacceptable that on such a long trip, they offered no complimentary food, no movie, and although they offered "entertainment" on personal devices, you needed to download the united app to watch on your personal device. But wait, NO PLUGS??. So basically your phone / ipad battery will die 1/2 way through the flight and then you will have no way to use your phone after you arrive at your destination. Way to go united. Your corp execs should be ashamed for making you the worst airline with the highest prices."
Cons: "United has stripped away every element of customer service. We had to tag our own checked luggage. They were unable to even try to seat me together with my toddler child who was seated alone. (Age 3). We scanned our own boarding passes to board. As I boarded with bags and 2 children, 4 flight attendants stood watching and said "make sure you don't hit anyone with your purse as you walk down the aisle". No one offered the slightest help. The flight attendant would not take my trash because she said a diaper had to be disposed of in the restroom. (We were not allowed to stand bc of turbulence.) When I played white noise to soothe my crying lap child, the flight attendant told me I would have to use headphones (which is impossible on an infant.) I won't fly United again."
Cons: "all the televisions were going on and off, on and off, doing this thing that said "searching" and they would go black, and then turn on again in a sequence that I can only describe as a blinking Christmas light pattern all over the plane. It gave me a huge migraine, and the woman next to me covered here TV with a scarf that barely blocked out the light in her face. It was extremely distracting and I couldn't even nap."

Cons: "I'm used to quality service from JetBlue and Virgin America, so this was awful. Nothing was free--not even peanuts! I got a tiny cup of coca-cola for free and that was about it. The staff was curt and not very friendly, the flight was long and uncomfortable, and there was absolutely no on-board entertainment. For a $300 flight that normally costs $150 with other airlines, I don't know what I'm paying for."

Cons: "I couldn't get wifi to work, and I do not like how the fees for wifi are deeply hidden. I prefer direct honesty when it comes to fees. It seemed that the cooling system was not working, and things got a bit stuffy."
