Cons: "I was denied checking in a the counter. I bought the ticket with a friends credit card and they needed to have the actual card to swipe and then only they get access to my booking. It is company policy but it is not stated when you are making the purchase the airlines website. It says so on the bottom of the ticket on the page long rules in small print. And in all honesty who reads all of that these days. The ground crew were nice enough to take me to the airlines office at the airport and figure out a solution. It took an hour and a half to sort it out and get a verification from headquarters office in Srilanka."

The entertainment system was touch-screen."

Pros: "Being a QR Gold member and one world airline I opt UL for few travels by which i can get additional miles and travel in business with less money compared to QR. The service is good and the flights are always in time and well clean. There ia flat seats between Doha to Colombo and from there to Kerala is normal flight but its fine. Business class lounge in Colombo is good with free feet and head massage. When there is a five hour plus transit, free hotel is provided by UL. Overall i like their flights and service and food."

Cons: "The boarding process is terribly disorganized. And they were over an hour late boarding and taking off. Which resulted in me missing my connection in Frankfurt. They put us on later flights which added another 5 hours to my already lengthy travel!!!"

The repair needed the A/C to be turned off... and took 4.5 hours. We were not allowed to get down. The plane became very hot. We were served a (not very tasty) meal while still on the tarmac. The crew opened the emergency doors to get us some air (which was appreciated but probably wasn't safe; they should have gotten us off the plane). After this, the crew failed to replenish and clean the lavatories throughout the flight; they were consistently out of toilet paper, etc. Extremely unpleasant experience."

Pros: "New biz class lay-flat seats were nice, though inconsistently-wide--I am 74 inches long, so was looking forward to the advertised 76-in layflat seats, but it turns out that when laid flat, the last foot or so of the seat is crammed in to a tiny cavity underneath the seat in front of you, so the only way to take full advantage of that length is to lay completely still on your back as if you were in a coffin."

This would effect my choice airline for my future travels."

Also we have a 7+ hour international flight on a very small plane with no free food or drinks. Just not a very good flight experience overall."

The choice of 15kg as the limit is a BIG problem for international travelers who may be coming for longer stays. Air India has a much friendlier policy for checked and carryon baggage and I would choose it by far. We were charged for every kilo even though prepay options online were not user friendly. 4 thumbs down, way down."

Cons: "When researching flights, I really wish AirAsia's procedures were spelled out. Having to pay for each checked bag and each kg over a relatively low allowance was extremely annoying. Even worse, each leg of the flight (due to a layover) required payment. In addition, paying for the seat, paying for peanuts and water?? Probably the worst was the air crew refusing to give a blanket to my freezing fiance without purchasing the pillow, blanket and eye mask bundle. Seriously?? Then towards the end of the flight, the crew walk the aisles holding alcohol and perfume trying to peddle their duty-free products on the plane itself. It was quite evident by this point that the competitve ticket price is a hoax, and all that they are interested in is getting as much money from you as possible. Unless I have no choice, I will never fly this airline again. Please, warn people of these practices BEFORE they purchase the tickets!!"

Cons: "Flight was delayed by over 9 hours out of Colombo. Missed our connection to Ho Chi Minh city. Colombo ground crew and customer service didn't have any idea about the status of the flight."

Cons: "It was my first time flying a LCC. OK, it is my fault for not knowing they charge much higher rate of extras for any add-ons you fail to include when you first book the flight. I get it. But why do they make it impossible to access "manage your flight" online to make necessary changes on return flight? And I got nowhere with the online chat box, s nowhere to turn.... Making such changes on Tiger Air was so much easier and intuitive. I'll never fly Air Asia if I can help it."

Cons: "I was charged $94 canadian to check one bag that weighed in at 10kg. I honestly thought the man at the desk was joking. After that he sneered at me and suggested that if I had not booked through Kayak and instead through the airline, that it would be a little cheaper. He then pushed me to hand over my credit card so he could charge me. From then on all I have to say is that the planes have no entertainment, no leg room (they are known for the insanely tight seats) and no food. Not even a drop of water was offered unless you pay on board. Interesting...I wonder what they do then with all of the money they took to accept my one bag (it was seriously 10k, I'm a small girl travelling alone there was nothing large about it). All that to say, I wish I could get some money back, I would never have paid so much to check a bag if I had the opportunity to cancel the flight all together. I'm beyond unhappy with my experience."

Staff spend more time selling AirAsia paraphanila and duty free than attending customers. No water nothing is offered for free. One flight booked had one luggage Free and the next we paid 72americian for 1 small suitcase. No info provided on luggage when booking. Sneaky way to make money. Use Firefly Airlines for a great budget airline"

Can't get ANYTHING to eat or drink without paying in local currency cash, not even water. Seats squished together and really uncomfortable. Baggage takes a long time to come out. Poor wayfinding at Kuala Lumpur Airport."

Cons: "Baggage Fees It seems as if this is not an unusual complaint. Maybe the airline should reconsider their policy in a gesture of customer service rather than an opportunity to deceivingly charge exorbitant fees."

Pros: "In the US most recognize Southwest Airlines as an efficient low-cost carrier. AirAsia is all that with nice aircraft AND comfortable assigned seats."
Cons: "If your going to check a bag you can do it easily at the airport and you will pay per pound/kilo. If you know the approximate weight you can do it in advance on-line and save time. Example: 40 kilos /80 lbs was $40 usd."

Pros: "It was nice to see a vegetarian option on an in flight menu. The vegetarian curry was nice."
Cons: "We arrived a full 2 hours before our flight, as did many other people. Unfortunately, as they only had 2 people working at the check-in desk, we waited in line for over an hour to get checked in. Everyone was telling the staff that we were all at risk of missing our flight (as we still needed to clear security and immigration), however nothing changed. The girls behind the desk seemed genuinely flustered and sorry about the situation, but unfortunately no one else came to support. We made our flight by the skin of our teeth, but it seems that people in line behind us weren't so lucky."

Cons: "I was charged $84 at the airport to check my bag. I have not flown with Air Asia in years and I did not remember that I would not be able to check my bag for free, let alone have to pay $84. I was shocked and disgusted. Air Asia should make their baggage fees more visible and honest so when a customer books a flight, they can take those fees in to consideration. I will spread the word to others that Air Asia is dishonest and should be avoided at all costs."

Pros: "There is no tv and there is internet but no place to charge your phone or tablet, so in a 4 hrs flight the Internet service is useless cause in 1 hour the battery will just go down. I ordered the food and the chicken was cold. For boarding, they should call by row and not having everyone lining up. The crew was nice and the girl at check in very helpful."

Cons: "They cancelled the flight on Thursday and did not send me the refund."

Cons: "It wasn't that we had to buy allowances for luggage ahead of time. So we were checking in, we ended up paying a little over 2000 HKD (~$280 USD) just for luggage (50kg). Needless to say we were pretty pissed about it. As long you are careful though with this point, it is just any airline."

All they did was walk around with their noses on the air. Never, check seat belts when we were landing. Yes, cheap airfare with the worst service of all airlines I have flown with."

Cons: "Messed about by several Air Asia crew..bounced around from one desk to the next. Absolutely nobody wanting to take responsibility and offer any service. And you wonder why people lose it at airports. Day two in Langkawi and still no sight if bag. Air Asia care factor - ZERO."

Cons: "Air asi is always late. This time one and a half hours. Also staff very average with friendliness. Cheaper flight but rather pay more and have a more flowing and more professional enjoable trip. Below average. Hope they canstep it up."
