Portugal has reopened its borders to travelers arriving from the EU, Schengen Area, Australia, China (including Hong Kong and Macao), South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand and Uruguay.
Travel from the UK and Brazil into Portugal is suspended. Except for the right of entry for national citizens and their families and holders of residence permits in Portugal.
Travelers from areas other than those listed above may enter or transit through Portugal only if they have an "essential" reason such as professional, study, family reunification, health, or humanitarian reasons. Business travelers should be prepared to describe the reason for business travel and may be asked for evidence. Students must have the appropriate visa and/or be prepared to present evidence of registration with a Portuguese educational institution.
Third country national holders of residency permits or long-term resident visas issued by EU member states may transit Portugal to return to their country of residence.
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours of departure. Children under the age of 2 are exempt from COVID-19 testing requirements.
Travelers must complete and present an electronic Passenger Locator Card upon boarding.
Travelers arriving from the UK and Brazil must be a Portuguese national or a citizen legally resident in Portugal and be required to present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours of departure. Travelers without a valid medical certificate with a negative PCR test result will be tested at the airport.
Travelers arriving in Madeira and Porto Santo must complete and submit an epidemiological survey 12-48 hours before departure. This will generate a QR code which must be presented upon arrival. From 9 December, travelers will need a negative COVID-19 test for travel from São Miguel and Terceira to any of the other islands in the archipelago.
Travelers arriving from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia are subject to a 14-day quarantine, at home or in a place indicated by health authorities. Travelers arriving in Madeira and Azores without a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure are subject to COVID-19 test and quarantine until they received the test results.
Residents in Madeira and Azores returning home to the region, will need to take a second COVID-19 test 5-7 days from the date they were first tested. They must self-isolate at home until they know the result of the second test.

Terrible customer service, the bag was missing for four days causing us to spend time shopping for clothes rather than experiencing the city."
Pros: "The problem was a family with 4 children who failed to parent their children which made this 7 hour flight a nightmare. Their children yelled, screamed and cried the entire flight and their parents did nothing. Their children laid in the center aisles, jumped up and down in the seats like a trampoline. They played with the trays like a toy repeatedly opening and closing them for fun. They tossed pillows at each other and the father handed them back to them to do it again and again. The parents didn't even seat their children in - the flight attendant had to do it. In our section there was no sleeping only total frustration. I love kids but sitting behind totally irresponsible parents made this return flight a nightmare while awake"

Long haul flights should always provide these. Most of the flight wasn’t Lufthansa but Air Canada instead. This should be advertised properly as I had no idea."

Pros: "Compared to the flight going the other way, this one was much more comfortable. I didn't have someone's seat back in my face the whole time, and was able to enjoy games on my own device. I like that both USB and normal power options were available, so I was able to play games and charge my phone so I could use it after landing. The food was passable as well, which was surprising."
Cons: "It's unavoidable when flying between multi-lingual locations, but having movies and stuff pause three times for each announcement gets annoying. The rolls served with the meals were very dry. These are small nits, and the flight was generally enjoyable."

They have not replied in 2 months. The worst part was the rude and insensitive remarks by the inflight crew. Hope to never fly on Air Canada again"

She got us to Winnipeg on a midnight flight and we then booked a $1400 Delta flight to Minneapolis from there. We needed to be there by 10 am to attend the legal adoption ceremony of my daughter's infant son. It was very close but we made it. Although my online checkin was successful, once at the airport the attendant would not allow boarding because expiration was within 6 months of travel - a requirement for certain countries. Every single one in the Cabin Crew, far exceeded the norm of Cabin Crew across various airlines I have flown for quite some time. I would definitely fly AC as a primary option in the future, just based on this Crew's performance!"

Cons: "The lady who checked us in caused a major problem with seating. The person I was traveling with was blind and I was her guide. We specifically asked to be seated together and the lady told me we were. I even confirmed with her and she told me yes again. When we boarded we found out our seats were 17 rows apart. I found out that she did this for the connecting flight as well (not as far apart but still not together) this caused a great deal of stress as I couldn't help her when I needed to."

There was no inflight entertainment for an 8+ hour flight - you had to rent iPads which is crazy these days. We were late to takeoff due to airport traffic which isn't the airlines fault but then because the customs baggage scanning system went down at Montreal my husband missed his connection - was eventually put on my flight after two trips to ticketing and three calls to aircanada but his bag never arrived in Chicago. We are still waiting for it."

Once we landed I had to clear customs in Canada and get to the new flight. They told me when I finally had to make through the airport and through customs that I need to manage my time better and understand and give myself plenty of time to make the flight.. REALLY??? It wasn't my fault that their crappy plane wasn't working right wasn't my fault we were delayed but I need to manage my time better I think they fell and bumped their head!!"

Pros: "Wel,l my flight out of SFO was delayed by an hour and ~20 minutes, which was the length of my layover in Toronto. The pilot was able to make up some time in the air, but I still had to go through customs, security, and then run through most of the Toronto airport with only 25 minutes (before my flight left, probably even less because they close the doors before take off). I was off the plane at 7:30. My flight to Charlottetown was on-time, leaving at 7:55. The nicest male flight attendant on the plane moved me to a seat right before first class and put my carry-on in the closet at the front so I could be of the first off the plane! I ran through the airport, customs, security and all. I got to the gate at 7:41. The lady at the gate saw me running from far off and asked if I was Michelle. She was so happy that I had made it and let me catch me breath before I boarded. The delay on the first flight was very unfortunate and stress-inducing, but all the Air Canada people I interacted with along the way were very wonderful."
