To start off, i was flying with two other people and we were not able to get seats together, and the whole seating process with delta is really difficult even when I had called weeks in advance to see if they could try and seat us together. I understand with main cabin tickets you can only choose your seat as you check in, but it would be nice to be able to request seating with a person/group you are flying with. I was placed in the very back row of a busy flight, and noticed that the horrible smell from the bathrooms which made it unpleasant. As said above, I normally have a pleasant experience.. but being a delta sky member I feel as though i do not really receive any differences as to a non-member. Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

Business class and first have been upgraded with new features."

We waited over 20 minutes for the employee to arrive to work rather late. This put out over 200 people for one irresponsible employee. In my business that employee would of been fired unless there was a very serious reason. So a full plane of passengers were inconvienced as well as many people that were helping the passengers what maybe 300 + for one employee! Doesn't make sense!"

Cons: "Only one plane really gave me a bad experience. The plane was pretty old and cramped and the crew was very rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or didn't want to be in the old plane either, but their performance was bad. One of the attendants, I think his name was Juju, asked me is a soft voice if I would like a drink. With the engines roaring in the background I thought he asked have you been served a drink? I responded "No, I have not." And he started off serving everyone else. I had to call him and asked if he was skipping me and he replied "I asked you if you wanted a drink and you said No!" I explained the engines were loud and I mistaken his words and with an attitude he served me a drink. For the whole 9hr flight I avoided him at all cost and just responded to the other attendants. The other attendants seemed annoyed and would roll their eyes or make a face when people would try to pass them on the aisle, but I in their defense, they were moving a large cart in a small aisle. Passengers should have waited until the aisle was clear before moving. That was my only issue. The next flight was better with no problems."

We were scheduled to board at 1:16 although I am highly disappointed to have gotten home 2.5 hours later than anticipated...communication is my biggest complaint here."

I explained to the attendant at the counter that I had to get to Denver because I had my brother who is a minor meeting me at the airport in Denver and I did not want him alone by himself in a place he'd never been. when trying to reschedule my flight at the counter the attendant was rude and told me I had to call united myself to reschedule my flight. I was on the phone with them for over 45 minutes just to be told there was nothing they could do to help me. They said they had one flight leaving the next morning to denver but it was completely full. Which defeated the purpose because I was going to have to fly back home the following Sunday. So I stuck around and tryed to find a flight to Denver and I over heard the couter attendant book another customer to Denver for that evening when I was told I had to call united myself and pretty much was told I could not be helped. I ended up having to pay another airline 538 dollars to fly my brother to Tulsa instead so he wouldn't be stranded in Denver because I wouldn't get there till the following day. I'm very disappointed in united and there lack of customer service. I especially don't like being told I can't be helped when the attendant at the ticket counter clearly helped someone else. I am so disappointed in my experience with united and will never fly with them again."

AND no wifi on either flight. That really sucks."

Cons: "The only negative thing about the trip back to Tulsa was when I was waiting in Chicago for my flight back home. I went to the lady at the front to see how much longer I had before boarding so I could figure out it I had enough time to get tea. When I asked her she signed really loudly and said five minutes. When I turned around, I looked over my shoulder and she was rolling her eyes at the guy next to her. I get that she probably has to do that a lot, but I spent money to use United and she shouldn't have responded a rude attitude or rolled her eyes. She has a job to do like everyone else."

Cons: "Old prop plane was grounded 5 min. after our boarding time. Went to several gates to try to hop on another flight but nothing got me to my destination in time -- so a total loss. Tried to cancel by phone (line to gate service was 50+ people deep), and was told I couldn't cancel. Then was told I could. Then was told I had to call back! TOTAL LOSS. Refund is needed."

Cons: "Didn't realize I couldn't bring a rolling carry on, most of the flight had to check their bag at the gate. The steward was weird, he kept hitting on the guy in front of me, which isn't a big deal except he came by frequently and only serviced that one passenger."

Cons: "The flight was very late. They gave me a voucher for $50 as a consolation, but it is only on purchasing a new ticket within 90 days, not very helpful. Since they nickel and dime you for seat selection, checked bags etc, it would be nice to at least use the voucher for seat selection on my return trip."

Cons: "Frontier has mastered the art of a cheaply run airline that nickel and dimes you to death with extra fees for EVERYTHING. The Airbus A319 was equipped with hard shell seats with a tiny flip down tray large enough to barely hold two plastic cups with the tightest seat pitch I've ever encountered and rigidly upright non-reclining backs. They made Lufthansa seating a Cadillac by comparison. The tall guy behind me's feet stick out between my feet because he literally had no where else to put them. It's as if they tried to make the plane as uncomfortable as possible. I've flown across the Atlantic in a military transport on nylon webbing seats that were far less painful. There's a fee for baggage, even carry-ons, and for everything in the cabin, including water. The fares aren't cheap either, but I had to get to OKC for the weekend and American and Southwest were fully booked. Only Frontier had seats available, and now I know why. If it's too expensive for you to fly a decent plane, Frontier, just shut it down and save the traveling public a lot of aggravation and discomfort. if it's a choice between Frontier and the bus, take the bus!"

Cons: "After paying $239 for my round trip tickets I went to check in on the day of my flight and was hit with a litany of additional fees! I was charged a passenger fees at $135??? What the heck is that all about?!, Then I had to pay to get an actual seat ($28 each way) ,my checked bag $40 each way and a friggin carry on!! ($30 each way) Seems very deceptive to advertise a $239 round trip flight that over doubles in price when its all said and done."

Cons: "The flight was 60+ minutes late, due to another plane sitting on the runway. The other plane kept passengers sitting on the tarmac for over an hour. We were told the plane had mechanical problems. The waiting area was so crowded with people it was people standing all over the place...it turned out that 2 flights full of people were waiting there. When we finally boarded, the plane had to be refueled and the plane had to be started up by being jumped or something because one motor was not working normallly; this was a bit frightening. Staff was not even smiling, or even comforting when we boarded. Brief apology by pilot."

Pros: "The service was Ok, but our flight was 4 hours delayed and it wasn't mechanical or weather related delay, the airline made a scheduling error, we almost missed our car rental and we didn't get to our destination til really late at night when it should been there in the daytime. Overall, won't fly with them again"

Cons: "No quick bag drop off option, very slow to be processed. Tons of fees, they really add up and if you pay the extras it can easily be more expensive than the competitors. Super rude and careless flight attendant. Asked for bathroom permission for my 3-year-old once we were at full altitude and she denied. Sure enough 2 minutes later an adult just went for it. Then as the seatbelt sign was off she was blocking the aisle with the trolley. When I asked kindly to make room, she didn’t even acknowledge that she heard my request... she did, eventually, without even looking at me. Also very slow to get the stroller and a bit slow to get the baggage but these latter issues may be airport dependent."

Cons: "The seats on these newer planes are ridiculous. The snack tray is so tiny - it really through a wrench into the activities we had planned for the kids. The website really "spins" why paying extra for everything is to your advantage - I don't think so - it's called greed! I longed for an older plane with what we use to think was bad seating - they would feel like a comfortable couch now. These new seats are a pre-formed plastic seat with flimsy material stretched over it. No wifi and no entertainment options. This is truly bare-bones flying."

If you have a flight from the west coast to the south you may still end up delayed for hours. If you get a deal on a short flight frontier is decent. If you have a long flight then I would completely avoid this airline."

Cons: "Waited on tarmac for 25 minutes for our gate to clear. Watched other Frontier airplane pass us on the tarmac and go to an open gate. Also, had a less than one year old traveling on the lap of his mother accross the isle. His high pitched shreeks about broke my ear drums!!!"

I ended up paying $88 on top of the price of the ticket, which would have been nice to know for budgeting purposes."
